Welcome to the ninth edition of Ubers Premier League, an all-Ubers team tournament where managers draft from the pool of players to compete in a seven-week round-robin battle for Ubers supremacy. The top four teams will then advance to the playoffs, where the winning team will be crowned the premier of Ubers battling. This is Uber’s largest and premier team tournament, providing an opportunity for Ubers powerhouses to display their dominance, veteran players to return, and for new talent to emerge.
Here's a few things to remember:
- A replay / log must be saved of your match or it will be considered invalid. No exceptions.
- General tournament rules and regulations apply. Pokemon Showdown is the default simulator for all metagames unless both parties agree. If you play on anywhere that isn't PS! you must save a log of the match. All matches are best of one, except for the best of three slot.

ORAS: obii vs. keys - he is Canadian which means he has to be good

DPP: Chill Shadow vs. steelskitty - word on the street steelskitty is 4-1 in dppl but I don’t see her winning
ADV: Triangles vs. Aishia
GSC: d0nut vs. Void - d0nut should be undefeated in GSC super solid games
BO3: Garay oak vs. Catalystic - cata it’s lotus gang for life but Garay is among of the best ubers players

DaReal Drizzlers (4) vs. Dangerous Dracovish (4)

SS: Luna’s banned now vs. TrueNora - not a chance Nora loses to Luna twice
SS: TJ vs. Icemaster - I personally think TJ is super fire in SS and is considered the underdog, however icemaster is really good
SS: Lunala vs. FatFighter2 - Lunala is 5-2 and I think he should have this
USM: Gondra vs. Bushtush - I could never not bold Bushtush hes so good at mons
ORAS: Thiago Nunes vs. Sparksblade
BW: Evuelf vs. Carl Murray

Defiant Durians (6) vs. Choice Bandits (4)

SS: TonyFlygon vs. Lacus Clyne - Tony's good but runs some garbage meme shit every week that will get stomped by big lasoos
SS: Skysolo vs. Fogbound Lake - Solo can't lose this enuff said
SS: Cam vs. Aberforth - Aberforth has the cleaner British accent which will translate to a cleaner game
USM: GO lucario vs. Indercover - indercover is just better than the Lucario larper
ORAS: obii vs. keys - you already know keys is gonna win this and then whine about how he actually had a bad mu
BW: watashi vs. Noitu - watashi is built different
DPP: Chill Shadow vs. steelskitty - chill is such a sweaty nerd that he beat bkc

BO3: Garay oak vs. Catalystic - Garay could run wish killer and still best every player aside from pohjis (lmao he got smashed by him)

DaReal Drizzlers (7) vs. Dangerous Dracovish (3)

SS: Luna’s banned now vs. TrueNora - Nora is a hack fraud who fishes for acts, Luna is the hero in this story.
SS: Tj vs. Icemaster - ice is an abolutely incredible player who won a 0-100 matchup vs me by getting all the plays correct so there's no way be drops this to TJ
SS: Lunala vs. FatFighter2 - Both are lucky but Lunala may be luckier
USM: Gondra vs. Bushtush - Meme pick
ORAS: Thiago Nunes vs. Sparksblade- Latter player lost to jt yao
BW: Evuelf vs. Carl Murray - This one could go either way but not predicting is for bitches so I'm doubling down on evuelf
DPP: SoulWind vs. Highlord - SoulWind is contender for best in dpp with bkc and bkc beat highlord so...
ADV: Heysup vs. Melle2402 - melle gonna hard cteam like he did to my boy 0kay
GSC: M dragon vs. Silksong - Irc M dragon is more experienced so he'll take this
BO3: Fardin vs. Goat Heart - Goat heart has been doing bad this tour only recently having picked up ws + Fardin is just a sweat

Defiant Durians (5) vs. Choice Bandits (5)

SS: TonyFlygon vs. Lacus Clyne - While Tony uses creativity to his advantage, I don't think it will phase Lacus at all
SS: Skysolo vs. Fogbound Lake - Will be a good game but Skysolo edges it out
SS: Cam vs. Aberforth - Aberforth's prep is a bit better
USM: GO lucario vs. Indercover - GO lucario goes crazy with the plays
ORAS: obii vs. keys - I saw him win with a magmortar, so I can only imagine what he can do with the brokens. Also, keys going undefeated would be a win for the bandits but a loss for humanity
BW: watashi vs. Noitu - Just a solid player all around and should take it with steelskitty's support
DPP: Chill Shadow vs. steelskitty - steelskitty is favored but cs could easily hax and take it
ADV: Triangles vs. Aishia - It's shame that it's always the tryhards getting lucked, but with the patent pending Highlord Blessing there's no shot she loses
GSC: d0nut vs. Void - d0nut has been tearing up gsc so I'm just gonna bold him
BO3: Garay oak vs. Catalystic - Should be self explanatory at this point lmao

EDIT: just read above, dude above me mad salty LMAO

Since last week's post was well-received, I've decided to write about 1 more thing that I found super interesting when it comes to the standings and the results in SS Ubers. We all know SS Ubers represents 3/9 single tier slots in every matchup (33.3% if we ignore Bo3 which also has SS) and technically 4/10 slots in every week since SS is mandatory first game of Bo3 (40%). With that in mind, lets look at how every team has done in SS through the regular season (ignoring the Bo3 slot for this specific exercise):

1. DaReal Drizzlers: 15-6 (71%)
2. Dangerous Dracovish: 14-6 (70%)
3. Choice Bandits: 14-7 (67%)
4. Defiant Durians: 12-6 (67%)
5. Devastating Dialgas: 10-11 (48%)
6. Manly Melmetal: 6-15 (29%)
6. Alolan Mukkers: 5-14 (26%)
8. Delta Rayquazas: 5-15 (25%)

There's obviously a very clear correlation between the best SS teams and the teams that qualified for playoffs, with the 4 teams that did qualify hovering around the 70% mark and being considerably higher in SS win % than the teams that missed out, showing just how big SS performance is for your final standings. Lets go a little deeper though and look at the results in every single week:

Week records for teams that got 2 SS wins out of the 3 SS games: 14 wins | 3 losses | 4 ties
Week records for teams that got all 3 SS wins out of the 3 SS games: 5 wins | 0 losses | 1 tie

This means that teams that won at least 2 of their SS games in a week only lost said week 11% of the time, showing just how massive those 2 SS wins are, with teams that won all 3 not losing a single week. I know this isn't anything gamebreaking but I just wanted to see how large the impact of SS on the overall records was.

Now onto my predictions for the Drizzlers vs Dracovish series since people wanted to see those:

DaReal Drizzlers (6) vs. Dangerous Dracovish (4)

SS: Luna's Banned now vs. TrueNora - Nora is the better builder and player and I have no doubts that he'll win this time - 100% dream guarantee

SS: TJ vs. Icemaster - Ice's game last week is probably the best played SS game I've ever seen and even though TJ has been a positive surprise this UPL, I don't see how Ice doesn't carry that momentum and steamroll him

SS: Lunala vs. FatFighter2 - Lunala is rly rly good at SS and I love what she brings + how she plays her games out so I fully expect her to win this even though FatFighter has been playing super well since seasonal

USM: Gondra vs. Bushtush - I don't believe I've ever seen Bushtush play a game of SM Ubers while Gondra has been quietly going about his business and dismantling people so this seems like a clear win for him (fucking free Holy Ghost he'd have won this)

ORAS: Thiago Nunes vs. SparksBlade - Sparks is a good player but TNunes has the dream seal of approval in ORAS and will win this game with a funky anti-HO team

BW: Evuelf vs. Carl Murray - Both really solid BW players but I think Evuelf is just better and more consistent, Carl could def surprise though with his peculiar team choices and catch Evu off guard

DPP: SoulWind vs. Highlord - I will never bold against Highlord in UPL unless he's playing BKC, especially now that Soulwind has become super lazy with some of his team choices and been reusing the same stuff for multiple weeks, opening up the door for Highlord to do what he does best and win in the builder

ADV: Heysup vs. Melle2402 - Both super talented former teammates of mine, I think playoff melloat will show up again and take care of business but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Heysup bring something crazy and take it

GSC: M Dragon vs. Silksong - Silksong hasn't really impressed me in GSC and while MDragon hasn't brought the best stuff I think he's a better player and will win this unless Silk gets favoured by the GSC gods, which sounds like just about every GSC game ever (remove this dogshit tier from every tour forever pls)

BO3: Fardin vs. Goat Heart ♥ - Goat Heart has been underwhelming all tour long but pulled out a massive win for his team to clinch playoffs last week, nonetheless, I think Fardin is just favoured in SS/ORAS and will just outright take it from him

DPP: Chill Shadow 55-45 steelskitty

cs' teams have been not just all-around solid, but all over the place playstyle-wise, so I don't think there's going to be much counterstyling from steel here; instead, I think we'll get a clash of two well-rounded teams, both of which will probably have a dash of off-beat surprise to boot. my kind of game. I expect steel to cook up something spicier, in the vein of some of the things she's brought to dppl, but think cs has a playing advantage - he's especially adept at throwing wrenches into opposing strategies by executing his own more quickly. interested to see the result of these two approaches clashing.

DPP: SoulWind 55-45 Highlord

yeah, sw has been repeatedly cycling between variants of tenta zong sub bu dialga and ttar forry scarfchomp (using the latter against hl himself), but that was the regular season; I really don't see him doing so in a playoff game against the high lord of counterstyling. if he sufficiently mixes it up, that'll give him room to make the most of his playing advantage. of course, hl's propensity for pushing boundaries, attempts to catch opponents off-guard and generally being as varied as possible makes him eternally dangerous; I especially like how he gets the most out of mewtwo and its nearly infinite potential. perhaps it's fitting, as sw has also been effectively demonstrating how incredible m2 can be - this game is best summarized as a clash between two of the best around, and when you add the stakes this game has, you potentially have the (dpp) battle of the tournament. incredibly promising in every way.
