Tomohawk [QC 1/1] [GP 1/1]

Tomohawk @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 28 SpA / 136 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave / Aura Sphere
- Roost
- Rapid Spin / Stealth Rock

Tomohawk finds itself being one of the best Pokemon in the CAP metagame due to its combination of a strong defensive typing and access to Intimidate, which allows Tomohawk to check many of the metagame's strongest physical attackers, such as Conkeldurr, Colossoil, Terrakion, and Excadrill. Tomohawk is able to compress this fantastic defensive utility with the ability to both set and remove entry hazards effectively; it is strong enough to discourage frail Ghost-types such as Dragapult and Gengar from attempting to spinblock while also being able to pressure many common hazard removal options, such as Equilibra and opposing Tomohawk. Heat Wave is typically preferred, as it allows Tomohawk to hit Aegislash and Bulletproof Equilibra. However, Aura Sphere can be used to hit Hydreigon, Colossoil, and non-Bulletproof Equilibra. Toxapex and Equilibra make for incredible partners for Tomohawk, as they can check Fairy-types such as Clefable and Jumbao for it, while Tomohawk checks all of the aforementioned Ground- and Fighting-types for them.

Tomohawk finds itself being one of the best Pokemon in the CAP metagame due to a combination of its strong defensive typing and its access to Intimidate, which together allow Tomohawk to check many of the metagame's strongest physical attackers, such as Conkeldurr, Colossoil, Terrakion, and Excadrill. As Tomohawk is strong enough to discourage frail Ghost-types such as Dragapult and Gengar from attempting to block its Rapid Spin whilst also being able to pressure many common hazard removal options, such as Equilibra and opposing Tomohawk, it makes for a great user of both Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock. I would like to see some explicit mention of it being a great role compressor here. Heat Wave is typically preferred as it allows Tomohawk to hit Corviknight and Bulletproof Equilibra, however, Aura Sphere can be used if hitting Hydreigon, Colossoil, and non-Bulletproof Equilibra is desired. Heat Wave is typically preferred because of Aegislash, Corviknight really doesn't play a huge part in it because Heat Wave doesn't do enough depending on the EV spread anyways. Toxapex and Equilibra make for incredible partners for Tomohawk as they can check Fairy-types for it such as Clefable and Jumbao, while Tomohawk offers them checks to all of the aforementioned Ground types, and Fighting-types respectively.
Good job, 1/1.
