Week 13 is over and the winner is.....MEW! Congratulations to our winner, and onto the next week!

Week 13 - Thundurus-I!

:ss/thundurus:
Thundurus (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Knock Off
- Psychic
- U-turn

Thundy-I is a great pivot with an amazing speed tier, Knock Off being a great piece of utility to cripple defensive checks like Chansey. However, it's middling bulk and weakness to priority and common offensive Pokemon like Nihilego and Scizor, so it needs a partner to really help it burst through teams, or perhaps a Pokemon to burst through thanks to it's utility in U-turn and Knock Off?

You have 5 days to submit, good luck!

Magnum get trolled :pimp:
:ss/primarina:
Primarina @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Psychic

- Scald

Primarina can be a great partner for Thundurus since it can greatly abuse its ability to Knock Off the items from the kinds of AV Tangrowth and Chansey. It can also abuse Thundurus's ability to pivot out of Mamoswine and Nidoqueen to fire off a Choice Specs Hydro Pump. It also really likes Thundurus's ability to pressure Water-types like Tentacruel and Volcanion.

Zarude-Dada @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Darkest Lariat
- Power Whip
- U-turn
- Jungle Healing

Straightforward Volt-Turn (or Turn-Turn if that works :v) core. Dada baits in stuff like Clanger, Buzzwole, Scizor, Moltres and Guss that Thundurus-Incarnate can either pressure or remove with some chip. In return Zarude switches into Rhyperior, Raikou to some extend, Krook and some less relevant stuff like the water/grounds that Thundurus can only annoy with repeated Knocks/Uturns. Both work well as an offensive core as they can overwhelm the slower defensive cores with hazard support through repeated U-turns, as both are extremely hard to punish when it comes to clicking moves.

:ss/keldeo:

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Air Slash
- Scald

Keldeo is one of the best Pokemon to pair with Thundurus, as they have excellent offensive synergy together. They're both highspeed specially offensive threats, which means that a lot of their checks and counters overlap, notably AV Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Slowbro-G, and Mew. Thundurus can take advantage of these overlapping checks with its access to Knock Off, crippling the likes of AV tang, Gbro, and Amoonguss, Meanwhile, its access to U-turn allows it to safely pivot in Keldeo on Ground-types like Nidoqueen, Krookodile, Mamoswine, and Rhyperiorn. Keldeo also has the option to run Flip Turn, to form a VoltTurn core

@ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Technician
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Roost

Scizor pairs very well with thundurus as it is able to make a pivot core with thundurus and constantly forcing pressure. It helps thundurus with grass types such as tangrowth, tapu bulu, and other pokemon such as nihilego, and lycanroc-d. Thundurs helps scizor with dealing with pokemon such as moltres, rotom-heat, salamence, and aegislash by knocking them off and hitting them with thunderbolts to pressure them even more.

And Week 13 goes to laevin! Congratulations, onto Week 14!

Week 14: Pelipper!

:ss/pelipper:

Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Roost
- U-turn
- Defog

With the Pelican dropping down to UU, Rain teams are popping off with it's brand new setter having reliable recovery, a way of getting rid of hazards and a way to position it's powerful breakers with U-turn. So then, who is the best breaker? You have 5 days to submit, good luck!

Zygarde-10% @ Choice Band
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
- Outrage
- Toxic

This may seem a bit odd, but it works. Why would you use this over Seismitoad? It can actually threaten Rotom-W with Thousand Arrows, one of rain's best answers. It can switch into Volt Switch and keep Pelipper healthy. Zydog also can Toxic other rain answers such as Tangrowth which helps as well.

Pelipper and barra are a match made in heaven. Pelipper offers all barra needs: a setter for it to go ham in rain, hazard control to keep barra from being worn down, and U-turn to bring it in safely due to its frailty. In turn, barra can destroy an opposite team.

Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder
- Focus Blast
- Psychic

Thundurus-t is strong on rain due to 100% accuracy thunders, absorbing electric attacks that are directed at pelliper, and can apply a lot of offensive pressure on its own especially with nasty plot. It is already terrifying to face but thunders have more power and are more likely ruin a pokemon with paralysis

Keldeo!
:ss/keldeo-resolute:
Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Surf
- Secret Sword
- Air Slash

I basically submitted this thing already but with politoed, and I stand by it. Keldeo under rain is a cheat code as its Hydro Pumps just basically vaporise eveything in sight, pelipper is even better than politoed as it can pivot and bring the pony into some of peli's checks.
Keldeo is imo one of rains most important staples and thats why we submitting.

Thank you all for participating, I am going to be breaking this week’s tie and voting with Barraskewda! Later today i’ll update the winners list, but onto Round 14!

Round 15: Nidoking!
:ss/nidoking:

Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Nidoking’s addition to the tier has a lot of opposing Pokémon on their toes, with it’s impeccable coverage and ability to fire off these moves with the combination of Sheer Force and Life Orb, it doesn’t have many comfortable switch-ins. However, it is weak to Knock Off as losing its item is terrible for it and it’s speed tier isn’t exactly the best, so something on the quicker side normally works excellently to pair with. You have 5 days to submit, good luck!

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Poison Jab

mienshao is an amazing partner for nidoking, as not only can it bring nidoking in through pivoting with U-turn, it also helps break Pokémon like chansey that nidoking struggles with
