Thanks to a Speed stat as blazing as the fire on its head, Choice Scarf Infernape is one of the best revenge killers that UnderUsed has to offer. It can very adequately revenge kill a few top threats, including Terrakion, Scizor, and Mega Sharpedo, while luring in and pivoting out of its checks thanks to its access to U-turn, which allows it to fit well on offensive builds. This allows it to pair nicely with sweepers like Latias and Mega Altaria by bringing them into play safely while taking care of faster Pokemon that threaten them and opposing sweepers. It also has good synergy with wallbreakers like Nidoking and Terrakion due to its ability to chip walls well with U-turn, while it appreciates their ability to power through defensive threats that Infernape often can't take on. Infernape's poor bulk and semi-middling power may at first turn you off from using it, though it is a considerable pick on any offensive team due to its unmatched offensive utility as an answer to several defining sweepers.
