I could go on for ages but it's just a great soundtrack for one of the best horror movies of all time. Also honorable mention to my fav movie Alien for its amazing soundtrack, was too hard to just pick one standout song in it though so I went with the most iconic instead

Song: Thomas Newman – Nemo Egg
Description: A song I always listen to when life is getting hard or I feel like there is nothing left to live for. The piano and strings make me feel as if I am a baby again, swaying in my rocker the way fish swim through the ocean; for there is no set destination, but my journey has only just begun and the current will take me where it may.

Can't have this category without this mention...
Song: Holding Out for a Hero - Jennifer Saunders

Joe Satriani Nineteen Eighty

bo en my time
Genres: Art Pop, Bitpop, Kawaii Future Bass
Description: Besides the funny hikikomori game that makes you want therapy after the true ending (Omori, also play the game it's great, don't look up the true ending, PLAY IT.), this song is great, hits hard on the beat drop, and when i want to eat fresh peaches at 11:00 PM ET, that i don't have.
The 8-Bit Big Band Snake Eater - Big Band Version ft. Tiffany Mann
Genre: Jazz Orchestra
Both the original song, and this cover make me feel like becoming a old man named Snake who went through a microwave hall and is in a tech heavy suit that's broken, to beat up my older brother, named liquid who went through a radiation field and is not wearing a tech heavy suit that's broken.
That's all of them. (I think for now. )
Song: Mitski - Shame
Genre: Indie Rock
Description: Honestly always thought this had a horror movie trailer feel to it, makes me feel uneasy.
Song: Tim Buckley - Starsailor

Song: Behemoth - Lucifer
Genre: Black Metal
Description: Given that this has officially taken the #1 most played spot by playing time on lastfm, it feels only fitting that this should be my rec. Just a fantastic song all around.
Song: DIA – Mr. Potter
Genre: K-Pop, Electronic
Description: I know MBK Entertainment had to be shaking in their boots trying to avoid J.K.'s lawyers while using her trademarked spell names and the name Potter in the lyrics to this classic Halloween bop. Fortunately, DIA is so unknown that I don't think Transphobe Rowling ever cared, let alone heard about it. Happy 'ween!
Song: Secede - Hospital Requium

"IndigenousAwareness Month—also known as American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month—in April, in acknowledgement of the dark history of not only Thanksgiving, but the pointed 2020 Proclamation on National American History and Founders Month, and the continued acknowledgement of Columbus Day over Indigenous People's Day." - University of Oklahoma
If you see anyone who's American Indian or Alaska Native, go say hello, do something nice for them, i don't know, it's Indigenous Awareness month, so say hello and wish em a happy Indigenous awareness month i guess. :)

Genres: Classic Jazz, Funk and early internet aesthetic. Dancefloor Of The Mind

So have fun thinking about that for the rest of the day or month. :)
Song: The 2013th Noel
Genre: idk indie something
Description: one of my favorite emperor x songs off the best christmas album ever made in my humble opinion. honorary mention to his rendition of feliz navidad for sounding like it was made with a broken fisher price keyboard
Song: Tori Amos - Christmastide
Genre: Singer-songwriter, festive shit
Description: Honestly barely even a christmas EP outside of sounding wintery, an amazing collection of songs either way
Song: Girls' Generation TTS - Dear Santa
Genre: K-Pop, Holiday music
Description: This is one of those Christmas songs I can listen to at any time of the year and enjoy. Seohyun's climax at the end of the bridge "Santa he won't let me dooown~...!" followed by the trio's "Santa he won't leeeet me dooooooown~" is one of the merriest, holliest, jolliest things I've ever heard. The English version of this K-Pop classic is for once superior to the original Korean version.
Song: One Piece - Utae! Jingle Bell
Genre: Festive songs
Description: Voice Acting Cast of One Piece Anime singing Japanese and funky version of Jingle bells
Song: yo la tengo - it's christmas time
Genre: indie rock, festive shit
Description: idk man i don't listen to a lot of christmas music so heres a weird ass christmas song from one of my favorite bands
Song: Run the Jewels - A Christmas F*cking Miracle
Description: El-P created a banger instrumental that manages to be both festive and ominous. Alongside some of the hardest lyrics of all time, this track is one of RTJ's crowning achievements.
Description: I didn't get to listen to a recording firsthand when our choir received a score of this choral work. When our choir get to perform that work, I was deeply touched, and I ended up listening to other renditions of this work, which the one by Atlanta Master Chorale featuring Jamie Burton was the closest to what we've done in our Christmas engagements. The carol was written for one of the opera's greats: the late Jessye Norman.
Song: Christmas in Our Hearts text and music by Jose Mari Chan and Rina Caniza, arranged by Ben Bram, performed by Pentatonix, featuring Lea Salonga
Genre: Choral (a capella)
Description: Apparently, the Philippines celebrate Christmas as early as September, with malls playing (the original) Jose Mari Chan's "Christmas in Our Hearts", and it has become a running gag for all of us Filipinos. When I saw Pentatonix, of all vocal groups, doing a rendition of this Christmas classic, I was really excited to hear it, and with Lea Salonga (who happened to be Jose Mari Chan's candidate for that song's rendition) being part of the music is icing on the cake.
Lemon Demon Cabinet Man
Genre: Pop rock, alternative rock, and indie rock.
Description: Look at the title of the song, pretty obvious if you tell me, also spihon silos, a fellow pokemon showdowner really likes this song.
Tom Cardy Mixed Messages
Genres: synth-pop andMusical Comedy that often incorporates elements of awkward humour, observational humour, and surreal humour.

Yugo Kanno The Hand

Description: "I'm not that smart, okay? I just do what my heart tells me to do." - Okuyasu Nijimura, From Jojo Part 4.
