ORAS LC Trick Room or Treat peak 1680/3rd. GXE 88.1

Hello everyone, My name is Matt aka Blinkboy and I had been a fan of lc for some time but had never really found the time to build until a few months go. When talking to a friend he jokingly said I should make a trick room team. After doing a little research the common census was that the style had proved to be unviable. This didnt stop him from denying the fact, so I decided to just build one anyways.
This is a great team for low/mid laddering mainly because it does not require much prediction, just hit whats in front of you and watch it drop! the team peaked at 1680 until decay hit while I gave up most of my free time to PU in an attempt not to suck at blt, but thats a story for another day.
I normally just stuff around on the ladder whist watching tv but for the most part I tried my best when using this team

Troll Nut (Bronzor) @ Berry Juice
Ability: Levitate
Level: 5
EVs: 60 HP / 228 Def / 4 SpA / 148 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Hypnosis
- Trick Room
- Trick

While by no stretch of the imagination is this mon a great rocker , it is however fairly unique in that it is able to support the team with both rocks and tr. I run no offensive attack nor recycle because once i have set up rocks and tr this mon is either sacked to make way for power hitters or it spams hypnosis to allow for a free drop into clamperl or cubone. Trick gets rid of bulkier mons eviolite/berry juice and even abras sash if needed which in turn supports a sweep. Did i mention this mon also hits like a wet paper bag! Hypnosis is also used as a last resort to deny opposing threats from sweeping but remember acc is only 60 percent.

Pornygon (Porygon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Download
Level: 5
EVs: 156 HP / 36 Def / 240 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Tri Attack
- Psychic
- Trick Room
- Recover

Porygon is a great lc mon in general and thanks to its great bulk and reliable recovery it is able to set up tr to support others or its own sweep. Be mindfull of using tri attack unnecessarily late game under tr as a para on a threat may result in a counter sweep.

Sprit or swallow? (Spritzee) @ Eviolite
Ability: Aroma Veil
Level: 5
EVs: 212 HP / 196 Def / 12 SpA / 76 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Wish
- Trick Room
- Psychic/Hidden Power Fighting
- Moonblast

No protect because it mostly results in wasting a turn,Set up tr and wish pass to a hard hitter allowing for safe entry. Psychic is used to hit gastly and 2kho foongus on the switch if they have had eviolite knocked. Hp Fight on the other hand is for pawniard which can be a nuisance under tr.

Azarenkas ex (Mienfoo) @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Def / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Taunt

Ahh yes! the staple on any lc team! and as you can see the only mon with a positive speed nature. This is for a number of reasons, firstly i have no hazard removal and while not being too weak to rocks taunt is still valuable in allowing me to halt a stack. It also blocks foongus spore which allows for a free u-turn or knock . It allows for a bit of speed control out of tr whilst at the same time giving safe switch in to my sweepers with a slow u-turn under tr. Be mindfull that under tr an itemless mienfoo is no longer a pawniard switch.
cubone.gif
Cue the boning (Cubone) @ Thick Club
Ability: Battle Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 76 Def / 4 SpA / 116 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Bonemerang
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
- Fire Punch

Use under tr!The only thing stopping this monster from getting kills is a Bonemerang miss! Do not let Thick Club get knocked if at all possible. Not much to say about this guy hes pretty straight forward but its advisable to choose cubone over clamperl when your opponent has possible sturdy or sashes intact. goodbye abra!
clamp.gif

clitperl (Clamperl) @ DeepSeaTooth
Ability: Shell Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 76 HP / 76 Def / 248 SpA / 76 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 SpD
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Substitute

The Mvp! If you have to sack on of the two sweepers go with cubone because clamp cannot miss! Hp ground over grass as pointed out by fran17 to hit chinchou as well as skrelp. sub over shell smash because it allows you to avoid status and sucker punch,it's also handy If your opponent is switching around in an attempt to stall out tr.

Timburr- awkward speed tier, go Spritzee, also knocking it helps clamp ohko out of tr.
Snivy- Will sweep you if it gets a free drop out of tr and porygon/sprit arent healthy.
Gastly- struggle for switch ins!Keep porygon healthy.
Fletchling-SD overheat mind games, priority is tough for any tr team, thankfully this squad is rather bulcy inc sweepers.
Zigzagoon- priority and I have no ghost type, sets up on spritzee, zong and porygon after memento.
Ferroseed (annoyance with speed stat can hinder sweeps)

Hey there cool team, but I would use 0 IVs in speed on both Clamperl and Cubone; at the moment Cubone is slower then Foongus under TR, while Clamperl ties with it and this can be annoying ifyou're trying to sweep because a free Spore on your main sweepers can be a pain. Also something else that you might like is Hidden Power Ground instead of Grass on Clamperl; with HP Ground you still hit Chinchou, but you can also hit Skrelp which completely walls your set and can easily get a kill if it gets a free turn. You don't really need HP Grass for Tirtouga because with Surf and Stealth Rock up you OHKO every offensive version of it.

That's all, I hope my suggestions helped you, good luck with the team ^_^

Thank you very much fran17 , I will go ahead and make those changes! no hp grass for staryu sucks but I think its a fair trade off.0 Ivs completely slipped my mind, actually looking back on an eary edit of the team they actually had 0 ivs, I guess i just assumed they were correct.
