Hidden Power is Unown’s only move, so it might as well try to take advantage of its STAB. Hidden Power Psychic hits Fighting- and Poison-type Pokemon such as Hitmonchan, Arbok, and Swalot.

This EV spread has enough bulk so that Unown can tank a Hidden Power Ghost from unboosted Jolly Bulk Up Hitmonchan and KO it after Spikes a majority of the time. It still outspeeds uninvested base 60s and 70s such as physically defensive Tangela and Dewgong. Twisted Spoon boosts Hidden Power Psychic, allowing it to 2HKO Hitmonchan and ∞HKO Dark-types such as Sableye, Murkrow, and Cacturne. Levitate gives Unown a type immunity and allows it to switch into top-tier threats such as Choice Band Hitmonchan locked into Earthquake. Great teammates for Unown include Ditto and Luvdisc, with the former possessing a Ghost immunity for Unown while Unown can tank Fighting-type hits and the latter helping keep faster foes in check.

However, two of the best Dark-types in NU, Murkrow and Sableye, are neutral or immune to it. I don't know how competitive we're trying to make this Unown set, I know it still needs to be somewhat of a joke analysis, but I really don't like having either Twisted Spoon HP Psychic or Choice Band HP Fighting as the onsite analysis. It pains me that the HP Psychic set is just a worse worse Chimecho and that the HP Fighting set that is supposed to be hitting ADV NU's Dark-types don't hit our two best Darks for SE, those being Sableye and Murkrow.

This is the set I have in mind. At least it can maybe beat Hitmonchan, idk. What else is the Pokemon really going to be doing anyways? It sucks that bad. This EV spread has enough bulk so that Unown can tank a Hidden Power Ghost from Jolly +0 Bulk Up Hitmonchan most of the time and kill Hitmonchan after 1 layer of spikes most of the time. Still outspeeds uninvested base 60s and 70s such as Phy Def Tangela and Dewgong. If you have something better in mind Oglemi by all means share, but I don't feel comfortable writing an analysis for Unown when it can't do a single thing.

mehhh I get not wanting it to be outdone by Chimecho, but if you want to have a laugh and bring fkn Unown, the best way you're going to try and get a kill with it is with HP Psychic since that gives you the most damage against a broader range of things. I like the EV spread though

Abra is a frailer alternative to Unown that gives up a type immunity for blazing (Abra isn't slow but it isn't blazing by any means, it speed ties with 6-8 relevant Pokemon and is outsped by around 10 more relevant Pokemon. I get its a joke analysis things involving viable Pokemon shouldn't be exaggerated) Speed and extraordinary (I personally wouldn't use extraordinary here as from experience I've been let down many times by Abra not being able to get KOs, but I guess its fine especially compared to Unown) Special Attack.
