Hurricane is Tornadus-T's strongest STAB move and hits Grass-types like Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, and Mega Venusaur for super effective damage. It also OHKOes Kartana, which is extremely prominent. Knock Off provides excellent utility, crippling Pokemon that resist Hurricane and stop it dead in its tracks otherwise, such as Heatran, Zapdos, and Celesteela. It also helps against Pokemon like Landorus-T, Gastrodon, Ferrothorn, and Chansey, which don't appreciate having their item removed. U-turn lets Tornadus-T serve as a pivot and is especially useful to gain momentum against Pokemon that it can force out, such as Kartana and Tapu Bulu. Defog removes entry hazards from the field and can shut down hazard setters like Ferrothorn and defensive Landorus-T. Toxic can be used instead of U-turn to put popular Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Gastrodon, Mega Latias, and Zapdos on a timer, which lays a lot of pressure on them. Although it is a situational move, Heat Wave can also be used instead of U-turn to get off a strong, accurate hit on Kartana, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn. Taunt is yet another option that can be used instead of U-turn to match up better against walls like Toxapex, Ferrothorn, Clefable, and Chansey, as they largely rely on their passive moves to annoy Tornadus-T and its team.

Regenerator is Tornadus-T's only ability and is very useful because it grants Tornadus-T important longevity.
Usage Tips

Tornadus-T should be used to check Pokemon like Kartana, Tapu Bulu, and Choice Scarf or defensive Landorus-T. Tornadus-T should remove entry hazards if the chance presents itself, as this allows its team to switch around without getting punished by them. Tornadus-T can afford to use U-turn after using Defog due to its high base Speed. Use Knock Off to cripple Pokemon like Heatran, Zapdos, Gastrodon, and Toxapex on the switch. Switch Tornadus-T in against U-turn users like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor to chip away at their health with Rocky Helmet. Try to avoid Toxic from Pokemon like Toxapex, Gastrodon, and Heatran, as it puts heavy pressure on Tornadus-T, making it very hard for it to switch in and effectively remove entry hazards. Watch out for Thunder Wave and Glare from Clefable and Zygarde, as paralysis makes Tornadus-T lose its very important Speed tier, which it uses to check Pokemon like Landorus-T, Kartana, and Tapu Bulu.

Amoonguss and Tangrowth can form a powerful Regenerator core with Tornadus-T that can check a wide variety of Pokemon. Due to their outstanding synergy, it becomes practically impossible for Pokemon like Tapu Bulu and Kartana to overwhelm this core. Tornadus-T can take on Mega Venusaur, which is a major annoyance to Amoonguss and Tangrowth. In return, Amoonguss and Tangrowth can check Tapu Koko and Ash-Greninja. Choice Band Zygarde struggles with Grass-types, which Tornadus-T can easily pressure, letting it break through opposing teams much more easily.
