I was late, meant to do this yesterday.

JUNE STATS ARE NOW OUT

GET YOUR DARK HORSES HERE

And remember...can't use any mons being retested because they had no usage in the previous month's stats. RIP Tornadus-T.

On the plus side, you can at least use the mons who fell from OU this month, though...good luck keeping your usage level within 35% if you choose to do so.

can we just like quickban houndoom as a dark horse? like seriously what the fuck how does that thing get less usage than scrafty, i know that blissey and nape fucked it hard but that's no reason that it should literally drop THAT much from usage when it was doing pretty well in the tier before drops. all of its main problems from the drops are kinda fucked by psyshock mew. it seems too good to be considered a pick for dark horse but its your call so whatevs.

Anyways;

Alt: um kek

Pokemon: Alomomola, Aromatisse, Amoonguss :^)

i'll send you the team (on pm in here so i dont lose it) before i start laddering, probably on saturday.

**EDIT** Not to sure if I will have a ton of time to ladder as I have a lot on my plate for the community and irl. I hope this doesn't mean I get disqualified or something, but I plan to ladder as much as I can if I am not, :)

I hit 1500 already. here's 2 replays showing me get to 1515.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-138455502 to 1508
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-138452235 to 1515 (I have no idea why the guy forfeited, but I don't care).

I will be trying for 1600 since this team is pretty good IMO. Here are some quick opinions though:

Cofagrigus: Completely underestimated. He was a beast in Gen 5 and Knock Off scares him more, but it's not too bad. He did get T-Spikes which is a huge boon for my team.

Scrafty: One of my personal favorites from early Gen 5 OU. Other than Crawdaunt, he's the only Knock Off User that gets Dragon Dance plus Moxie and fantastic coverage in HJK and Ice Punch/Poison Jab. Definitely a beast.

Cresseila: I underestimated this pink duck so many times. But, lo and behold, it can tank hits like nobody's business. It got a new addition to it's movepool in the form of Moonblast to finally smack around those dark types.

Cobalion: He is OK to say the least. I've been running him as a scarfer as opposed to sweeper or utility. I needed a reliable check to Sucker Punch users like Mega Absol and Honchkrow and he was able to check both reliably (which is tough since Mega Absol can go very easily mixed).

I have a few replays that show the goal of the team, but will upload those later on!

My team:

Cofagrigus: I run a Phys Def set with T-Spikes, Haze, S-Ball and WoW. This is very anti-meta right now and I can give you several reasons.
1. A Hazard setter that can spinblock- special trait only shared by Froslass and Golurk. Forretress can set up hazards, but it really can't do too much to Cof (as you can see in the first replay below).
2. Mummy is very good for pokes that are reliant on their ability: Mega Aggron, Torn-T (who can be worn down by spamming u-turn), etc..
3. WoW stops Defoggers like Crobat from coming in for free.
4. S-Ball threatens premier Defogger like Mew and Spinner Starmie from switching in for free.
5. Knock Off is still prevalent, but is more of a utility move at this moment, or a spammable move by obvious pokes (Krookodile, Mienshao).

Scrafty/Cobalion: My Knock Off absorbers. Cobalion is my scarfer of choice is mixed. Scrafty is my booster who has Lum Berrry who spams Knock Off. Scrafty is a great sweeper becoming just like an avalanche once it gets a few boosts and it has the coverage, abilities and DD to sweep. Cobalion is a great mixed attacker with phenomenal natural physical bulk. Scarfed seems wonky, but it lets me reliably check Mega Absol (who can unfortunately go Knock Off/Play Rough on my entire team). Cobalion forces Mega Absol to click Fire Blast/Superpower to take care of Cobalion due to it's Justified ability. Scarf Cobalion can easily OHKO Mega Absol.

Cresselia: my dark DUCK of a poke. Cress, Cof and Umbreon formed a very strong Psychic/Ghost/Dark core. Wish Support coupled with Synchronize allow Umbreon to support my dark horses very easily without wasting team slots. I ran a CM set on Phys Def Cres and Psyshock actually lets it beat the other 2 prominent CM users: Slowbro and Suicune. She has great bulk, which lets her take a LO Sucker Punch from Honchkrow.

Umbreon/Starmie: As I said before, Umbreon was a great glue for my defensive core. Starmie was the glue for my offensive core. Psyshock allows it to hit Blissey hard (as you can see in the first replay below). Rapid Spinning attacker with instant recovery in Recover was both supportive and forced a lot of pressure. It actually helped clean up late-game once the walls were weakened and items were gone (and preferably T-Spikes were running rampant).

I'm going to try getting to 1600, but at least met the 1500 reqs in the meantime. I wish I had more replays, but I was really focused on the battles this time around and this team flowed from battle to battle so seemingly, it was just surprising.

Chesnaught - 5.7%
Starmie - 4.7%
Aggron - 6.4%
Togetic - 0.15% - muh supah dark horse
Chandelure - 8.9%
Kyurem-N - 1.5% - muh legendary supah dark horse

4.7+1.5+5.7+0.15+6.4+8.9 = 27.35%

| 22 | Chandelure | 8.90679%
| 40 | Toxicroak | 6.19487%

1.1 + 7 + 1.2 + 9.9 + 9 + 6.2 = 34.4

Switched my team completely, SW offense is hard to pull with Torn-T around ...

Yeah I'm gonna end up giving up. May try again. Extreme hax like someone literally just blocked my sweep because I missed a gunk shot, someone killed my reuniclus with heavy slam crit, etc.

All the pokemons I wanted to try are taken, Abomasnow, Cofagrigus, Froslass, Togetic, Fletchinder, Cobalion, Doublade, and Braviary.

Might try later with a different alt and a completely new team. Esca, Reuinclus, Ariados, Whimsicott, Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, and Eelektross just aren't cut for UU. Even rhyperior is meh

Professional2341 afaik you're not even allowed to make a new alt so......

also i guess you're not a " pro @ UU" after all kek

will also edit this post with my progress, shouldnt be too hard to get 1600 let alone 1500

Alright so I tried this in june but gave up early, gonna try again with a fresh team. :)

Alt: Off The Rails

Team: (DH's in bold)

Qwilfish (.40%)
Snorlax (4.6%)
Tangrowth (.98%)
Heracross (10.83%)
Nidoqueen (5.0%)
Aerodactyl (11.78%) Mew (9.91)

Total usage: 28.86% 33.59 31.72

Initial thoughts before laddering:
So I'm really intrigued by a snorlax/qwilfish/tangrowth core. Snorlax takes almost every physical hit in the meta near-perfectly, and has a simple weakness to fighting. Qwilfish is there to beat stuff like shao and cross, and tangrowth is able to support qwil by taking ground types. This defense allows cross to hit super hard with band, and while I'm without a scarf user and therefore a late-game cleaner, dactyl is a pretty damn good late-game cleaner. I have literally no idea why nidoqueen is <4% usage, considering how hard it hits and how much more bulk it has than nidoking. It really doesn't feel outclassed, at least me. Defog aerodactyl is pretty much all I could come up with since the team would be kinda stally if I used mew to defog or something. Anyway, I hope this works out, qwilfish and tangrowth seem like they'd fit in just like they did in gen 5.

Edit: So I was using the wrong usage stats, nidoqueen actually isn't a dh and a couple of my mons have a bit more usage. It's still under 35% and I'm still using two dark horses so I guess it doesn't matter, lol.

Whatever you can find that works for you, man. You got all month, just don't give up on yourself yet

1500 has been achieved n_n Not a bad W/L ratio either if I do say so myself.

Ok, gonna go through the team and dump some replays just for the sake of consistency.

Togetic - Bulky little son of a gun, achieved when he needed to, provided the team with a great switch in to pretty much every Special Attack imaginable, while also providing momentum with Baton Pass and Heal Bell support for the bulk boys in the team. I can, however, see why Togetic is sitting at 0.15% usage tho, since Fairy/Flying isn't exactly the best typing in a tier filled with a lot of Electric-,Rock-,Poison-type attacks being thrown around.

Kyurem-N - Man, for a legendary with a BST of 660, you were incredibly disappointing. The only thing he really did was catch a few Tornadus-T's off guard with a Scarf Ice Beam but outside of that, I was really disappointed but obviously there's a reason Kyurem is a Dark Horse and in actual game practice, it's very easy to see why.

Mega-Aggron - This guy is an absolute beast. One of the most solid defensive pivots in the entire tier especially in this metagame, I was really impressed with how he performed. Not a game went by without SR placed on my opponent's side of the field and uninvested, his damage output was still pretty insane.

Chesnaught - Another Pokemon that tends to fall under the radar but he was my designated Bulky Water answer and Spikes supporter and boy were those spikes helpful. Chesnaught, by virtue of it's great defensive typing, found plenty of times to set up Leech Seed, Spikes or hit hard with Wood Hammer and when he needed to be at a bit higher health, an easy Synthesis brought him right back up. He was also a fantastic answer to huge metagame threats like Mega Absol who can hardly scratch Chesnaught with any of it's moves.

Starmie - Starmie did the spinning, occasionally got a kill and just provided a nice fast threat on the team, pretty simple, Analytic was strong but at times I found it being a bit weak vs more Specially Defensive Pokemon like Umbreon, failing to 2HKO one switching in even after SR and Spikes damage but definitely an underrated spinner in my eyes.

Chandelure - The absolute carrier of the team. This Pokemon won at least 70% of my games off it's own back. Seriously, Sub CM Chandy in my eyes, is the biggest threat in the metagame right now. It sets up on so many defensive mons and forces so many switches that it is so easy to nab a CM boost or a Sub and proceed to bowl through 2-3 mons before being forced out and even then, through passive recovery it is back at full anyway. So yeah, if this showed anything, it showed that CM Chandy is such a beast and handily destroys standard.pink teams with absolute ease as you will see in some of my replays :]

Replays

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-138799108 - Got some hax but oh well, I was severely handicapped with my team so if lady-luck wanted to help me I wasn't gonna complain. Sub CM Chandy dodged everything and proceeded to sweep like he normally does.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-138801818 - Made a few nice plays, Sub CM Chandy opened up his team early game to allow it to sweep late game. Aggron tanked everything, Chesnaught did his general announce and Togetic did it's job vs ol' mate Scarf Flygon

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-139062518 - Game against Bad Ass. He was sporting a team with a few pink mons that Chandy liked the look of :] Got pretty lucky with paras vs Mew but not much I could do about that, all I really needed was him to go into Aromatisse and I could set up with Chandy, so yeah.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-139078401 - A game where Togetic actually did work, taking minimal damage from Chandelure's Fire Blast and Shadow Ball, even without resisting it and basically the dude had enough, the hazards built up and Umbregar fell through :[

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-139360813 - A longer game but a good one nonetheless, Togetic played a HUGE role in me not getting dumpstered by TR Reuniclus and in conjunction with Sub CM Chandy, was able to wear down the Hydreigon so that end game, Chandy could do what it does best.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-139365443 - My opponent choked away the win but I'm not complaining, Sub CM Chandy swept late game again and Togetic ate a Volt Switch from Mega Amph without Eviolite which was impressive af

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-139370169 - Yet another game where Chandy put the team on it's back, Togetic showed it can eat a crit Iron Tail from LO Hydreigon pretty good and Scarf Kyurem managed to dent a few things before going down. Also don't mind the chat lol

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-139375430 - And the game that brought me up to 1500 vs a very high rated player too. But luckily, he was using the pink core so I basically had the game won from team preview but yeah, you can see how it plays out.

And that's it. I probably won't go for 1600 cause the team isn't that good + I'm so sick of laddering it's not even funny but yeah, nice dark horses achieving and Chandelure achieving even more :]

You can use the same pokes as other people, you just have to ladder higher than the other user.
