[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

Togekiss is an effective stallbreaker on Fairy teams that helps break down defensive types like Poison, Grass, and Steel. Its ability Serene Grace synergizes with Air Slash, allowing it to threaten defensive Pokemon such as Toxapex, Slowking, Amoonguss, Galarian Weezing, and Cradily. Furthermore, its Flying typing gives the team a secondary check to Grass- and Ground-types alongside Tapu Bulu, as it can check Rillaboom, Landorus-T, and Garchomp. After Nasty Plot, Togekiss becomes a threatening wallbreaker to slower and more defensive teams. However, Togekiss struggles to find a place on Fairy teams due to its mediocre physical bulk and middling Speed. Togekiss is often restricted from switching in freely, as it is weak to Stealth Rock and Fairy teams tend to lack Defoggers due to their preference to stack entry hazards with Klefki and Clefable. However, this can be mitigated by using Heavy-Duty Boots.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Fire Blast / Flamethrower
move 3: Substitute / Aura Sphere
move 4: Nasty Plot
item: Leftovers / Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid / Modest
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Air Slash punishes slower Pokemon attempting to take on Togekiss such as Toxapex, Slowking, and Blissey. Fire Blast OHKOes Steel-types like Ferrothorn, while Flamethrower can be used for better accuracy at the cost of damage. Substitute allows Togekiss to set up on passive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Toxapex and Amoonguss without fear of getting statused. Aura Sphere can be used over Substitute to threaten Heatran and Tyranitar, which otherwise wall this set. Nasty Plot increases Togekiss's wallbreaking power and allows it to OHKO Celesteela, Melmetal, and Tyranitar. If running Fire Blast, a Modest nature may be considered to OHKO Aegislash and Magnezone. Leftovers synergizes with Air Slash's ability to make foes flinch and improves Togekiss's longevity. Alternatively, Heavy-Duty Boots can be used on sets with three attacks to improve Togekiss's ability to switch in.

Klefki is an excellent partner to Togekiss, as it can set up dual screens to make Togekiss extremely hard to take down and set Spikes to pressure the opposing team. Dual screens also enable Belly Drum Azumarill, another setup sweeper that can be used in tandem with Togekiss to decimate Steel and Poison matchups. Azumarill also helps Togekiss by removing Rock-type Pokemon like Nihilego and Tyranitar with its strong Water-type attacks and specially defensive Pokemon such as Galarian Slowking with Knock Off. Togekiss greatly appreciates fast pivots that can bring it in on a predicted switch. U-turn or Volt Switch Tapu Koko is especially good at this, as it invites walls such as Ferrothorn for Togekiss to take advantage of and provides a fast Taunt to prevent Stealth Rock from being set. Clefable provides Stealth Rock, which chips down Togekiss's targets and allows it to pick off defensive Pokemon more easily. Tapu Bulu handles Electric- and Rock-types like Rotom-W, Tapu Koko, and Tyranitar. Tapu Lele takes on faster Poison-types such as Nidoking and can take advantage of Togekiss's wallbreaking to clean late-game with Choice Scarf.

Fairy

A Choice Scarf set makes Togekiss's Air Slash more annoying while still providing utility in the form of Defog and Trick. However, this set is highly inconsistent and struggles to deal meaningful damage. An alternative spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 128 SpD / 124 Spe with a Calm Nature prevents defensive Heatran from breaking Togekiss’s Substitute with Lava Plume while still outpacing neutral-natured base 95 Speed Pokemon like Drapion. However, this set still has trouble beating Heatran without several flinches, since it resists Air Slash and has Roar to phaze Togekiss.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fairy
--------

**Status**: Burn negates Leftovers recovery on Togekiss and makes it unable to effectively stallbreak, paralysis lowers its Speed and renders the flinch chance of Air Slash useless, and Toxic puts Togekiss on a timer. Be especially wary of Crobat's Toxic, which goes through Substitute.

**Stealth Rock**: Stealth Rock limits Togekiss's ability to switch in and take advantage of passive Pokemon with Substitute and Nasty Plot. However, this weakness can be covered by using Heavy-Duty Boots instead of Leftovers.

**Physical Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon like Choice Band Zeraora, Weavile, and Choice Band Victini outspeed Togekiss and OHKO it with a super effective move.

**Priority Moves**: Ice Shard from Choice Band Mamoswine and Bullet Punch from Life Orb Scizor OHKO Togekiss after Stealth Rock damage.

**Heatran**: Heatran can freely switch in to Togekiss's Fire-type coverage and threaten it with Toxic. However, Heatran is 2HKOed by +2 Aura Sphere.

**Melmetal**: Melmetal is not OHKOed by unboosted Fire Blast or Flamethrower, can survive +2 Fire Blast if holding an Assault Vest, and can OHKO Togekiss with Double Iron Bash even through Substitute. However, Melmetal cannot come in on Togekiss directly.

[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

Togekiss is an effective stallbreaker used in Fairy to help in breaking down defensive types like Poison, Grass and Steel. Its ability, Serene Grace, gives its Air Slash a 60% chance to flinch, which can render slower Pokemon helpless as they get slowly chipped until they get fainted as they get slowly chipped to death. Furthermore, its secondary Flying typing gives the team a Grass resist that is not afraid of Ground coverage. After a Nasty Plot boost, Togekiss becomes an extremely threatening wallbreaker that is also annoying for slower types to dispatch. However, its mediocre physical bulk, middling speed and weakness to Stealth Rock keeps Togekiss from being a premier Fairy Stallbreaker.

Another niche Togekiss has is its access to Defog, which differentiates it from Clefable. However, Clefable arguably has a better general utility in the form of Stealth Rock and Knock off, also has access to Fire-type coverage, and is not chipped by hazards. I don't think It's worth mentioning, since Galarian Weezing has placed its niche as a Defog user, and provides with a lot of tools, like being able to negate every hab, spread status, put its own hazards. Maybe you can put it on Other Options, and present that Togekiss it's a Deffoger with Ground immunity, which can be helpful in Ground matchups, but just in that case. Also, comparing Clefable with Togekiss, isn't good, due to they, in that case, don't do the same role.

[SET]
Name: Substitute-Nasty Plot (Fairy)
Move 1: Nasty Plot
Move 2: Substitute
Move 3: Fire Blast/Flamethrower
Move 4: Air Slash
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Timid Nature
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe

Air Slash is what makes Togekiss worth using. In front of a passive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Toxapex and Amoonguss, use Substitute and start increasing your special attack through Nasty Plot as these Pokemon cannot break your Substitute. Then, foil their attempts to Haze, Whirlwind or Roar or phaze outTogekiss through the huge chance of Air Slash to flinch the opposing Pokemon. A Fire-type move rounds off this set as it hits Pokemon that shrug off Air Slash, and because of its chance to burn the opponent, which dissuades physical checks to come in on it directly. The choice between Fire Blast and Flamethrower is up to the user- Fire Blast has a much higher base power, (you can mention that Fire Blast is useful by OHKOing Ferrothorn without the need of using Nasty Plot, and by far making more pressure)but runs the risk of missing and being PP stalled by Corviknight (ok, but then I think you can put something like Togekiss gets PP stalled, only if doesn't have any boost). On the other hand, Flamethrower is slightly weaker, but is more consistent and still removes Pokemon that would be OHKO'ed by Fire Blast after a Nasty Plot boost. Togekiss' Speed spread is highly customizable: 148 Speed EVs with a Timid nature may be used to outspeed Diggersby and cripple it with Flamethrower or flinch it with Air Slash. 96 Speed EVs with a Timid nature can also be considered to outspeed Bisharp and positively natured base 60 speed Pokemon. The excess EVs can then be dumped into Defense or Special Defense to help Togekiss take hits better. On the other hand, a spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 128 SpD / 124 Spe with a Calm Nature can be used so that defensive Heatran would be unable to break Togekiss Substitute with Lava Plume while still being able to outpace neutral natured base 95 speed Pokemon like Drapion.

Togekiss greatly appreciates fast pivots that can bring it in on a predicted switch. U-turn or Volt Switch Tapu Koko is especially good in this, as it invites walls such as Cradily (Cradily has ways to deal with Togekiss by using Rock Blast, which causes that can break its Substitute or possibly killing it, you should remove it) , and Ferrothorn which Togekiss can take advantage of and can provide a fast Taunt to prevent Stealth Rocks from being set. On the other hand, Togekiss helps Tapu Koko by being immune to ground type attacks that threaten it. Hatterene can also be a good team mate for Togekiss, as its ability, Magic Bounce, can make the opponent think twice before setting hazards. Tapu Bulu is also an excellent teammate, as Togekiss hates Electric and Rock type Pokemon that Tapu Bulu can handle (mention what kind of Pokémon can be put as an example of Electric and Rock). Klefki is also an excellent teammate, as it can switch into Rock and Poison type attacks that threaten Togekiss, provide with dual screen support set Light Screen and Reflect to make Togekiss' Substitute harder to break, and set Spikes to pressure the opposing team to defog hazards and screens away (mention that Dual Screen can be useful also for Azumarill on dealing with Steel matchups by setting up with Belly Drum , specially with Melmetal, and Heatran, which are a threat in fairy teams). Azumarill, another setup sweeper, can be used in tandem with Togekiss to decimate steel and poison matchups, while also helping Togekiss in other matchups by removing Rock type Pokemon with its strong Water type attacks (put 2 examples of Rock-types).
Mention that Steel-types like Heatran, and Melmetal are problematics, the first can resist, and has a immunity to Fire, and Melmetal cannot be OHKOED by an unboosted Flamethrower or Fire Blast, and by return use Double Iron Bash, so Azumarill, and Tapu Lele can act as checks of those, as Azuma can use a band set with Superpower or with a Belly Drum set, and in the case of Tapu Lele, it can use its Fighting coverage to deal against these users.

A Choice Scarf set can be considered with a maxed Special Attack and Speed with a Timid nature, as it would be a general annoyance to the enemy team through spamming its Serene Grace-boosted Air Slash while also providing utility in the form of Defog and Trick. If using Choice Scarf, Fire Blast is preferred over Flamethrower for its higher base power and the chance to OHKO Ferrothorn, Magnezone and Excadrill. However, this set is outclassed by Choice Scarf Tapu Lele which has a better speed tier and harder to wall moves.

A Babiri Berry Set with a spread of 252 HP / 132 Def / 124 Spe with a Bold nature may also be considered as it can survive a +2 Bullet Punch from Scizor after Stealth Rock damage and OHKO it with Fire Blast, though the lack of leftovers for recovery hurts the longevity of Togekiss.

**Electric and Rock Types**: Electric and Rock types resists Togekiss' air slash and can use it to regain momentum through volt switch for Tapu Koko, Zapdos, and Rotom-W, or use it as setup fodder in the case of Dragon Dance Tyranitar and Bulk Up Zeraora.

**Heatran**: Heatran needs to have its own mention, since it can resist its STAB flying, and immunity to Fire-type attacks which also Heatran can boost its fire moves, and respond with its STAB moves

Some of the suggestions implemented, thank you for the help.

I decided to remove any mention of Defog in the overview since Fairy usually doesnt run Defog (and G-Weezing isn't used as much anymore, at least after DLC 2).

Also umm no one checks Melm defensively in Fairy, its best chance is to make sure you have setup offensively (BD Azu/SD-CC Bulu/NP Togekiss) before it gets in.

okay the reply formatting would've been way easier but i committed to this because it looks nicer

[OVERVIEW]
- for the second sentence, you don't need dex info on what serene grace / flinch does and this sentence is worded weird as well. just mention how air slash's high flinch with substitute can threaten defensive mons, you shouldn't have to elaborate much more than that
- the third sentence should be reworded, fairy teams already have bulu which is a grass resist that's not afraid of ground coverage. instead, you should talk about how togekiss' defensive typing provides a secondary ground and grass resist that can check mons like garchomp and lando-t
- i'd say "extremely threatening wallbreaker" is a bit extreme. i'd probably go with "threatening wallbreaker to more defensive teams"
- also reward the last sentence, it's pretty indirect. its flaws don't keep it from being a premier fairy stallbreaker, it keeps it from finding a consistent place on fairy teams.

[SET]
- please fix formatting, it's not that difficult. look at any analysis in copyediting for how to do it. you need spaces between the slashes and the nature thing should just be Timid / Modest

[SET COMMENTS]
- again, fix formatting. there should be a [SET COMMENTS] tag before this section
- even before i look at this section i can tell there are way too many words in the first paragraph, this should be pretty brief
- remove air slash sentence, very obvious what this move does
- keep only the first substitute sentence, second is unnecessary
- make fire blast / flamethrower one sentence and remove the rest, provide example of what these moves hit and touch briefly difference. EX: Fire Blast is used to hit Steel-types like Excadrill and Magnezone, while Flamethrower can be used for more consistent accuracy at the cost of damage. (I don't even think you need to go into that much detail, but it's just an example)
- "However, Togekiss will become more vulnerable to status and now cannot setup in front of Amoongus and Ferrothorn due to Spore and Leech Seed." this is unnecessary
- " Togekiss' special attack can be boosted to terrifying levels with Nasty Plot, enabling Togekiss to OHKO Specially Defensive Corviknight with Fire Blast after Stealth Rocks damage, OHKO Melmetal with Flamethrower or Fire Blast, OHKO Offensive Tyranitar with Aura Sphere, 2HKO Specially Defensive Heatran with Aura Sphere and Specially Defensive Celesteela and Aegislash with Fire Blast or Flamethrower." the idea behind this sentence is good but it is extremely long winded. mention celesteela, aegislash, and melmetal as examples only. EX: Nasty Plot increases Togekiss' breaking power and allows it to OHKO Pokemon like Melmetal, Celesteela, and Aegislash.
- you can condense the last 2 sentences too

- make klefki first, togekiss wants screens to set up. adjust wording accordingly
- add lele

[OTHER OPTIONS]
- this is also way too long
- the main problem with scarf togekiss isn't that it gets outclassed by scarf lele, it's that it struggles to break anything and is inconsistent. you don't need the fire blast sentence either
- remove babiri set, i don't think i've ever seen anyone use this. mega scizor isn't in this meta, fairy already has ways to deal with regular scizor
- remove last paragraph
- combine everything into one paragraph

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
- remove electric and rock-types, this is also very obvious

[Overview]

- Its ability, Serene Grace, gives its Air Slash a high chance to flinch, which when, coupled with substitute, threatens most defensive Pokemon. [Explaining what Serene Grace sounds unnecessary. The dex already says what Serene Grace does but saying something like "Serene Grace synergizes notably with Air Slash, allowing it to blank blank". The Substitute line isn't required since you are mentioning it in the Set comments and examples are needed for defensive Pokemon. All moves need to have their proper capitalization (re: Substitute) in this sentence.]

- Furthermore, its secondary Flying typing gives the team a secondary Grass- and Ground-Type resistance alongside Tapu Bulu to check Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Rillaboom. , and act as a softcheck for Landorus-T, Garchomp, Rillaboom and Tapu Bulu. [This tells the reader exactly what secondary resistance you are referring to and its great if they are really new to the tier and are from like ZU but are only familiar with bad-Grass Fairy-types like Whimsicott and Shiinotic)

- However, Togekiss struggles to find a place in Fairy teams due to its mediocre physical bulk, middling speed and weakness to Stealth Rock. [Well its weakness is complementary to the goal of adding a Ground-resistance and if that really is the issue, Heavy-Duty Boots is easily a fix especially considering Fairy teams can go without pivoting teammates and if you need to bring Togekiss in X amount of times you won't excessively get chipped down by Stealth Rock. Long story short, add Heavy-Duty Boots as a slash and I think it'd go great with the NP+3 Atks set especially. Also explain that Fairy generally doesn't use hazard removal so it gives the reader a better visual.

[Set Comments]

- Air Slash is what makes Togekiss worth using, as it punishes slower Pokemon (like?) attempting to take on Togekiss.

- Substitute may be used so that allows Togekiss would be able to set up on a passive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Toxapex and Amoongus without fear of getting statused. Aura Sphere can be used over Substitute as it allows Togekiss to threaten Heatran and Tyranitar, which otherwise walls this set. ["May be used" phrase is normally used on the secondary slash. I rather be more direct because may-be-used sounds a little uncertain or something that goes inside of Other Options and not SC. Something like "Alternatively" is a little more direct.]

- A Fire-type move rounds off this set as it hits Steel-type Pokemon that shrug off Air Slash, and because of its chance to burn the opponent, which dissuades physical checks to come in on it directly. Fire Blast is used to OHKO Steel-types like Ferrothorn, while Flamethrower can be used for more consistent accuracy at the cost of damage.

**Heatran and Melmetal** These two Pokemon pose a huge threat to Togekiss as Heatran can freely switch in to Togekiss' Fire coverage and threaten it with Status, while Melmetal does not get OHKO'ed by an unboosted Fire Blast or Flamethrower and can live a +2 Fire Blast from Togekiss if holding an Assault Vest and will OHKO Togekiss with Double Iron Bash as the move also breaks its Substitute. However, Heatran will get 2HKO'ed by a +2 Aura Sphere from Togekiss, while Melmetal cannot come in on Togekiss directly. [Separate this]

**Physically-Oriented Revenge Killers and Priority Moves**: Faster Pokemon like Choice Band Zeraora, Weavile and Choice Band Victini outspeed and OHKO Togekiss with a super effective move. Furthermore, priority in the form of Ice Shard from Banded Mamoswine and Bullet Punch from Life Orb Scizor will OHKO Togekiss after Stealth Rock damage. [This too]

**Stealth Rocks**: Stealth Rocks limits Togekiss' ability to switch in and take advantage of passive Pokemon to set up a Substitute or boost with Nasty Plot. [Specify if its not using HDB]

- Mention HDB as a slash besides leftovers

After a Nasty Plot boost, Togekiss becomes a threatening wallbreaker(one word) to slower and more defensive teams. However, Togekiss struggles to find a place in on Fairy teams due to its mediocre physical bulk and middling Speed(capitalize). Togekiss’ weakness to Stealth Rock and the lack of Defog in Fairy teams due to the type’s preference to stacking hazards with Klefki and Clefable restricts Togekiss from coming in often, though it can be mitigated by using Heavy-Duty Boots. [SET COMMENTS]
Air Slash punishes slower Pokemon attempting to take on Togekiss,(RC) such as Toxapex, Slowking,(AC) and Blissey. Fire Blast is used to OHKOes Steel-types like Ferrothorn, while Flamethrower can be used for more consistent better accuracy at the cost of damage. Substitute is used so that allows Togekiss sets up on a to set up on passive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Toxapex and Amoongus without fear of getting statused. Aura Sphere can be used over Substitute as it allows Togekiss to threaten Heatran and Tyranitar, which otherwise walls this set. Nasty Plot increases Togekiss's wallbreaking power and allows it to OHKO Celesteela, Melmetal,(AC) and Tyranitar. A Modest nature may can be considered to OHKO Aegislash and Magnezone and to hit harder,(RC) as it still outspeeds most of its targets. Leftovers is the item of choice as the passive recovery over several turns of the opponent getting flinched synergizes with Air Slash's ability to make foes flinch and improves Togekiss's longevity. Alternatively, Heavy-Duty Boots can be used to maximize Togekiss’ bulk if one prefers Togekiss to utilize three attacks on three attacks sets to improve Togekiss's bulk.(It doesn't really "maximize" bulk)

Klefki is an excellent partner to Togekiss, as it can set up dual screens to make Togekiss extremely hard to take down and set Spikes to pressure the opposing team to defog hazards and screens away. Screens Dual screens also enables Belly Drum Azumarill, another setup sweeper,(RC) which that can be used in tandem with Togekiss to decimate Steel and Poison matchups by boosting its Attack to unwallable levels with a well-timed Belly Drum. Azumarill also helps Togekiss in other matchups by removing Rock-types Pokemon like Nihilego and Tyranitar with its strong Water-type attacks and specially defensive walls(lowercase) such as Galarian Slowking with Knock Off when Azumarill is using a Choice Band set. Togekiss also greatly appreciates fast pivots that can bring it in on a predicted switch. U-turn or Volt Switch Tapu Koko is especially good at this, as it invites walls such as Ferrothorn which for Togekiss can to take advantage of and can provides a fast Taunt(capitalize) to prevent Stealth Rocks from being set. Clefable is a good team mate for Togekiss as it provides Steath Rock, which provides crucial chip to Togekiss' targets allowing Togekiss chips down Togekiss's targets and allows it to pick off defensive Pokemon easier. Tapu Bulu is also an excellent team mate, as Togekiss hates Electric- and Rock-type Pokemon like Rotom-Wash, Tapu Koko and Tyranitar that Tapu Bulu can handles Electric- and Rock-types like Rotom-W, Tapu Koko, and Tyranitar. Tapu Lele also partners well with Togekiss, as it can take on Poison-type Pokemon faster than Togekiss, such as Nidoking and can clean in late-game with a Choice Scarf set after Togekiss has taken care of the opponent’s Defensive Pokemon. Tapu Lele takes on faster Poison-types such as Nidoking and can take advantage of Togekiss's wallbreaking to clean late-game with Choice Scarf.

A Choice Scarf set can be considered as Togekiss becomes a general annoyance to the enemy team through its Air Slash makes Togekiss's Air Slash more annoying while also still providing utility in the form of Defog and Trick. However, this set is highly inconsistent and struggles to deal meaningful damage. An alternative spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 128 SpD / 124 Spe with a Calm Nature can also be considered so that Defensive Heatran would be unable to break prevents defensive Heatran from breaking Togekiss's Substitute with Lava Plume while still being able to outpace outpacing neutral-(AH)natured base 95 Speed(capitalize) Pokemon like Drapion. However, one has to be extremely lucky to land several flinches on Heatran in a row, as it resists Air Slash and has access to Roar to phaze out Togekiss.

**Heatran**: Heatran can freely switch in to Togekiss' Togekiss's Fire-type coverage and threaten it with Toxic.

[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

Furthermore, its Flying typing gives the team a secondary check to Grass- and Ground-types alongside Tapu Bulu, (AC) as it can check Rillaboom, Landorus-T, and Garchomp.
I missed one more quick change.
