Monotype Thundurus-T (Flying) [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]

Flying
========

Thundurus-T is a powerful setup sweeper for Flying blessed by a great movepool and typing. Its very high Special Attack stat and a nearly unique Speed tier allow it to outspeed the likes of Volcarona, Zapdos, and Mega Charizard Y. Volt Absorb allows it to switch on predicted Electric-type attacks, a trait appreciated by most Flying-types. Thundurus-T's bulk is decent for an offensive Pokemon, giving it ample opportunities to set up with Nasty Plot or Agility against defensive Pokemon such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn. However, Thundurus-T is heavily reliant on its Z-Move to KO threats such as Zapdos and Porygon2, limiting its sweeping potential. Its lack of a reliable secondary STAB option means it heavily relies on boosted coverage moves to KO Electric-resistant threats. While it does have enough Speed to outspeed many threats, it falls short of the likes Garchomp, Blacephalon, and Terrakion, all of which can revenge kill Thundurus-T easily if it lacks an Agility boost.

Moves
========

Nasty Plot boosts Thundurus-T's Special Attack to scary levels, allowing it to break many cores. Agility allows Thundurus-T to fare much better against Pokemon on hyper offense teams, which could normally revenge kill Thundurus-T easily, such as Mega Lopunny, Terrakion, (AC) and Blacephalon. Thunderbolt is the main STAB option, allowing Thundurus-T to hit very hard after a boost. Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt to Gigavolt Havoc, which, at +2, can OHKO threats that Thunderbolt cannot. Hidden Power Ice creates pseudo-BoltBeam coverage with Thunderbolt, which provides Thundurus-T almost perfect coverage against Dragon-, Grass-, and Ground-types such as Garchomp, Breloom, and Gliscor. Alternatively, Focus Blast combined with Fightinium Z allows Thundurus-T to break through Rock-types like Tyranitar much more easily while also enabling it to break through Chansey and Gastrodon.

Set Details
========
Maximum Speed investment and a Timid nature allow Thundurus-T to take full advantage of its Speed tier, outspeeding threats such as Mega Charizard Y and Jirachi. Maximum Special Attack EVs are used to ensure that Thundurus-T hits as hard as possible. Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt into Gigavolt Havoc, providing Thundurus-T a powerful move to blow past threats that could otherwise take a +2 Thunderbolt and KO Thundurus-T back, such as specially defensive Heatran. Fightinium Z is used to unleash All-Out Pummeling, which is great for breaking through specially defensive Pokemon such Gastrodon and Chansey, both of which would otherwise wall Thundurus-T. Volt Absorb allows Thundurus-T to switch into predicted Electric-type attacks.

Usage Tips
========
Thundurus-T is best used as a late-game sweeper because of its decent bulk and high Speed and Special Attack. Thundurus-T should set up on passive Pokemon or ones it can force out like Toxapex and Mega Scizor. It is very important to decide when to use Gigavolt Havoc or All-Out Pummeling, as it is necessary to blow past threats that could take +2 Thunderbolt or Focus Blast, such as Nihilego and Chansey. However, against certain matchups, Gigavolt Havoc or All-Out Pummeling may not be as important, so you can use it early-game to wallbreak. If running All-Out Pummeling, use it to lure and KO threats, especially Chansey. One Nasty Plot boost is usually sufficient enough to reach the point that foes will be KOed by the next attack. Setting up multiple Nasty Plot boosts may be tempting, but it is usually not required, and it leaves Thundurus-T open to status and chip damage, leaving it prone to Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion and Blacephalon. Although Thundurus-T has decent bulk, it is best to keep Stealth Rock off the field, as it needs to be at full health to effectively set up Nasty Plot or Agility. Switch Thundurus-T in on a predicted Volt Switch from the likes of Zapdos and Rotom-W to ensure that the opponent doesn't maintain momentum. Keep in mind that Thundurus-T will rarely have the opportunity to set up both Nasty Plot and Agility. Agility should be set up against offensive types such as Fighting, while Nasty Plot should be set up against more defensive archetypes such as as Normal. Do not reveal Nasty Plot or Agility early-game until it is absolutely necessary because it may allow Thundurus-T to bluff a Choice Scarf, giving it more opportunities to set up. Avoid status, most notably Toxic, as being badly poisoned puts Thundurus-T on a timer, which makes it more difficult to successfully set up due to the increasing damage.

Team Options
========
All Flying-types appreciate Thundurus-T's ability to switch into predicted Electric-type attacks. Skarmory is a physical wall that can take most physical Rock- and Ice-type moves and remove entry hazards with Defog. On the other hand, Mantine is a special wall that can switch in on most special attackers and Ice-types such as Alolan Ninetales and Walrein, with the added benefit of Defog to remove hazards as well. Celesteela is another good Pokemon that can switch in on Rock-types and Ice-types, being one of the few reliable Nihilego and Mega Diancie switch-ins for Flying. Its ability to whittle down threats with Leech Seed is very useful for a setup sweeper like Thundurus-T, as it allows Thundurus-T to play more conservatively with its Z-Move. Mega Aerodactyl helps Thundurus-T against offensive types and can even set up Stealth Rock or Pursuit trap some of Thundurus-T's counters such as Alolan Marowak and Choice Scarf Victini after it has used V-create. Choice Scarf Landorus-T can serve as a revenge killer, especially for Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie, two big threats for Flying teams. Dragonite is a strong physical wallbreaker that can severely weaken specially defensive walls that can stop Thundurus-T from sweeping. Thundurus-T in return can smash through the likes of physical walls such as Skarmory and Celesteela. Mega Charizard Y is an incredible wallbreaker that can assist Thundurus-T, as it can punch holes while notably being able threaten Ice- and Rock-types with Fire Blast and Solar Beam. Zapdos is a defensive wall that can assist Thundurus-T by removing Stealth Rock with Defog or checking Ferrothorn with Heat Wave, which walls the Electrium Z set. Landorus is also a good partner, being a secondary wallbreaker that can assist in denting answers like Alolan Marowak and Tapu Bulu with Earth Power and Sludge Wave. It can even use Knock Off to remove items from the likes of Porygon2 and Chansey, both of which can give Thundurus-T trouble.

Other Options
=============

Flying
--------
All-out attacking Choice Scarf Thundurus-T is another option to serve as a revenge killer for threats like Mega Aerodactyl and Greninja, but Thundurus-T is outclassed as a Choice Scarf user and pivot by Landorus-T, since Thundurus-T is unable to revenge kill Tapu Koko. Grass Knot can be used to KO Swampert and Seismitoad, but outside of that, Focus Blast and Hidden Power Ice provide better coverage.

Checks and Counters
===================

Flying
--------
**Mega Venusaur**: Thanks to Thick Fat and its Electric resistance, Mega Venusaur hard walls Thundurus-T, even after a Nasty Plot.

**Dragon-types **: Dragon-types such as Latias, Latios, and Dragalge can take a boosted hit and retaliate with their powerful Dragon-type attacks.

**Fast Revenge Killers**: Due to Thundurus-T's average bulk, it is easily sniped by faster Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, Blacephalon, and Garchomp, all of which can revenge kill Thundurus-T with little prior damage.

**Coverage Resistances and Immunites**: Lightning Rod Alolan Marowak hard walls every Thundurus-T set, being immune to Thunderbolt and Focus Blast and resisting Hidden Power Ice. Certain Ground-types can wall Thundurus-T depending on which coverage move its forgoes. Excadrill walls it if it lacks Focus Blast, while Landorus-T, Landorus, and Gliscor wall it if it lacks Hidden Power Ice.

**Specially-Defensive Tanks**: If All-Out Pummeling isn't run, Thundurus-T is hopelessly shut down by Porygon2, Chansey, and Gastrodon, all of which can inflict it with status, set up entry hazards, or chip away with their attacks.

**Residual Damage**: Stealth Rock takes a quarter of Thundurus-T's health upon entering the field, and poison gradually wears it down, limiting the number of opportunities Thundurus-T has to successfully set up.

Nothing personal, I protect my people
[OVERVIEW]

* Thundurus-T is a powerful setup sweeper and revenge killer for Flying teams; which is complimented by its amazing move pool and solid typing.
* It has an incredible special attack stat and unique speed tier, having just enough speed to outpace Zapdos, Volcarona, and Charizard.
* Volt Absorb is a unique quirk of Thundurus-T, allowing it to switch in on predicted Electric-type attacks, a trait highly appreciated by Flying teams.
* Despite Volt Absorb, Thundurus-T has poor bulk, and has a hard time switching in to attacks. It only magnifies a weakness to Rock and Ice.
* Thundurus-T lacks a secondary STAB option, so its forced to use boosted attacks to break through Electric-resistent threats.
* Thundurus-T's speed tier falls shorts of threats like Mega Diancie, Blacephalon, and Garchomp, all of which can easily revenge kill it without a speed boost; having a speed boost means Thundurus-T has to give up important coverage move.

Moves
========
* Nasty Plot boosts Thundurus-T's special attack to scary levels, allowing it to wall break.
* Thunderbolt is the main STAB option, allowing Thundurus-T to hit very hard after a boost. Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt to Gigavolt Havoc, which at +2, can OHKO threats that Thunderbolt cannot.
* Hidden Power Ice creates BoltBeam, which provides Thundurus-T almost perfect coverage in the whole metagame.
* Focus Blast rounds out the coverage, OHKOing Excadrill, Ferrothorn and Kyurem-B after a boost, all of which who resist Thunderbolt and don't mind Grass Knot. Also useful for Porygon2, who walls Thundurus-T because it traces Volt Absorb. Focus Blast is useful coverage in the Rock-matchup in general.
* Grass Knot allows Thundurus-T to OHKO Gastrodon, Swampert, and Seismitoad while still hitting Rock-types to super effective damage.
* Agility creates a Double Dance, allowing Thundurus-T to fare much better against hyper offense teams, who could normally revenge kill Thundurus-T easily.

Reorder the Moves in the way that they appear on the new set. Grass Knot should be listed last in this section.

Set Details
========
* Max speed and a Timid nature allows Thundurus-T to take full advantage of its speed tier.
* A Modest nature is plausible when running Agility, giving more power at the cost of being of more vulnerable to max speed Volcarona and Charizard. A notable benchmark is being able to OHKO Assault Vest Alolan Muk with +2 Gigavolt Havoc, while Timid misses out on this knock out.
* Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt into Gigavolt Havoc providing Thundurus-T a nuke to blow past threats that could otherwise take a +2 Thunderbolt and KO Thundurus back.

Usage Tips
========
* Thundurus-T is best used as a late-game sweeper.
* Thundurus-T should set up on passive Pokemon or Pokemon it can force out like Scizor and Toxapex. However, be cautious of setting up against Pokemon that have a moderate offensive presence, such as Tapu Fini or Mega Pinsir, as these threats can often put Thundurus-T in the range of priority or choice scarf users.
* Don't set up when there is a threat that Gigavolt Havoc cannot KO, or there's revenge killer in the back.
* Its very important for deciding when to use Gigavolt Havoc, as its nesscary blow past threats that could take +2 Thunderbolt, such as Mega Garedvoir. However, against certain matches, Gigavolt Havoc may not be as important, so its viable using it early game.
* Try to keep Stealth Rock off the field, as this quickly wears Thundurus-T down.
* Volt Absorb allows Thundurus-T to switch in to predicted Electric type attacks. Be careful about switching into Electric types with secondary STAB options like Tapu Koko and Alolan Raichu, who have options to severely damage Thundurus-T with Dazzling Gleam and Psychic respectively.
*On sets utilizing Agility, keep in mind that you will rarely have the opportunity to set up both. Agility should be set up against hyperoffense, while Nasty Plot against more balanced archetypes.

Team Options
========
* Almost all Electric-types appreciate Thundurus-T's abillity to switch into predicted Electric-types. I think you mean "Almost all Flying-types..."
* Skarmory and Mantine cam both remove hazards, while also being able to switch in Ice-type attacks. Skarmory and Mantine should receive their own sections as they do different things.
* Wallbreakers like Landorus, Landorus-T and Mega Charizard Y can help soften walls for Thundurus-T to sweep. All of these Pokemon should receive their own bullets and Landorus-T is not a wallbreaker, it would be speed control.
* Choice Band Dragonite can help create dents in the team to the point that Thundurus-T can help clean up, or Thundurus-T can blow holes for Dragonite with Extreme Speed to clean up. This bullet should be about Dragonite, Choice Band is just a variant that works well with Thundurus-T.
* Celesteela is a another good Pokemon that can switch in on Rock-types and Ice-types, being one of the few reliable Nihilego and Mega Diancie switch ins for Flying. Celesteela does a lot more than just switch in to
* Mega Aerodactyl helps Thundurus-T in the Hyperoffense matchup, and can even set up Stealth Rock or remove some of Thundurus-T's counters such as Alolan Marowak Mega Aerodactyl has a multitude of purposes as it serves as a speed revenge killer and a check to Choice Scarf Victini at -1 with Pursuit, among other things.
* Zapdos

The Choice Scarf set will be OO.

Moves
========
* Thundurus-T's Speed and Special Attack stat are good enough to be a viable Choice Scarf user.
* Thunderbolt is the main STAB option, allowing Thundurus-T to hit decently hard thanks to its strong special attack stat.
* Hidden Power Ice creates BoltBeam, which provides Thundurus-T almost perfect coverage in the whole metagame.
* Volt Switch creates momentum by switching.
* Sludge Wave allows Thundurus-T to KO the threat called Tapu Koko. Since Tapu Koko is a huge threat to Flying teams, being able to KO it is crucial.
* Focus Blast allows Thundurus-T to KO Rock and Ice types, such as Tyranitar and Kyurem-B much easier, but Sludge Wave's ability to eliminate Koko is usually more appreciated, since Flying already has switch ins like Celesteela and Landorus-T to deal with those.

Set Details
========
* Max speed and a Timid nature allows Thundurus-T to take full advantage of its speed tier, allowing it to revenge kill much easier.
* A Choice Scarf is required for revenge killing.
* Volt Absorb is the only ability, providing Thundurus-T a needed immunity to Electric-type attacks.

Usage Tips
========
* Thundurus-T is best used as a revenge killer.
* Due to its bad bulk, Thundurus-T is best brought through slow U-turn or Volt Switch, or by double switching.
* Since most Thundurus-T are set-up sweepers, this set is good for bluffing, so try not to reveal it until they've brought their answer that Thundurus-T can check.

Team Options
========
* Almost all Flying-types appreciate Thundurus-T's abillity to switch into predicted Electric-types.
* Skarmory and Mantine cam both remove hazards, while also being able to switch in Ice-type attacks.
* Wall breakers, such as Dragonite and Mega Charizard Y, are much more important for this set, since this set cannot wall break. Wall Breakers in general appreciate the revenge killing Thundurus-T provides.
* Celesteela is a another good Pokemon that can switch in on Rock-types and Ice-types, being one of the few reliable Nihilego and Mega Diancie switch ins for Flying.
* Hazard Setters like Skarmory and Landorus-T can set up Stealth Rock which help wears down checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
* Thundurus-T has some niche options, like Psychic for Mega Venusaur, and Dark Pulse for Alolan Marowak, but these moves provide no relevent coverage otherwise, and are very hard to justify. Not viable, drop.
*Hidden Power Flying is an option for a secondary STAB, but it requires an IV of 30 in Speed, so it should only be considered on Agility variants. No real reason to run HP Flying, and you don't need to reduce IVs in Gen 7. Drop.
*A Choice Specs set is possible for immediate power, but the lack of wall breaking potential from Nasty Plot makes the latter a superior option. Not viable, drop.
*An Assault Vest set could be used as a switch in into Electric-type attacks, but Thundurus-T lacks reliable recovery outside of Volt Absorb, making set worn down very easily against match ups that don't use Electric-type moves. Not viable, drop.
* Fightinium Z with Focus Blast is an option to break through Chansey, Tyranitar and other threats that don't fear Boltbeam, such as Gastrodon. However, Gigavolt Havoc proves to be most useful against most other archetypes. It also worth noting that Thundurus-T still loses 1v1 against the defensive duo of Chansey and Porygon2. Grass Knot already 2HKOes Gastrodon so that's a poor example as to what Z-Focus Blast is for, especially since Thundurus-T needs to be at +2 to OHKO it anyways. One of the main reasons to use this set is to break through Normal's Eviolite core so the last part is incorrect. Move this to the main set.

Put Choice Scarf here.

Checks and Counters
===================

Rock Types: Nihilego is Thundurus-T's best answer, having enough special bulk to take Thundurus's attacks, including Gigavolt Havoc; while being neutral to Focus Blast and Grass Knot, as well as outspeeding it. The fact that Tyranitar's Sand Stream is present on almost every Rock team makes it even more effective answer. Other Rock-types like Mega Diancie and Tyranitar are also acceptable checks, but they should be wary about Gigavolt Havoc and Focus Blast respectively . Mention this in the Super Effective Attackers section.

Ice Types: Weavile and Mamoswine can snipe Thundurus-T with Ice Shard with minimal damage. Kyurem-B hard walls any set without Focus Blast, and even has Teravolt to ignore Volt Absorb. Alolan Ninetales outspeeds and can set up an Aurora Veil to soften blows from Thundurus-T, while Alolan Sandslash outspeeds and OHKOes Thundurus-T in hail if it lacks an Agility boost. Mention this in the Super Effective Attackers section.

1.) **Mega Venusaur**:

2.) **Bulky Dragon-types**: Mega Latias and Dragalge can take a boosted attack and retaliate back. Calm Mind Mega Latias can use it as set-up fodder. Other Dragon types, like Latios and Garchomp can outspeed and KO Thundurus-T with Draco Meteor and Outrage. This section should just consist of bulky Dragon-types like Mega Latias and Dragalge that can only be threatened by Thundurus at +2 and can pressure it heavily in return.

3.) **Faster Revenge Killers**: Due to Thundurus-T's bad bulk, it is easily sniped by faster Pokemon, such as Greninja, Terrakion, and Mega Lopunny; however, these threats can be KOED from Gigavolt Havoc if Agility is set up. Priority users like Bisharp, Mimikyu, and Dragonite can easily pick off Thundurus-T with their priority attack should it be weakened. As a general note, when using examples you need to clarify the sets you're talking about both for Thundurus-T and the examples themselves. This Check/Counter point is completely subject to whether or not Thundurus-T has successfully used Agility or not, unless you specify that you're talking about the Choice Scarf Thundurus-T set.

4.) **Super Effective Attackers**:

5.) **Coverage Resists and Immunities**: Barring an extremely rare overage move, Mega Venusaur, Lanturn, and Alolan Marowak hard wall Thundurus-T, and can either KO it, set up hazards, or inflict status. In this section you should be talking about things like Alolan Marowak and Ground-types that depend on Thundurus-T having the correct coverage.

6.) **Specially Defensive Walls**: Chansey and Lanturn if not Z-Focus Blast, for example.

7.) **Stealth Rock**:

Porygon2 and Chansey: Thundurus-T has no practical way of defeating this defensive duo, as even All-Out Pummeling would be only enough to beat one of the two. Chansey's enormous bulk means that it hard walls Thundurus-T, and can set up hazards, status it and wear it down with Seismic Toss. Porygon2 can switch in thanks to Trace and recover HP while firing Ice Beams back. Moved Chansey to Specially Defensive Walls as it is set dependent as to whether it can wall Thundurus-T or not.
Normally this would be rejected because there's a serious lack of information and a general misunderstanding of how sets function, but I was half-way through checking this before I realized it so we'll just work on this. When writing an analysis for a Pokemon you should try to have a very strong understanding of the set's purpose, a lot of your information with regards to checks and counters did not reflect the purpose of Thundurus-T as a setup sweeper and many of the Pokemon listed either were not actual checks/counters or only checked/countered one of your sets. If the latter is the case you would then need to explain this so there isn't any confusion as to which set loses to what. Your Smogon grammar looks fine for the most part, but your general grammar and sentence structure needs some work so please read over this analysis again and make any necessary corrections. That way the later QCs and eventual GPs don't need to put in nearly as much work. As far as your content goes, please check some of our other analyses by QC members such as Moosical's Bisharp Analysis so that you have a basic understanding of what we're looking for when making examples and explaining how moves/teammates function.

Please notify me when you implement everything in this current check so that I can continue checking it.

Understood. Will do.

Overview:
- Would probably expand a bit on Thundurus-T's movepool in how it provides nice coverage against a variety of threats.

Moves:
* Hidden Power Ice creates BoltBeam, which provides Thundurus-T almost perfect coverage in the whole metagame.
- List what notable things Hidden Power Ice helps against.
* Thunderbolt is the main STAB option, allowing Thundurus-T to hit very hard after a boost. Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt to Gigavolt Havoc, which at +2, can OHKO threats that Thunderbolt cannot.
- Examples?
- I'm not entirely sure about Grass Knot being listed in the moves section and put in OO but you can leave it there if you wish. Someone else can take a look at that.

Set Details:
- Mention about the max SpA evs and its ability as well.
- By notable benchmark, are you talking about the amount of Nasty Plots to set up? Because it would have to set up Nasty Plot twice to OHKO AV Alolan Muk with Z Thunderbolt.

Usage Tips:
- I kind of don't want to mention Mega Gardevoir for the fact that if it has taken little damage (from things such as Stealth Rock even once) +2 Thunderbolt just KOes it.
*On sets utilizing Agility, keep in mind that you will rarely have the opportunity to set up both. Agility should be set up against hyperoffense, while Nasty Plot against more balanced archetypes.
- Just a nitpick, there's no alternative move to Agility so just remove this line.
- Add how selective Thundurus-T should be for both Gigavolt Havoc and All-Out Pummeling. Thundurus-T cannot afford to have either waste it with these Z moves having a 1 time use. Also talk about being cautious when there's a type resistant on the opponent's team like Excadrill on a Steel team running Electrium Z or Tapu Koko or Zapdos on Electric teams running Fightium Z or something. You don't have to use these examples listed, just throwing them out there.
- In some situations, I would say how good it is to bluff a Choice Scarf set on Thundurus-T so unless it's necessary, Thundurus should not reveal Nasty Plot or Agility early.
- Make sure not to get poisoned by Toxic from other threats, it just ruins Thundurus-T in being successful to sweep.

Checks and Counters:
*Mega Venusaur: Thanks to Thick Fat and Grass resistance, Mega Venusaur hard walls every Thundurus-T set, and can do heavy Sludge Bomb or whittle away with leech seed.
- I think you mean Electric resistance?
*Dragon Types: Mega Latias and Dragalge can take a +2 HP Ice and retaliate back with STAB move . Calm Mind Mega Latias can use it as set-up fodder.
- Wouldn't say that Mega Latias uses Thundy as a fodder as it's not like it doesn't have anything to hit back Mega Latias with especially, with Nasty Plot already used. It's just that Mega Latias can take a HP Ice and set up Calm Mind and then Stored Power it.
*Super-Effective Attackers: Thundurus-T 's bad bulk and average speed tier makes it very prone to be revenge killed by the likes of Greninja, Nihilego, and Mega Diancie, all of which carry Ice Beam, Power Gem, and Diamond Storm.
- You can remove this. They're basically the same as revenge killers.

I implemented all the changes. Thanks for the catch with Alolan Muk. I must of used a different spread. I removed the Modest Nature because I see no notable benchmarks currently for modest. If anyone can provide me a notable benchmark I can add it in with approval from the QC team.
Misaka Mikoto
Since you mentioned bluffing a choice scarf set, is it worth adding a choice scarf set to the anaylsis?

I think keeping it in OO is fine with double dance being able to help it against Mega Diancie and Koko. Choice Scarf is better suited for teammates like Lando-T nowadays.

[OVERVIEW] Fix format issues by removing spaces

* Thundurus-T is a powerful setup sweeper and revenge killer for Flying teams; which is complimented by its amazing move pool and solid typing. Thundrus being a revenge killer shouldn't emphasized since Scarf is OO.
* It has an incredible special attack stat and unique speed tier, having just enough speed to outpace Zapdos, Volcarona, and Charizard Specify the Charizard form since it won't useful against zard-x. This is furthered by an incredible movepool, with options such as Psychic, Dark Pulse, Sludge Wave etc. Remove the other options it's only real useful coverage are hp ice and focus blast anyways
It's bulk isn't poor it's actually ok for an offensive Mon maybe rephrasing the idea
* Thundurus-T lacks a secondary STAB option, so its forced to use boosted attacks to break through Electric-resistent threats. I think you're trying to say it relies on its coverage
* Thundurus-T's speed tier falls shorts of threats like Mega Diancie, Blacephalon, and Garchomp, all of which can easily revenge kill it without a speed boost.

Moves
========
* Nasty Plot boosts Thundurus-T's special attack to scary levels, allowing it to wall break.
* Agility creates a Double Dance, allowing Thundurus-T to fare much better against hyper offense teams, who could normally revenge kill Thundurus-T easily. give examples and explain why since it outspeeds frail mons be specific
* Thunderbolt is the main STAB option, allowing Thundurus-T to hit very hard after a boost. Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt to Gigavolt Havoc, which at +2, can OHKO threats that Thunderbolt cannot. Such as?
* Hidden Power Ice creates BoltBeam, which provides Thundurus-T almost perfect coverage in the whole metagame. What does coverage help with be specific since it would be hard for reader to understand why hp ice is there
* Focus Blast combined with Fightium Z allows Thundurus-T to break It's not just for rock-types bulky steel-type thundy-t needs a boost to KO such as Ferrothorn Spedef tranthrough Rock-types like Tyranitar much easier, while also being able.
* Grass Knot allows Thundurus-T to OHKO Gastrodon, Swampert, and Seismitoad while still hitting Rock-types to super effective damage. It is worth noting that Grass Knot needs a Nasty Plot boost to OHKO Gastrodon, so Focus Blast is usually better. Wouldn't really mention last part unless you push this to OO

Set Details
========
* Max speed and a Timid nature allows Thundurus-T to take full advantage of its speed tier.
* Electrium Z upgrades Thunderbolt into Gigavolt Havoc providing Thundurus-T a nuke to blow past threats that could otherwise take a +2 Thunderbolt and KO Thundurus back.
* Fightium Z is used to unleash All-Out Pummeling, which is great for breaking through Specially Defensive Pokemon such Lanturn and Chansey, both of which who don't mind the BoltBeam combo. the bolt beam combo is fluff remove it be short

Usage Tips
========
* Thundurus-T is best used as a late-game sweeper.
Tapu fini isn't really that common in current metagame and wouldn't just clicking thunderbolt be better against mega pinsir or simply switching to zapdos
* Don't set up when there is a threat that Gigavolt Havoc or All-Out Pummeling cannot KO, or there's revenge killer in the back. This line is really obvious
* Its very important for deciding when to use Gigavolt Havoc or All-Out Pummeling, as its nesscary blow past threats that could take +2 Thunderbolt and Focus Blast, such as Mega Garedvoir and Chansey. However, against certain matches, Gigavolt Havoc or All-Out Pummeling may not be as important, so its viable using it early game.
* If running All-Out Pummeling, wait for your opponent to switch in their answer to Thundurus-T, such as Chansey. One Nasty Plot boost is usually sufficient enough break through to the point that they'll be KOED by the next Attack. Setting up multiple Nasty Plot boosts may be tempting, but it is usually not required and setting up multiple Nasty Plot boosts leaves Thundurus-T open to status and chip damage, leaving Thundurus-T prone priority and choice scarf users.
* Try to keep Stealth Rock off the field, as this quickly wears Thundurus-T down. Expalin why it is important it needs to be at high hp to set up
* Volt Absorb allows Thundurus-T to switch in to predicted Electric type attacks.
Doesn't the set always utilize agility that's just fluff.
* Early game, bluffing a choice scarf can provide more set opportunities against more offensive teams, which can be huge to create set up opportunities. Unless required, do not reveal Nasty Plot. I think this usage tip would have been fine if this set wasn't so obvious when you see Thundy-t on team preview.
*Avoid Toxic, as being badly poisoned puts Thundurus-T on a timer, and when combined with a Stealth Rock weakness and poor bulk wears Thundurus-T very easily. You have to connect it to set up and again I wouldn't say thundy-t has poor bulk.

Team Options
========
* Almost all Flying-types appreciate Thundurus-T's abillity to switch into predicted Electric-types.
* Skarmory is a physical wall that can take most physical Rock and Ice-moves and remove hazards with Defog.
* Mantine is a special wall that can switch in on most special attackers and Ice-types such as?; with the added benefit of Defog to remove hazards as well.
* Mega Charizard Y is an incredible wallbreaker to assist Thundurus-T, as it can punch holes for Thundurus-T while also being able threaten Rock and Ice Types with Fire Blast and Solar Beam. Switch the order of rock and ice types since it im;lies fire blast hits rock-types
* Landorus is also a good partner, being a secondary wall-breaker that can assist in denting hard answers like Alolan Marowak, Landorus-T, and Lanturn using Earth Power and Hidden Power Ice. It can even use Knock Off to remove items from the like of Porygon2 and Chansey, both of which can give Thundurus-T trouble. Lando-I doesn't really have room for knock off but it can set up SR also I would move Lando-I towards the bottom
* Defensive Landorus-T assists in being a good physically defensive pivot that can easily switch in on Rock-types, set up Stealth Rocks, and Defog hazards. Choice Scarf Landorus-T can serve as a revenge killer to aid Thundurus-T in the offense matchup. Choice Scarf Lando-T should be main Focus here it revenge kills Ice-types such as Koko and can run viably run Knock Off
* Dragonite is a strong physical wallbreaker that can severely weaken Specially Defensive walls that can stop Thundurus-T's sweep such as?. Thundurus-T in return can smash through the likes of physical walls such as Skarmory Banded Dnite can break Skarmory with Fire Punch but that's an Ok example although I want a stronger example. Dragonite can even help clean up a weakened team thanks to Extreme Speed.How does that help this isn't a dnite analysis
* Celesteela is a another good Pokemon that can switch in on Rock-types and Ice-types, being one of the few reliable Nihilego and Mega Diancie switch ins for Flying. The ability to whittle threats with Leech Seed is very useful for a set-up sweeper for like Thundurus-T, as it allows it to play more conservatively with its Z-Move. Move Cele towards the top it's very important
* Mega Aerodactyl helps Thundurus-T in the Hyperoffense matchup, and can even set up Stealth Rock or remove some of Thundurus-T's counters such as Alolan Marowak or Choice Scarf Victini at -1 with Pursuit. switch aero and zard-y aero is better than zard-y in current meta so it should be first
* Zapdos is a defensive wall that can assist Thundurus-T by removing Stealth Rock with Defog, or by checking Ferrothorn with Heat Wave, which is very important for the Electrium Z set, which is hopelessly walled by Ferrothorn.

Other Options
=============
*Choice Scarf is an option to serve as a revenge killer, but Thundurus-T's wallbreaking potential is much more valuable. Can you give examples of threats it would revenge kill

Checks and Counters
===================

Mega Venusaur: Thanks to Thick Fat and Electric resistance, Mega Venusaur hard walls every Thundurus-T set, and can do heavy Sludge Bomb or whittle away with leech seed.

Dragon Types: Mega Latias and Dragalge can take a +2 HP Ice and retaliate back with STAB move . Calm Mind Mega Latias can set up at least one Calm Mind before doing huge damage next turn with a Stored Power.

Fast Revenge Killers: Due to Thundurus-T's bad bulk, it is easily sniped by faster Pokemon, such as Mega Lopunny, Blacephalon, and Garchomp; all of which can revenge kill Thundurus-T with little prior damage.

Coverage Resists and Immunites: Alolan Marowak hard walls every Thundurus-T set, being immune to Thunderbolt and Focus Blast, and resisting HP Ice. Ground types can wall Thundurus-T depending on which coverage move its forgoes. Excadrill walls it if it lacks Focus Blast, while Landorus-T and Landorus-I walls it if it lacks Hidden Power Ice. wouldn't gliscor be a better example since it can set up rocks or toxic it

Specially-Defensive tanks: If All-Out-Pummeling isn't run, Thundurus-T is hopelessly shut down by Porygon2, Chansey, and Lanturn, all of which can status it, set up hazards or chip away with their attacks. Special mention goes to Lanturn and Porygon2, since both can have Volt Absorb thanks to Porygon2's trace.

Stealth Rock: Stealth Rock quarters Thundurus-T's HP every time it switches in, which puts in the zone of revenge killing and priority attacks, as well as limiting set-up opportunities.

Hi Leader Wallace - have you had a chance to implement Vid's check yet? Please remember to change the analysis into paragraphs once you've implemented his check as well, thanks!
Sorry, I’Ve implemented some of them, but I’ve been super busy between upcoming National Portfolio day, Projects, and teachers who don’t reply. I’ll try to finish this night.
