Most of all though, there will be some kick ass battles right from the get-go. One of these fine gentlemen will make it to the end, and only one will be crowned the king of the Ultimate Cup. Who will it be? The journey starts now.
And what journey could claim to start, without a beginning? So without further adiu, here are the Ultimate Cup Contestants!
locopoke - Little locopoke makes his debut in Ultimate Cup this year. Born and raised in the Californian ghetto, he had frequent run-ins with the Californian Gay Pokemon Mafia (known for their use of Hitmonchan, Gallade, and Male Lopunny). He honed his skills and became one of the best battlers around. After arriving at Smogon University, he didn't make much noise, but this year he made it to the Finals of Smogon Tournament V. He hopes to bring home the gold so that maybe one day his small little California town can escape the clutches of the Gay Pokemon Mafia. so noble.
Krack - No one exactly knows the origin of Krack. It is said that he was raised by wild Mightyena on the Canadian Tundra. He has come to battle in the Ultimate Cup with the intentions of hocking the Golden Cup for enough money to higher a PI to find his real parents (too bad he doesn't know that it's only gold plated)
Taylor - After spending months secluded in his house watching old Friends reruns, Taylor has burst on to the scene stronger than ever (with an abnormally bulky right hand/wrist... probably practicing his Pokeball throwing skills). He desires to prove himself to Jennifer Anisten by winning the Ultimate Cup. Maybe then she'll finally be his.
Dormin - Dormin was once a Door man for the President of the United States. He trained his Pokemon by battling CIA operatives in the depths of the CIA headquarters. Expect him to be a force in the Ultimate Cup... just uh... don't blame me if your Pokemon end up with broken necks / knives stuck in their back from his assassin training.
Twist of Fate - Twist of Fate was once the best Pokemon battler in an alternate dimension (probably the one where cookie ran off too), but through a HORRIBLE TWIST OF FATE he was transported to our dimension, where he is merely "pretty good." He wants to win the Ultimate Cup in hopes that it will somehow hasten his return to his home dimension (as if that makes any fucking sense).
Twash - After being ridiculed in his hometown for having such a ridiculous name (lol a boy named Ashley), he became determined to become one of the greatest Pokemon battlers the world had ever seen... while he's definitely not the best, he's still pretty damn good (but his name is still Ashley... lol). Expect him to be pretty damn good in this tournament too.
Reachzero - I prefer not to say anything blasphemous about this guy... let's just say that he has the power of God behind him, and that alone will probably carry him to at least the semifinals (not even God can stop that Salamence from criticaling all of your mons with Draco Meteor negating the freaking SpA drop omg it critted FOUR FUCKING TIMES IN A ROW >_<)
Veteren In Love - After losing the War on Love, VIL took his veteren pay and turned to drugs. It wasn't until his only friend Chansey fed him some of her Egg that he was then cured of his addiction and turned his obsession to Pokemon instead. VIL is the returning runner-up from the last Ultimate Cup, so he's definitely familiar with the format. Expect him to do well.
Limitless - Some say his potential is limitless (hence the name). I prefer to demonstrate his potential in terms of y where y = x^infinity and x-> infinity. Now that's fucking potential.
TAY - After years of people accidentally calling him GAY instead of TAY, he finally snapped. He trained his Pokemon incredibly hard so that whenever someone offends him that way again, he can smite them down. Unfortunately for you all, his paranoia makes him think that everyone calls him GAY regardless of whether they actually did. Expect to be smited.
Atticus - Atticus endured a terrible, tragic childhood when his parents trapped him in the attic for spilling some Miltank Milk on the floor. Left in seclusion for 10 years with nothing but his thoughts and a Pokemon Red cartridge... you'd think that in this 10 years he'd think about how to escape his plight, but no... he thought about Pokemon strategy... He's ravaging through the Frontier, and now he's after the Ultimate Cup.
Earthworm - Earthworm is the Pokemon sensation from down under kind of like the Flight of The Conchords, and he translates equally well to the American Pokemon scene. While he may have to refrain from having his Pokemon punch opponents in the face (you gotta hit those kangaroos right in the kisser if you want to take 'em down), he'll still be using his Aussie skills to great effect in Ultimate Cup.
Lady Bug - After spending most of his time in Viridian Forest catching bug Pokemon (hence the name) he long since abandoned his shitty bug Pokemon (save for Scizor because it's broken as fuck), and has been one of the best battlers ever since. His name may be Lady Bug, but he won't be as easy to squash as one.
philip7086 - Lost his job making kitten calenders when a Meowth accidentally hung himself on a clothesline (they should really take greater lengths to keep those cats safe). He's hoping to win this tournament so that he won't forever be known as "the guy who killed that one cat trying to get the perfect shot."
bad ass - One BAMF, no seriously. This guy's so badass he once went through a Silver cartridge with nothing but a legit hacked level 5 Magikarp... and he didn't even evolve it at level 20... and he didn't even let it learn Flail at level 37. What a fucking badass.
Mizuno - After travelling all the way from Cuba on a little raft with nothing but his best friend Squirtle for propulsion. He hoped to make a better life for himself and his family on the Pokemon circuit. After years of scrapping up through the ranks, he has finally made it to the Ultimate Cup, where he hope to use the prize money to give his family back in Cuba the life they always dreamed of.
ReyScarface - When Rey was young, he was outside playing with his best friend El Pinepe (his big stereotypical Mexican Ludicolo) when suddenly a madman with a knife came along, attacking Rey. El Pinepe jumped into action, and while he failed to stop the madman from cutting Rey's face, he did thwart his attempts to take his young master's life... but at the cost of his own. It's been rumored that the madman is in this Tournament, and Rey (now dubbed ReyScarface) enters with the hopes of finding this man and bringing him to justice for slaying his dear friend El Pinepe.
imperfectluck - Grew up playing in the Bronx playing street Pokemon for bread scraps and egg shells. He eventually landed a full ride to Smogon University where he excelled in all of his classes (although he once almost got expelled for bringing women into his dormatory, the allegations that these girls were underage were never proven). He's the reigning champ of the Ultimate Cup, so be on the lookout for this kid.
Loki - Former circus star for the Cirque de Solei, he traded in his high rope walking shoes for a Pokeball after a freak accident that left his knees unable to walk the rope any longer. But his pokemon are trained like cirus stars, and as such, ridiculously powerful. He's in this tourney where hopefully he can gain enough money to pay for the extremely expensive operation to get him back in the circus.
Sapientia - Some have called him the Pokemon Hitler, and guess what guys... you are all Pokemon jews.
husk - There's only one thing you need to know about this guy: asian pokemon playin god.
stone_cold22 - Once made a living entertaining barflies with his Pokemon magic tricks (pulled a lopunny out of a hat... if you know what I mean), he now is trying to make a break onto the Pokemon battle scene after a stray Pidgey that flew out of his sleeve shat all over his audience, killing his career.
Mien - Came from outer space just to play in this Pokemon tournament. You'd think that being an alien he'd have some ridiculous alien Pokemon strategies, but no... he's like that one green alien from Star Trek, exactly like a human, but green. How boring.
LoveDestiny - Much like it's his destiny to fall in love, it just might be his destiny to win this pokemon tournament.
Brawley - After attempting to thwart the plans of the evil Asian Pokemon mastermind Yoshimitsu, his mother was stolen away by Yoshimitsu's henchmen. He is now being forced to enter the Ultimate Cup in order to save his mother's life, which is pretty damn good motivation to win... but fuck his mother, you all want the Ultimate Cup too
Son of Thunder - The son of Zeus himself, he hardened his skills in the depths of the underworld with his uncle Hades. He's joined the Ultimate Cup to put you mere mortals in his place. Can anyone defeat this demigod?
Stalefish - This guy's story isn't that interesting... born and raised in central Missouri, he spends most of his days on Shoddybattle where he trains his skills. Pretty much the definition of no life, but with no life he has become very proficient in Pokemon. Joined the Ultimate Cup because he had nothing better to do during Summer.
JabbaTheGriffin - The grandson of the richest Pokemon master of New Jersey. Never had to work a day in his life, which left more time for him to train his mons. With the best Pokemon trainers money can buy, his expertly worked Pokemon are almost without equal. And his skills ain't bad either. He wants to win the cup so he can add it to his already overflowing trophy case (hint: you all hate him and want him out of the tourney).
Blue Kirby - You wouldn't have thought it, but Kirby is an outstanding Pokemon player. It must be all of the balls (pokeballs that is) he can carry around in his mouth. Don't let the flamboyance of his pokeball carrying techniques fool you though, he's a formiddable opponent who can easily win this tournament.
Gouki - I've been told that this guy's strongth is that of 10,000 snorlax's... more like his fat is that of 10,000 snorlax's. Seriously... fat and... well.... meh.
Kevin Garrett - Had his start conning Pokemon trainers out of their badges by promising expert polishing services. After a brief period in jail, he's finally out, hoping to make up for his misdeeds by showing everyone he's gone straight.
Eo Ut Mortus - Grew up in under the watchful eyes of Buddhist Pokemon monks. He has the knowledge of ancient Asian Pokemon Secrets, but unlike his Buddhist monk fathers, he's not afraid to use his secrets in Pokemon combat.

2. Each player must submit to me a team of six pokemon that they wish to be their "main team." They must also submit to me a "side team" that consists of six additional Pokemon.
3. The first battle in a given round MUST be played with using your main team. After that battle is done, you are free to substitute up to two Pokemon from your main team with Pokemon from your side team. If a third game is necessary, you are allowed two additional substitutions from your main team for Pokemon from your side team.
4. This is one of the most important rules. SETS ARE TO REMAIN CONSTANT WITHIN A ROUND. This means if you use Life Orb Tyranitar in the first match, you are bound to using only Life Orb Tyranitar for the remainder of the round. ITEM / NATURE / EV'S / IV'S / MOVE SET are all considered to be part of the set. If there is proof that you have changed your set at any time in the round, you will be disqualified without exception.
5. Sets do not, however, have to remain constant between rounds. If you used Life Orb Tyranitar round one, you are free to use Choice Band Tyranitar for round two.
6. Your main team and side team must remain constant throughout the tournament.
7. Scouting is expressly forbidden. If you are caught watching a battle you will be disqualified without exception. DON'T WATCH OTHER PEOPLE'S BATTLES. I'm even going to be alt checking names of spectators just to make sure no one tries to watch a battle under an alt. Just plain don't do it.
8. Logs must be sent to me via PM so that I can confirm teams. Only the winner must send me PMs. If you fail to send me a PM, you will have to redo your battles. This is probably the second most important rule.
