Tier Shift Metagame (THIS IS BW)

People are trying to hard to make this some sort of super equalized meta where RU/NU hybrid teams can beat an OU team.
It's not really the case.
This tier in all actuality..is really just BW2 OU with some new threats/walls and some old ones being left behind...like Venusaur.
Shuckle is good in this tier if you roll Evasion with Acupressure. But in reality Acupressure should be banned under the Evasion clause.

Many pokemon aren't OU because their stats fall just short of the OU standard. This is especially obvious with speed on offensive pokemon.
Also don't brag too much about your early wins; the metagame is still fresh and people are just experimenting right now.
Or, like me, just using a team they have.
I use my standard NU team in Tier Shift because I can't use it anymore in NU since Scoli dropped and even many OU threats aren't that troublesome.
PU getting a boost would be nice. These PU mons are PU with a reason and only a few of them already have niches in Tier Shift. Offcourse, Victreebell is going to be scary, and Pikachu as well. But broken? Don't think so. Some things still care the crap out of them, and both can be walled though you need to bring something specific. Revengekilling them is actually quite easy as they are both still relatively frail.

I just started constructing a new team, and when I was looking for a synergy buddy for Celebi, instead of the usual Heatran I stopped and considered Probopass. Has anyone tried the mustache compass out yet? Any success?
This metagame is a lot of fun! I think I viability ranking thread should be constructed, even if we have no idea what is really good yet, but just to give us something to use. One blimp lots of people tend to forget about is drifblim. Golurk is pretty hyped with his bulk and attack, but drifblim is actually more bulky. Combined with 95/105/95 offenses, calm mind, unburden, wetaher ball, shadow ball, will-o-wisp, aftermath, and baton pass drifblim better amount to something in OU. Tauros is literally a god. Rock climb/earthquake/fire blast/ice beam destroys OU, and it can take a hit with 90/110/85 defenses. Plus it can run lonely because of base 125 speed!
One RU mon that always needs more usage is rhydon. Being one of the best mons for the first two gens and now being great in balanced hackmons, it has its moments. 115/55 special bulk is decent with eviolite, and good in sand. In terms of sets support is very solid, but double dance works, even with eviolite. Denying rhydon a place on your team is something you will need to do with good reasons. With a specially defensive spread in sand specs politoed only KOes 6.25% of the time!

I am sure rhyperior with 120/145/135/60/60/45 spread and solid rock is amazing too, but hipster!

Yes and this also bans Bright Powder, Sea Incense, Sand Veil and Snow Cloak. Not to mention Moody....although that's its own clause...it was because of Evasion.

Farfetch'd makes a great suicide brave bird lead or swords dance booster now! I tested it out and did over half to most of the pokemon i encountered xP

Swanna is a real terror in rain. It hits deceptively hard, and is nearly impossible to stall out due to hydration. Surf destroys most everything that doesn't resist it, and Hurricane destroys what does. Rest is instant 100% recovery, which is really nice (although Swanna has trouble taking non-resisted hits). In the last slot, I prefer Toxic to beat Chansey and other special walls one-on-one, but Ice Beam works if you're scared of dragons.

Trust me, trying to set up Floatzel is a pain in the butt already, but when you do, Floatzel is an absolute monster. I had an Uber set featuring Thundurus-I, Floatzel and Poliwrath in Wonder Launcher (in the games). I used no items, no nothing, and I sweeped so many teams that I made them QUIT. Legitimately.
Bottom line, it's a monster without Tier Shift, it's even better WITH Tier Shift.

I'll second that.
I've been using Bulk Up/Brave Bird/Substitute/Roost bulky Braviary lately, and my goodness is it a killer. 115/90/90 defenses aren't horrendous, and base 95 speed is... good enough. What really shines is the base 138 attack, which can pick apart many things. Has a lot of trouble with Aggron and friends, though.
Another threat that I've seen around and recently made my own version of for my team: CB Ninjask. The typing is still bad, the defenses are still appalling, but 185 speed outruns just about everything, scarf or no. It also means that you don't have to invest practically any EVs into speed, which lets you make Ninjask significantly bulkier while still hitting very hard with base 115 attack and ridiculous speed. X-Scissor/Aerial Ace/Night Slash hits everything but steel types neutrally or better. For steel types, the only option for the last slot is Dig, so... bring a Magnezone or something. Ninjask also works well with a Focus Sash and Swords Dance, since he's still very frail.
The 4x ground/fighting weakness is more annoying than expected... they are probably the most common attacking types after all. Probopass is cool and all, but it's very hard to find opportunities to switch him in. Don't get me wrong, his defenses are great. It took an earthquake from a Gigalith (150 atk) without having to rely on sturdy, but it certainly wasn't doing it again without a wish. Perhaps a physical defense based ev spread+sandstorm SpD boost would be better. Also, Power Gem doesn't have enough power to be worth using. You'd be better off with Toxic or Pain split. I have to say though, access to volt-switch is very helpful in keeping up momentum, as Probopass can take the hit and then switch to someone faster and frailer.

Stall it out and beat it with Regigigas, which has 125/125/125 bulk and 175 attack once slow start is done.
I've used Meganium and Miltank to great effect. Meganium is 95/115/115 with reliable recovery in Synthesis and great support options in Aromatherapy, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Dual Screens, etc. Couple that with both attacking stats also in the 90s and you have a wonderful tank, capable of sponging damage and hitting back relatively hard, especially with a Swords Dance boost.
Miltank is amazingly bulky on the physical side, out-bulking Hippowdon with 110 HP and 120 Def. SpDef is ok too coupled with Thick Fat, and this thing is FAST with 115 Speed. You can even use a surprise Sap Sipper set offensively if you can score a boost. Extremely versatile.
So here's an interesting little guy. I've been trying out Magcargo as a defensive mon.

A mixed defensive set may not be the best, as I've had it OHKO'd by water types WITH stockpile boosts. Still, with it's ability and Lava Plume it scores a burn fairly often on its foes making physical attackers cry.
