Pet Mod Ubermons: Gen 9 NatDex - Slate 4: Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Terastalization)

Congrats to chemicalmines for winning Deoxys!

Movepool Changes: +Foul Play, Body Press, -Zap Cannon, Dynamic Punch, Extreme Speed, Nasty Plot
Psycho Boost:
Psychic
Special
| 130 BP, 90 Acc, 8 PP | Lowers the user's Sp. Atk by 2.
Description: all of the deoxys are given new abilities to stand out from each other. espeed was removed and psycho boost was nerfed to prevent the deos from being broken.
> deo has a more balanced statspread that lends itself to being a sweeper despite losing np. deo now has infiltrator to bypass screens and subs from stuff like primarina
> atk deo is slower and frailer by comparison but has hefty attack stats in return. no guard notably makes psycho boost 100% acc as well as other strong moves like thunder and focus blast. the loss of zap cannon + dynamic punch makes no guard not obnoxious
> def deo gains thick fat to give it more meaningful resistances. foul play + BP give def deo better attacks that aren't based off its low atk stats
> spe deo becomes a bit slower and weaker in exchange for more defense. aftermath is most beneficial for lead sets to get an extra 25% in chip.

Now, I wanna move away from Pokemon and focus more on other elements like abilities, moves and items. Before this however, I wanna cover Terastalization, since it will play a huge part in balancing upcoming Pokemon.

Slate 4: Shine On You Crazy Diamond
:sv/ogerpon::sv/terapagos-terastal:

Here are the restrictions:
- Must change the Pokemon's type. You are not allowed to make it a completely different ability.
- You can change damage multipliers. (i.e. STAB boosts, vanilla STABs, etc.)
- You are allowed to change the mechanics of Stellar.
- You can change Terapagos-Stellar. It has to have a BST of 700. Tera Starstorm and Terafrom Zero can also be changed.
- You can change Embody Aspect for Ogerpon, but no changes to typing or stats of Ogerpon.

Submissions last for 7 days!
Have Fun!

Tera
- When you tera, you add the type you are teraing into as a third (or second for pure typed mons) typing, keeping your original types.
- If you Tera into a typing you already are, you remove any other type you may have and remain the type you teraed into.
- Regular Tera doesn't give any other boosts to moves, just adding the typing and keeping the original typing, including same type tera.
- Stellar adds the Stellar typing to the Pokemon like normal Tera would. Stellar moves are super effective on Teraed Pokemon. If Tera Stellared, its non-STAB moves deal 1.3x damage once per switch in.
- Tera Blast becomes 60 bp. If Tera Stellar, becomes 80 bp and doesn't lower Att or SpA.
- Terapagos-Stellar becomes pure Stellar-type.
- Tera Starstorm has 90% accuracy.
- Embody Aspect changes to (If this Pokemon has its stats lowered by the opposing Pokemon, raises its Spe/SpD/Att/Def by 2. Teal/Wellspring/Hearthflame/Cornerstone.)

Terastylization in action, let's see what we can do with it.

Concept: The Pokemon becomes its new Tera type. It's primary and secondary types are replaced with the Tera type.

This Pokemon's STAB bonus on its Tera type becomes 1.5x, while its other types are reduced to 1.25x. If a Pokemon Teras into one of its types, that STAB bonus becomes 1.75x.
(If a Pokemon has Adaptability and Terastylizes, its Tera type gets a 2x STAB boost while its other types remain at 1.5x. If the Adaptability Pokemon's Tera type is the same as one of its existing types, that bonus becomes 2.25x)

A Pokemon that gains the Stellar Tera type retains its Primary and Secondary typing, but gains the Adaptability boost on its STAB moves the first time they are used, meaning the first move used of each STAB type does 4/3 the usual damage (this effect resets upon switching out). Its other moves, including Tera Blast (which is now the Stellar type) only get a 1.25x boost the first time a move of that type is used. Stellar Tera Blast is considered Super Effective against opposing Terastylized Pokemon, but is considered Not Very Effective against Pokemon who have not. The move has no secondary effect. (This Stellar type chart also applies to Tera Starstorm from a Terastylized Terapagos).

[Tera maintains the function that allows moves of the Tera type with a BP of less than 60 (not counting multihit moves) to have their active BP increased to 60]

:ogerpon: :ogerpon-wellspring: :ogerpon-cornerstone: :ogerpon-hearthflame:
Embody Aspect applies a stat change to Ogerpon upon Terastylizing. However, the Pokemon still retains the effect of its base ability.
For each stat increase the Pokemon gets, they also get a stat decrease:
:ogerpon: Speed increases by one stage, Attack decreases by one stage. (Effects of Defiant persist)
:ogerpon-wellspring: Special Defense increases by one stage, Defense decreases by one stage (Effects of Water Absorb persist)
:ogerpon-cornerstone: Defense increases by one stage, Special Defense decreases by one stage (Effects of Sturdy persist)
:ogerpon-hearthflame: Attack increases by one stage, Speed decreases by one stage (Effects of Mold Breaker persist)

:terapagos-stellar:
New stat spread: 95 / 110 / 150 / 120 / 150 / 75
This Pokemon is already weakened quite a bit by the changes to the Stellar type above, which should help keep it in check. With the change to the stat spread of Terapagos-Stellar resulting in no change to its base HP, this should be more manageable and not be a Zygarde-Complete situation.

Tera

- Now, you need an item in order to Tera (similar to Tera Shard from Vaporemons).
- A Pokemon will lose its old STABs but will gain the new STAB.
- You are limited to one Tera Shard at the same time.
- Stellar type works the same as before.
- Embody Aspect now don't give a +1 Atk/Def/SpD/Spe but will instead multiply the stat by x1.2 (or 1.5 in Ogerpon's case, I don't want any x1.2 Speed or whatever, and there is a precedent).
- Terapagos-Stellar remains the same, but need to have the Tera Shard in order to Tera.

Should be good?

Just fixing the ogers rq

Swap :sv/ogerpon-hearthflame: and :sv/ogerpon-cornerstone: 's Embody Aspects please
Thats all so far, might add more later but this pretty much fixes all their issues

Sorry for the wait, but I was full with schedules and I was thinking about the subs, but they should be alright.

Voting lasts for 3 days. Good Luck! Side note: Since Jrdyop just suggested swichting around Cornerstone and Hearthflame abilities, this only applies to PalpitoadChamp's submission. Thus in case PalpitoadChamp's sub wins, there will be a second vote on Jrdyop's Sub. For now vote for: PalpitoadChamp, PQRDG and Lysion.

Role in question: 1st preferred option, 2nd preferred option, 3rd preferred option.
Note: These self voting rules and the explanation are from good user lyd, slightly adapted to fit this pet mod
If you want to vote for yourself now, it gets slightly more complicated. You can always keep voting for yourself as second, but you can change the order a bit, for as long as the number of self-votes equals 2x the number of submissions you made. Let's use some examples to make it more understandable:

Stallbreaker: Yoshiblaze, Lyd, Ludicrousity
Special Wall: Ludicrousity, Lyd, Yoshiblaze
Defensive Pivot: Ludicrousity, Lyd, Yoshiblaze

So this voting format is good, cuz' Lyd voted for himself as second three times, and when you add everything up, he gave himself 6 votes, which is fine, as it is exactly the number of submissions he made for the slate x2. However, say he liked his Stallbreaker submission a lot, and he really wants it to win, he can play around with his votes a little bit:

Stallbreaker: Lyd, Yoshiblaze, Ludicrousity
Special Wall: Ludicrousity, Lyd, Yoshiblaze
Defensive Pivot: Ludicrousity, Yoshiblaze, Lyd

So to make his Stallbreaker first vote, he moved his Defensive Pivot self-vote to last. Makes sense, right? And when you add up the votes, 3 + 2 + 1 = 6 which is exactly what he wants. Let's say that he likes his Special Wall and Defensive Pivot submissions more, and he didn't like his Stallbreaker submission too much. He can do this:

Stallbreaker: Yoshiblaze, Ludicrousity, G-Luke
Special Wall: Lyd, Ludicrousity, Yoshiblaze
Defensive Pivot: Lyd, Ludicrousity, Yoshiblaze

3 + 3 adds up to six, so he's good to that. Small note that this can't be done if he made no Stallbreaker submission because if that was the case, the number of submissions he made x2 would actually end up as 4, which isn't enough. Also, had he only made a single submission, he'd always have to self-vote as #2 or lower because making only one submission gives him only two self-vote points. We hope that was clear, if you had any trouble to understand this, feel free to PM anyone from the council and we'll explain it as best as we can.
