Welcome to the 2026 SV UnderUsed Ladder Tournament! In this tournament, players will compete for a top spot on the ladder, and the top 8 from each cycle will then qualify for the playoffs phase. On top of that, qualifying will yield points for the official UnderUsed Circuit, in which players will compete at the end of the year for a chance to earn one of the coveted ribbons.

To further explain the tournament, let's take a look at the separate stages.
Qualifying Phase
Every week a new alt format will be required. You MUST sign up on the weeks thread before you play a game on the account or you will be disqualified and may face further repercussions. Your account name must match your forum name, in a case of not enough characters this must match as closely as possible, trying to impersonate other users is also grounds for an infration.
We will be running with the top 8 performers each week qualifying as in previous years. Those who manage to claim one of the spots will be part of the playoffs phase. The #9 and #10 of each week will be used as potential substitutes, should they be needed, and the order of substitutes is also determined by ELO. This list of substitutes will be based off ELO over all 4 weeks and ordered, not based off of the week a person who needs a sub qualified on.
Players who qualify or are a substitute may play again the next week, if they qualify then the following changes will happen,
Week 2 - Monday 15th June - Ends 5am +1 Sunday
Week 3 - Monday 22th June - Ends 11am +1 Sunday
Week 4 - Monday 29th June - Ends 5pm +1 Sunday
Playoffs Phase
This part is fairly straight-forward. During this stage, the top 32 will face off in a single elimination, Best-of-3 SV UU bracket. The first stage of the playoffs phase, where the 32 qualified players will battle each other in a swiss bracket to see who moves on to the top 16. Players continue playing in this swiss stage until they have won or lost two matches. In the second stage of playoffs, where only 16 remaining players remain, they will battle each other in a single elimination bracket to see who wins the whole thing.

The seeding for playoffs is as follows. Seeding was decided by ELO first priority, with ties decided firstly by higher placement # in a week and then by week # if a tie still existed.

- Substitute Player: If they qualify in a future week, then they are removed from the substitute list going forward.
- Qualified Player: Their ELO changes to the new ELO for seeding purposes, but they won't count towards the qualifying 8 players for this new week, and will be skipped over when generating this list.
