Congrats to Accelgor for winning this week with Fightium Z Scizor, you will be added to the archive oo

This week we're doing Chesnaught, this mon has been on the rise for quite some time and can really fuck over a good portion of the physical attackers in the tier. It's phys def stat is nuts, lures are due by Friday October 27th at 11:59PM GMT -7

Zeraora @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 64 HP / 252 Atk / 192 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Plasma Fists
- Close Combat
- Bounce

Blatantly a stolen set but Moute is better at EV'ing than I am. Anyways, 99% of the time Chesnaught is expecting Plasma Fists, CC, Grass Knot, and a boosting move. Z-Bounce straight-up obliterates Chesnaught, and with Hone Claws it perfects the accuracy and gives it an attack boost as well. Works.

Rotom-Mow @ Psychium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dream Eater
- Leaf Storm
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Fire

Rotom-Mow can't usually touch chesnaught, even hidden power fire does less than half to the fat behemoth 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Chesnaught: 144-170 (37.8 - 44.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery. However, Z Dream Eater devours chesnaught 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Shattered Psyche (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Chesnaught: 426-502 (112.1 - 132.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery. It's also helpful for opposing amoongus, kommo-o, and nidoqueen, all of which are becoming more common. Of course it will hit malt and potentially finish off ground types like hippo if you don’t need the psychic move for other opposing mons and would rather just avoid the special attack drop. With the z move defeating Nidoqueen and Chesnaught, tbolt ,willo and defog become better options in the last moveslot but I personally find hp fire OHKO ing scizor too important.

Crawdaunt @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Aerial Ace
- Aqua Jet / Crabhammer

That's simple click SD and watch Chesnaught fall down with a +2 Aerial Ace ;)

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Crawdaunt Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Chesnaught: 463-546 (121.8 - 143.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Crawdaunt Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Chesnaught: 234-276 (61.5 - 72.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Aerial Ace Barbaracle

Barbaracle @ (whatever you want, but I really like Life Orb)
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Shell Smash
- Aerial Ace
- Liquidation
- Stone Edge

+2 252 Atk Tough Claws Barbaracle Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 368-436 (96.8 - 114.7%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Normally, Barbaracle can't get past Chesnaught (because it resists both of Water/Rock STAB combination), but the addition of Aerial Ace changes this completely. It also allows Barbaracle to get past bulky Grass-type pokemons such as Tangela, Vileplume, Gourgeist, and Lilligant. Ice Beam would be perfect...if only it was a physical move.

P.S. You could think that a STAB Stone Edge is better than Aerial Ace, until you take in account the different accuracy.

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Barbaracle Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 184 Def Amoonguss: 406-478 (93.9 - 110.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Black Sludge recovery
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Barbaracle Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Tangela: 166-198 (49.7 - 59.2%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO (you have a higher chance to 2HKO this thing and with 100% accuracy, unlike with Stone Edge)
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Barbaracle Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 307-361 (86.7 - 101.9%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Black Sludge recovery

Tsareena (F) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Queenly Majesty
EVs: 136 HP / 132 Atk / 240 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Power Whip
- High Jump Kick
- Bounce

132 Atk Tsareena Supersonic Skystrike (160 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 380-448 (100 - 117.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Enough Speed to outspeed Jolly Bisharp and OHKO it with HJK while being able to 2HKO Scizor after Stealth Rocks with HJK. Power Whip is Tsareena's best STAB and is a nuke vs anything which doesn't resist it. Rapid Spin is there mainly for utility.

Nota Bene itsjustdrew, Chesnaught is a bad check to SD Cobalion / SD Terrakion because of Z-Close Combat :
+2 252 Atk Cobalion All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 303-357 (79.7 - 93.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Terrakion All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 387-456 (101.8 - 120%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Well BackAtYouBro swiped my Next Best Thing Bisharp set so I'll have to think of something new to lure Chester with.
Cobalion.png

Cobalion @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Close Combat
- Aerial Ace
This Cobalion always OHKOs Chester with fly-Z at +2.
+2 252 Atk Cobalion Supersonic Skystrike (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 512-604 (134.7 - 158.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
However, the difference between this and similar Fly-Z lures is that you're still the fantastic knock off soaker that Cobalion always is, and can bluff fightinium or steelium Z since Coba is already a very common Z user. Another bonus is that you also lure the likes of Amoonguss, which is also a consistent annoyance to Cobalion, and OHKOing that too.
+2 252 Atk Cobalion Supersonic Skystrike (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 512-604 (134.7 - 158.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Swampert @ Rindo Berry

Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Counter
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock / Toxic

4 Atk Chesnaught Wood Hammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Rindo Berry Swampert: 212-252 (52.4 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So this set is exclusively used to just lure in Chesnaught. With Rindo Berry you easily eat a Wood Hammer from Chesnaught and proceed to OHKO it back with Counter. The set still provides the same utility of the standard Swampert spread except you have to forgo the passive recovery and either rocks or toxic depending on what the team would need. The only other grass types it could lure in would be some random physical Mega Sceptile off the top of my head, as Tsareena still bops this thing. But counter in general is pretty nice for punishing Scizor or another Pokemon if it uses U-turn, the same being said for Mega Beedrill which has been rising in popularity recently.

Tired of all the sets that do lure Chesnaught in but sacrifice overall effectiveness or are just used to lure Chesnaught in and nothing else.

Swampert @ Icium Z
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 32 SpA / 32 SpD / 48 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Scald
- Blizzard

I wanted to bring this set in a later round of UU Open against an opponent who was known to spam Hydreigon and Chesnaught but I didn't fsr. The set works the same way Z-Ice Punch Swampert does but hits targets in the special side instead of the physical side. This set is especially useful against Pokemon like Gligar, Kommo-o, Chesnaught, and physically defensive Amoonguss which is rising in popularity now, but it still hits Dragon-type Z-Ice Punch hits; the Special Attack EVs ensure the OHKO on Hydreigon after Stealth Rock damage and on Chesnaught after a Spike or after a Scald. The Speed EVs ensures Swampert outspeeds up to uninvested Scizor and Chesnaught. The bulk makes Swampert as physically defensive as possible while minimizing the chance Hydreigon KOs Swampert with Z-Draco Meteor after Stealth Rock damage.

Smallsmallrose: This mans a Ruby doubting Bisharp stealing snake

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

I realized how much priority really matters now after the Blissey round. Chesnaught is generally an easy Bisharp switchin due to it easily absorbing all of the damage that Bisharp does with Drain Punch if Bisharp even makes an attempt. So yeah we got the good old vanilla Bisharp with the Aerial Ace to nail the Naught. After a Swords Dance boost, Aerial Ace is guarnteed the OHKO on Chesnaught. Also Jolly Sharp is shit Ada all the way.

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 458-541 (120.5 - 142.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Flygon @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Fly
- Fire Punch

It has fly in its name, of course it can do this. Last slot can be Dragon Claw, just went with Fire Punch here for forretress/rotom-mow
