No. You couldn't use them then, you can't use them now, simple.

I really don't think changing the rules after Round 1 has already been posted is the best idea. The option to make this round "Old UU" should probably be taken out of the poll, it's way too late to change the format of this round as people are already doing their matches.

I can't edit the poll, but Round 1 won't be changed. The middle option is moot, and PlatHGSS moves will have to be allowed this round.

In my opinion, HGSS/Platinum moves should be banned for all rounds in which they didn't exist. Morning Sun Arcanine, Head Smash Aggron, Brave Bird Honchkrow, Aura Sphere Raikou, etc. probably would have made this metagame far more different than it actually was. Also, logs don't even have to be sent unless a violation of the rule actually occurs, seeing as it's pretty easy for the opposing player to catch.

As far as plat/hgss moves go, I have no clue what's legal, if a list can get assembled about what's banned on mons, that'd be muchos helpful

This could just be done Benjamin Button-ish, starting with current UU and going down, to avoid hasty changes on the format. It would suck that people have to wait so long and win so many battles to play in a substantially different metagame though.

Okay, the TDs (namely Earthworm + KG) have PMed me with a ruling: HGSS moves are NOT allowed until they have been released. Please do not conduct your battles until I have compiled a list of the disallowed moves.

Edit: Thanks to Earthworm I have the HGSS moves. These moves will be disallowed in rounds until after September 2009 (in tourney)
