Furthermore, Toxapex becomes easier to trap, as it does less damage under sun. Moltres provides a more reliable Ground immunity than Air Balloon Volcanion while also providing Defog support and pivoting with U-turn. Incineroar switches into special attackers better under sun, which weakens Water-type attacks from threats such as Volcanion, Toxapex, and Rotom-W. It also helps the team deal with Ghost-types such as Dragapult and Spectrier.

Rest is an option over Yawn on Torkoal to increase its longevity, but it makes Torkoal setup fodder for Pokemon like Substitute Dragapult. Will-O-Wisp is also an option over Yawn or Lava Plume, giving Torkoal a better chance to burn Pokemon like Dragonite than Lava Plume. Heavy-Duty Boots over Heat Rock makes Torkoal immune to Stealth Rock, but this cuts into sun's duration and thus isn't that good.
