Hey guys! Though I have been on the site for a while, this is my first RMT! I recently got a Naive Shiny Treecko(with 4 perfect IVs) so I'm gonna go ahead and build an ORAS team around my lucky find! The Mega Sceptile is a very cool new treat for Sceptile, so I'm so excited to use him.
Sceptile @ Sceptilite
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Earthquake
This guy is my main pokemon for this team. Though he's pretty frail, Mega Sceptile is a great pokemon. This mixed variant of Sceptile is a great attacker, being able to Take down threats like Rotom-W, Keldeo, Slowbro, Tyrannitar, Garchomp, Dragonite w/o Multiscale, and Hippodown. He also has the coverage to deal with Heatran, and KO the Electric types it checks. He will mainly function as a hit-and-run attacker, spamming Leaf Storm, out. This guy is great for taking on both hyper offensive and Bulky offensive teams. However, He has a hard time with fairies, bulky steels, and priority spammers such as Mamoswine and Weavile.
Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power Electric
This guy is a special revenge killer that can take out Ice Shard users like Mega Glalie, Weavile, and Mamoswine. It also has the added bonus of taking out threats like greninja, heatran, mega gyarados, tyrannitar, and Lando T. Mega Sceptile in return scares away the Electric-Types such as Rotom-W, and Assault Vest Raikou. This guy is here mainly to revenge kill, and to have an answer to Weavile and Mamoswine.
Bisharp @ BlackGlasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
This guy is the Physical attacker for my team. He can check a majority of fairies, Pursuit trap the Lati twins(specifically scarf Latios), and threaten out Chansey with Knock Off. He threatens pokemon, offensive and defensive alike This guy is a very useful member of my team that plays a key role in helping my mega Sceptile sweep.
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
This guy is the specially defensive tank for my team. He's there to absorb hits for my offensive pokemon, while also checking steel-types like Jirachi and Scizor, Which mega sceptile has a hard time with. He also sets up Stealth Rocks. Bisharp makes defog users wary with defiant, which helps keep rocks up
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
This Clefable will serve as my cleric to the team, healing away annoying status and passing wishes to my other pokemon. He plays an essential role to my team, as since none of my other pokemon can really heal themselves, Clefable really helps out. He has good defensive synergy with Heatran, as he can take the Poison and Steel types that Clefable hates, while Clefable can take on Physical threats like Tyrannitar and Conkelldur that can beat Heatran.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 68 SpA / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Defog
- U-turn
This guy's is really a filler. The only thing that I would want on my team is a bulky pivot that can get my offensive pokemon into the battle relatively unscathed. He also, can tank some hits pretty effectively, and has the added bonus of defog support. This is the most dispensible member of my team, so dont be afraid to plug a brand new pokemon!
