Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls! It's time to start up our Tours Plaza Premiere's 3rd edition with Week One!

Format :


Our 8 illustrious teams will compete in a straight round robin tournament, and every team will get to play against every other team. At the end of the round robin, the top four teams will move on to our series semi-finals, where the #1 seed will take on the #4 seed, and #2 will take on the #3 seed, to determine our grand finalists. A win will be worth 2 points, a draw 1, and a loss 0.

Note : Every player on the team must play once in the 7 weeks of playoffs.

Sportsmanship: Don't be an ass. Not to your opponents, not to your team, not on PS, not on Smogon, not to me. A bit of friendly banter is ok, but please know where to draw the line. Think before you type, please.

Scheduling and Activity Wins: Contact your opponent as quickly as possible on their Smogon wall, and look out for them on PS. You will have one week from the posting of the week's matches to get it done, and I will not be granting any extensions for any reasons. If your opponent is not responding to your post on their wall, cannot be found on PS, or miss multiple scheduled times, make a detailed activity post in the thread letting me know why you deserve the win. No activity post means no activity call. As long as you have visible attempts at scheduling (such as wall posts), you will be fine.

Disconnections and Timer: A timer loss is a loss. No if's, and's, or but's about it. If your opponent is nice enough to replay that's fine, but they are by no means obligated to.

Ghosting and Identity: Don't take or give battle advice or make moves based solely on the suggestions of others, and don't pretend to be someone else in order to play as them. You will be caught, and you will be disqualified from this season as well as future PS! tournaments (BLT, PSPL, etc.).

Substitutions: Managers are free to substitute out inactive players at any point during the week with any subs they chose during the draft. Be sure to post in the thread when making a substitution.

STABmon Gen 8 + Almost Any Ability: Don Vascus vs 23Gz - They are both good players who know the tier well so I expect a good game. I'll give a small advantage to 23gz because I like their team choices more.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6/7/8 OU: Splash vs Roginald - They are two good players but I'll give Splash a small advantage because he is more knowledgeable of the tier
CaMonotype: PA vs Euphonos - I think euphonos has a better grasp of the metagame but it wouldn't surprise me if pa wins
Gen 8 Doubles NU: iKiQ vs LTG - Ltg is more active in doubles so he has the advantage.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Forms Obtainable: Kate vs Trade - A game between two excellent ag / ubers players, so I think the game will be close and a fun one to watch. I'll give a slight advantage to trade given their excellent history (they did well in blt, agpl and ubers premier league).
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six: Sificon vs Axelsior - I will avoid making a prediction here (because it's a game between two friends so I'm fine with either player winning) so I'll just say good luck to both.

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability: RICEMAN vs The Number Man - An hl match, a game between two players who know each other well and who know the metagame well, so the details will make the difference. I'll give a small advantage to the number man because he has more experience.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega: Nol vs Icemaster - Icemaster has more experience in this tier.
Best of 3 No team preview Gen 6/7/8 OU: 7u9i2 vs Gray - I believe gray has more knowledge and experience in various ou gens than 7u9i2.
CaMonotype: Mossy Sandwich vs kythr - Another close match. Mossy Sandwich did well in ompl (so I will give the advantage to him) but on the other hand, kythr is a very solid player.
Gen 8 Doubles NU: Crunchman vs queso - Crunchman is in the quarterfinals of doubles seasonal so he definitely has some more experience in the metagame.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes: Eggs McGee vs WSun1 - An interesting match between an omm player and an ag player, I'll give eggs mcgee a small advantage because he has more experience in these types of tiers.
TheFranklin vs shiloh An hl match, both are very good players but I'll give an advantage to shiloh because he has the better style of play"

Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega: Ransei vs not a racist - It seems to me it will be a close game, but I will give an advantage to ransei because he's more experienced in omms.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6/7/8 OU: ez vs Stareal - Another very interesting match between two very good players, I'll give a small advantage to ez because he has more experience in gens 6-7.
CaMonotype: Jolly Togekiss ^ - ^ vs Elgino10 -Jolly Togekiss is a good monotype player, I think they will be able to use that knowledge of monotype to do well in camo mono.
Gen 8 Doubles NU: Surfy vs Memoric - I haven't seen Surfy play much of any doubles, but maybe he will do well there too. I will give the advantage to memoric because they're a solid doubles main.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes: FatFighter2 vs mammalu - I don't think I've ever seen mammalu play ubers (but I could be wrong) and while I think he is better when playing doubles, he has all the credentials to do well in ubers too. I will give a little advantage to ff2 because of his knowledge in ubers.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : TonyFlygon vs 100%gxe An hl match, both are very good players but I'll give an advantage to 100%gxe because they usually use peculiar sets, and in this tier that can make a big difference."

STABmons Gen 8+ Almost Any Ability: DerpyBoi vs Atha - I haven't seen derpyboi play much of this tier, while atha is an oms player and I think it will be easy for them to adapt to this tier.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega: Ax vs fabwooloo - A very close and fun game to watch, I think the small details will make the difference, but I will give fabwooloo an advantage.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6/7/8 OU: Aurodian vs airfare - I think airfare has more knowledge of gen 8 ou, but I believe aurodian has more knowledge in both gens 6 and 7.
Gen 8 Doubles NU: Shadowmonstr7 vs SingleThunder - Both have played in a doubles nu tournament, but I'll give a small advantage to shadowmostr7 because he has a better grasp of the tier.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes: Lasen vs Fc - Another hl match between two very good Ubers players, but I will give fc a small advantage (because I like his teams more).
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : superepicampharos vs leru I think leru should win because he has a lot of team building knowledge and they're also a solid player

So I decided I'm gonna do these for tpp too.
They may be late cause I lacked knowledge of quite a few people here and I like sleeping, but they're here now. Predicts!

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability : Don Vascus vs 23Gz - From what I know, 23Gz is not only a good omms player, but a very creative player at that, with a varying style, and somewhat unconventional sets, while I believe Don has a more solidified style, which might make it difficult for him to prep against 23gz, and easier for 23gz to prep against don. I'll say 23Gz wins here.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega : WMAR vs PociekMociek - Happened, nice win WMAR.
Bring 10 Pick 6 Random Battles w/ Dynamax : i want a lamp vs snorlax142857 - Happened. Don't really know Snorlax well... so I expected lamp to win.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6 /7/ 8 OU : Splash vs Roginald - I consider this to be a bit of an hl, and it should be close. Both are great ou players who I've seen a lot of in the past. However, when it comes to gen 6 and 7 ou, I think the one on the left has made more of a splash in those. I'm thinking this will be a 3 game set, with Roginald taking gen 8, and splash taking gens 6 and 7.
CaMonotype : PA vs Euphonos - Both of these players have a relatively strong history of playing camo mono in the past, and both are known to be good players in general. Pa knows mono well, and I believe Euph knows camo well, but I think I'll give the edge to Euph. I think he has a more dominant, and seemingly more recent (according to tnm and raj) history of camo mono prowess, but I wouldn't be surprised if pa wins.
Gen 8 Doubles NU : iKiQ vs LTG - I didn't know iKiQ played doubles, while ltg has been playing doubles since gen 7, and has even done so in a recent team tour, this being blt. Sorry iKiQ, but I'm gonna say the known doubles main wins here.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes : Kate vs Trade - While kate is a good player, known for ag and even natdex, being in the top 10 of the nat dex ladder, and pretty much topping the nat dex ag ladder, Trade is... Trade. I consider this an hl match and expect it to be good, but I think Trade's pure ability to play anything and everything well should be enough to win this.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : Sificon vs Axelsior - This def seems like it could be close, but from what I remember, axel has played same six before, and I'm not so sure for sifi. Also, axel seems like the better player in general, so I think I'll favor axel here.

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability : RICEMAN vs The Number Man - Ah yes, a true battle between two men, one of rice and one of numbers. Big hl match, and a tpp rematch. Both of these players have plenty of experience playing omms, especially staaab. Rice may be good, as a food and staaab player, but when it comes to omm prowess and numbers, you can't get much better than the numerical male himself. I think tnm should win here as I think he's a bit better than rice, but I can see rice winning, like he did last time in a bo3. Do a bo3 again
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega : Nol vs Icemaster - Snowexpert has been in the tp community for more than 2 years now, and is a great player known to be well versed in both omms and ubers/ag, even with a history of playing this specific omm last tpp. Because of that, and the fact that I haven't really seen Nol do much in the way of tournaments at all, I'm gonna go with icemaster.

Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6 /7/ 8 OU : 7u9i2 vs Gray - I think 7u9i2 goes relatively unrecognized in this community, but he's actually relatively solid in what he's good at. By that I mean ubers... so its interesting to see him slotted here. Gray has been around for quite a few years now and is a very good player in several tiers, namely lc and ou. I'm thinking gray will win this because I think he's generally the better player, and def more of a solid ou main, while I've never seen 7u9i2 play ou.
CaMonotype : Mossy Sandwich vs kythr - Hl match. Among the tp community, kythr is a well known goat in every sense of the acronym, being able to play a lot of things very well, as well as having a history in playing some oms, and mono. However, Mossy has quite the history of playing camomons and camomono, having played them in past tournaments, and even beating Euphonos in camo in ompl. I'm favoring kythr here because kythr is def the better player and should win if motivated, but beating camo goat mossy won't be easy.
Gen 8 Doubles NU : Crunchman vs queso - Cheese is a great overall player who can play several tiers, and def has doubles experience, as they played that for like half of blt, and with this being doubles nu... I'm expecting some interesting team building. Unfortunately for cheese, crunchman is a very solid doubles main and I think that's most important when playing a doubles tier. Cheese isn't usually a food you crunch, but that's what I think's gonna happen here. Man of rice, man of numbers, and now the man of crunch.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes : Eggs McGee vs WSun1 - I've never seen WSun1 play, but after learning a bit, I've found out he's an experienced ag player who's competed in various ag smog tours. From what I've seen in the omm room, Eggs def has some experience playing this tier, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm picking WSun1 to win. Comparing a user who gets there experience from smog tours and probably other things, to a user who gets it from room tours, smog tours def brings more experience imo. The sun is gonna scramble these eggs.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : TheFranklin vs shiloh - Hl match. Originally I bolded arce here, as he's a very solid player who's pretty versatile, but then I was told a bit more about shiloh. We all know arce as the ru goat, but I hear shiloh plays a lot of different things, and that they're an "insanely good" player, but what really stood out to me is that shiloh is apparently creative with their playstyle, often bringing unconventional things and being hard to prep for. Imo that is a big advantage in same six, so because of that and the other aforementioned reasons, I'll give the edge to shiloh.

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability : DerpyBoi vs Atha - DerpyBoi seems to be a decent staaab player with a history in ompl, but in another team tour, atha once went undefeated or nearly undefeated in staaab, having faced against good omm players too, having even brought the same team for nearly half the tour. After seeing what he did in that tour, I feel sure that atha is the better staaab player here.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega : Ax vs fabwooloo - Both of these players have plenty of experience in omms, so I imagine this should be pretty close. While I'm pretty sure joey has more experience in the tier, I'm gonna bold ax I think he might be the better player, as well as a combination other people saying ax is better and a gut feeling.
Bring 10 Pick 6 Random Battles w/ Dynamax : Vaboh vs Expulso - Happened, expected expulso to win since idrk vaboh. Man, I didn't get to predict a single randbats matches.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6 /7/ 8 OU : Aurodian vs airfare - From what I know, Aurodian plays old gens and nat dex, and while experience with old gens can come in handy here, airfare should have the edge from being an ou main, and probably being the better player in general. Expecting this to be good though.
CaMonotype : cy vs temp - In terms of skill as a player, these 2 seem pretty even. And while its tempting to say this match could be close, I hear temp did a lot of camo mono prep before the tour, like prepping up to a month in advance. Because of that, and because temp's generally a great player, I'm gonna say temp wins here.

Gen 8 Doubles NU : Shadowmonstr7 vs SingleThunder - This might seem like an upset pick at first, because most people in this community know shadow and that he's a solid doubles main, but after doing some research on SingleThunder, turns out he's a solid doubles main too, one that by some is considered better than shadow. If this was purely based on player skill and experience, I'd say this is a bit of a tossup (both players are good and pretty damn experienced in doubles), or maybe I'd lean shadow slightly, but apparently SingleThunder has really good support, so because of that, and his long doubles history that might be longer and possibly more expansive than shadow's, I will give only a slight edge to SingleThunder. Thunder may be 70% accurate but here it will hit, and it will kill.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes : Lasen vs Fc - Major hl match. This definitely seems like one of, if not the closest match this week. I know both players are really good in ubers/ag, but I think I'll go with Fc. I've seen more of him and others seem to think he's a bit better, sorry lasen.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : SuperEpicAmpharos vs Leru - Ok, hear me out... this guy has 2 trophies.
