Choice Specs Primarina is a very potent early- or mid-game wallbreaker that can soften foes up for a teammate to clean late-game, as its Water / Fairy typing gives it unresisted coverage against almost all of the UU metagame with its powerful STAB moves alone. With Psychic, Primarina has the ability to hit Tentacruel and Amoonguss super effectively, removing the pressure that said foes put on it due to their Poison typing. Its high Special Attack allows it to even threaten some specially defensive Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, with a high chance to 2HKO it after Stealth Rock. However, it struggles with walls like Blissey and so appreciates strong physical wallbreakers, such as Heracross, to support it. In addition, its subpar Speed leaves it outrun by common threats such as Mega Manectric and Serperior, so pairing it with a Choice Scarf user such as Hydreigon or Infernape removes some of the pressure that said threats apply.

Choice Specs Primarina is a very potent early- or mid-game wallbreaker that can soften foes up for a teammate to clean late-game, as its Primarina's Water / Fairy typing gives it unresisted coverage against almost all of the UU metagame with its powerful STAB moves alone, (rc) and when combined with Choice Specs, it hits extremely hard and threatens the majority of the tier; as a result, it is a very potent early- or mid-game wallbreaker that can soften foes up for a teammate to clean late-game. With Psychic, Primarina has the ability to hit Tentacruel and Amoonguss super effectively, removing the pressure that said foes put on it due to their Poison typing. Its high Special Attack allows it to even threaten some special walls such as Alolan Muk (muk isn't really a wall, more so a tank. just call it specially defensive Pokemon), with a high chance to 2HKO it after Stealth Rock. However, it struggles with other walls like Blissey and so (just linking these together better instead of sounding like two separate things) appreciates strong physical wallbreakers, such as Heracross, to support it. In addition, its subpar Speed leaves it outrun by common threats such as Mega Manectric and Serperior, so pairing it with a Choice Scarf user such as Hydreigon or Infernape removes some of the pressure that said threats apply.
