Project Unluckiest Player of the Week (Week 7, see Post #164)

UPOW has been going for quite some time now, but I've finally come across a replay undoubtedly worthy of these hallowed halls...
Please join me in watching as FIVE of my teammembers get burned, first chance they possibly could.. at which point Alomomola seals my fate with the sixth and final burn. In retrospect, considering all my serious damage was physical, my fate was sealed the moment that stupid pink fish hit the field.

turn 33 is legendary

We'll be going for one winner this time!

Congratulations to Zeppellii (submitted by zvbcv with permission) for winning this week by a landslide!

Normally there's specific points in the battle one would be able to highlight. That is in fact how it would work under most circumstances. However, literally every single turn of this match was riddled with flinches, crits, and paralysis. It's only fitting that zvbcv's lead was the Paragon of Hax itself, Jirachi. I'm truly at a loss for words at the clean sweep with a Choice Scarf Medicham locked into Zen Headbutt through sheer power of 20% flinches and 1/24 crits.

Next cycle starts now and lasts until December 7! I wish the worst of luck to y'all in competing!

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen5randombattle-2489793509 While not every part of this was completely unlucky the sheer amount of misses and effects triggered are unlucky and, in my opinion, made the battle crazy difficult. Shed skin triggering instantly twice in turn 5 and 6 (although you could argue that effect spore and sludge bomb poison were lucky in themselves but they did absolutely nothing). Two Gear Grind and a Toxic miss in Turns 10-12. Bite flinch and willo miss in Turns 27 and 28 Admittedly the battle was pretty much over by then anyway but it certainly made it sting quite a bit more.

Hello! New here.

In a game of Double Randoms, I had my Ludicolo miss his muddy water shots (85% accuracy) a total of 5 times in a row (turns 3, 4, 5), something which has a 0.0076% (or in other words a 1 in 13,000) chance of occurring.

Despite this, I still went on to win the game.

Very sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, but you did not save your replay. You need to hit the save replay button at the end of the battle, or otherwise the link expires, like the link you sent has. Shame, would have loved to see what you described there happen.

A 22 turn game of masterpiece.
i got grass type into flying type mono rands. won 1v1 against lando and he switched to honchkrow. outplayed sucker and saved sceptile as a sac. went to my bulky wo chien. goal was to para as many mons as possible, cause thats probably the only way i win. so i use tera early. lost a chonk of health cause he didnt get para once with arceus. delibird came in and boy he delivered. used freeze dry and froze my wo chien. i know im not gonna thaw and he will use this opportunity to spikes but he didnt and again froze my driplin. then again, i cant allow spikes so i switched to leafeon and u guessed it right, it got frozen too. none of them thawed out t1. only mons left was a choice banded mon, which couldnt outplay sucker and a cacturne, which gets 1hko by a single move. well was funny, i will give it that
p.s. it was a game in a room tour in random battles room.

TLDR: 4 thunderbolts, 4 paras

Turn 1: Kyurem gets paralyzed by first thunderbolt it takes
Turn 3: Kyurem gets crit (wouldnt have died otherwise)
Turn 5: Kommo-o gets paralyzed by first thunderbolt it takes
Turn 7: Ultra high roll for golduck to die to a thunderbolt
Turn 9: Tentacruel gets paralyzed by the first thunderbolt it takes, not really relevant but it's still crazy that it happened a third time
Turn 11: You guessed it, Cetitan gets paralyzed by the first thunderbolt it takes, and is unable to move that same turn

The rest of the match is just the aftermath and there is not much to say, but it is kinda funny and stupid that my last pokemon had life orb and was left at 20%, literally meaning it was imposible for me to win the match, not even if my oponent had the worst matchup ever in the back
