UU Team

ive made 4 different UU teams and this is the most successful one so far, so i decided to write it up here. Please rate it and tell me what i could do better about it :)

Lead/special attacker
Mesprit
Set - choice scarf lead
Ability: Levitate
Item: choice scarf
Nature: Jolly
EVs:52 hp, 204 atk, 252spe
Moves:
Stealth Rocks
Trick
U-turn
Zen Headbutt
Description: this is my least successful pokemon on my team, but the idea is to trick a defensive set up pokemon, or stealth rock and get out if its more offensive. U-turn is to use if the opposing pokemon is dangerous to mesprit.

Special Sweeper
Venusaur
Set - Life Orb Special
Ability: Overgrow
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Evs: 4 hp, 252sp.atk,252spe
Moves:
Sludge Bomb
Leaf storm
Synthesis
Sleep powder
Description: Sludge bomb is STAB, Leaf storm is.. well.. a good move on strong pokemon. Synthesis is if Venusaur needs hp and is against a sleeping foe. Sleep powder is useful when the opponent is switching to a counter.

Physical sweeper/bulker
Hitmontop
Set - Bulk Up
Ability: technician
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252hp, 252atk, 4def.
Moves:
Bulk Up
Revenge
Sucker Punch
Stone Edge
Description: I use Bulk Up for stats while opponent may have a physical attacker, unable to finish hitmontop, revenge is for STAB, since technician buffs it, it will be the best move unless my other moves are super effective. Sucker Punch is for mind games and coverage. Stone Edge is for the flying pokemon it most likely lure, and type coverage.

Special Wall
Registeel
Set - UU Tank
Ability: Clear Body
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252hp, 100atk, 156sp.def
Moves:
Stealth Rock
Thunder Wave
Earth Quake
Iron Head
Description: I have 2 pokemon with stealth rock just in case one of them fails. when i send in registeel, first i use stealth rock(unless mesprit did that), then i use thunder wave to cripple my foe. EQ is for coverage, iron head is STAB.

Physical Wall
Weezing
Set - Physical Wall
Ability: Levitate
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252hp, 252def, 4sp.atk
Moves:
Fire Blast
Thunderbolt
Will-o-Wisp
Pain Split
Description: Since weezing can switch in on both fighting and Ground(such as EQ), i can easily throw it in on a physical pokemon, and use WoW. Fire blast is chosen over flamethrower because it has high power, and since weezing is a wall it has low attack stats and needs power. thunderbolt is used as a more accurate attack, and is picked over thunder because thunder has 30% miss chance. WoW is for crippling physical attackers. Pain Split is to recover.

Surpriser???
Mismagius
Set - perish trap
Ability: Levitate
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252hp,40spe,216sp.def
Moves:
Mean Look
Perish Song
Protect
Taunt
Description: I love odd pokemon the opponent barely can predict, the plan is to use it against a sturdy wall with weak attacks. first i use mean look, then theyre locked on to me, and then taunt to make sure they dont roar/whirlwind me away. then we go with perish song, then protect, and protect again(there goes 2 turns, maybe protect fails at 2nd time but thats a risk im gonna take), then I switch on third turn, and since my opponent is still locked, it dies, and i get a free kill.

Please come with your opinions :)

I am thinking that instead of Mesprit you should use Uxie. Mesprit isn't as good and Uxie is annoying as crap, plus I think it tricks better. Just use the standard Smogon set.

Next lets take mismaguis out completely (I know your fond of it but perish trapping isnt so good as you will most likely mean look mismagius's counter and then get OHKOed by the counter), and put in a Swords Dance Absol. I say this because I am focusing on Hitmontop as your sweeper. Venusaur can already handle Hitmontops true counter, Slowbro, but things like Spiritomb and opposing Weezing make hitmontop cry. Absol isn't supposed to be another sweeper (although he can act as one if necessary) but more a lure for Spriitomb and Weezing. Your Swords Dance on the switch, and then 1-2HKO them with Night Slash and Psycho Cut respectively.

Hello!

Your lack of fire resist is pretty notable -- Arcanine and Moltres can come in on Mismagius WoWs, or some of Venusaurs Grass moves and prepare to tear a good portion of your team before you have something to "check them", in your case Scarf Mesprit or Sucker Punch Hitmontop, both of which aren't reliable answers to said threats at all.

For your Mismagius, who apart from being an annoying Perish trapper doesn't seem to serve any purpose on your team as Ground/Fighting is covered by Weezing, you don't need a Spin blocker, and you aren't using it offensively, I would recommend replacing it for something who can better address those threats to your team. Your team would really love a Bulky Water, one who can soak up hits from Registeel and Venusaur and act as more of a backbone figure to your team if anything.

For this reason, I would recommend Milotic to your team. Milotic is one of the best responses to Arcanine, Moltres, and even Blaziken which gives your teams a bit of a problem as well.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Bold 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Surf / HP Grass / Haze / Recover

To better prepare yourself against set up sweepers, Milotic provides a fairly decent check against pokemon such as Curse Umbreon, so you don't have to switch to Hitmontop and get potentially weakened after every switch in. You need to watch out for Spikes especially -- Froslass leads can get 2 layers up easy on your team.

Though you probably like Hitmontop's sheer strength with Bulk Up, I would suggest at least trying out the Spinning top set.

Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Adamant 252 hp / 252 atk / 4 spe
Close Combat / Foresight / Rapid Spin / Stone Edge

Getting spin on UU teams, especially those who can let Froslass get a couple layers up here and there and actually care about the residual damage is pretty important. Hitmontop is one of the best spinners in UU and can provide excellent coverage against residual damage without particularly hurting the synergy of your team.

Good team, good luck in future UU laddering endeavors!

ok so i made some changes to my team, keeping only weezing unchanged.

Mesprit switched out to:
Drifblim
Nature:Mild(+sp.atk, -def)
Ability:Unburden
Item:Focus sash
EVs: 168 atk, 252 sp. atk, 88 spe
IVs:HP/Def/SP.Def=2, Atk=31,SP.Atk/Spe=30
Moveset:
explosion, Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Hidden Power(Fighting, 70 base power)
Description: having a substitute baton pass drifblim being the most common, this one will be hard to predict, the plan is: Whichever pokemon comes out first, use hypnosis, then crush it with SB/HP(fight) combination, as soon as the opponent hits drifblim to 1 health, focus sash will be"consumed" and cause a speed increase due to unburden, letting me outspeed my opponent and go BOOM!
Threats: Lead Rhyperior with rock blast gives drifblim problems.

Changes to registeel listed(non listed is non changed):
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SP.Def, 4 Def
Moveset:
Seismic Toss, Thunder Wave, Stealth Rocks, Rest
Description: leaving registeel with a fighting move gives it an issue with ghosts, but thats taken care of by the rest of the team, registeel is just supposed to T-wave the opponent, set up stealth rocks, and switch(unless the opponent does that first).
Threats: maybe a few fire types, Registeel takes 55% damage from Choice Scarf Absol using super power, second will be about 46% which just barely DOESNT kill registeel, meaning registeel can use rest, and abuse Paralyze hax.
Weakness: Ghost types are Unhittable(especially Rotom), meaning its bound to switch or stall the opponent till he does.

Mismagius has been switched out to:
Milotic
Nature: Bold
Ability: Marvel Scale
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 248 HP, 252 Def, 8 Spe
Moveset:
Surf, Hidden Power(Grass, 70 base power),Haze, Recover
Description: Plus suggested me this set, and milotic can actually absorb thunder bolts from pokemon like raichu. also it can absorb Hidden Power Grass.
Weakness: Trick

Hitmontop has been switched out to:
Drapion
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sniper
Item: Scope lens
EVs: 252 atk, 6 def, 252 spe
Moveset:
Night Slash, Ice fang, Swords dance, Earth Quake
Description: Scope lens increases chance to crit, Night slash has high crit ratio, nice combination. Ice fang covers dragons, grass, and flying types. Earth Quake covers steel, rock and fire types. Swords dance up, and then sweep.

Venusaur has been switched out to:
Blaziken
Nature:Mild
Ability:Blaze
Item:Life Orb
EVs:6 atk, 252 sp.atk, 252spe
Moveset:
Fire Blast, Super Power, Hidden Power(Grass, 70 Base Power),vacuum wave
Description: i've tried several times with absol, but it just didnt work properly, so im trying blaziken. the set is to clear the way for drapion to sweep.

Overall Threats: Regice+Defensive Rhyperior gives my team problems, even before i replaced venusaur.

Im sure ive acquired a new weakness somewhere now :P

Oh just after sending the other message i joined a OU battle with my team by mistake, Drifblim fell to the opponents togekiss, and afterwards my blaziken fell to the opponents uxie because i mispredicted a trick on my weezing. then i send out my drapion, and used swords dance, while uxie my mistake used psychic. and i swept the entire OU team.

which means my team can beat a OU team, and that my drapion is a great sweeper.
