U-turn lets it pivot out against Skarmory and Hippowdon to a teammate that can threaten them. Fire Punch lets Diggersby get past Celesteela and OHKO Scizor, but Spikes is a great alternative given the many switches it forces. Diggersby fits beautifully on VoltTurn teams, since they can give it opportunities to come in and break. Rotom-W is a great defensive pivot that can handle Mamoswine, Hippowdon, and Skarmory. Nihilego can potentially stack entry hazards with Diggersby and can handle Ground-immune Pokemon like Thundurus-T and Moltres, letting Diggersby use Earthquake more freely. Choice Specs Hydreigon and Swords Dance Cobalion are enabled by Diggersby handling faster Pokemon like Azelf.
