Pokemon: Walrein
Type:

BST: 110 / 80 / 110 / 95 / 110 / 65 | BST: 570 (+20 Def, +20 SpD)
Abilities: Drizzle / Ice Body / Slush Rush (HA)
New Moves: Slack Off, Scald, Freeze-Dry
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Bulky rain setter. 110 / 110 / 110 bulk with reliable recovery is solid, and it also gets Encore and Roar which can be used to deter set-up attackers and opposing bulky Pokemon. However, Water/Ice isn’t a great defensive typing, it can be fairly passive, and it is very slow.
Walrein @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald / Freeze-Dry
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Encore / Roar

Pokemon: Floatzel
Type:

BST: 85 / 115 / 85 / 85 / 80 / 120 | BST: 570 (+10 Atk, +30 Def, +30 SpD, +5 Spe)
Abilities: Swift Swim / Water Veil (HA)
New Moves: Extreme Speed, Swords Dance, Fake Out
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Swords Dance sweeper and priority abuser. STAB Aqua Jet and Extreme Speed are its main moves, with potential use of Fake Out for the chip. Swift Swim can be used on rain teams, which also boosts Aqua Jet’s power. Water Veil is usually overlooked for better abilities but prevents burn status from ruining its sweep. Floatzel has high speed and good attack but a shallw movepool that makes it quite predictable.
Floatzel @ Life Orb
Ability: Water Veil / Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Extreme Speed
- Liqudation / Ice Punch
- Swords Dance

Pokemon: Bruxish
Type:

BST: 80 / 115 / 80 / 115 / 80 / 100 | BST: 570 (+12 HP, +10 Atk, +10 Def, +45 SpA, +10 SpD, +8 Spe)
Abilities: Dazzling / Strong Jaw / Wonder Skin (HA)
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Psyshock, Hydro Pump
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Mixed sweeper (Swords Dance/Nasty Plot). Bruxish has a solid speed tier with even offenses, and it has just enough options to go physical or special. Strong Jaw is best used on physical sets where STAB Psychic Fangs becomes even stronger and Ice Fang becomes a viable coverage move.
Physical (Bruxish) @ Life Orb
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Liquidation
- Psychic Fangs
- Ice Fang
- Swords Dance

Special (Bruxish) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dazzling
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Psychic / Psyshock
- Ice Beam
- Nasty Plot

Pokemon: Huntail
Type:

BST: 80 / 120 / 120 / 94 / 75 / 81 | BST: 570 (+25 HP, +16 Atk, +15 Def, +29 Spe)
Abilities: Swift Swim / Intimidate (HA)
New Moves: Spirit Shackle, Shadow Sneak, Recover
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Coil sweeper and physical tank. Intimidate weakens physical attackers to accentuate its physical tankiness, together with the defense boosts gained with Coil. Its last moveslot can be varied, with Shadow Sneak providing some priority, Super Fang helping with breaking bulky Pokemon, and Recover being reliable recovery so it can last longer.
Huntail @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Tail
- Spirit Shackle
- Coil
- Shadow Sneak / Super Fang / Recover

Pokemon: Bibarel
Type:

BST: 129 / 105 / 70 / 65 / 90 / 91| BST: 550 (+50 HP, +20 Atk, +10 Def, +10 SpA, +30 SpD, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Simple / Unaware / Stamina
New Moves: Extreme Speed, Slack Off, Earthquake
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: The original Water/Normal type shall not be forsaken! Bibarel gets a massive tuneup where bulk is concerned, and gets access to shiny new tools in Extreme Speed and Earthquake to crank up the offensive potential. Simple SD gets pretty strong pretty fast, while Curse sets trade instant power for sustainability. Stamina is a cool addition as well, being a not annoying, specialized Moody that turns it into a wall that makes (everyone cry)

Pokemon: Jellicent
Type:

BST: 130 / 60 / 90 / 95 / 105 / 70 | BST: 550 (+30 HP, +20 Def, +10 SpA, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Water Absorb / Cursed Body / Filter
New Moves: Moonblast, Nasty Plot, Haze
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification / Niche: Jellicent is now a fat boi. 130/90/105 defenses make this ghost hard to take down, and with Nasty Plot it can pull a surprise offensive set.

Pokemon: Cloyster
Type:

BST: 50 / 115 / 180 / 95 / 45 / 85 | BST: 570 (+20 Atk, +10 SpA, +15 Spe)
Abilities: Skill Link / Refrigerate / Slush Rush
New Moves: Water Shuriken, Bullet Seed, Crab Hammer
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification / Niche: Cloyster is a potent offensive threat thanks to Shell Smash. Skill Link Icicle Crash + Bullet Seed leaves little in terms of credible switchins, and the few that do come in face STAB Crab Hammer. Refrigerate sets can also go the SS route, but they can just as easily run Spike stacking sets, with a nuclear Explosion to go with a bang.

Pokemon: Primarina
Type:

BST: 84 / 94 / 74 / 126 / 76 / 116 | BST: 570 ( +4 HP, +20 Atk, -40 SpD, +56 Spe )
Abilities: Torrent / Refrigerate
New Moves: Calm Mind, Freeze Dry, U-turn
Removed Moves: Moonblast
Justification / Niche: Ice types are at their best with a fast offensive build. Primarina has a very nice STAB combo of Hyper Voice, Hydro Pump, and Freeze Dry, giving it superb coverage with just STAB moves. Calm Mind, U-turn, and Hidden Power are nice options for the last move slot.

Pokemon: Omastar
Type: Water/Ghost
BST: 85 / 60 / 125 / 120 / 125 / 55 | BST: 570
Abilities
: Swift Swim / Regenerator / Prankster
New Moves: Water Shuriken, Shadow Ball, Hex
Justification/Niche: Ancient zombie sea creature with mixed defenses. It will be a monster in rain, but otherwise it can function outside rain, although it will be slower than Jellicent and lacks reliable recovery (Regenerator is an option but you'll have to switch out and remove any boosts). That said, it has some interesting tools- you can sacrifice your tanking abilities with Shell Smash, or be a hazard setter with Prankster Spikes/SR/Toxic Spikes (and can be used in combination with Hex). It can also use Prankster Haze as an emergency check against setup sweepers. Water Shuriken is well....because its star-shaped and is a tool to bypass low speed, although damage will vary.

Prankster + Shell Smash could be a thing, but I don't think it's the wisest combo as the drop in Defenses is preferred when you move second. I'm so tempted to give it Skill Link but that might be obnoxious with Shell Smash + Water Shuriken Otherwise, Dark types are a great counter especially for Prankster Lead sets. Pursuit sets will also decimate any Omastars that want to run away/try to activate Regenerator.

And now voting begins!

Use this template and try to have a vote for each one so we have less tiebreakers. Reminder that you can't vote for yourself.

Water/Ice: Someone's Pokemon
Water/Normal: Someone's Pokemon
Water/Psychic: Someone's Pokemon
Water/Ghost: Someone's Pokemon

And you can also vote for the next slates type which will be Steel

Type 1 / Type 2 / Type 3 / Type 4

Types already used are Rock, Ghost, Poison, Normal, Ghost and Dragon. Also Ice/Steel will definitely be on the next slate so I'll be counting the 3 with the most votes.

Water/Psychic: Origin0's Bruxish
Water/Ghost: G-Luke’s Jellicent

Alright, voting is over!

Congratulations to G-Luke's Water/Ice Cloyster!

That said we have 3 tiebreakers:

1.) Water/Normal between Solarblade's Basculin and Origin0's Floatzel
2.) Water/Psychic between Solarblade's Golduck and Origin0's Bruxish
3.) Water/Ghost between Origin0's Huntail and G-Luke's Jellicent

So 24 hour tiebreaker for those.

As for the next slate:

Steel/Ice, Steel/Water, Steel/Dark, Steel/Fighting
Submissions close at the 22nd of September

Crap I wanted scoopapas primarina to win, I guess there's always next time for u primarina :(

For tier breakers I vote Solarblades Basculin, Solarblades Golduck and G-Lukes Jellicent

Pokemon: Avalugg
Type:

BST: 95 / 125 / 184 / 44 / 94 / 28 | BST: 570 (+8 Atk, +48 SpD)
Abilities: Filter / Refrigerate / Sturdy (HA)
New Moves: Icicle Crash, Explosion, Stealth Rock
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Either can be a suicide lead with Stealth Rock and Refrigerate Explosion or a bulky attacker with access to moves like Curse, Gyro Ball, Icicle Crash, Earthquake, Recover, and Rapid Spin. Steel/Ice is a terrible defensive typing so its apparent bulk may be underwhelming, even with Filter, but its Gyro Ball can hit pretty hard off its very low speed.

Pokemon: Empoleon
Type:

BST: 84 / 86 / 98 / 111 / 131 / 60 | BST: 570 (+10 Def, +30 SpD)
Abilities: Torrent / Drizzle (HA)
New Moves: Calm Mind, King’s Shield, Slack Off
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Rain setter with high bulk, especially on the special side. King’s Shield can punish physical attackers aiming at its lower physical bulk, it can set up with Calm Mind, and Slack Off provides reliable recovery.

Pokemon: Stakataka
Type:

BST: 79 / 131 / 191 / 53 / 103 / 13 | BST: 570 (+18 HP, -20 Def, +2 SpD)
Abilities: Beast Boost
New Moves: Throat Chop, Pursuit, Parting Shot
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Physical sweeper and Pursuit trapper, its stats can be EV’d to boost its Attack after a KO. Gyro Ball still hits like a truck, and it can switch out with Parting Shot when need be.

Pokemon: Cobalion
Type:

BST: 91 / 102 / 129 / 65 / 72 / 111 | BST: 570 (+12 Atk, -25 SpA, +3 Spe)
Abilities: Justified / Defiant (HA)
New Moves: U-turn, Bullet Punch, Drain Punch
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Swords Dance sweeper, physical tank, and pivot. Defiant allows it to discourage Intimidate and Defog users. Bullet Punch provides some priority while Drain Punch provides some recovery. U-turn can be used to switch out against Ground-types and other Electric-immune Pokemon which block Volt Switch.

Hey, this pet mod looks pretty cool! I think I'll join.

Pokemon: Kabutops
Type: Rock/Water => Steel/Water
Abilities: Swift Swim, Sheer Force, Technician
HP
: 60
Atk: 115 => 140 (+25)
Def: 105 => 115 (+10)
SpA: 65
SpD: 70 => 105 (+35)
Spe: 80 => 85 (+5)
New Moves: Iron Head, Bullet Punch, Earthquake
Description:
Many of rain's best abusers (Swampert, Greninja, Koko) either struggle with breaking grass types, and/or get slaughtered by them. With these improvements to Kabutops, it's now able to take a grass move or two (from anything other than Bulu), and fire off powerful Iron Heads. Kabutops also has uses outside of Swift Swim, With Sheer Force boosting its most powerful STABS (In Liquidation and Iron Head), and technician boosting STAB priority moves in Aqua Jet and Bullet Punch.

Solarblade's Basculin
Origin0's Bruxish
Origin0's Huntail

bisharp.gif

Pokemon: Bisharp
Type:
Dark.png
Steel.png

BST: 90 / 130 / 120 / 60 / 80 / 90 | BST: 570
Abilities
: Merciless / Defiant (Rough Skin)
New Moves: Meteor Mash, Close Combat, Ice Punch
Justification/Niche: Remember when Bisharp + Deoxys was the scourge of OU? Well, this buff won't quite put Bisharp at that level again, but it will put it back into some relevance. Bisharp has three main flaws - it's frail, slow and has weak Steel STAB. He now has admirable 90/120/80 bulk, his speed is once again at the lower end of acceptable for an offensive pokemon, and Meteor Mash is a step up from Iron Head. Close Combat is useful on all out attacking sets for nailing Steels and other Dark types hard, while Ice Punch is useful for 1 shotting Landorus and Zygarde. Merciless is a cool alternative to Defiant that let's Bisharp take advantage of Toxic Spikes teams and become a terrifying wallbreaker.

empoleon.gif

Pokemon: Empoleon
Type:
Water.png
Steel.png

BST: 90 / 65 / 85 / 120 / 130 / 80 | BST: 570
Abilities
: Slush Rush / Competitive / Heatproof
New Moves: Roost
Justification/Niche: The bird OU needed but not the one it deserved. Finally, Empoleon gets it's time in the limelight. Empoleon's stats are buffed to be more serviceable, with outstanding special bulk and better speed. It has three amazing abilities - Slush Rush gives hail teams a non ice type abuser, Heatproof gives Empoleon a Fire resistance so it can better act as a traditional Water type, while also halfing burn damage, and Competitive does what Defiant was trying to do - it abuses Defogs and Intimidates to give an instant boost in power. Roost is the only move Empoleon ever wanted, and it's the one it gets. Having reliable recovery frees up Emp's item slot - resist berries in particular are incredibly potent, allowing Emp to take one ground, fighting, or electric hit and retaliate back with a STAB move.

machamp.gif

Pokemon: Machamp
Type:
Fighting.png
Steel.png

BST: 85 / 135 / 120 / 60 / 80 / 90 | BST: 570
Abilities
: Guts / No Guard (Stamina)
New Moves: Meteor Mash
Justification/Niche: Machamp finally gets something to differentiate itself from Conkeldurr - new STAB and a unique ability in Stamina. Machamp is powerful, bulky, and hits an acceptable speed tier, and it's primary ability Guts allows it to becomes a terrifying wallbreaker - it's Facade 2HKOs Toxapex as well as Scarf Lando, and it's Bullet Punch hits Koko for a cool 44 - 52%. Stamina could have niche use, but unlike Conkeldurr, Machamp has no way to regain health besides Rest or an item slot, so regardless of it's ability it will likely always be racking up damage.

1537319979293.png

Pokemon: Jirachi
Type:
Steel.png
1537319939371.png

BST: 65 / 125 / 70 / 125 / 70 / 115 | BST: 570
Abilities
: Serene Grace (Levitate)
New Moves: Ice Beam, Earth Power, Icicle Crash
Justification:Yeah there's not really a justification here. Its a weird type, but I suppose its better offensively than Steel / Psychic.
Niche: This typing certainly wont be winning any awards for Defensive Type of the Year, so I made Jirachi an offensive powerhouse. Serene Grace serves it well as both of its physical STABs have a 30% flinch rate, while U-turn and the elemental punches pick up the slack for coverage. Specially, Ice Beam + Earth Power is fantastic coverage by itself, and HP Fire or Thunder can hit Waters and Ground-neutral Steels. Calm Mind into a Z move can also prove devastating for mons that rely on sheer bulk to take hits.

Im gonna try to bring down an uber i so very love

Typing: Dark/Steel
Abilities: Levitate, Bulletproof (HA)
Stats: 80 (+20) / 120 (+70) / 120 (-30) / 60 (+10) / 120 (-30) / 70 (+10)
New moves: Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Recover
Removed moves: King Shield
Justification: it looks evil
Niche: basically walls every special psychic and fairy like aegislash did thanks to bulletproof giving it immunity to focus blast/aura sphere, it could also trap psychics with pursuit. Or u can go the annoying route and wall ground types using levitate

On the other hand it can run a sd set similarly to doubllade thanks to fighting/dark/steel coverage being good
Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof / Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off / Sucker Punch
- Sacred Sword
- Recover
- Pursuit / Toxic / Swords Dance

Typing: Fighting/Steel
Abilities: Dazzling, Regenerator, Reckless (HA)
Stats: 75 (+10) / 125 / 75 (+15) / 95 / 75 (+15) / 125 (+20)
New moves: Meteor Mash, Stealth Rocks, Parting Shot
Niche: i was influenced by kerfluffle from cap so whats a better user to abuse parting shot than the dazzling mienshao. Has a nice typing to pivot on moves and regen pivot out, Meteor mash to hit the pesky fairies, stealth rocks is cool for a offensive pivot and parting shot is for pivoting
Mienshao @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Dazzling
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Meteor Mash
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off

Mienshao @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator

Pokemon: Tauros
Type: Steel/Dark
BST:
105 / 125 / 120 / 40 / 70 / 110 | 570 BST
Abilities:
Stamina / Defiant / Rattled
New Moves: Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Horn Leech
Niche: Fast, physically bulky mon. Get hit by the right moves and you can get a boost. Stamina makes it bulkier the more it gets hit and can pair well with Assault Vest. Resistances to Dark/Ghost and neutrality to U-turn means you can get a Speed boost with Rattled when timed right. Its access to Pursuit makes it a great Psychic/Ghost trapper. Defiant works as well as Bisharp's- although Bisharp has access to Swords Dance while Tauros has speed. It also has Earthquake to hit other Steel types while Horn Leech has some synergy with Stamina and also allows you to hit Ground type switch-ins effectively.

Pokemon: Hitmonchan
Type: Steel/Fighting
BST:
70 / 125 / 110 / 35 / 110 / 120 | 570 BST
Abilities:
Iron Fist / Scrappy / Contrary
New Moves: Knock Off, Meteor Mash, Shadow Punch
Niche: Wow Hitmonchan sure had some weird stat distributions, but now he has a chance to shine! You can go Iron Fist for elemental punch coverage- plus Bullet Punch now has STAB. Meteor Mash is also added if you want a strong Steel STAB with the Iron Fist boost while Shadow Punch is to hit Psychic/Ghost types wanting to switch on a Fighting move. Scrappy is useful for moves like Fake Out, Rapid Spin and Close Combat. Speaking of Close Combat, Contrary is an option as Steel/Fighting has some nice resistances, so boosting Def/Sp Def with each Close Combat makes it quite a bulky duelist. Despite the 110/110 Def and Sp Def stat, 70 HP is still kind of low so Contrary Close Combat can help patch this up and if you're lucky, Intimidate can give you a needed Atk boost.

Pokemon: Wailord
Type: Steel/Water
BST:
170 / 100 / 85 / 100 / 85 / 30 | 570 BST
Abilities:
Water Veil / Oblivious / Analytic
New Moves: Gyro Ball, Slack Off, Trick Room
Niche: Look at those resistances. Now, look at that HP. This is one defensive behemoth if you play to its strengths. Slack Off is necessary recovery while Gyro Ball gives it a Steel STAB move that plays to its even lower Speed. Taking advantage of its lower speed is the way to go for this creature- it now has Trick Room to take advantage of this, and to have a Trick Roomer that is not weak to Dark/Ghost.

Curse + Analytic + Gyro Ball is sure to hit hard against speedy opponents, as well as giving other moves like Scald and Earthquake a little boost. With the Steel type, it is now immune to Toxic and if you opt for Water Veil, it can be a great status absorber and have no worries using Curse (and it likes the Paralysis speed drop as well). Worried about Taunt ruining your Curse/Trick Room strategy? Oblivious is another option to bypass Taunt- and it will also help with pseudohazing with Roar.

Pokemon: Absol
Type: Steel/Ice
BST:
75 / 100 / 75 / 130 / 75 / 115 | 570 BST
Abilities:
Sheer Force / Slush Rush / Technician
New Moves: Flash Cannon, Ice Shard, Bullet Punch
Niche: It can be found in snowy areas with blizzard/hail, and the scythe-shaped horn reminds me of something metallic. With a fragile typing that makes it super vulnerable to Fighting and Fire attacks, offence is the way to go with this Absol. It has a nice special move pool so it can actually make use of Ice Beam with STAB. If you're going for a Slush Rush build, then a 130 Sp Atk Blizzard will hurt and it has the offensive stats to actually make Hail scary in terms of offence. Plus, it has access to Thunderbolt and Fire Blast.

Sheer Force is just pure offence to hit hard before you go with those poor defensive stats. Technician brings a few options- you can go for boosted Hidden Power coverage (Ground/Fighting), or also go with a mixed build option- using Ice Shard/Bullet Punch to pick apart low health enemies. While its Atk is lower, it is still a respectable 100 and can use this to not be completely walled by dedicated special walls like certain pink blobs (and even then, it has Superpower). The nice thing about Bullet Punch/Ice Shard is no type is immune to those STAB options, so it has the chance to fight back before a super effective move dares to destroy its poor defenses.
