[OVERVIEW]

Thundurus-T carves its niche in Ubers as a dangerous Nasty Plot sweeper on Sticky Web teams. Its Flying typing grants it immunity to most entry hazards, which lets it excel against opposing Sticky Web teams, easily sweeping past many threats such as Kyogre, Eternatus, and Groudon. However, its frailty means most Pokemon 2HKO it, making setting up a difficult task. Even priority moves, such as Weavile's Ice Shard, Marshadow's Shadow Sneak, and Yveltal's Sucker Punch, easily 2HKO it.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Thunderbolt
move 3: Psychic
move 4: Focus Blast / Grass Knot
item: Life Orb / Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Volt Absorb
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Nasty Plot turns Thundurus-T into a monstrous powerhouse, capable of breaking through walls such as Necrozma-DM, Eternatus, and Blissey thanks to its nice coverage. Psychic hits Eternatus for severe damage. Focus Blast can be used to break Blissey more easily while OHKOing Ferrothorn, Zarude, and Tyranitar. Grass Knot can be used instead to beat Groudon and Zygarde before Power Construct activates. Since Life Orb worsens Thundurus-T's serious frailty, Heavy-Duty Boots is an option for more longevity. However, Thundurus-T loses a lot of power; most notably, it fails to OHKO specially defensive Eternatus.

A Sticky Web setter such as Slurpuff and Shuckle is needed for Thundurus-T to properly function. Thundurus-T's ability to break through special walls like Necrozma-DM and Blissey helps teammates such as Geomancy Xerneas and Meteor Beam Eternatus. Zekrom is another good partner, overwhelming Necrozma-DM and Eternatus, while Thundurus-T can beat bulky Ground-types such as Zygarde-C and Groudon. Choice Scarf Calyrex-S can OHKO Thundurus-T and outspeed it even after Sticky, so offensive Yveltal makes a great teammate. Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM is great to switch in on Galarian Darmanitan's Icicle Crash, and it also appreciates Thundurus-T's ability to lure in Groudon and Zygarde-C.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Taunt prevents Defoggers from removing entry hazards and hinders severely passive walls such as Blissey and Giratina.

Checks and Counters
====

**Faster Heavy-Duty Boots Threats**: Heavy-Duty Boots users such as Eternatus and Weavile can easily force Thundurus-T out by ignoring Sticky Web.

**Choice Scarf Calyrex-S**: Even with its Speed lowered by Sticky Web, Choice Scarf Calyrex-S remains faster than Thundurus-T, and it can OHKO it with Astral Barrage.

**Priority Moves**: Due to how frail Thundurus-T is, even priority moves easily 2HKO it, such as Shadow Sneak from Marshadow or Sucker Punch from Yveltal.

**Lunala**: Lunala has no trouble switching in on Thundurus-T. With Shadow Shield, It can take any move from Thundurus-T, even after a Nasty Plot, and either severely threaten it with Ice Beam or Moongeist Beam or use Defog.

I've taken way too much time, I'm sorry for this one, but finally it's QC ready ! (I'll try to do Chansey during the week) :psynervous:

I've tried fixing up some of the grammar too, so that the GP's lives become easier.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Thundurus-T carves its niche in Ubers as a special attacker in on Sticky Web teams.
  • Its access to Nasty Plot doubles its already high Special Attack, making it a dangerous sweeper.
  • It also has access to a good utility move in Taunt, preventing passive walls such as Blissey to comes in and acts freely, and Defog users to remove Sticky Web. (not necessary, move to OO, NP + 3 Attacks is what the QC team would rather see)
  • Despite it has having no Flying-type STAB, its typing grants it a natural immunity to any hazards bar Stealth Rock. (mention that its effectiveness is being able to beat multiple foes found in the Sticky Webs mirror + it's immune to webs itself)
  • Its low defensive stats are its principle drawback: Thundurus cannot handle any super effective move, and even attacks from defensive walls such as Ho-Oh and Eternatus will easily 2HKO it. Its frailty means it is 2HKOed by most foes, making setting up a difficult task. Moreover, Volt Absorb is highly restricted, as Zekrom's Teravolt ignores it, and Kyogre OHKO Thundurus-T with ease with any move it uses bar Thunder. (no need to mention)

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Nasty Plot gives to turns Thundurus-T into a monstrous powerhouse, capable to of breaking through many walls such as Necrozma-DM, Eternatus,(AC) and Blissey.
  • Thunderbolt is its main STAB, tearing into pieces many common threats of the tier, such as Yveltal, Ho-Oh, and Kyogre.
  • Taunt prevents Defoggers to act, and hinders severely passive walls such as Blissey.
  • Grass Knot can be used instead to lure in beat Groudon and Zygarde before Power Construct.
  • Psychic as the last slot hits for severe damage Eternatus. Focus Blast can be used to break Blissey more easily, while it OHKO safely Ferrothorn, Zarude, (AC) and Tyranitar. (change the order of moves in this section to match the above)
  • Being really frail and combined with Life Orb recoil, Heavy-Duty Boots is an option to give Thundurus-T more longevity. However it loses a lot of power, most notably it fails at to OHKO specially defensive Eternatus.
  • It is also very sensitive to priority move, such as Weavile's Ice Shard, or Shadow Sneak from either Marshadow, or Giratina-O or Yveltal's Sucker Punch. So, it should not be set up before wearing down those threats.
  • Finally, Thundurus-T's speed tier isn't without drawbacks : though it outspeeds most threats if Sticky Web is active, some threats like Eternatus or Weavile will remain faster due to their Heavy-Duty Boots.

  • Thundurus-T will fit exclusively on sticky webs team, so partners like Shuckle and Slurpuff capable to set up Sticky Webs are mandatory. Sticky Web setters such as Slurpuff and Shuckle are needed for Thundurus-T to properly function.
  • Thundurus-T's ability to break special walls like Necrozma-DM and Blissey can be exploited by is appreciated by teammates such Geomancy Xerneas and Meteor Beam Eternatus, the two of appreciating the removal of these walls to sweep entire teams later.
  • To exploit its ability to threaten most Ground-types of the tier, Thundurus-T can be paired with Zekrom, which like having Groudon and Landorus-T KOed in order to sweep safely. Zekrom is another good partner, overwhelming Necrozma-DM and Eternatus while Thundurus-T can beat bulky Ground-types such as Zygarde-C and Groudon.
  • Being heavily threatened by Choice Scarf Calyrex-S can OHKO Thundurus-T, so , Thundurus-T can finally be paired with an offensive variant of Yveltal makes a great teammate., which can keep the pressure on the opposing team while being a soft check to Calyrex-S's assaults.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====
  • Dark Pulse can be used to break more consistently Giratina and Lunala. However, Thundurus-T suffers from the 4 moveslot syndrom, and losing one of its main moves is really hard to justify. (add the taunt description here. I would never run Dark Pulse, even as an OO.)
Checks and Counters

**Heavy-Duty Boots users**: Heavy-Duty Boots users such as Eternatus and Weavile can easily forces Thundurus-T out. (rephrase to "Faster Threats" and mention HDB and whatnot there)

**Choice Scarf Calyrex-S**: Even with its Speed lowered by Sticky Web, Calyrex-S remains faster than Thundurus-T, and can OHKO it with Astral Barrage.

**Strong attackers**: Thundurus-T is very fragile, and will drop quickly if it takes any hit, even from defensive threats; this include Eternatus's Dynamax Cannon, Yveltal's Knock Off and Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire, which will 2HKO Thundurus-T with ease.

**Priority Moves**: mention how everything 2HKOs so that Sneak Marshadow and Sucker Yveltal can pick it off rather easily.

Despite having no Flying-type STAB, its typing grants it a natural immunity to any hazards bar Stealth Rock. In particular, Thundurus-T finds its best utility in ditto Sticky Web matchups, in which it can easily sweeps many threats such as Kyogre, Eternatus and Groudon.
This is very awkward, as many people might think you’re referring to the Pokemon Ditto rather than opposing Sticky Webs MUs. I would say something along the lines of, “Thundurus-T excels against opposing Sticky Webs matchups, as it’s Flying-type grants it an immunity to the hazard.”
It is also very sensitive to priority move, such as Weavile's Ice Shard, Shadow Sneak from Marshadow and Yveltal's Sucker Punch
Put this at the end of the OP, it fits more naturally there.
Psychic as the last slot hits for severe damage Eternatus.
Change to “Psychic as the last slot hits Eternatus for severe damage”.

Focus Blast can be used to break Blissey more easily, while it OHKO safely Ferrothorn, Zarude, and Tyranitar. Grass Knot can be used instead to beat Groudon and Zygarde before Power Construct.
Grass Knot is imo usually better based on this description, so I would slash it first.

Mention Dragon Dance NDM as a good partner; it can switch into Eternatus and Galarian Darmanitan that Thundurus attracts. It also likes Thundurus being able to lure and KO Zygarde-C and Groudon.

Otherwise looks good enough
