Sorry for the absurd wait, congratulations to MistyTrapper for winning w/ NP Bat!!

The next pokemon we'll be luring is Mega Aggron. This pokemon has some similar lures to past mons we've used such as Cobalion and Bisharp... but because of Filter the options are leaning much more towards SpA based nukes. There should be some interesting lures here.

LURES ARE DUE BY SUNDAY NOV 18TH 11:59PM GMT -7

Aggron-Mega @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Block
- Curse
- Iron Head
- Rest

At this point, a fair amount of players will scout for block slowbro due to how it's more well known now. However, you'd have to be really paranoid to scout for other blockmons. Block MAggron does an amazing job trapping fat mons, which would include opposing aggron trying to set up sr, or assuming they can win with eq/fire punch wars due to having less chip. Iron Head is used over Heavy Slam for more pp. Leading with this set v other aggrons usually means you get a kill on their aggron while they only get rocks up (roar is pretty rare nowadays). Block MAggron isn’t unheard of by any means, but it definitely is able to do its job more consistently due to the popularity of lures like Babari/Z Toge, Z EP Celebi, Low Kick Bisharp etc. since the opponent won’t be scouting for it.

Togekiss @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 224 HP / 32 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere

Nasty Plot Fightinium Z is a really effective and well known way to lure Aggron-Mega.
The main goal is to Nasty Plot on Aggron-Mega's Switch-in and then to obliterate it with All-Out Pummeling.. plain as day !
EV spread allows Togekiss to ensure the OHKO on Aggron-Mega with +2 All-Out Pummeling while having some extra Bulk.

+2 32 SpA Togekiss All-Out Pummeling (160 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Filter Aggron-Mega: 343-405 (100 - 118%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Block
- Rest

So Block Slowbro has been a thing for a while now and easily lures in Mega Aggron and traps it with Block. After that you simply spam Calm Mind till you hit +6 then potentially sweep through the rest of your opponents squad or remove a massive wall for another pokemon. Scald being the primay choice of stab to potentially nail burns on Pokemon. Rest allows you to recover up as well as removing status, in this case Toxic from Mega Aggron. Regenerator is the prefered ability to be able to succesfully pivot throughout the game, until you feel it is a good time to Mega Evolve.

Didn't we JUST do Aggron in October? Regardless, I'm here with a nice little lure for Aggron. Its actually the one that won the last Megaggron week but shhh that's cause it's good
Scizor.png

Scizor @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Knock Off

+2 252+ Atk Scizor All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Filter Aggron-Mega: 322-381 (93.8 - 111%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
Aggron will come in trying to wallop Scizor with fire punch if it has it. Or even just roar it out of it's SD boosts. Scizor at +2 can unleash fightinium Z to completely blow Aggron out of the water.

EVs are adjustable as long as you keep max attack cause Scizor spreads are an enigma these days.

Steelix @ Steelixite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 208 Atk / 48 SpD
Brave Nature
- Block
- Rest
- Heavy Slam
- Curse

a block user no that no one will expect. It is pretty similar to the blocking set of mega aggron. Easily trap aggron while it tries to set up rocks, then set up curse. u can 2hko maggron at +2 and maggron cant do anything about it. Easily use rest as its recovery move.
It is also nice to have an electric immunity. Using Heavy slam as its stab moves cos earthquake cant hit mons that are flying.

Rejecting the block bro and block lix.
PSA: The mon has to actually be lured in. No one is going hard Aggron on mlix or mbro. Therefore these do not count as a lure. ALSO I'm well aware this is the second time we've done maggron, I apologize I'll take the heat for that ;-;.
