[OVERVIEW]

Togekiss's typing, Roost, and Nasty Plot make it a bulky wallbreaker and a check to top threats like Zarude, Krookodile, and Kommo-o. It's also an amazing stallbreaker, as it can beat Chansey with flinches thanks to Nasty Plot and Heal Bell. However, Togekiss requires heavy support to break through common Pokemon such as Rhyperior, Aegislash, and Thundurus. It hates Knock Off, as losing Heavy-Duty Boots greatly reduces its ability to check Pokemon like Buzzwole and Kommo-o with Stealth Rock up. Togekiss is outsped by a majority of offensive Pokemon such as Nidoking and Thundurus. It's also very weak before a Nasty Plot boost and is very passive against offensive teams if it lacks Thunder Wave.

[SET COMMENTS]

Nasty Plot allows Togekiss to break through bulkier teams by setting up on passive Pokemon such as Chansey, Tangrowth, and Umbreon. Heal Bell gives Togekiss and its team status removal for Toxic Aegislash, Will-O-Wisp Rotom-W, and stall staples such as Chansey and Umbreon. Thunder Wave slows down faster Pokemon such as Nihilego and stacks well with Serene Grace Air Slash. It can also act as an emergency check to Dragon Dance Salamence and Necrozma. Roost allows Togekiss to better check Krookodile, Zarude, and Buzzwole throughout a game. Maximum HP and Speed investment allows Togekiss to better check Pokemon such as Kommo-o and outspeed Buzzwole. A set with Flamethrower and a more offensive spread of 76 HP / 180 SpA / 252 Spe can be used to OHKO offensive Aegislash after a Nasty Plot boost.

Togekiss is a good pick on bulky offense and balance due to its great matchup against stall. Rhyperior and Seismitoad provide an Electric immunity to deal with Thundurus and the Rotom formes, can use Stealth Rock, and help weaken Pokemon such as Krookodile. Choice Scarf Krookodile and Aegislash can handle Pokemon such as Nihilego, Galarian Slowbro, and Lycanroc-D, while Togekiss can handle Buzzwole. Knock Off absorbers such as Amoonguss and Buzzwole can help Togekiss keep Heavy-Duty Boots, particularly against Krookodile. Buzzwole appreciates Togekiss slowing down threats such as Nihilego with Thunder Wave, and Togekiss appreciates Buzzwole breaking through Rhyperior, Celesteela, and Chansey. Fire-types like Volcanion and Entei can remove Steel-types such as Aegislash and Celesteela. Volcanion also threatens Rock-types like Rhyperior, while Entei can wear down Pokemon with Sacred Fire burns. Zygarde-10% and Mamoswine help Togekiss break through Poison-types such as Tentacruel and Nidoking. Primarina and Kommo-o greatly benefit from stall teams being worn down to enable cleanup.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Defog can be potentially run on a more defensive utility set, but Togekiss cannot threaten common Stealth Rock users such as Jirachi and Nihilego. Choice Scarf + Trick can outspeed Pokemon such as Keldeo and cripple walls such as Chansey and Umbreon. However, it is very matchup dependent and means Togekiss has to worry about Stealth Rock. Grass Knot can be used to lure in and nail Rhyperior on the offensive set, but Flamethrower is better due to hitting Steel-types such as Celesteela and Aegislash.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types**: Thundurus, Thundurus-T, and Rotom-H resist Air Slash and are immune to Thunder Wave, turning Togekiss into setup fodder for them.

**Rock-types**: Rhyperior shrugs off Air Slash and is immune to Thunder Wave. Lycanroc-D and Nihilego can outspeed and remove Togekiss, though they must watch out for Thunder Wave.

**Steel-types**: Celesteela and Aegislash can switch into Air Slash and threaten Togekiss out with their STAB attacks. Due to their lower Speed, they can potentially lose to flinches. Faster Steel-types such as Jirachi and Cobalion only fear Thunder Wave.

**Poison-types**: Tentacruel and Nidoking can outspeed and deal heavy damage to Togekiss. Assault Vest Galarian Slowbro can take multiple hits with its high special bulk, though must be careful of repeated flinches.

[OVERVIEW]

- Togekiss's unique Fairy / Flying typing, access to Roost, and Nasty Plot let it be a bulky wallbreaker and check top threats like Zarude, Krookodile, and Kommo-o.
- Serene Grace alongside Air Slash allows it to flinch slower Pokemon such as Primarina, Amoonguss, and Tangrowth. reword this to say it can break through slower checks due to serene grace; specify av tang and remove amoong since its not a check
- Heal Bell is able to remove status for itself and its teammates, while Thunder Wave can slow down faster targets as well as synergizing well with Air Slash to break Pokemon down. mention what twave cripples
- However, many Electric-types such as Thundurus, Raikou, and Rotom-H are immune to Thunder Wave, can all outspeed, and threaten to deal heavy damage to Togekiss. say it struggles a lot against a bunch of very popular stuff like scizor, nihilego, rhyperior, lycan, subtox aegi, every electric-type and how it can't get past them without a lot of team support
- It also hates Knock Off, as losing it's Heavy-Duty Boots greatly reduces its ability to check Pokemon due to taking Stealth Rock damage.

  • say toge is an amazing stallbreaker through the use of nasty plot + heal bell to win 1v1s against stuff like chansey and mew and how serene grace lets it cheese through matchups and
  • it also suffers from a pretty bad speed tier that isn't compensated by something like amazing breaking power like prim and buzzwole

- Nasty Plot allows Togekiss to boost its Special Attack to break through bulkier teams, setting up on passive Pokemon such as Chansey, Amoonguss, and Umbreon. you don't really want to set up on amoong, switch for tang
- Serene Grace boosts Air Slash's flinch chance to 60%.
talk about air slash, what it hits, and how it lets toge cheese matchups like salamence after it's been paralyzed
- Heal Bell removes status such as Toxic from Aegislash and Will-O-Wisp from Mew from it and it's teammates. you missed the key point in that it lets toge 1v1 stall shit like umbry and chansey Thunder Wave slows down faster Pokemon such as Nihilego, and stacks well with Air Slash, potentially beating them with the full paralysis and flinch chance.
- Roost allows Togekiss to better check Krookodile, Zarude, and Buzzwole through out a game.
- Since it already boosts its Special Attack with Nasty Plot, maximum HP and Speed investment allows Togekiss to better check Pokemon such as Kommo-o. and outspeed buzzwole
- A set with Flamethrower on and a more offensive spread with 76 HP / 180 SpA / 252 Spe to OHKO offensive Aegislash after a Nasty Plot boost.

- Togekiss is a good pick on bulky offense and balance, due to it's great matchup against stall.
- Stealth Rock setters such as Rhyperior and Seismitoad provide an Electric immunity to deal with Thundurus and the Rotom formes. They also appreciate Heal Bell support to not be worn down by Toxic.
- Zarude has a good matchup against Aegislash, Thundurus, and Rhyperior, with Togekiss helping against Amoonguss. zarude is slower gets destroyed by u-turn or focus blast from thundy. change it for rotom-w
- Steel-types like Aegislash and Scizor can cover Togekiss's weaknesses to Poison, Rock, and Ice, while Togekiss provides a Ground immunity for them.
- Choice Scarf Krookodile and Scizor can revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Nihilego and Lycanroc-D. merge these last 2 points and say what covers rock-types like nihi, lycan and rhyperior
- Knock Off absorbers such as Tangrowth can help Togekiss keep it's Heavy-Duty Boots and deal with Stealth Rock setter such as Rhyperior and Seismitoad.
- It appreciates Defog support from Rotom-H, as it's Electric-type resistance and ability to deal with Scizor are very valuable.

- Togekiss has mediocre speed tier that wouldn't be compensated by a great wallbreaking power such as Primarina and Buzzwole. This reads a little weirdly to me. I'd split it into two sentences. The first being it has a middling Speed tier, which leaves it outpaced by a majority of the offensive metagame. Then the second about its lack of immediate power and it only really being a threat after a Nasty Plot boost. I'd further go on to say that without Thunder Wave it's fairly passive against a majority of offensive teams.

- Rotom-W has a good matchup against Aegislash, Thundurus, and Rhyperior, with Togekiss helping against Amoonguss. I wouldn't really say Washtom has a good matchup against the first two. Yeah, it can trade vs them but it doesn't want to be the initial pivot into them. This point also feels redundant.
- Choice Scarf Krookodile and Scizor can cover Togekiss's weaknesses to Poison, Rock, and Ice and handle faster Pokemon such as Nihilego and Lycanroc-D, while Togekiss can handle Buzzwole.
- Knock Off absorbers such as Tangrowth and Buzzwole can help Togekiss keep it's Heavy-Duty Boots, particularly against Krookodile. and deal with Stealth Rock setter such as Rhyperior and Seismitoad. Amoong is a better knock absorber than Tang rn given it usually wants to keep its AV. Expand on Buzzwole being a wallbreaker that appreciates Togekiss slowing down foes like Nihilego with Twave. Also, list some of the things it can remove that give Togekiss issues like Rhyperior, Celesteela, and, if lacking Heal Bell, Chansey.
- It appreciates Defog support from Rotom-H, as it's Electric-type resistance and ability to deal with Scizor are very valuable. Making this about Defog is odd. I'd just make it about Fire-types like Volcanion and Entei being able to remove Steel-types like Aegislash, Celesteela, and Scizor. Then further expand on how Volcanion also threatens Rock-types like..., while Entei can do a good job wearing them down with Sacred Fire.

- Defog can be potentially run a more defensive utility set, but it often has trouble fitting it on its move set and is better on Pokemon such as Salamence and Moltres. This can be worded better. It's about Togekiss lacking the power to threaten Stealth Rock setters like Rhyperior, Nihilego, and Jirachi unlike these other two.
- Choice Scarf + Trick can outspeed Pokemon such as Keldeo and cripple slow walls such as Chansey and Umbreon. However, it is very matchup dependent and means Togekiss can’t run Heavy-Duty Boots so it has to worry about Stealth Rock.

**Electric-types**: Electric-types like Raikou, Thundurus, Thundurus-T and Rotom-H resist Air Slash and are immune to Thunder Wave, turning Togekiss into set-up fodder for them. Raikou no longer has a CM set so just remove it for convenience

**Rock-types**: Rhyperior shrugs off Air Slash and is immune Thunder Wave. Lycanroc-D and Nihilego can outspeed and revenge kill remove Togekiss, though they must watch out for Thunder Wave.

**Steel-types**: Celesteela, Aegislash, and Scizor can switch into Air Slash and can threaten Togekiss them out with their STAB attacks. They all must watch out for a boosted Flamethrower. Given that it isn't slashed you can remove this last bit. I would have a small note that these slower Steel-types bar Scizor can potentially be flinched through if sufficiently weakened. It would also be worth mentioning faster Steel-types like Jirachi and Cobalion that it can't fish against unless carrying Thunder Wave.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off forces Togekiss to use Roost more often, sacrificing momentum and struggling to check Buzzwole, Zarude, and Kommo-o long term.

Defog can be potentially run on a more defensively oriented utility set, but it cannot threaten common Stealth Rock users such as Jirachi and Nihilego. Choice Scarf + Trick can outspeed Pokemon such as Keldeo and cripple slow walls such as Chansey and Umbreon. However, it is very matchup dependent and means Togekiss can’t run Heavy-Duty Boots so it has to worry about Stealth Rock. Grass Knot can be used as a Rhyperior lure on the offensive set, but Flamethrower is better due to hitting Steel-types such as Celesteela and Aegislash.
