U-Switch Team

Hey guys, I wanted to make a new team from scratch that would really annoy my opponents, and allow me to "offensively stall" them. With fast U-Turners and Volt Switchers, causing them to switch to appropriate counters, they would take entry hazard damage while I hack away at their life with U-Turn and Volt Switch. This team has many flaws, and in fact is the main reason I'm even posting it up here. So I hope you enjoy my team and please post any criticism on it!

Leftovers

Trait: Levitate

EVs: 136 HP / 120 Atk / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

- U-turn

- Stealth Rock

- Taunt

- Zen Headbutt

So Azelf is my lead, and he was the first thing that popped in my head when I was thinking of a lead. I gave it some bulk so it can survive a hit and setup Stealth Rocks as insurance in case I mis-predict and decide to Taunt when they will attack. Zen Headbutt was my attacking move of choice because it gets STAB, and making use of Azelf's speed, I may be able to get some flinch-hax.

Leftovers

Trait: Levitate

EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SAtk

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Volt Switch

- Hydro Pump

- Will-O-Wisp

- Hex

I have a fairly bad weakness to fire on my team, so Rotom was my next choice because it is bulky enough to eat fire attacks, special and physical due to my EV spread. I am very iffy on Hex and am willing to change it, but it's mainly for unsuspecting Ghost types that come in, which doesn't frequently happen.

Choice Band

Trait: Technician

EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Def

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- U-turn

- Pursuit

- Superpower

- Bullet Punch

This fella, if you can't tell, is my favorite Pokemon ever. Even if I was making a hail stall team he'd be on it. He is my Psychic trapper, and late game sweeper. Most things are usually damaged pretty bad when it comes near the end of the game (unless I really misplayed), so a Bullet Punch onslaught coupled with entry hazard damage takes out mostly everything at the very end.

Leftovers

Trait: Sturdy

EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef

Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)

- Rapid Spin

- Volt Switch

- Spikes

- Gyro Ball

Forry's role is my wall. His EV spread is a bit shabby, since I balanced it out like this it can take a mediocre Physical and Special hit, but attacks it should normally wall, it gets nailed by a lot harder, so I gave up specialized wallage for balanced, which may not be the best idea. Other than that, he sets up Spikes just to add on another thing the opponent should worry about, and spins off unwanted entry hazards on my side, since it would severely hinder my strategy.

Choice Scarf

Trait: Inner Focus

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- U-turn

- Hi Jump Kick

- Stone Edge

- Payback

Mienshao is what I like to think of as my glue to the team. It can outspeed everything dangerous and knock them to hell. It also outspeeds and OHKO's Scarf Darmanitan, who otherwise would annihilate my team.

Leftovers

Trait: Prankster

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Thunder Wave

- Volt Switch

- Focus Blast

- Hidden Power [Ice]

Thundurus is my status inducer and second Volt Switcher should anything happen to Rotom. It is also designated specifically to crush Gliscor with HP Ice who rips my team as well. Focus Blast is just for added coverage and overall it's a damn good move.

Hope you enjoyed, any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated (and needed). >.>

One, Hex is horrible without STAB, and Rotom can only threaten the fairly uncommon Dusclops with it since Gengar is hurt pretty badly by Hydro Pump. Secondly, Payback is useless on Mienshao as it's only a 50 BP unSTABd dark move most of the time.Fake Out is a better option to use as it provides free damage on Turn One.

How is fake out good on a scarfed set? I agree that payback is useless on a fast pokemon though, but I think you should replace it with HP ice to surprise gliscor and landorus... Doing this with a hasty nature and 4 EV's into special attack can even OHKO them most of the time...

I am not impressed of your team, it is to offensive imo. With U-Turn/Volt Switch you switch to a Pokemon that can resist a move you predict. A Pokemon that can take a hit and can abuse U-Turn good that you don't use is Gliscor. It's bulky and can take a hit.

I also would switch Thundurus for Zapdos for some more bulk.

Another Pokemon that can use U-Turn good is Whimsicott. Whimsicott would fit good in this team, because you want to annoy.

Alright making the changes soon and trying them out.

Thanks everyone!

I also had Whimsicott before, but it is pure Taunt-bait, unless its set would be Taunt, Subseed, U-Turn. Also I needed a Rapid Spinner since entry hazards were killing me.

What would I replace Gliscor with? D:

---------------------------------------------------------

Made the changes, switched out Thundurus for Zapdos, and Gliscor for Mienshao, and I don't know, it seems just about everything I've run into is ready to destroy Gliscor.

I like Zapdos over Thundurus for sure though, a lot more bulky, and I'm running a specially defensive set since my Forretress is complete physical bulkiness.

I'm iffy about Glis. I might try out ToxiStall set with U-Turn just to see how it goes. Protect can also help me scout for unexpected Ice Beams coming his way as well so Rotom can swallow it up.
