Gardevoir @ Choice Specs
Ability: Trace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Mystical Fire
- Trick / Psychic

Choice Specs Gardevoir is a formidable early- or mid-game wallbreaker that can help soften up teams for a teammate like Haxorus or Lucario to clean late-game with its great STAB attacks and unresisted coverage. Psyshock is preferred to Psychic for its ability to hit special walls such as Gigalith, Mantine, and Milotic, but Psychic does more damage to Doublade on the switch. Mystical Fire lets Gardevoir hit Steel-types such as Bronzong, Doublade, and Escavalier super effectively, making opponents think twice before sending them out. Trick is a great utility option in conjunction with Choice Specs, crippling walls such as Gigalith and Sylveon. Due to its frailty, pivots such as Flygon and Incineroar are great teammates; Flygon helps offensively check Haxorus, and Incineroar checks Steel- and Ghost-types such as Bronzong, Escavalier, and Chandelure, allowing Gardevoir spam Moonblast more freely. Steel-types such as Cobalion and Escavalier help by checking one of its main offensive checks in Roserade.

Choice Specs Gardevoir is a formidable early or mid-game wallbreaker that can help soften up teams for a teammate to clean late-game, due to its great STABs and unresisted coverage. Psyshock is preferred over Psychic due to its ability to hit specially defensive walls such as Gigalith, Mantine and Milotic, but Psychic can also be run for more physically defensive Pokemon such as Doublade and Galarian Weezing offensive Weezing is a lot better than defensive right now and is OHKO'd by Psyshock anyway, while defensive doesn't usually run Sludge Bomb. You can just say that it can be used to deal more damage to Doublade. Mystical Fire allows Gardevoir to hit Steel-types such as Bronzong and Doublade and Escavalier Super-Effectively, making opponents think twice before sending them out. Trick is a great utility option in conjunction with Choice Specs, crippling walls such as Gigalith and Vaporeon Sylveon (Vaporeon usage is pretty low atm and most are phys def which is very unreliable at switching into Gard and heavily reliant on protect turns against it). Due to its defensive frailty, teammates such as Flygon and Incineroar make great pivoting options who can also help against the aforementioned Steel-types Flygon doesn't help vs Escavalier/Bronzong, you can split this up and mention how Flygon can help offensively check Haxorus, while Incineroar can check the Steels, and ghost types like Chandy, allowing Gard to spam moonblast more freely. Bring up how Steel-types like Cobalion and Escavalier can help Gardevoir, by checking one of its main offensive checks in Roserade. Gardevoir is also a great source of support for offensive cleaners such as Haxorus and Lucario, facilitating a late-game sweep.
QC 1/1.
