Koraidon adaptiert gegen neuen Gefahren, durch die Kombination aus Swords Dance und Life Orb, die es ihm erlaubt ein furchterregender Wallbreaker mit Close Combat und einen, durch Sonnenlicht unterstützten, Flareblitz zu sein, der Gegner wie defensive Arceus-Fairy mit einem Schlag besiegen kann. Dank Scale Shot kann Koraidon seine Initiative erhöhen und Ho-Oh als Chance nutzen sich selbst zu boosten. Life Orb-Koraidon findet sich in allen offensive Teamstrukturen, gepaart mit Extreme Killer-Arceus, Calm Mind-Lunala, and Zacian-C, die gemeinsam defensive Checks wie Arceus-Fairy ind Ho-Oh niederringen. Diese Partner helfen auch mit den bulkigen Drachen-Typen Giratina-O und Eternatus, die sonst eine Gefahr für das Scale Shot-Set darstellen. Man kann dieses Set auch an der Seite von Choice Scarf- Ditto oder Landorus-T finden, da beide die Geschwindigkeitskontrolle haben, die sonst von Choice Scarf-Koraidon geliefert werden würde.
