re: GSC and 10 slot UPL

After extensive discussion between the Ubers moderation team, hosts, and others in public channels it was determined that UPL IX would be an excellent opportunity to add GSC and that a 10 slot UPL would make for the best tour. GSC has seen multiple tours over the last year and the recent GSC PL has also brought further attention to its Uber format. There are also enough high-level GSC tour players that expressed interest via polls as well as interest from Ubers mains to support the slot in this tournament. GSC is also a comparatively novel metagame to pickup and will further help diversify our tournament playerbase and incentive managers to consider a wider range of players. With the inclusion of GSC also comes another slot for our current generation SS. With Ubers gearing up to return to officials there will be increased interest from a wider tournament community, and this change seeks to accommodate the need for a competitive and continually growing playerbase.

DaReal Drizzlers have traded the retention rights of Holy Ghost to the Dangerous Dracovish for 3,000 credits.

The date of the auction has been postponed exactly 24 hours, which means it is now Sunday May 16th at 10:00 AM GMT -4. Player signups will still close 1 hour prior to the auction time.

re: tourbanned and icbb players

Players who are tourbanned or have icbb status at the time of the auction will not be permitted to play in UPL IX. While there are specific circumstances / potential for certain players with these status to positively contribute to this tour, and managers are the ones who judge the risk involved in drafting such a player, the sentiment of the hosts is that there is a reason such players currently have these statuses and therefore they do not need the privilege of being represented in our most prestigious tournament of the year. We've broken our record number of signups (in less than a week) and there is no good reason to give a spot to a player with questionable conduct / sportsmanship over one in good community standing. If a player / manager has reason to believe that the tourban or icbb of interest is unjust their primary concern should be its removal by following the appropriate appeals procedure.

Earlier today the TD team hinted at the complete removal of trades from SPL/SCL. In UPL IX trades will be allowed only prior to the posting of Week 2. This ruling is to outline this specific aspect well ahead of time and in response to the legitimate concerns / potential exploitation of trades in a team tour environment.
