Useful abilities/pokemon/moves for Competitive battle Preparation

Hi, I hope I'm doing this in a proper manner, My Idea is an article on abilities, pokemon, and moves that are useful in the preparation of a competitive team.

Some Examples:

  • Suction cups/sticky hold being useful for chain fishing,
  • Trace being useful for finding pokemon with a specific ability (especially in friend safari for finding hidden abilities),
  • Utilizing a pokemon with compound eyes (or frisk?) + theif to farm heartscales, stardust, starpieces or other wild hold items
  • Synchronize being useful for finding pokemon with specific natures
  • Cute charm being useful for finding specific genders
  • Honey Gather/Sweet scent's usefulness in EV training
  • magma armor/flame body's usefullness hatching eggs
  • Static & magnet pull's use for finding pokemon of a specific type and an otherwise low encounter rate.
You could also list what pokemon Native to X and Y have these abilities and specific routes that they would be useful on.

It might make an interesting article and would be relevant since X & Y just recently came out and people are starting to make competitive teams in it.

And If there's not enough stuff for a full article you could also include locations of useful NPCs and/or Good Pokeradar locations.

Anyways, food for thought.

#1 thing here is that the issue is releasing pretty soon so if approved this article would have to be for next issue.

As for the content it seems a little... generic. We pretty much know all this stuff, and it can easily be in guides online, and I'm afraid that there probably won't be enough content to add in (and the bottom things you mentioned aren't really as relevant - PokeRadar for one is for shinies, not for competitive team finding for the most part). I'm not quite sure how to make it more interesting to appeal to more people AND have enough content to be an interesting enough article. I'll leave it up to other Smog Staff to comment but for now I'm not sure there's enough to make it stand out from stuff we already know. We appreciate you coming up with the idea regardless of the outcome though~

Alsooo in the future, add a prefix at the top of the thread describing this article. Since it doesn't apply directly to a metagame, or isn't a type of strategy, then this would fit into Other Features. It's just easier for organisation for us later on! :)
