Access to Nasty Plot, a solid Speed tier, and unresisted coverage etch a niche for Thundurus-T on Sticky Web based teams, as the drop in Speed caused by the entry hazard limits opposing revenge killers like Ash-Greninja, Garchomp, and Kartana from putting a stop to its wrath. Nasty Plot allows Thundurus-T to break through bulkier foes such as Blissey and Toxapex. Focus Blast cracks open Ferrothorn, Kyurem, and Tyranitar. Hidden Power Ice compliments Thunderbolt well, targeting Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor, as well as Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth. Fightinium Z boosted Focus Blast steamrolls Blissey after a Nasty Plot. Volt Absorb confers immunity to Electric-type attacks, notably allowing Thundurus-T to block opposing Volt Switch attempts and turn defensive Zapdos into setup fodder.

Entry hazard support is incredibly important to effectively using Thundurus-T, as it benefits greatly to its checks being worn down and especially loves having their Speed dropped by Sticky Web. This makes Shuckle an invaluable teammate for its ability to set both Stealth Rock and Sticky Web. Thundurus-T also threatens common users of opposing entry hazard removal and thus keeps them up rather well. Teammates like Mega Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Gyarados that can take advantage of the pressure Thundurus-T puts on opposing Water-type Pokemon. Additionally, solid switch-ins to revenge killers such as Ash-Greninja, Rillaboom, and Choice Scarf Landorus-T are vital, which includes Kommo-o, Serperior, Mega Scizor, and Galarian Zapdos. Volt Absorb nullifies Electric-type attacks aimed at its teammates, a quality that aids Manaphy and Gyarados.

Heavy-Duty Boots gives Thundurus-T more longevity if the Z Crystal on a team is taken. This comes with the downside of having to hit multiple Focus Blasts in order to beat Blissey. Hidden Power Flying offers a second STAB move that hits Grass-types, particularly Mega Venusaur, but losing the ability to pressure Ground-types with Hidden Power Ice is generally not worth the tradeoff.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Mega Lopunny, and Garchomp all threaten Thundurus-T with their strong STAB attacks and coverage moves. It is important to note that with Sticky Web support, the list of viable revenge killers is reduced to Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Choice Scarf Greninja.

**Strong Priority**: Mega Mawile and Bisharp's Sucker Punch, Mega Medicham's Fake Out, and Aegislash's Shadow Sneak pick off Thundurus-T after some prior chip damage. Though Thundurus-T is type resistant, Rillaboom's Grassy Glide threatens to 2HKO it.

**Toxic**: Blissey, Toxapex, and Ferrothorn cannot handle Thundurus-T defensively, but they can catch it with a Toxic while it is setting up and wear t down residually.

Merge the first 2 sentences to highlight that thundy only fits on webs. Access to Nasty Plot, a solid Speed tier, and perfect coverage etch a niche for Thundurus-T on hyper offense teams. In particular, Thundurus-T is often found on Sticky Web based teams, as the drop in Speed caused by the entry hazard limits opposing revenge killers attempting to put a stop to its wrath list some revenge killers that fail to revenge it due to webs. Nasty Plot allows Thundurus-T to break through bulkier foes, such as Mega Latias, Blissey, Toxapex, and Ferrothorn. Focus Blast allows it to crack open Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Tyranitar. Hidden Power Ice compliments Thunderbolt well, targeting Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor, as well as Grass-types in Tangrowth and Rillaboom. Fightinium Z alongside Focus Blast allows Thundurus to steamroll Blissey after a Nasty Plot. Volt Absorb's immunity to Electric-type attacks notably allows Thundurus-T to block opposing Volt Switch attempts, and turn Defensive Zapdos into setup fodder. Maximum Speed investment and a Timid nature let it Thundurus-T outspeed Tapu Lele, Kyurem, and non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T.

Seeing as thundy only fits on webs, and the only viable webs lead is shuckle; you can remove the part about other suicide leads. Entry hazard support is incredibly important to effectively using Thundurus-T, as it loves its checks being worn down, and especially loves the Speed drop caused by Sticky Web. this paragraph needs to mention how it threatens every defogger for webs teams as well This makes Shuckle an incredible teammate. Excadrill, Landorus-T, and Mew are other leads that pair well with Thundurus-T. Teammates that can take advantage of the pressure Thundurus-T puts on opposing Water-type Pokemon, such as Mega Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Pinsir work well. Additionally, solid switchins to revenge killers such as Ash-Greninja and Rillaboom are vital, which includes Kommo-o, Serperior, and Mega Scizor. Thundurus-T can also use Volt Absorb to take Electric-type attacks aimed at its teammates, a quality that is appreciated by Manaphy and Gyarados.

**Toxic**: Toxic poison from Blissey, Toxapex, and Ferrothorn all wear down Thundurus-T rather quickly. None of these Pokemon can handle Thundurus-T defensively, but they can catch it with a Toxic while it is setting up.

Nasty Plot allows Thundurus-T to break through bulkier foes, such as Blissey, Toxapex, and Ferrothorn. Focus Blast allows it to crack open Ferrothorn, Heatran tran isnt that good of a mention here as it's already hit hard by tbolt, a better example is kyurem, and Tyranitar. Hidden Power Ice compliments Thunderbolt well, targeting Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor, as well as Grass-types in Tangrowth and Rillaboom. I think ammong and mega venu are better examples here as these 2 are hit just as hard by focus miss Fightinium Z alongside Focus Blast allows Thundurus-T to steamroll Blissey after a Nasty Plot. Sticky Web support is incredibly important to effectively using Thundurus-T, as it loves its checks being worn down, why are u telling me that sticky web wears down Opposing mons, remove this and especially loves the Speed drop. This makes Shuckle an invaluable teammate. add here that shuckle gives rocks to wear down opposing mons Thundurus-T also threatens every method of opposing hazard removal, Corviknight, Zapdos, Tapu Fini, and Excadrill, you don't have to individually mention every hazard clearer and thus keeps hazards up rather well. Teammates that can take advantage of the pressure Thundurus-T puts on opposing Water-type Pokemon, such as Mega Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Pinsir work well. mega pinsir and bisharp are not stopped by water types, a better example here would be something like mega gyra Additionally, solid switchins to revenge killers such as Ash-Greninja idt ash gren is a great example here as thundy is only good on webs and webs means gren is gonna be slowed down, a better example would be scarf Lando and Rillaboom are vital, which includes Kommo-o, Serperior, and Mega Scizor. edit this bit accordingly to include switchins to Lando Thundurus-T can also use Volt Absorb to take Electric-type attacks aimed at its teammates, a quality that is appreciated by Manaphy and Gyarados.

idt ash gren is a great example here as thundy is only good on webs and webs means gren is gonna be slowed down, a better example would be scarf Lando
this is wrong since mvenu takes nothing from ice so i just didnt include mvenu

also i disagree with the removal of gren bc 1) webs naturally has a poor gren mu so its not uncommon for gren to hit the field / evolve while webs are off and 2) 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Water Shuriken (20 BP) (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus-Therian: 201-243 (67.2 - 81.2%) -- approx. 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock this is not good either esp bc u generally take some minor amount of chip setting up

otherwise this is off to gp
