It's able to threaten the bulkiest of walls such as Toxapex and Mega Venusaur with Supersonic Skystrike. It also provides Knock Off support, which weakens defensive powerhouses such as Chansey and Ferrothorn, as well as Defog support, which removes Stealth Rock, therefore helping to increase the longevity of its teammates. Additionally, its solid all-around stats when coupled with U-turn and Regenerator make Tornadus-T a pivotal part of any Flying team. Teammates such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Volt Switch Thundurus-T pair well with Tornadus-T by creating exceptional VoltTurn cores, with the former being able to check Mega Diancie and Tapu Koko and the latter using its strong special attacks to better break down some its checks such as Zapdos. Other teammates such as Celesteela, Gliscor, and Mantine form solid synergy with it, as they are able to combine their typings and utility to create a powerful defensive core.
