OVERVIEW

Electric
========

With 115 / 125 offenses, Thundurus can perform the role of a mixed attacker for Electric-type teams. A vast movepool helps it also check various threats to Electric such as Mega Venusaur and Normal, and it provides an important Ground immunity. Its Defiant can punish common moves like Defog, and a very good Speed at base 111 allows it to outspeed common base 110 Speed Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Mega Gallade, and Latios. However, Thundurus has mediocre bulk, which means it will be easily knocked out by strong neutral moves and cannot be switched into attacks liberally. Its Flying typing makes it weak to Stealth Rock, which further limits the number of times it can switch in to wallbreak and reduces its pivoting options with U-turn, as well as to common Ice- and Rock-type moves, which Electric-types have difficulty switching into aside from Rotom-W and Alolan Golem, respectively. Thundurus also suffers from a case of four-moveslot syndrome, as it cannot check all the threats it could and will always be walled by some threats depending on the moveset it is running. Thundurus is outclassed by Zeraora as a check to Normal-type teams, but Thundurus can handle Mega Venusaur and Poison-type teams, which Zeraora cannot do.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Thunderbolt is Thundurus's primary STAB move and breaks through Flying-types such as Celesteela and Staraptor. Thunderbolt is also important for hitting physically bulky Pokemon such as Slowbro, which would shrug off Wild Charge, much harder. Knock Off is a good utility move that allows Thundurus to not only cripple Normal-type teams but also break Psychic-type teams better through severely damaging Pokemon such as Latios. Superpower allows Thundurus to beat threats to Electric-type teams such as Ferrothorn, Chansey, and Kyurem-B. Fly, when used with Flyinium Z, turns into a 175-Base Power Supersonic Skystrike that allows Thundurus to beat Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur, Celebi and Tapu Bulu on a predicted switch. It is also a powerful move in general, allowing Thundurus to break through neutral targets that can threaten Electric-type teams such as Nidoking. U-turn should only be used over Fly if a Z-Move is used on other Pokemon already. It allows Thundurus to act as a fast pivot and pressure Psychic-type teams in conjunction with Knock Off.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed investment along with a Naive nature makes Thundurus as strong and fast as possible, allowing it to outspeed base 110 Speed Pokemon such as Latios and Mega Gallade. As the set shown is a mixed set, a Naive nature is used so that Thundurus can better take priority attacks from Pokemon like Choice Band Dragonite. Flyinium Z as the item allows Thundurus to use a powerful move in Supersonic Skystrike to check Grass-types such as Breloom, Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu . If Fly is not used on the set, Thundurus can utilize Life Orb to increase the damage output of its moves. Defiant as the ability allows Thundurus to gain a free Attack boost if any of its stats is lowered from moves such as Defog. It is also useful against Intimidate users as Landorus-T.

Usage Tips
========

Thundurus should be preserved in matchups where it is needed to eliminate threats such as against Poison- and Normal-type teams. Its main targets when against those teams are Mega Venusaur, Alolan Muk, and Chansey. Thundurus should not be switched into Stealth Rock often, as it severely limits the number of times it can come into the battle and wallbreak. Due to its low bulk, Thundurus should avoid switching into attacks directly, as it can get severely weakened, making it easy to KO and unable to wallbreak effectively. It should switched in through safe switches after a teammate has fainted, smart double switches, or slow Volt Switch support from Rotom-W and Zapdos. Thundurus has a vast movepool, so it is important to not reveal its coverage until the right moment in the battle. For instance, Thundurus can use Thunderbolt initially against Poison-type teams, giving the impression that the set is a special set and then take out Pokemon that may switch into Thunderbolt such as Nidoking, Alolan Muk, and Mega Venusaur by using Supersonic Skystrike. It should avoid status moves that cause burn and poison at all costs. Against walls that check Thundurus such as Zapdos, it should use U-turn on a predicted switch to such walls, gaining momentum for the team. As Supersonic Skystrike is a one-time move, it should not be used liberally against Poison- and Grass-type teams, as without it, Thundurus will not be able to break Pokemon such as Alolan Muk and Mega Venusaur. Knock Off should be used early-game to cripple walls such as Porygon2 and Swampert as well as punish offensive switch-ins like Latios. Superpower should be used cautiously, as its stat drops make Thundurus susceptible to priority moves such as Quick Attack from Diggersby and let Pokemon like Alolan Muk set up on it.

Team Options
========

Rotom-W is a good teammate, as it can sponge special attacks aimed at Thundurus, cripple threats with Will-O-Wisp, and utilize a slow Volt Switch to bring in Thundurus freely. Rotom-W also deals with bulky Ground-types such as Landorus thanks to STAB Hydro Pump. Zapdos provides essential Defog support for Thundurus so that it can wallbreak without getting worn out fast from Stealth Rock. It also acts as physical wall to beat Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu and provides Thundurus with Volt Switch support. Tapu Koko is a good wallbreaker that appreciates Thundurus checking some of its switch-ins such as Mega Venusaur and Alolan Muk. In return, Tapu Koko can deal with threatening Dragon-types with Dazzling Gleam. Alolan Golem provides Thundurus with important Stealth Rock support, which lets Thundurus KO more effectively. It can also trap Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Excadrill and eliminate or weaken them with Fire Punch or Earthquake. Alolan Raichu is another good teammate that can act as a cleaner once Thundurus weakens or removes its checks and counters. Zeraora is a fantastic physical attacker that appreciates Thundurus taking down shared checks and weakening walls such as Mega Venusuar and Swampert for it. Zeraora can also beat the Eviolite core of Normal-type teams, relieving pressure from Thundurus. Magnezone can trap and eliminate Pokemon like Mega Scizor, which can tank moves from Thundurus and pose a threat to it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Electric
--------
Thundurus can also use Hidden Power Ice over Fly to form pseudo-BoltBeam coverage and take on Ground-types such as Landorus, Gliscor, and Garchomp. Thundurus can also utilize Grass Knot to beat bulky Ground-type Pokemon like Swampert and Hippowdon for teammates such as Zeraora. Thundurus can utilize a Choice Band set to wallbreak better; however, it is heavily prediction-reliant and makes Thundurus unable to check some of the major threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur. Regardless, if running a Choice Band set, Thundurus can utilize Wild Charge over Thunderbolt. A set that uses Prankster instead of Defiant with Thunder Wave or Taunt is also viable, as it allows Thundurus to cripple faster threats or stallbreak. Thundurus can also utilize a Bulk Up set to boost its Attack and Defense stats. However, Thundurus has mediocre bulk, so it will find it hard to set up Bulk Up safely.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Faster attackers**: Faster attackers such as Choice Scarf Victini, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf Nihilego can easily outspeed and KO Thundurus.

**Ground-types**: Thundurus is walled by bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Gastrodon, as it cannot fit moves to break past them and can get crippled with Toxic.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Dragonite and Garchomp are not threatened by Thundurus and can KO it easily with their STAB moves.

**Mega Venusaur**: While Mega Venusaur is checked by Fly, it can completely wall variants without Fly.

**Priority Users**: Strong priority users such as Choice Band Dragonite and Bisharp can check and do some serious damage to Thundurus with their priority moves. Thundurus is more susceptible to priority if it is running Life Orb due to the recoil.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed walls such as Clefable, Mega Sableye, and Mew take on Thundurus pretty easily. Such Pokemon can simply recover off the damage from Thundurus and proceed to cripple it or use status moves such as Stealth Rock.

**Stealth Rock**: Thundurus will lose 25% of its health to Stealth Rock due to its Flying typing, making it easier to check.

am qc check, implement what you like. also talk to qc, might be worth just to make it a phys attacker since flyz seems like the main set instead of life orb & mixed n_n

OVERVIEW

Electric
========

* Thundurus performs the role of mixed wallbreaker for Electric-type teams.
* Thundurus has a vast movepool consisting of moves such as Knock Off, U-turn, Superpower, Fly, etc which helps it check various threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur and Normal-type teams.
* Thundurus is blessed with interesting ability where Prankster allows it to stop set up sweepers such as Volcarona if Thundurus is running Thunder Wave and it also has the ability Defiant which can give it a free attack boost if any of its stats are lowered due to moves such as Defog.
- as i mentioned in checks&counters it is not on the main set so idk if it belongs in the other parts of the analysis, talk to qc

* It has a very good speed at base 111 that allows it to outspeed common 110 base speed Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Mega Gallade and Latios.
* Thundurus is also blessed with very good offensive stats with 115 / 125 offenses that allows it to effectively fulfill the role of a mixed wallbreaker.
* However Thundurus has poor bulk which means it will be easily knocked out by strong neutral moves and cannot be switched into attacks liberally.
* Its part Flying typing makes it weak to Stealth Rock which limits the number of times it can switch-in to wallbreak, It is also weak to common Ice-type moves and takes neutral damage from Electric-type attacks.
- add tht it is immune to ground attacks since ur talking abt typing here

* Thundurus also suffers from a case of four-moveslot syndrome where it cannot check all the threats together and it will be walled by some threats depending on the moveset it is running.

[SET]

Moves
========

* Thunderbolt is a STAB move that is allows it to break Flying-types such as Celesteela and Staraptor that take less damage from its other moves.
* Knock Off is a good utility move on the set that not only allows it to cripple Normal-type teams but it also allows Thundurus to break Psychic-type teams better.
* Superpower allows Thundurus to beat threats to Electric-type teams such as Ferrothorn, Chansey and Kyurem-B which can easily wall other moves on the set.
* Fly is a physical STAB move for Thundurus which when used with Flyinium Z turns into a 175-Base Power Supersonic Skystrike that allows it to beat Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu for Electric-type teams and dealing good amount of damage to neutral targets.
* U-turn can be used over Fly to gain momentum for the team as well as pressure Psychic-type teams in conjunction with Knock Off.
* Thundurus can also use Hidden Power Ice over Fly to form a pseudo Bolt-Beam coverage and to take on Ground-types such as Landorus, Gliscor and Garchomp.
- imo move this to other options

Set Details
========

* Maximum Atttack investments optimizes the damage output of Thundurus.
* Maximum Speed investment along with a Naive Nature makes Thundurus as fast as possible allowing it to outspeed base 110 Speed Pokemon such as x.
* As the set shown is a mixed set, Naive Nature is used so that Thundurus can take priority attacks better from the likes of Choice Band Dragonite.
* Flyinium Z as the item allows Thundurus to use SuperSonic Skystrike to check Grass-types and use a powerful move in general. If Fly is not used on the set then Thundurus can utilize Life Orb as an item to increase the damage output of its moves.
- doesn't rlly check all Grass-types just specific ones like Breloom, Celebi, Bulu and MVenu. it by no means can threaten ferro and cradily can p easily shrug off the damage with recover.

* Defiant as the ability allows Thundurus to gain a free attack boost by two stages if any of its stat is lowered from moves such as Defog.

Usage Tips
========

* Thundurus should be preserved in matchups where it is needed to eliminate threats for the team such as against Poison- and Normal-type teams.
- this is vague give examples of when to do this

* Thundurus should not be switched into Stealth Rock often as it severely limits the number of times it can come into the battle and it also affects its ability to wallbreak for the team.
* Due to its low bulk, Thundurus should avoid switching into attacks directly as it can get severely weakened, making it unable to wallbreak effectively.
- idk how low health makes it unable to wallbreak, maybe what you mean is its easily koed by other attacks

* Thundurus should switch in the battle through safe switches after a teammate has fainted or through smart double switches and Volt Switch support Rotom-Wash and Zapdos.
* Thundurus has a vast movepool so it is important to not reveal its coverage move until the right moment in the battle as revealing moves can result in finding it hard to eliminate key threats for the team.
* talk abt avoiding status burn/poison
* talk abt when to u-turn vs attack

Team Options
========

* Rotom-Wash is a good teammate as it can tank physical attacks aimed at Thundurus, cripple threats with Will-O-Wisp, provide necessary Defog support as well as Slow Volt Switch to bring in Thundurus freely. Rotom-Wash also deals with bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon thanks to STAB Hydro Pump.
* Zapdos provides essential Defog support for Thundurus so that it can wallbreak better without getting worn out fast and Zapdos also acts as a Specially defensive wall to tank special hits from the likes of Latios. It can also provide Thundurus with Volt Switch support.
- imo in this current meta spd rotom and phys def zapdos are better bz of pokemon like tapu bulu. rewrite this as like a walls section and also Rotom-Wash can Defog, the difference rlly between the two is what they wall and that Rotom-W can cripple pokemon w/ Will-O-Wisp.

* Tapu Koko is a good wallbreaker that appreciates Thundurus checking some of its checks such as Mega Venusaur and Alolan-Muk and in return Tapu Koko can deal with threatening Dragon-types for Thundurus with to Dazzling Gleam.

* Alolan-Golem provides Thundurus with important Stealth Rock support which lets Thundurus wallbreak more effectively, finding it easier to score Knock outs.
- talk about how it can use magnet pull +eq/fire punch to beat/weaken pokemon such as ferrothorn and excadrill

* Alolan-Raichu is another good teammate and can act as a cleaner once Thundurus weakens or removes checks and counters to it. Raichu-Alola can deal with Poison-types like Mega Venusaur, letting Thundurus run other coverage options.
- maybe mention how thundy can beat both muk and mvenu where as raichu cant rlly touch muk w/ nasty plot+z-move

* Zeraora is a fantastic physical attacker that appreciates Thundurus taking down shared checks and weakening walls such as x for it. Zeraora can also beat the Eviolite core of Normal-type teams relieving off pressure from Thundurus.

Other Options

Electric
--------
* Thundurus can utilize a Choice Band set to wallbreak better however it is heavy prediction reliant and it makes Thundurus unable to check some of the key threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur.
* A set with Thunder Wave or Taunt is also viable along with the ability Prankster as it allows Thundurus to cripple faster threats and to stallbreak walls, respectively.
* Bulk Up

Checks and Counters
===================

--------
**Faster attackers**: Faster attackers such as Choice Scarf Victini, Tapu Koko, Choice Scarf Nihilego can easily outspeed and KO Thundurus.
- wait for qc on this but it might be worth mentioning if u use prankster twave tht they dont like being para'ed. (not sure bz its only in oo not main set)

**Ground-types**: Thundurus is walled by bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Gastrodon as it cannot effectively break past such Ground-types and it can get crippled with Toxic.

**Zapdos**: Defensive variants of Zapdos take less damage from Thundurus and can easily Roost of the damage. Zapdos can also cripple it with Toxic or damage it with Discharge or Volt Switch.
- might want to reword the second part to something like Zapdos can cripple it with Toxic putting it on a timer or it can pivot out into a different Pokemon with Volt Switch. (i dont know if i like discharge since elec rlly likes volt switch momentum)

**Walls**

Overview:
- Cut Prankster part. Still talk about Defiant after Defog of course
- The offensive stats line seems redundant. Either fold it into the first line of the Overview or cut.
- Note how Stealth Rock also hurts its pivoting options with U-turn
- Must mention Zeraora being a superior counter to Normal but Thundurus can handle Mega Venusaur and Poison in general.

Moves:
- Slowbro must be mentioned for Thunderbolt, since Wild Charge (the only Electric-type physical attack) kinda bounces off.
- When talking about Psychic-types, mention hitting Latios with Knock Off in particular.
- Celebi can be handled by other moves. Fly is mostly for Mega Venusaur. That's okay because Mega Venusaur is such a huge threat to Electric. Tapu Bulu is a nice Pokemon you can mention catching on the switch, though.
- U-turn should probably only be used if the Z-Move is used on other Pokemon already.

Set Details:
- Add Intimidate protection for Defiant. Instead of -1, you end up at +1.

Usage Tips:
- Would like to see something about using Supersonic Skystrike
- Talk about spamming Knock Off for removing items
- Also talk about Superpower def drops here and playing around that.

Team Options:
- Rather than trapping Ferrothorn (Thundurus doesn't really care about it too much), talk about trapping Mega Scizor for Thundurus. Of course, Mega Scizor isn't a huge threat to Electric overall, but it is to Thundurus.
- Magnezone for trapping too

Checks and Counters:
- Fix your Electric tag
- Priority users can mess up Thundurus after it takes Life Orb recoil. Notably Dragonite doesn't really care about Thundurus's moves.
- Mixed walls in general take on Thundurus pretty easily: Clefable, Mega Sableye, and even Mew.
- Add Dragon-types too, since most of them don't care too much about Thundurus
- Stealth Rock of course
- Mega Venusaur, while beaten by Fly, can completely wall variants without it. Should still be noted here.

OVERVIEW

Electric
========

* Thundurus performs the role of mixed wallbreaker for Electric-type teams. It has 115 / 125 offenses which allow it to effectively fulfill such a role. I wouldn't call it a wallbreaker, maybe just say "mixed attacker" here.
* Thundurus has a vast movepool consisting of moves such as Knock Off, U-turn, Superpower, Fly, etc which helps it check various threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur and Normal-type teams. Don't need to just repeat its moveset.
* Thundurus is blessed with an interesting ability with Defiant that can give it a free attack boost if any of its stats are lowered due to moves such as Defog.
* It has a very good speed at base 111 that allows it to outspeed common 110 base speed Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Mega Gallade and Latios.
* However Thundurus has poor mediocre bulk which means it will be easily knocked out by strong neutral moves and cannot be switched into attacks liberally.
* Its part Flying typing makes it weak to Stealth Rock which limits the number of times it can switch-in to wallbreak. Stealth Rock also limiting its pivoting options with U-turn. Thundurus is weak to common Ice- and Rock-type moves, of which Electric has difficulty switching into aside from Rotom-W and Alolan Golem, respectively and takes neutral damage from Electric-type attacks. If you're going to state a weakness, you need to give context as to why it's relevant. Simply stating it's weak to Ice doesn't mean much.
* Thundurus is outclassed by Zeraora as a check against Normal-type teams but Thundurus can handle Mega Venusaur and Poison-type teams, which Zeraora cannot do in general. Make this the last bullet.
* Thundurus provides an important Ground-type immunity for Electric-type teams which allows it to switch-in on predicted Ground-type moves.
* Thundurus also suffers from a case of four-moveslot syndrome where it cannot check all the threats together and it will be walled by some threats depending on the moveset it is running.

Moves
========

* Thunderbolt is a STAB move that is allows it to break Flying-types such as Celesteela and Staraptor that otherwise can freely switch into Thundurustake less damage from its other moves. Thunderbolt is also important to hit physically bulky Pokemon such as Slowbro much harder as it can take on physical moves and can shrug off a Wild Charge.
* Knock Off is a good utility move on the set that not only allows it to cripple Normal-type teams but it also allows Thundurus to break Psychic-type teams better, allowing it to severely damage Pokemon such as Latios.

It is also a powerful nuke in general allowing Thundurus to break through neutral targets well.

* Defiant as the ability allows Thundurus to gain a free attack boost by two stages if any of its stat is lowered from moves such as Defog. It is also useful against Intimidate users, increasing its attack stat by a net of one stage.

Usage Tips
========

* Thundurus should be preserved in matchups where it is needed to eliminate threats for the team such as against Poison- and Normal-type teams. For instance, against Poison-type teams Thundurus is needed to eliminate threats such as Mega Venusaur and Muk-Alola for the team and against Normal-type teams, Thundurus is needed to eliminate Pokemon such as Chansey so that Electric-type teams have easier time against such types.
* Thundurus should not be switched into Stealth Rock often as it severely limits the number of times it can come into the battle and it also affects its ability to wallbreak for the team.
* Due to its low bulk, Thundurus should avoid switching into attacks directly as it can get severely weakened, making it unable to wallbreak effectively as it is easily KOed.
* Thundurus should switch in the battle through safe switches after a teammate has fainted or through smart double switches and slow Volt Switch support Rotom-Wash and Zapdos.
* Thundurus has a vast movepool so it is important to not reveal its coverage move until the right moment in the battle as revealing moves can result in finding it hard to eliminate key threats for the team.
* It should avoid status moves that cause burn and poison at all costs as burn halves its attack stat and poison puts it on a timer. Such status inflictions sharply impact Thundurus's ability to wallbreak.
* Against Walls such as Zapdos that check Thundurus, It should use U-Turn on a predicted switch into such walls, gaining momentum for the team and letting in a teammate safely that can eliminate or weaken such a check to Thundurus.
* As SuperSonic SkyStrike is a one-time move, it should not be used liberally against Poison- and Grass-type teams as without it Thundurus will not be able to break Pokemon such as Muk-Alola or Mega Venusaur.
* Knock Off should be used early game to cripple walls such as Porygon2 and Swampert, It allows to weaken walls and punishes offensive switch-ins like Latios.
* Superpower lowers attack and defense by one stage so it should be used cautiously as it makes Thundurus prone to priority moves such as Quick Attack from Diggersby and lets a foe like Muk-Alola set up curse on it.

Team Options
========

* Rotom-Wash is a good teammate as it can sponge special attacks aimed at Thundurus, cripple threats with Will-O-Wisp, provide necessary Defog support as well as Slow Volt Switch to bring in Thundurus freely. Rotom-Wash also deals with bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon thanks to STAB Hydro Pump. Maybe Landorus is a better example than Hippowdon? Hippowdon does wall Thundurus, but it can't do much in return besides clicking Whirlwind or Toxic if it's running it. Also, I don't think running Defog on Rotom-W is common enough to list here.
* Zapdos also provides essential Defog support for Thundurus so that it can wallbreak better without getting worn out fast and it also acts as a Physical wall to beat Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. It can provide Thundurus with Volt Switch support as well.
* Tapu Koko is a good wallbreaker that appreciates Thundurus checking some of its checks such as Mega Venusaur and Alolan-Muk and in return Tapu Koko can deal with threatening Dragon-types for Thundurus with Dazzling Gleam.
* Alolan-Golem provides Thundurus with important Stealth Rock support which lets Thundurus wallbreak more effectively, finding it easier to score Knock outs. It can also trap Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Excadrill due to its ability Magnet Pull and eliminate / weaken them with Fire Punch and Earthquake, respectively.
* Alolan-Raichu is another good teammate and can act as a cleaner once Thundurus weakenes or removes checks and counters to it. Thundurus can beat Pokemon such as Alolan-Muk as it checks Alolan-Raichu making it easier for Alolan-Raichu to clean late game.
* Zeraora is a fantastic physical attacker that appreciates Thundurus taking down shared checks and weakening walls such as Mega Venusuar and Swampert for it. Zeraora can also beat the Eviolite core of Normal-type teams relieving off pressure from Thundurus.
* Magnezone can trap and eliminate Pokemon such as Mega Scizor which can tank moves from Thundurus and pose a threat to it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

--------
* Thundurus can also use Hidden Power Ice over Fly to form a pseudo bolt-beam coverage and to take on Ground-types such as Landorus, Gliscor and Garchomp.
* Thundurus can utilize a Choice Band set to wallbreak better however it is heavy prediction reliant and it makes Thundurus unable to check some of the key threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur. Probably mention what you'd run over Thunderbolt on Choice Band.
* A set with Thunder Wave or Taunt is also viable along with the ability Prankster as it allows Thundurus to cripple faster threats and to stallbreak walls, respectively.
* Thundurus can also utilize a Bulk Up set to boost its Attack and Defense stats however Thundurus has mediocre bulk to take advantage of it and hence it will find it hard trying to set up Bulk Up as it fears getting KOed easily.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Faster attackers**: Faster attackers such as Choice Scarf Victini, Tapu Koko, Choice Scarf Nihilego can easily outspeed and KO Thundurus.

**Ground-types**: Thundurus is walled by bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Gastrodon as it cannot effectively break past such Ground-types and it can get crippled with Toxic.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Dragonite and Garchomp are not threatened by Thundurus and can KO it easily with their STAB Dragon-type moves.

**Zapdos**: Defensive variants of Zapdos take less damage from Thundurus and can easily Roost of the damaga. Zapdos can cripple it with Toxic putting it on a timer or it can pivot out to a different Pokemon with Volt Switch. I don't think Zapdos is unique enough to list as a specific counter to Thundurus. A lot of Pokemon beat it for the same reason that Zapdos does.

**Mega Venusaur**: While Mega Venusaur is checked by Fly, it can completely wall variants without Fly and beat Thundurus easily.

**Priority Users**: Strong Priority users such as Choice Band Dragonite and Bisharp can check and do some serious damage to Thundurus with their priority moves as Thundurus has sub par bulk. Thundurus is more prone to priority if it is running Life Orb as an item as it makes it easier to check with priority moves due to Life Orb recoil.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed Walls such as Clefable, Mega Sableye and Mew take on Thundurus pretty easily. Such Mixed Walls can simply recover off the damage and proceed to cripple it or use status move such as Stealth Rock on it.

**Stealth Rock**: Thundurus is weak to Stealth Rock due to its Flying-typing and Stealth Rock makes it easier to check Thundurus as it loses a
25% of its health upon switching on it, wearing it down.
QC 2/3 after above is done. Also some other things before GP: You need 2 commas in a list of three, i.e. "such as Landorus, Gliscor, and Garchomp" Make sure to capitalize Attack, Defense, etc. No hyphen in Alolan Pokemon, i.e. Alolan Raichu, Alolan Golem.

Overview:
Thundurus provides an important Ground-type immunity for Electric-type teams which allows it to switch-in on predicted Ground-type moves.
- move this into the bullet talking about its part flying typing

Moves:
Fly is a physical STAB move for Thundurus which when used with Flyinium Z turns into a 175-Base Power Supersonic Skystrike that allows it to beat Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur, Celebi and Tapu Bulu on a predicted switch-in. It is also a powerful nuke in general allowing Thundurus to break through neutral targets well.

- mention a neutral target that can threaten electric that this threatens such as Nidoking

Set Details:
It is also useful against Intimidate users such as x, increasing its Attack stat by a net of one stage.
- add an example of what intimidate user it can beat thanks to defiant

Usage Tips:
Thundurus should not be switched into Stealth Rock often as it severely limits the number of times it can come into the battle and it also affects its ability to wallbreak for the team.

- to this point, also add defogging away hazards before bringing in Thundurus

Thundurus has a vast movepool so it is important to not reveal its coverage move until the right moment in the battle as revealing moves can result in finding it hard to eliminate key threats for the team.
- mention a scenario that hiding its coverage could be useful if you want to keep this part

Other Options:
- Add Grass Knot to this section, takes on Pokemon such as Rest Swampert and Hippowdon for teammates like Zeraora, also just good coverage for Electric teams.

An overall good analysis, but I noticed how many of the sentences either required a comma or were run-on. That's takes up a majority of the check, however as usual don't use any changes that you don't agree with.
OVERVIEW

Electric

With access to 115 / 125 offenses, Thundurus can performs the role of a mixed attacker for Electric-type teams. It has 115 / 125 offenses which allow it to effectively fulfill such a role. (felt weird that those sentences were separate so I combined the two) It has a vast movepool which helps it check various threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur and Normal-type teams. Thundurus is blessed with an the interesting ability with Defiant that can give it a free Attack boost if any of its stats are lowered due to moves such as Defog. It has a very good Speed at base 111 that allows it to outspeed common 110 base Speed Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Mega Gallade, and Latios. However, (AC) Thundurus has mediocre bulk, (AC) which means it will be easily knocked out by strong neutral moves and cannot be switched into attacks liberally. Its part Flying typing makes it weak to Stealth Rock, (AC) which limits the number of times it can switch-in (remove hyphen) to wallbreak. Stealth Rock also and limits its pivoting options with U-turn. However, (AC) Thundurus provides an important Ground-type immunity for Electric-type teams, (AC) which allows it to switch-in (remove hyphen) on predicted Ground-type moves. Thundurus is weak to common Ice- and Rock-type moves, all of which Electric-types has have difficulty switching into aside from Rotom-W and Alolan Golem, respectively. Thundurus also suffers from a case of four-moveslot syndrome, (AC) where it cannot check all the threats together and it will always be walled by some threats depending on the moveset it is running. Thundurus is outclassed by Zeraora as a check against Normal-type teams, (AC) but Thundurus can handle Mega Venusaur and Poison-type teams, which Zeraora cannot do.

Thunderbolt is Thundurus's a primary STAB move that is allows it to break through Flying-types such as Celesteela and Staraptor that otherwise can freely switch into Thundurus. Thunderbolt is also important to hit physically bulky Pokemon such as Slowbro much harder as it can take on physical moves and can (this is basically repeating that it's physically bulky) would shrug off a Wild Charge. Knock Off is a good utility move on the set that not only allows it to cripple Normal-type teams, (AC) but it also allows Thundurus to break Psychic-type teams better, allowing it to through severely damage damaging Pokemon such as Latios. Superpower allows Thundurus to beat threats to Electric-type teams such as Ferrothorn, Chansey and Kyurem-B, (AC) all of which can easily wall other moves on the set. Fly is a physical STAB move for Thundurus which when used with Flyinium Z turns into a 175-Base Power Supersonic Skystrike that allows it to beat Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur, Celebi and Tapu Bulu on a predicted switch-in. U-turn should only be used over Fly if the Z-Move is used on other Pokemon already. U-turn allows Thundurus to act as a fast pivot and to pressure Psychic-type teams in conjunction with Knock Off. U-turn allows Thundurus to act as a fast pivot. (again I combined the setences since I don't think they need to stand alone)

Set Details
========

Maximum Atttack investments optimizes the damage output of Thundurus. Maximum Speed investment along with a Naive Nature nature makes Thundurus as fast as possible, (AC) allowing it to outspeed base 110 Speed Pokemon such as Latios and Mega Gallade. As the set shown is a mixed set, a Naive Nature nature is used so that Thundurus can take priority attacks better from Pokemon like Choice Band Dragonite. Flyinium Z as the item allows Thundurus to use a power move in SuperSonic Supersonic Skystrike to that can check Grass-types such as Breloom, Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu and let it use a powerful move in general. If Fly is not used on the set, (AC) then Thundurus can utilize Life Orb as an item to increase the damage output of its moves. Defiant as the ability allows Thundurus to gain a free two stage Attack boost by two stages if any of its stat is lowered from moves such as Defog. It is also useful against Intimidate users as Landorus-Therian, increasing its Attack stat by a net of only one stage.

Usage Tips
========

Thundurus should be preserved in matchups where it is needed to eliminate threats for the team such as against Poison- and Normal-type teams. For instance, against Poison-type teams, (AC) Thundurus is needed to eliminate threats such as Mega Venusaur and Alolan Muk for the team and against Normal-type teams, Thundurus is needed to eliminate Pokemon such as Chansey so that Electric-type teams have easier time against such types. Thundurus should not be switched into Stealth Rock often as it severely limits the number of times it can come into the battle and it also affects its ability to wallbreak for the team. Therefore, It it is advisable that entry hazards like Stealth Rock be defogged away removed before bringing in Thundurus. Due to its low bulk, Thundurus should avoid switching into attacks directly as it can get severely weakened, making it easy to KO and unable to wallbreak effectively as it is easily KOed. It should switched in the battle through safe switches after a teammate has fainted, (AC) or through smart double switches, (AC) and or slow Volt Switch support from Rotom-Wash and Zapdos. Thundurus has a vast movepool, (AC) so it is important to not reveal its coverage move until the right moment in the battle, (AC) as revealing moves can result in finding it hard to eliminate key threats for the team. For instance, (AC) Thundurus can use Thunderbolt initially against Poison-type teams, giving the impression that the set is a special set, (AC) and then taking take out Pokemon such as Nidoking, Alolan-Muk or Mega Venusaur that may switch into Thunderbolt by using SuperSonic SkyStrike Supersonic Skystrike. It should avoid status moves that cause burn and poison at all costs as burn halves its Attack stat and poison puts it on a timer. Against Walls walls such as Zapdos that check Thundurus, It it should use U-Turn on a predicted switch into such walls, gaining momentum for the team and letting in a teammate safely that can eliminate or weaken such a check to Thundurus. As SuperSonic SkyStrike Supersonic Skystrike is a one-time move, it should not be used liberally against Poison- and Grass-type teams as without it Thundurus will not be able to break Pokemon such as Alolan Muk or Mega Venusaur. Knock Off should be used early-game (add hyphen) to cripple walls such as Porygon2 and Swampert, as well as used It allows to weaken walls and punishes offensive switch-ins like Latios. Superpower lowers Attack and Defense by one stage, (AC) so it should be used cautiously as it makes Thundurus prone to priority moves such as Quick Attack from Diggersby and lets Pokemon like Alolan Muk set up curse on it. (like Alolan Muk implies more than one Pokemon so using a general term here is better than mentioning how Alolan Muk can set up)

Team Options
========

Rotom-Wash is a good teammate as it can sponge Special special attacks aimed at Thundurus, cripple threats with Will-O-Wisp, as well as utilize slow Volt Switch to bring in Thundurus freely. Rotom-Wash also deals with bulky Ground-types such as Landorus thanks to STAB Hydro Pump. Zapdos provides essential Defog support for Thundurus so that it can wallbreak better without getting worn out fast from Stealth Rock. (add period) and it It also acts as a Physical physical wall to beat Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. It can and provides Thundurus with Volt Switch support as well. Tapu Koko is a good wallbreaker that appreciates Thundurus checking some of its checks such as Mega Venusaur and Alolan Muk. (add period) and in In return, (AC) Tapu Koko can deal with threatening Dragon-types for Thundurus with Dazzling Gleam. Alolan Golem provides Thundurus with important Stealth Rock support, (AC) which lets Thundurus wallbreak more effectively, (RC) and finding it easier to score Knock outs KOs. It can also trap Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Excadrill due to its ability Magnet Pull and eliminate / or weaken them with Fire Punch and Earthquake, respectively. Alolan Raichu is another good teammate and that can act as a cleaner once Thundurus weakens or removes its checks and counters to it. Thundurus can beat Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, (AC) as it which checks Alolan Raichu, (AC) making it easier for Alolan Raichu to clean late game. Zeraora is a fantastic physical attacker that appreciates Thundurus taking down shared checks and weakening walls such as Mega Venusuar and Swampert for it. Zeraora can also beat the Eviolite core of Normal-type teams, (AC) relieving off pressure from Thundurus. Magnezone can trap and eliminate Pokemon such as Mega Scizor, (AC) which can tank moves from Thundurus and pose a threat to it.

Thundurus can also utilize Grass Knot to beat bulky Ground-type Pokemon like Swampert and Hippowdon for teammates such as Zeraora. Thundurus can utilize a Choice Band set to wallbreak better, (AC) however it is would rely on heavy predictions reliant and it would makes Thundurus unable to check some of the key threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur. Regardless, If if running a Choice Band set, Thundurus can utilize Wild Charge over Thunderbolt. A set that uses Prankster instead of Defiant with Thunder Wave or Taunt is also viable along with the ability Prankster as it allows Thundurus to cripple faster threats and to stallbreak walls, respectively. Thundurus can also utilize a Bulk Up set to boost its Attack and Defense stats. (add period) however However, Thundurus has mediocre bulk to take advantage of it and hence, (AC) so it will find it hard trying to set up Bulk Up as it fears getting KOed easily.

**Mega Venusaur**: While Mega Venusaur is checked by Fly, it can completely wall variants without Fly and beat Thundurus easily.

**Priority Users**: Strong Priority priority users such as Choice Band Dragonite and Bisharp can check and do some serious damage to Thundurus with their priority moves as Thundurus has sub par bulk. Thundurus is more prone to priority if it is running Life Orb as an item as it makes it easier to check with priority moves due to Life Orb recoil.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed Walls walls such as Clefable, Mega Sableye and Mew take on Thundurus pretty easily. Such Mixed Walls mixed walls can simply recover off the damage from Thundurus and proceed to cripple it or use status move such as Stealth Rock on it.

**Stealth Rock**: Thundurus is weak to will lose 25% of its health to Stealth Rock due to its Flying-typing, (AC) and Stealth Rock makes making it easier to check through Thundurus as it loses a 25% of its health upon switching on it, wearing it down each switch-in it does.

It should avoid status moves that cause burn and poison at all costs, as burn halves its Attack stat and poison puts it on a timer. Against walls such as Zapdos that check Thundurus such as Zapdos, it should use U-turn on a predicted switch into such walls, gaining momentum for the team and letting in a teammate safely that can eliminate or weaken such a check to Thundurus. As Supersonic Skystrike is a one-time move, it should not be used liberally against Poison- and Grass-type teams, as without it, Thundurus will not be able to break Pokemon such as Alolan Muk and Mega Venusaur. Knock Off should be used early-game to cripple walls such as Porygon2 and Swampert, (comma) as well as to weaken walls and punish offensive switch-ins like Latios. Superpower lowers Attack and Defense by one stage, so it should be used cautiously, as it its stat drops makes Thundurus susceptible to priority moves such as Quick Attack from Diggersby and lets Pokemon like Alolan Muk set up on it.

Team Options
========

Rotom-W is a good teammate, as it can sponge special attacks aimed at Thundurus, cripple threats with Will-O-Wisp, as well as and utilize a slow Volt Switch to bring in Thundurus freely. Rotom-W also deals with bulky Ground-types such as Landorus thanks to STAB Hydro Pump. Zapdos provides essential Defog support for Thundurus so that it can wallbreak better without getting worn out fast from Stealth Rock. It also acts as physical wall to beat Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu and provides Thundurus with Volt Switch support. Tapu Koko is a good wallbreaker that appreciates Thundurus checking some of its checks switch-ins such as Mega Venusaur and Alolan Muk. In return, Tapu Koko can deal with threatening Dragon-types for Thundurus with Dazzling Gleam. Alolan Golem provides Thundurus with important Stealth Rock support, which lets Thundurus wallbreak KO more effectively and find it easier to score KOs. It can also trap Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Excadrill due to its ability Magnet Pull and eliminate or weaken them with Fire Punch or Earthquake. Alolan Raichu is another good teammate that can act as a cleaner once Thundurus weakens or removes its checks and counters. Thundurus can beat Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, which checks Alolan Raichu, making it easier for Alolan Raichu to clean late-game. Zeraora is a fantastic physical attacker that appreciates Thundurus taking down shared checks and weakening walls such as Mega Venusuar and Swampert for it. Zeraora can also beat the Eviolite core of Normal-type teams, relieving pressure from Thundurus. Magnezone can trap and eliminate Pokemon such as like Mega Scizor, which can tank moves from Thundurus and pose a threat to it.

Other Options
=============

Electric
--------
Thundurus can also use Hidden Power Ice over Fly to form a pseudo-BoltBeam coverage and to take on Ground-types such as Landorus, Gliscor, and Garchomp. Thundurus can also utilize Grass Knot to beat bulky Ground-type Pokemon like Swampert and Hippowdon for teammates such as Zeraora. Thundurus can utilize a Choice Band set to wallbreak better; however, it is heavily prediction-(hyph)reliant and makes Thundurus unable to check some of the key major threats to Electric-type teams such as Mega Venusaur. Regardless, if running a Choice Band set, Thundurus can utilize Wild Charge over Thunderbolt. A set that uses Prankster instead of Defiant with Thunder Wave or Taunt is also viable, as it allows Thundurus to cripple faster threats and to or stallbreak walls, respectively. Thundurus can also utilize a Bulk Up set to boost its Attack and Defense stats. However, Thundurus has mediocre bulk to take advantage of it, so it will find it hard trying to set up Bulk Up safely.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Faster attackers**: Faster attackers such as Choice Scarf Victini, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf Nihilego can easily outspeed and KO Thundurus.

**Ground-types**: Thundurus is walled by bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Gastrodon, as it cannot effectively fit moves to break past them and can get crippled with Toxic.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Dragonite and Garchomp are not threatened by Thundurus and can KO it easily with their STAB moves.

**Mega Venusaur**: While Mega Venusaur is checked by Fly, it can completely wall variants without Fly and beat Thundurus easily.

Such Pokemon can simply recover off the damage from Thundurus and proceed to cripple it or use status moves such as Stealth Rock on it.

**Stealth Rock**: Thundurus will lose 25% of its health to Stealth Rock due to its Flying-(hyph)typing, making it easier to check through wearing it down each time it switches in.
