[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Urshifu-R can use its decent physical bulk to shrug off attacks from prominent physical attackers and KO back with Surging Strikes or a boosted Body Press. Iron Defense lets Urshifu-R take advantage of weak or resisted attackers, such as Sawk, Urshifu-S, and Dracovish by increasing its bulk and simultaneously powering up Body Press. Its natural bulk helps it live hits from Pheromosa and bulky Landorus-Therian, enabling you to attack immediately. Surging Strikes is chosen for its high power, its ability to bypass negative stat changes from opponents such as Landorus-Therian, and for its effectiveness against Sturdy users like Crustle and Aggron. Sitrus Berry improves the matchup against Dracovish, Will-O-Wisp Volcanion, and Band Garchomp. Counter and Taunt are both viable options for the fourth move. Counter beats choice-locked Haxorus, certain Zeraora sets, and Band Garchomp more consistently, but Taunt beats opponents that wish to stall out Urshifu-R, such as Avalugg, Steelix, Registeel, and Ferrothorn.

EVs
=============
The given EVs and nature are to have the maximum possible speed, in order to outspeed opposing Galarian Darmanitan and non-Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, while the remaining EVs are put into Defense in order to maximize physical bulk, as well as boost the power of Body Press.

Usage Tips
=============
Counter leads to many 50/50 scenarios against strong physical attackers such as Garchomp and non-Choice Band Zeraora. In both cases, the Urshifu-R user must pick between using Counter on a strong attack turn 1 and Iron Defense to prevent the opponent from setting up. Against Galarian Darmanitan, you should use Iron Defense turn 1, as an unboosted Body Press does not kill bulky spreads. This Iron Defense can be encored by Zen Mode Glarian Darmanitan, however this is exceeedingly rare. Against Ferrothorn, you should click Iron Defense immediately, and then use Taunt if they click anything other than Swords Dance, and Iron Defense again if your opponent uses Swords Dance. This only loses to uncommon sets like Swords Dance Chople Berry Ferrothorn.

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Life Orb gives Urshifu-R a well-needed boost to power, while still letting it setup and switch attacks. Surging Strikes is the preferred Water-type move, thanks to its guaranteed critical hits and its multiple hits. Aqua Jet is useful to chip down opponents such as physically bulky Metagross, and take advantage of Custap Berry users like Porygon-Z and Sawk. Bulk Up helps to OHKO certain opponents with other moves, limiting the effectiveness of Counter from Goodra or Registeel. Additionally, it can help to live a strong hit from slower threats such as non-Scarf Dracovish, and enable Urshifu-R to OHKO in return.

EVs
=============
- max max
- jolly for jolly band gdarm / jolly haxorus / opposing jolly urshifu, adamant for better rolls against extremely bulky goodra, as well as better chances for surging strikes -> aqua jet to ko scarf metagross (relevant if they're thunder punch)

Usage Tips
=============
- bulk up t1 vs goodra, dracovish (you lose to scarf regardless), twice against urshifu-s (avoids getting cheesed by chople),
- always click aqua jet if it kills in order to ensure that you do not get killed by a custap berry user, such as pz or sawk
- click surging strikes twice against metagross and swampert, otherwise the cc drops put you in range of getting killed in response, as well as reducing counter damage

Hi, I just wanted to post an update here as well as in Discord, and an edit in my reservation post.

Genesect/Jirachi have both been banned, and AV will be removed from the compendium. I'm still not going to write about Pjab Roseli Berry. Will edit this if I have anything else to say.

Set Description
=============
Urshifu-R can utilize its combination of good physical bulk and setup moves such as Iron Defense to tank hits from physical attackers (such as? you need to be sure to name the most prominent meta threats that this mon can deal with in order to really sell its viability. Things like Zygarde, Urshifu-S, Darmanitan-G, etc) and KO back with a boosted Body Press. Because it mostly relies on Body Press and Surging Strikes for damage, Intimidate users such as Arcanine and Landorus-T lose a lot of their physical bulk. Its typing resists common moves that always result in critical hits such as Surging Strikes and Wicked Blow which would otherwise invalidate the defense boosts. Even without setup, it possesses the ability to avoid OHKOs from strong but frail physical attackers like Darmanitan-Galar, Pheromosa, and Landorus-T, and go straight for the kill afterwards. (In general, you really wanna outline what these moves are for. Iron Defense namely being for the purpose of bolstering the power of Body Press, Body Press being the main Fighting-type move that is used over Close Combat (be sure to explain why it's used over CC + what it covers that CC doesn't (Garchomp, Choice Scarf Dracovish, Ferrothorn etc)), and Surging Strikes being the main Water-type move that it uses to deal with particular threats that Body Press can't handle or struggles with (Counter or Metal Burst users like Urshifu-S, Sawk, Aggron, etc, and other threats like non-Specs Nihilego, Volcarona, Aegislash, etc)) Both Counter and Taunt are viable options for the last slot, with the former beating Custap Berry Zapdos-Galar if it clicks Brave Bird, Choice Band Regidrago (ID beats this, replace with Choice Band Haxorus), and Choice Band Zeraora, and the latter beating stallers such as Corsola-G (surging actually struggles against corsola since 3 hits = 3x more likely to get disabled, and thus you eventually drop to Night Shade unless you're extremely lucky with Cursed Body, replace with Avalugg), Arcanine (you actually don't need taunt for this, since boosted Body Press eventually deals with them; replace with Leech Seed Celesteela), Kyurem without Freeze-Dry (Draco Meteor is about the same strength, and this otherwise only really matters for Substitute Kyurem; replace with Ferrothorn), Azumarill, and Suicune. Finally, Sitrus Berry gives Urshifu-R some extra longevity, potentially enabling it to Iron Defense again or to attack an extra time (be sure to outline matchups where this matters, like non-Specs Volcanion and Choice Band Garchomp).

EVs
=============
The Speed EVs are to outspeed Diggersby, while the rest is put into HP and Defense, prioritizing Defense to maximize Body Press damage and overall physical bulk (add that the combined HP and Def is just enough to survive a Choice Band Plasma Fists from Zeraora).

Usage Tips
=============
If running Counter, there are various 50/50s tied to it, notably Zeraora. Neither Life Orb boosted Fake Out into Plasma Fists nor Choice Band boosted Plasma Fists can kill Urshifu-R, however if the opposing Life Orb Zeraora knows you are running Counter it can use a weaker attack such as Knock Off, live the Counter, and then kill the next turn. In this case, Iron Defense would guarantee the win against Knock Off but Counter would guarantee the win against Plasma Fists (be sure to include Zapdos-Galar, which forces a similar situation if it clicks a non-Brave Bird move vs your Counter and vice versa). (This section could use some additional points, since it is meant to be the section that actually teaches people how to use the mon. For Urshifu-R, you wanna be sure to explain things like: 1) how Urshifu-R generally wants to use Iron Defense first to boost up Body Press and then KO, but add in that against Darmanitan-G you just Press immediately since it already KOs and avoids the risk of being locked into Encore by a potential Zen Mode user, 2) explain how you use Taunt in order to block annoying status or setup moves from mons like Zygarde, Iron Defense Avalugg, Leech Seed Celesteela, Belly Drum Azumarill (this one also being a 50/50), Iron Defense Ferrothorn, etc)

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Urshifu-R fires off incredibly strong attacks off of its 130 base Attack, especially with a Life Orb and boosting nature. Surging Strikes is both a strong STAB move and also has many various benefits. As a multihit move, it kills common Sturdy users like Aggron and Crustle, and reduces Counter and Metal Burst damage. Because it always results in a critical hit, it deals consistent damage against opposing setup users like Stored Power Necrozma (Necrozma unfortunately still wins by just eating Strikes and KOing with CM followed by Stored Power; replace with Avalugg), and bypasses Attack drops from Intimidate (specify Arcanine and Landorus-T). Aqua Jet is a a consistent way to beat Custap Berry users like Metal Burst Aggron (you don't really need Jet for this since they need to use Endure in order to live a hit, and at that point they can't KO you. Replace with Goodra), and Porygon-Z. Finally, Bulk Up serves as a way to live hits from threats that would otherwise OHKO such as Custap Berry Zapdos-Galar (Unfortunately, you only really beat non-Jolly, non-Band Zapdos-G, and at that point that's pretty niche. Replace with Choice Band Dracovish and things that can set up and KO you like non-Rocky Helmet Zygarde and Iron Defense Avalugg), as well as guarantee kills against foes which can take advantage of Urshifu-R's moves, such as Garchomp. (Unfortunately Garchomp kinda wins across the board, with the exception of slower AV sets and 2HKOing no bulk Custap with Close Combat into Aqua Jet. There's already plenty of good examples above, so idt this really needs a replacement)

EVs
=============
Max Attack hits foes as hard as possible, and 252 Speed EVs outspeeds as many opposing Pokemon as possible, as well as speed tie opposing unboosted Haxorus and Urshifu. (As discussed in set submissions, we'll be changing to Jolly. Be sure to explain that Jolly is used for outspeeding the various 85-95 speed tier mons between Suicune, non-Scarf Porygon-Z, Landorus-T, Kyurem, etc, in addition to at worst speed tying other Urshifu and Haxorus)

Usage Tips
=============
Even though Close Combat is stronger than Surging Strikes against neutral targets, the Defense and Special Defense drops are very noticeable, so if Surging Strikes 2HKOs it's vastly preferred over using Close Combat twice (specify that this is for Metagross and Swampert, since these are pretty much the only common mons that you can beat where both moves hit with the same type effectiveness). (Similar to Usage Tips for the prior set, you wanna make sure you're basically teaching people how to use this set. In this case, you wanna explain 1) Using Aqua Jet against mons with low enough HP, just in case they're Custap Berry, 2) Giving an idea of how you generally only need to setup against bulkier threats that you can't really KO vs when to go for the attack immediately)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Assault Vest helps the matchup against prominent special attackers such as Custap Magnezone, Life Orb Naganadel (you don't really beat Naganadel without either sacrificing the Moltres-G matchup or using something dumb like Low Sweep + Zen Headbutt, so I'd just drop it), Choice Scarf and Custap Berry Porygon-Z, and Moltres-Galar.

Roseli Berry and Poison Jab can be used to deal with Fairy-types, however it still has losing matchups against threats such as Choice Specs Sylveon, Iron Defense Tapu Fini, and Choice Scarf Togekiss.

Good stuff all around. Just some minor nitpicks and that's about it.
Coil Zygarde without Rocky Helmet, and Body Press Registeel.
In Set Description for Life Orb, you only really need to say "non-Rocky Helmet Zygarde, and Registeel", since the Coil and Body Press don't really matter in how the matchup is played out.
Only use Bulk Up against foes that you can't kill immediately, and have the potential to OHKO you with physical attacks.
In Usage Tips for Life Orb, you forgot examples for what this matters for, which albeit is on me for not providing them. Good cases for Bulk Up would be opposing Urshifu, Choice Band Dracovish, and non-Rocky Helmet Zygarde.

Since these are super minor changes, you don't really need me to triple check, so consider it as good as stamped!

Set Description

Urshifu-R can utilize its combination of good physical bulk and setup moves such as Iron Defense to tank hits from potent physical attackers such as Zygarde, Urshifu-S, Sawk, Galarian Darmanitan, and Choice Band Pheromosa and KO back with a boosted Body Press or Surging Strikes. Iron Defense lets Urshifu-R tank hits from slower or weaker physical attackers, as well as boost the power of Body Press. Because of the lack of Attack investment, Body Press is the preferred Fighting-type move over Close Combat, as it doesn't suffer from dropping Defense and Special Defense and can be boosted in strength by Iron Defense, which helps against Choice Scarf Dracovish and Garchomp. Surging Strikes helps out against foes that Body Press can't beat, such as Counter or Metal Burst users like Urshifu-S, Sawk, and Aggron, as well as serve as a more reliable attack against Power Herb Nihilego, Volcarona, and Aegislash. Both Counter and Taunt are viable options for the last slot, with the former beating Custap Berry Zapdos-Galar if it clicks Brave Bird, Choice Band Haxorus, and Choice Band Zeraora, and the latter beating stallers such as Avalugg, Celesteela, Ferrothorn, Azumarill, and Suicune. Finally, Sitrus Berry gives Urshifu-R some extra longevity, potentially enabling it to Iron Defense again or to attack an extra time, which helps out against Will-O-Wisp Volcanion and Choice Band Garchomp.

EVs
=============
The Speed EVs are to outspeed Diggersby, while the rest is put into HP and Defense, prioritizing Defense to maximize Body Press damage and overall physical bulk, resulting in barely living a Plasma Fists from Choice Band Zeraora.

Usage Tips
=============
Generally, Iron Defense helps to increase Urshifu-R's chances of survival as well as boost the power of Body Press, so it should be prioritized. However, against Galarian Darmanitan, Body Press first in case it has encore. Counter leads to multiple 50/50s against strong physical attackers, such as Zeraora. It cannot kill immediately with either Life Orb boosted Fake Out into Plasma Fists or Choice Band Plasma Fists. However, Zeraora might use a weaker attack to try and play around the counter from Urshifu-R, and you can use Iron Defense to win. A similar scenario happens with Custap Berry Galarian Zapdos, which can either Thunderous Kick into Brave Bird against Counter, and Brave Bird twice against Iron Defense. Taunt is also useful for disabling status and setup moves such as Coil on Zygarde, Iron Defense on Avalugg, Ferrothorn, and Kommo-o, and Leech Seed on Celesteela. Against some setup users such as Belly Drum Azumarill which can overpower you by setting up or simply attacking if you don't set up, you have to choose whether you want to Taunt or Iron Defense.

Finally, Bulk Up serves as a way to live hits from threats that would otherwise OHKO such as Choice Band Dracovish and offensive setup users like Iron Defense Avalugg, Zygarde without Rocky Helmet, and Registeel.

EVs
=============
Max Speed EVs and a Jolly Nature lets Urshifu-R outspeed various base 85 through 96 Speed Pokemon such as Choice Specs and Custap Berry Porygon-Z, Suicune, Landorus-T, and Kyurem, as well as Speed tie opposing Urshifu and Haxorus without Choice Scarf. 252 Attack EVs maximizes offensive potential.

Usage Tips
=============
If the opponent is at low health, use Aqua Jet in case the opponent has a priority move, Custap Berry, or the same Speed stat as you. A rule of thumb is that an Aqua Jet does about the same amount of damage as a single hit of Surging Strikes. Only use Bulk Up against foes that you can't kill immediately, and have the potential to OHKO you with physical attacks, such as Urshifu, Zygarde without Rocky Helmet, and Choice Band Dracovish.
