Welcome to the third edition of this showdown between the USA and the World. Which one will be the best? It's time to find out.​
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on either Smogtours or Pokemon Showdown!
  • Replays are required. Any win post without replays will not be counted

  • On Substitution:
    • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
    • When making a substitution, please inform the host team, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware.
    • Keep in mind once a player is subbed out, they cannot be subbed back.
    • Substitutions will not be allowed in tiebreak series unless both teams agree (or TDs enforce double sub). We will be reluctant to give activity wins to those who are clearly fishing for them.

  • On Sportsmanship:
    • Note the sportsmanship infraction may be used liberally in this showdown, and any unsportsmanlike conduct on the forums, in the tours or 1v1 discord will be grounds for an infraction.
    • Remember, this is an event to enjoy.
Deadlines:

All battles are to be completed by Sunday, December 14th, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST (GMT-5).
Battles that are not completed will be reviewed for activity and have a winner declared accordingly. If both parties are at fault, the game will simply not count in deciding final standing.

SV Bo7: Indi01 vs Kaif FINALS REMATCH HYPE! Bossman kaif egoslotting has succeeded more times than it has failed but Indi is also a demon in the rematch and he has lost the support of litteleven and mentality

SV Bo7: Indi01 vs Kaif - indi just has to not make a post at the start of the week talking about his record and he's definitely favored . Kaif redeemed his chip in LCQ though (good for him) so think he will slack off. Game will be a snoozefest do not turn up for it. 60-40.

SV Bo7: DripLegend vs RADU - RADU cashed in his unlucky tour in UMPL so i expect 5 crits this series. Otherwise it's just Thwackey on Thwackey violence featuring likely sabotage and 0 darkshifus loaded. 45-55

SV Bo5: Nuxl vs fake tom numbers - tom kryptonite vs tom GG this is a HL match and its definitely getting gentlemanned to an SV7 so turn up, personally i would've slotted exguardian here instead for better odds. 60-40.

SV Bo5: Fancy1 vs Mc - More proven player at the time of predict, Fancys gotten a lot better at building over 2025 so I expect him to be better here. Can maybe become a sv7 series? Would be fun to watch. 65-35.

SV Bo5: bo_bobson27 vs TGK - hard to tell if bo was coerced into this tour but I would expect him to prep, given his last outing was winning champs there's a fair bit of rust involved; think class is permanent though. 65-35.

SV Bo5: bea vs ExguardiaN - more proven player part 2 but I heard bea was going to start playing TFT this set so mileage may vary. Exg is quite good too, expect this to be fairly even. 55-45.

SV Bo5: Anonymous1634 vs bello figo - best Italy player vs person who didn't make westral :( I do think bello figo has secret sauce IDK whats getting passed though. 45-55.

SS Bo7: luser vs Frailty - PIKACHU VS TOGEDEMARU G7 ive got togedemaru. real note neither player is playing seriously so we should temper our expectations, edge to frailty because that is what she always does. 45-55.

SS Bo5: Nick vs glitched - glitched stop going back to ss jail... 65-35.

SM Bo7: rumia vs Close - hard to see Close not taking it in a bo7. secretly hype as an old vs new matchup. 35-65.

SM Bo5: crow crumbs vs Kry - think Kry is the better player but dont sleep on bird sming unless they decide to bring pure sabotage. mainer bolded, 45-55.

ORAS Bo7: crucify vs NTG Cuz IDK - obligatory bold because its crucify. dont think we should be playing ORAS bo7 in 2025 though honestly this gen is not that fun to watch #notatierbashiwasformeroras1v1tldontsueme. 70-30.

ORAS Bo5: Synonimous vs DezShizzels - getting some severe ptsd looking at dez sets. tier has evolved to a point where those are prob loadable here though and this is bo5 so we are going to get some hot nonsense i hope. 65-35.

BW Bo7: bellchime vs DEG - pretty hype MU, two diff philosophies @ BW, DEG is a solid builder and probably will get good matchups on preview judging by past performances, think they are definitely favored in this gen. 40-60.

BW Bo5: Rei vs neomon - i don't think neomon with kaif deg in cord should be dropping games in BW. less of a disparity because this is bo5 though. 25-75.

DPP Bo5: jhm vs stravench - i believe stravench to be the better / more proven player; huge fan of jhm but will probably watch this through. 40-60.

ADV Bo5: Marshmelto vs frogfacts - marshmelto > fraudfacts and even has a better vr so i believe in him. probably will be hype because ADV best gen 45-55.

GSC Bo5: Murm vs Call me PK - cmpk is the goat but this is coinflip gen so whatever happens will happen. 49.5 - 50.5

RBY Bo7: Elo Bandit vs magialice - spreadsheet gen with two invested players. 40-60.

LGPE Bo5: lost heros vs Tricknology - trick has been really impressive as of late in general, think they have a quite high ceiling as a 1v1 player going forward. not sure why they are in alcatraz but gl to them. 45-55.

ND Bo5: zo vs gorilaa - i would root for zo but i believe gorilaa to be a better player in the context of natdex; especially when looking at how this pl game went. 40-60.

UU Bo5: happysh vs Bomb21XD - i dont actually believe in bomb sets even though he uses uu mons in regular play. think happy has exp in uu so i would favor him. 60-40.

CAP Bo5: Mist vs Potatochan - GENTLEMAN TO BO7 PLS CAP IS FUN. I would like to watch this game more than any other game listed here, think jacob is favored in an unlabbed gen for all purposes. 35-65.

MG Bo9: Mishlef vs delemon - hard not to bold delemon but Mishlef is quite good at MG, unsure how this will go in practice gl to both. 45-55.

Expected Win Value: USA (11.8) vs (12.2) The World

Series is close in practice, a lot of these mus are quite close so don't judge players by whether they are bolded. I believe in this series to go to a bo5 tb and for a lot of cool stuff to happen. PREP AND PLAY YOUR GAMES TO YOUR BEST ABILITY! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
