This is kind of like an update/follow up of my previous thread about the Zekrom team. Although this is just an idea, I've always loved Unova, and wanted to make a team that shows that. While not unova exclusive pokemon, I tried my best at coming up with what I think is kind of like a rough draft of the final team. Like last time, this team is centered around Zekrom, and I'll be giving a brief explanation of each pokemon on the team, and the thought process behind why I chose them.
Zekrom - The stat of the team. Like last time, I made it so that Zekrom is incredibly speedy and powerful, both having max speed and max attack evs, while having leftovers to heal from any damage Zekrom takes. It has protect in order to defend itself from threatening moves, while also having dragon dance to threaten a sweep
Blissey - The main healer and support of the team. Naturally I made her as bulky as possible, with support moves such as heal pulse to support its ally. I decided to give blissey thunder wave in order to maintain speed control, as well as dazzling gleam and grass knot to hit any threats for potential super effective damage.
Hydreigon - Hydreigon's role is kind of unknown to me, but right now I have him as my support for zekrom, having moves like tailwind to boost the team's speed, while having other moves like snarl to lower the opponent's special attack, a well as dark pulse to focus on any other mons on the field. It also has roar so that it can switch out the opponent's pokemon.
Pelipper - Pelipper is here to support Zekrom as well, having the drizzle ability in order to set up rain for Zekrom's bolt strike. Obviously it was given the damp rock in order for the rain to last longer. It also have moves like weather ball and hurricane to threaten any super effective damage against opposing pokemon.
Amoonguss - Amoonguss is here mainly to deal with any fairy type pokemon, as well as use toxic to chip away at the opponent's HP. It also contains moves like giga drain to heal any damage it took, as well as foul play to deal with any opposing mons trying to set up.
Chandelure - Chandelure is here mainly for ghost/fire coverage. While being very speedy and having strong special moves, it also has trick in order to switch its lens with any physical pokemon.
Currently, based on the limited games I've played, I want to say that the biggest outliers on the team are Hydreigon, Amoonguss, and Chandelure. For hydreigon, I feel as if from what it felt for me that it was just taking up Pelipper's role for tailwind, and that Pelipper should be running tailwind instead of Heydreigon. I would most likely change their role to a special attacker wallbreaker. For amoonguss, I feel as if he just disrupts the flow, mainly because of its low speed stat. While they're most definitely strong, I don't think Amoonguss fits well with the rest of the team. For Chandelure, I just think that there are better fire types to use, such as Volcarona.
I will leave the team below for anybody to use and try, but if anybody has any suggestions or ideas on what they'd change to improve the team, suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for reading my post.
