It's time to see who our 4 semi-finalists are for this final round-robin week of Tours Plaza Premiere III!

Format :

Our 8 preeminent teams will compete in a straight round-robin tournament, and every team will get to play against every other team. At the end of the round-robin, the top four teams will move on to our series semi-finals, where the #1 seed will take on the #4 seed, and #2 will take on the #3 seed, to determine our grand finalists. A win will be worth 2 points, a draw 1, and a loss 0.

Note : Every player on the team must play once in the 7 weeks of round-robin.

Sportsmanship: Don't be an ass. Not to your opponents, not to your team, not on PS, not on Smogon, not to me. A bit of friendly banter is ok, but please know where to draw the line. Think before you type, please.

Scheduling and Activity Wins: Contact your opponent as quickly as possible on their Smogon wall, and look out for them on PS. You will have one week from the posting of the week's matches to get it done, and I will not be granting any extensions for any reasons. If your opponent is not responding to your post on their wall, cannot be found on PS, or miss multiple scheduled times, make a detailed activity post in the thread letting me know why you deserve the win. No activity post means no activity call. As long as you have visible attempts at scheduling (such as wall posts), you will be fine.

Disconnections and Timer: A timer loss is a loss. No if's, and's, or but's about it. If your opponent is nice enough to replay that's fine, but they are by no means obligated to.

Ghosting and Identity: Don't take or give battle advice or make moves based solely on the suggestions of others, and don't pretend to be someone else in order to play as them. You will be caught, and you will be disqualified from this season as well as future PS! tournaments (BLT, PSPL, etc.).

Substitutions: Managers are free to substitute out inactive players at any point during the week with any subs they chose during the draft. Be sure to post in the thread when making a substitution.

Welp, we're out of the running for playoffs - some things just didn't go our way, whether it be RNG, 50-50s, matchups, or simply getting outplayed. However, I want to thank Trade and blce for drafting me and all of the Pults for creating an amazing, supportive community and making this an enjoyable first TPP for me!

Anyway, here are the Playoff Prospects:

Absolposters are in as first seed. Lopunnys are in as probably second seed. There are four teams competing for the other two slots, however, and they play each other:
3. Bounsweets (7 | +4) vs 6. Impostors (6 | -4)
4. Frosmoths (6 | -1) vs 5. Deerling (6 | -2)

Under the unreasonable assumption that all matchups are 50-50s, here are the (simple) calculations:

If Bounsweets win or tie (163/256): they are in, and Impostors are out. Frosmoths are in if they win or tie (163/256), Deerling otherwise (93/256).
If Bounsweets lose (93/256): Impostors are in. If either of Frosmoths (93/256) or Deerling (93/256) win, they are in; if they tie (70/256), Bounsweets are in unless they lose 6 or more differential (9/256 assuming no deadgaming allowed), in which case Frosmoths win.

Final chances (the math is accurate, but of course, it means little practically):
Bounsweets: 163/256 + 93/256 * 70/256 * 247/256 = 73.3%
Frosmoths: 163/256 * 163/256 + 93/256 * 93/256 + 93/256 * 70/256 * 9/256 = 54.1%
Deerling: 163/256 * 93/256 + 93/256 * 93/256 = 36.3%
Impostors: 93/256 = 36.3%

Bouncing Bounsweets (4) vs Icirrus City Impostors (4)

STAAAB : The Dragon Master (40) vs Atha (60): same as above, I'm not sure if slotting advt for the first time in this tier, I don't really know his omm experience. On the other hand, atha is a beast in staaab
SnM : WMAR (40) vs fabwooloo (60): joey has been quite inconsistent in snm but I believe he can take this either way
Rands : i want a lamp (60) vs lvl100Blaziken (40): very interesting matchup, and even if saba broke lamp's winstreak last week I think he can still take this
Bo3 OU : Splash (60) vs airfare (40): Would've handed this to airfare if he won last week, I think splash has a bit more knowledge with no preview
CaMonotype : PA (60) vs Expulso (40): PA came off of a win vs myself last week and expulso a loss unfortunately vs one of the best camono players in this pool. Fortunately temp won't be 0-6 for now
Doubles NU : Zoaw (40) vs Drivetacos (60): Zoaw has been struggling quite hard and I think I've seen Drivetacos get a win
National Dex Ubers : Kate (55) vs Fc (45): Quite a close matchup but I think kate's at her best shape rn
National Dex Same Six : Sificon (40) vs Leru (60): It's about time Leru gets a win, also I believe better player overall

Absolute Absolposters (5) vs Lavaridge Lopunnys (3)

STAAAB : The Number Man (70) vs p4P1//0n (30): as usual tnm will win this season undefeated, as I have not seen pap play staaab before
SnM : Icemaster (60) vs PokaPK (40): I love my scrafties but I haven't seen poka playing in quite a while
Rands : Casual dot exe (60) vs Mystras Leoxses (40): How are absols good in rands too tell me..
Bo3 OU : Gray (55) vs ez (45): this is a very fun matchup with both players having great records, but Gray with the absol buff is stronger imo
CaMonotype : Ron...5 (30) vs Jolly Togekiss ^-^ (70): JT has been on a stroll with an impressive record, I think his building style is really good and he should be able to take this one as well
Doubles NU : queso (45) vs Surfy (55): Surfy has been doing better in this tier
National Dex Ubers : WSun1 (65) vs FatFighter2 (35): Will has showed his dominance in this tier so far in this tour so even if he doesn't know where korea is I'll bold him
National Dex Same Six : shiloh (40) vs TonyFlygon (60): Both are great players with great records but I've seen more wins from tony

Bannedorus Therians (1) vs Postwick Pults (7)

(Both teams are out unfortunately, good runs to both! blce <3)
STAAAB : RaJ.Shoot (30) vs 23Gz (70): All I've seen from Raj staaab was losing to don last week and Gz had an incredible game last week.. so yeah
SnM : Instruct (30) vs PociekMociek (70): non-mainer vs mainer
Rands : TheFranklin (60) vs lph (40): arce is the better player overall, and also is more experienced in rands
Bo3 OU : Crunchman (40) vs Roginald (60): Haven't really seen crunchman play singles in general
CaMonotype : Mossy Sandwich (45) vs Euphonos (55): LOL the match ended while I was writing but I would've bolded euph anyway
Doubles NU : RICEMAN (40) vs LTG (60): LTG came off of a good win last week and I still don't know what rice is doing
National Dex Ubers : 7u9i2 (30) vs pannuracotta (70): pannu had a p good record this tour compared to 7up
National Dex Same Six : Eggs (40) vs Axelsior (60): Axel had a nice s6 run, I can see him taking this one with enough prep

Tis the long awaited final week of the preliminaries, with half the teams still trying for playoffs! I don't think I've seen the competition be this close in the past, and I feel any of the competing teams have a strong chance of getting in playoffs. Now, without further ado, lets take a look at those deciding matches, shall we? Predicts!

Bouncing Bounsweets (3) vs Icirrus City Impostors (5)

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability : WMAR vs Atha - Considering how crucial this week is for the bounsweets, this change in lineup is just weird to me. Both players have done pretty well so far, with a record of 4-2 each, though Wmar didn't gain that record through playing this tier, unlike atha. Atha is a goat in this tier and has been playing it the entire tour while wmar's been playing snm for the entire tour up until this point. Because of that, and after seeing how wmar played his game vs derpy, I think atha is gonna staaab wmar into oblivion wing.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega : The Dragon Master vs fabwooloo - This might be one of those cases where having "master" in your name doesn't give you much credential. I haven't seen much of the dragon master play in general, and I hear he can be decent, but he's apparently not the greatest in omms. Joey on the other hand, despite the somewhat rough season, has definitely proven he has plenty of knowledge of the tier and can play it well. While I apologize for my lack of knowledge regarding this master of dragons, I'm gonna have to give it to joey, as he's an established snm player. Although, joey better have some fairy types ready or he might get destroyed by tdm's team of mono dragon, in which he has of course mastered using.
Bring 10 Pick 6 Random Battles w/ Dynamax : i want a lamp vs lvl100Blaziken - Lamp has the best record out of all randbats players in this tour with only 1 loss despite playing every single week, and while frags may be undefeated, he played only twice and one of his wins was to timer. Frags may be a good randbats player, but his skill in rands is but mere fragments to that of lamp. Basically, lamp's been playing all tour and thus has had better and more consistent showings, so I think he wins here.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6 /7/ 8 OU : Splash vs airfare - Happened. I didn't get to write this out but I was predicting splash cause he made more of a splash in ou, and airfare lost to charm last week.
CaMonotype : PA vs Expulso - Interesting match, and I think this has the potential to be close. Pa's been doing very well in camomono, having a record of 4-1 and even having beaten Jolly Togekiss (who currently has the best camomono record), with pretty consistent performances for the most part. On the other hand, Expulso may have only played this tier for the first time last week and lost, though it was against Jolly Togekiss who had a rillaboom while Expulso used mono ground, hard mu. Expulso is a great player overall, and based on last week's game, I definitely see potential for Expulso to do well in this tier. I wouldn't sleep on Expulso but after seeing how well pa has done, Expulso's gonna get stuck on poisonous glue here.
Gen 8 Doubles NU : Zoaw vs Drivetacos - This seems pretty close. Both players haven't done too well in tpp so far, being 1-3 and 1-2 respectively. They're both decent doubles players and normally I might have said zoaw here, but zoaw just hasn't lived up to how he did in blt (beating really solid mains). I believe Drivetacos is more of a doubles main than zoaw anyways, and I think his tour showings, apart from the week where he brought the wrong team, were a bit better than what we've seen from zoaw. This seems really even, and I wouldn't be surprised if zoaw wins, but I'll give it to the guy who's transporting tacos via vehicle that's manually driven. This is probably the closest match of this series, and could be a deciding game.
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes : Kate vs Fc - Hl match. This may be the biggest hl match of the week, and another game that could be a deciding one. If memory serves, fc is undefeated and perhaps the best player this pool has to offer. He just Frickin can't be beaten, or so I'd like to say but his oppo is almost certainly the second best in the pool, just below fc, so this should be very close. Although Fc is undefeated, Kate has also dominated so far, and like fc, has plenty of ag/ubers experience and prowess. This being as close as it is, I'm not Fully convinced Fc will win, but I'd say there's a Fair chance he will. Basically, I think Fc is just a BIT better than kate, and will probably win.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : Sificon vs Leru - 2 Trophies, 1 win. Leru has had an incredibly unfortunate tour so far, not even getting 1 win for each trophy. Sifi may actually have the better record here at 2-3, but those 2 wins aren't the best judges here. 1 win was vs axel in same six, in a game that axel had been winning the entire time until he choked majorly by forgetting how poltergeist works, and the other one was in a different tier vs someone who had no idea how to play it (shall not be mentioned). Overall, Leru is the better player and I believe he has more creative builds, so he should FINALLY get a number of wins equal to his number of trophies.

Full Moon Frosmoths (6) vs Deerling in the Franxx (2) (I imagine it'll be closer than this in the end)

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability : Akashi vs Ax - Similar case for wmar vs atha, except jeran didn't actually do well in snm. Ax has been doing quite well in this tour, starting out rough but coming back with a now 4-2 record, while jeran's just had an overall rough tour. Ax has quite a bit of omm experience and it shows in his performances, as he's been holding his own against mainers, while Jeran doesn't have as much experience and has been struggling against mainers those who are more experienced. Jeran's a great player who just never really found his element, so vs ax, he's next on the chopping block.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega : TectonicDestroyer vs DerpyBoi - Derpy's been playing snm all tour and has earned an impressive 4-2, while tect has played for half the tour so far and subsequently has exactly half of derpy's record at 2-1. While derpy's been winning against mainers and solid players, tect's performance last week alone was enough to warrant him being a real threat in this tier. To answer tect's question, yes, you showed me something really good last week, so good that I'm actually going to predict tect winning here, as I think he's the better player here and can be great when he wants to be. I wouldn't be surprised if derpy wins, but he'll probably lose because he's a bit too derpy.
Bring 10 Pick 6 Random Battles w/ Dynamax : Elgino10 vs saba - Hl match. You don't usually see randbats under the label of "Hl match", but this is kinda hype. The reason being that saba broke lamp's undefeated streak last week, while Elgino is generally very good in rands and has a lot of experience. Hard to say who wins here honestly, but I am slightly leaning someone. After last week, I can definitely see this going either way and iirc neither of them have played too much randbats in this tour up until the last 1 or 2 weeks, but I'm gonna give a slight edge to Elgino because I think he's more experienced in it. Saba's a good player but I mostly see him play non random tiers.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6 /7/ 8 OU : Stareal vs Vaboh - Hl match. A battle between 2 solid ou mains who are both in scl and have had underwhelming performances so far. Star is 3-3 and Vaboh is 2-3, although 2 of those losses actually came from randbats. Comparing their performances, star shines a bit more brightly in this tour than vaboh, having faced the better opponents too. Star has also played this tier all tour so I believe he's a bit more accustomed to no preview. I think this could be close, but with the reasons given, and the fact that star is a true member of the tours and tp community (since this is a tour for tp, its better for motivation and team spirit), I'll say he wins here, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if vaboh wins. Regardless, I expect a 3 game series.
CaMonotype : not a racist vs StitChuu - Happened. Although I was predicting not a racist to win here because he's generally the better player here, and he did win.
Gen 8 Doubles NU : Memoric vs Shadowmonstr7 - Now I said crunchman would be Memoric's toughest oppo but that match didn't happen :(. So now, shadow will be his toughest oppo yet. Shadow may be a solid and highly experienced doubles main, but Memoric is actually more of both those qualities and more. Memoric is the goat, and the goat is Memoric. And with that being said, Memoric should be able to stay undefeated for the entirety of preliminaries by taking this game. Memoric, more like "Meeeh-moric" (cause he's a goat).
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes : frostyicelad vs Lasen - Frosty has played 3 different tiers now and is currently 1-3, having gotten his only win in camomono. Lasen may not have played much for this tournament, and he may not have won both times he played but he's still a solid ubers/ag player. It's also good to keep in mind that the 2 times lasen played were against both of the 2 best players in this tier's pool (fc and kate). Because of that, I think lasen will lasen the burden of his teammates by winning this.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : 100%GXE vs cy - Interesting match. Cy had a rough first few weeks in camomono, but has been doing nicely so far in same six. In fact, cy is 3-3 with all of his losses being from camomono, and 2/3 wins from same six. However, gxe is 4-2, has been playing same six the entire tour. I also believe based on what I've seen that gxe is more creative/solid in the builder, and he's the better player, being the goat that he is. With playoffs on the line, I imagine gxe will do his best in this game and there isn't much that can stop gxe at his best. He should take this.

Bannedorus Therians (4) vs Postwick Pults (4) (it'd be nice if, like the celesteelas in blt, the bandos got a win before they're out, or even a tie)

Gen 8 STABmons + Almost Any Ability : RaJ.Shoot vs 23Gz - Ah yes, staaab main raj.shoot. Ok so 23Gz may be 3-3 rn but holy sh*t, I'll say it as many times as I need to, that game vs tnm last week was absolutely incredible, and I have no idea how he played almost perfectly vs the best staaab player in the tour, from the best team currently, with his team's chances of playoffs on his shoulders, that's a lot of pressure and to still play so well is just damn impressive. My synopsis being: 23Gz is a solid staaab main and played it all tour while raj hasn't played staaab once this tour. 23Gz will win, guy at least deserves to end on a positive note with a positive record.
Gen 8 STABmons + Mix and Mega : Instruct vs PociekMociek - I won't even question the lineups at this point, when you're out you just do whatever the frick you want. Instruct, having only played for 2 weeks so far and those 2 weeks being camomono, is being instructed to play snm vs a solid snm main who's been playing it the entire tour. Unfortunately, in most cases you can't simply be instructed to win vs a player you have a major disadvantage against, so I believe placu will win, even if that's not what the instructions say.
Update: INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWED, PLACU DEFEATED.
Bring 10 Pick 6 Random Battles w/ Dynamax : TheFranklin vs lph - Coincidentally, both players have only played same six so far and are 2 wins a piece, so I can't really judge them based off prowess in rands. However, when it comes to player skill, arce def has the edge here. Lph is technically undefeated with wins over gray and leru, both being really good players, but I believe both wins were due to hax. As rands heavily relies on luck, and seeing as lph has a lucky streak going... I would be surprised if he wins like that again, but I won't put faith in luck, and I'll say arce wins since he's the better player.
Best of 3 No Team Preview Gen 6 /7/ 8 OU : Crunchman vs Roginald Drud - So Crunch is undefeated... in doubles, and while drud is 1-2, he has shown that he can play ou well, especially given how close his series vs crying was last week. Crunch has been pretty active in tours room tours lately due to tlt quals so I wouldn't necessarily sleep on him just because he mains doubles, but I haven't really seen how good he is outside of doubles, so I'll say drud wins here.
CaMonotype : Mossy Sandwich vs Euphonos - Happened. Instructions unclear, the sandwich is filled with moss. Expected this and glad to see Euph went positive after not dominating as much as we probably thought he would.
Gen 8 Doubles NU : RICEMAN vs LTG - Ok so... Ltg plays doubles, Rice does not. Ltg isn't exactly the greatest doubles main, but being a doubles main at all, and since gen 7 at that is worth something. After watching rice play doubles the first time, idt I can possibly predict him to win here. So yeah, actual doubles main ltg will win. Rice is nice, but maybe what they say about "nice guys finishing last" is true, and that's why the bandos keep losing?
Gen 8 National Dex Ubers w/ No Obtainable Formes : 7u9i2 vs pannuracotta - Poor 7u9i2 may have one of the worst records in the tour, but he ain't winless anymore! That being said, pannu is actually 3-1 with his one loss not being from this tier, but same six vs tony. 7u9i2 has gotten unlucky quite a bit during this tour, and I believe he's still a good player capable of winning here, especially since pannu avoided facing most of the better players in this tier. However, I'm still gonna say pannu wins this, as he's managed to pick up 3 wins in this tier playing it only 3 times, while 7u9i2 has played this every single week and only won once...
Update: He did it folks! He got another win! I originally bolded pannu but 7u9i2 proved me wrong before I could post.
Gen 8 National Dex Same Six : Eggs vs Axelsior - Not that this match actually matters in the long run, but it seems like an interesting one. Axel hasn't done well so far, being 0-2 I think, which is unfortunate because he's a good player who I wish I got to see play more in this tour. While Eggs has been playing quite a few different tiers, and has done relatively well overall. From what I hear, Eggs actually plays nat dex and has apparently been playing same six too, so they have experience. Because of this, Axel's house will be getting egged, meaning the eggs will win in a match that I'd normally call eggciting (but unfortunately it doesn't matter).
