[SET COMMENTS]
Toxtricity is a phenomenal wallbreaker thanks to it having an incredible move combination in Overdrive and Boomburst that is further boosted by its ability Punk Rock, which is only resisted by a select few Pokemon, such as Palossand, Golurk, and Rhyperior. It can break past the former two with Snarl on a predicted switch in anyway. Toxtricity's typing also provides a respectable amount of defensive utility, allowing it to stay in on foes like Galarian Weezing, Cobalion, and Rotom-C to fire off a powerful attack. Sludge Bomb allows Toxtricity to OHKO Hatterene, even Assault Vest variants after Stealth Rock, and Sylveon at the cost of leaving it walled by Palossand and Golurk, but it can still fish for poison against these Ground-types. However, it is worth noting that the aforementioned Hatterene and Sylveon don't take a Choice Specs-boosted Boomburst very well, so Sludge Bomb should only be considered on teams that struggle to deal with them, particularly their Calm Mind variants. Volt Switch allows Toxtricity to take advantage of the number of switches it forces to generate momentum against foes like specially defensive Tyranitar and Umbreon.
Rotom-W, Noivern, and Keldeo can bring Toxtricity in safely against foes like Slowking and Roserade to wallbreak though them, but Toxtricity must be wary of the latter having Sleep Powder. Rotom-W and Keldeo can also pressure the Ground-types like Rhyperior and Golurk that give Toxtricity trouble, and the latter can also remove Umbreon. Rotom-W's Ground immunity is extremely valuable, as it lets it directly switch into and remove foes like Krookodile and the aforementioned Rhyperior. Keldeo notably appreciates Toxtricity being able to remove bulky Water-types like Mantine, which it is unable to get past. Late-game cleaners like Doublade and Mimikyu appreciate Toxtricity pressuring defensive walls such as Skarmory and Galarian Weezing and bringing foes into range of a boosted Shadow Sneak. Krookodile, Tyranitar, and Skarmory can provide entry hazard support to help wear down Toxtricity's checks. Krookodile and Tyranitar can also help remove the likes of Golurk and Palossand. In return, Toxtricity can check Cobalion and Rotom-C for them, with Krookodile also appreciating Toxtricity being able to remove Galarian Weezing and Skarmory for it. Skarmory is able to check Ground-types like Krookodile, Mamoswine, and Rhyperior that threaten to revenge kill Toxtricity, as well as providing Spikes support to wear down Rhyperior and specially defensive Tyranitar and put them into range of two Boombursts or Overdrives, respectively. Skarmory in turn greatly appreciates Toxtricity being able to check some Electric-types, like Rotom-C and Heliolisk, as well as its ability to ease checking certain Fighting-types like Cobalion.

[SET COMMENTS]
Toxtricity is a scary late-game cleaner that can easily spiral out of control if the opponent lacks a Pokemon capable of taking a boosted move and revenge killing it. Snarl allows Toxtricity to break through Palossand and Golurk, which otherwise wall it completely. However, if Snarl is used, all of Toxtricity's attacks will consume its Throat Spray, so it should ideally only come in when it is in an optimal position to clean late-game. Life Orb is an alternative option if the immediate power is appreciated, ensuring that Toxtricity can afford to wallbreak early-game. Drain Punch should be used alongside Life Orb to help Toxtricity break through Tyranitar more easily, and the recovery can potentially assist in keeping Toxtricity out of range from priority users like Lycanroc-D. Volt Switch can be used to allow Toxtricity to generate momentum and have an Electric-type attack that doesn't activate its Throat Spray. Sludge Bomb can be used to help Toxtricity break past Assault Vest Hatterene, which threatens to revenge kill it with Psychic; however, it isn't very useful outside of this matchup. If Toxtricity is using Drain Punch, then a Mild nature is preferred to not weaken its damage output; otherwise, a Modest nature should be used. A Timid nature is an option to be faster than Choice Scarf Keldeo and Mienshao, the most common Choice Scarf users in the tier. Sets using Drain Punch should use a Naive nature if seeking to outspeed them, and this is particularly important due to Mienshao's ability to more easily revenge kill Toxtricity with a Defense-lowering nature.
Wallbreakers like Obstagoon, Keldeo, Kyurem, and Lycanroc-D are integral to weaken foes into range of Toxtricity's coverage, as this set lacks the upfront power to OHKO foes like Noivern and Krookodile before the activation of its Throat Spray. These wallbreakers are also capable of removing walls to Toxtricity, such as Rhyperior, Tyranitar, and Golurk, which otherwise prevent it from sweeping. In return, Toxtricity can remove some of the walls they struggle with, like Slowking, Galarian Weezing, and Skarmory. Grimmsnarl can provide dual screens support to help Toxtricity set up a Shift Gear and activate its Throat Spray more easily. Krookodile can deal with most of Toxtricity's problematic checks such as Golurk, specially defensive Tyranitar, and Rhyperior, provide Stealth Rock support to wear down foes into range of Toxtricity's attacks, and give Toxtricity opportunities to set up more easily against Pokemon like Cobalion thanks to Intimidate.
