[OVERVIEW]

Mega Venusaur's great physical and special bulk, key resistances to prominent types like Water, Electric, Grass, and Fairy, and ability Thick Fat to take away two weaknesses render it a great defensive check to a number of the best Pokemon in the tier. More specifically, it is able to switch into and beat almost every variant of Mega Mawile, Tapu Bulu, and Magearna and check Kartana and Tapu Koko very handily. It can also take advantage of a lot of more passive defensive Pokemon, such as Ferrothorn, Tapu Fini, and Tangrowth. Mega Venusaur's Poison typing allows it to remove Toxic Spikes on entry, making it a valuable addition to teams weak to them. It is able to differentiate itself from Amoonguss with Thick Fat, which enables it to take moves like Ice Beam from Magearna and Fire Fang from Mega Mawile comfortably, much bigger immediate bulk, and significantly better offensive presence. However, Amoonguss has access to Regenerator, can hold an item, and doesn't take up the team's Mega slot, giving it a decent niche over Mega Venusaur. While it is a good Water-type answer, it is not a reliable Choice Specs Greninja switch-in on its own, as Dark Pulse does too much for Mega Venusaur to check it consistently; thus, it requires a different one besides itself. While Mega Venusaur's typing is fantastic defensively, wallbreakers that can exploit said typing like Tornadus-T, Mega Alakazam, and Tapu Lele pose a huge threat to it. Furthermore, its main form of reliable recovery, Synthesis, has a measly 8 PP, meaning Mega Venusaur cannot last deep into late-game without outside support, especially since it can be forced into awkward situations where it is forced to use Synthesis more often than it'd like. Its recovery is also lowered to 25% by both rain and sand, reducing its otherwise high effectiveness against those archetypes.

Moves
========

Leech Seed allows Mega Venusaur to keep itself healthy throughout the game without relying on Synthesis's small number of PP. It works great on forced switches, allowing Mega Venusaur to beat Mega Mawile and Magearna with a lot more ease, gradually chip its checks, and avoid being entirely passive while healing, helping its teammates in the process. Mega Venusaur is also able to deter the Grass-types that would be able to absorb it otherwise thanks to Sludge Bomb and Hidden Power Fire. Sludge Bomb is its strongest option against the Fairy-types it checks so well like Clefable and the Island Guardians. Its 30% chance of poisoning also disrupts checks like Tornadus-T and Tyranitar. Hidden Power Fire is required in order to beat Steel-types like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Celesteela, Kartana, and Mega Scizor and prevent Ferrothorn from getting free turns to set up Spikes against Mega Venusaur.

Set Details
========

Chlorophyll is chosen as the pre-Mega ability for the rare case of sun being present, as Overgrow is entirely useless; this set does not carry a Grass-type move. The EV spread listed allows Venusaur to survive two Dark Pulses from Choice Specs Greninja after Stealth Rock while outspeeding maximum Speed Mega Mawile. The rest is dumped into Defense to make Mega Venusaur a worthwhile Mega Mawile, Kartana, and Tapu Bulu check.

Usage Tips
========
Mega Venusaur appreciates being brought in safely through doubles and U-turn or Volt Switch in order to threaten the opposition with Leech Seed and Sludge Bomb. Despite this, it's very capable of switching into a large number of attacks and shrugging them off, such as Mega Mawile's Play Rough, Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech, Kartana's Leaf Blade, and Magearna's Fleur Cannon. However, Mega Venusaur is much more limited in recovery compared to defensive walls like Toxapex due to Synthesis's low PP; it should not be brought in on powerful attacks repeatedly, as it can be overwhelmed. For this reason, Mega Venusaur should be wary of switching into entry hazards, and accordingly, try to limit or remove them as much as possible. Mega Venusaur should attempt to use Leech Seed and Sludge Bomb as often as possible, as those moves provide the greatest results, both immediately and long-term. Using Leech Seed often will help both Mega Venusaur itself and its teammates, as it will allow Mega Venusaur to prolong its life without relying on Synthesis but also alleviate pressure for a teammate switching into Heatran or Tornadus-T, and Sludge Bomb poisoning Tornadus-T makes Mega Venusaur's life much easier. Hidden Power Fire should be used on Mega Mawile, Magearna, and Celesteela after they have already been hit by Leech Seed as well as on Ferrothorn and Kartana. Synthesis should only be used when Mega Venusaur absolutely requires the instant healing burst, as it kills momentum for the user and has very limited use due to its low PP.

Team Options
========
Celesteela is arguably Mega Venusaur's most effective partner; it can switch into Pokemon Mega Venusaur cannot deal with, such as Tornadus-T, Mega Alakazam, and Tapu Lele while Venusaur itself deals with Pokemon Celesteela hates facing, such as Tangrowth and Zapdos. It also helps pressure their mutual checks, like Heatran, and alleviate pressure off Mega Venusaur for checking Kartana and Tapu Bulu. Tapu Fini is an excellent entry hazard remover and Heatran check and provides another Ash-Greninja check. Conversely, Mega Venusaur checks Grass-types like Kartana and Electric-types like Tapu Koko for it. Tornadus-T is another great entry hazard remover for Mega Venusaur. It can also get Mega Venusaur in for free on Celesteela, Mega Mawile, Tapu Koko, and Magearna, while both Tornadus-T and Mega Venusaur pressure Heatran. Rotom-W can use Defog for Mega Venusaur, switch into Heatran and Tornadus-T, and pressure common checks like Toxapex. It also provides a secondary Water-type answer, albeit not an Ash-Greninja check. Defensive Magearna variants like Assault Vest and Heart Swap can switch into and check Tornadus-T, Tapu Lele, Mega Alakazam, and Ash-Greinnja, helping Mega Venusaur perform its role more easily. They also pressure Heatran and can bring Mega Venusaur in safely through Volt Switch. Swords Dance Garchomp is a strong Heatran check and a good Fire-type answer and can take advantage of Toxapex, Tapu Lele, and Tornadus-T while providing Stealth Rock utility to the team.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Deviating from the main set is generally not advised; however, some alternatives are available if absolutely required. Earthquake can be used over Hidden Power Fire if Magnezone is used alongside Mega Venusaur as a different way of dealing with Mega Mawile and Magearna along with hitting Heatran. Giga Drain is Mega Venusaur's best option for an offensive Grass-type STAB attack but doesn't function nearly as effectively as other options and should be avoided unless absolutely needed. Sleep Powder and Knock Off are both semi-viable alternatives to Leech Seed; however, they are extremely fringe and should not be considered in the very vast majority of cases.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Psychic-types**: Although most Psychic-types like Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele can't directly switch into Mega Venusaur with the exception of Reuniclus, they can take advantage of it in order to break after getting in through double switches and U-turn or Volt Switch.

**Flying-types**: Tornadus-T dislikes being poisoned by Sludge Bomb; however, due to Regenerator, it can get away with it and put pressure on Mega Venusaur. Gliscor completely walls Mega Venusaur and can use it as setup fodder.

**Strong Fire-types**: Heatran, both Charizard Mega Evolutions, Volcarona, and even Victini can muscle through Venusaur despite Thick Fat.

**Chip Damage**: Due to its lack of consistent long-term healing, Mega Venusaur is quite prone to being chipped down, especially through entry hazards, and can be put into scenarios where it can no longer check what it's supposed to.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar prevents Mega Venusaur's Synthesis from healing it any significant amount, rendering it significantly harder to use, can Pursuit trap it, and doesn't fear Sludge Bomb.

**Reuniclus**: Reuniclus is able to ignore Leech Seed and Sludge Bomb poisoning thanks to Magic Guard while taking insignificant damage from the latter, meaning it can freely use Mega Venusaur as setup fodder.

**Toxapex**: While not being able to touch it directly outside of burning it with Scald, Toxapex completely walls Mega Venusaur and has access to Regenerator, coming out of their exchange ahead quite comfortably.

  • Despite all Mega Venusaur offers, it suffers from a few glaring flaws keeping it from being truly great.
  • While it is a good Water resist, it is not a reliable Specs Greninja switch on its own and requires a different one besides itself. Specify why this is the case.
  • It is very abusable by some of the strongest breakers in the tier, like Tornadus-T, Tapu Lele and Mega Alakazam. I think you should frame this more like "while Mega Venusaur has a good defensive typing, it leaves it liable against Pokemon like x y and z."
  • Furthermore, its main form of reliable recovery, Synthesis, has a measly 8 PP, meaning Mega Venusaur cannot last deep into the late game without outside support. You could also say something about the fact that Mega Venusaur can be forced into awkward spots when it has to use Synthesis.

  • Leech Seed allows Mega Venusaur to keep itself healthy throughout the game without relying on Synthesis's small amount of PP. It works great on forced switches, allowing Mega Venusaur to gradually chip its checks and not be entirely passive while healing, helping its teammates in the process. Mention that Grass-types can't really switch in to absorb it thanks to Sludge Bomb. You could also mention how it quickly wears down Heatran.
  • Sludge Bomb is its strongest option against the Fairy types it checks so well, like Clefable and the Tapus. Its 30% chance of poisoning also disrupts checks like Tornadus-T and Tyranitar.
  • Hidden Power Fire is required in order to beat Steel types like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Ferrothorn, Celesteela and Mega Scizor. Preventing Ferrothorn from setting free Spikes is particularly notable to the point where I think you can make it a separate mention.
Set Details
========

  • Chlorophyll is chosen pre-Mega Evolving in the rare case of Sun being present, as Overgrow is entirely useless; this set does not carry a Grass move.
  • The Special Defense listed allows Venusaur to survive 2 Specs Dark Pulses after Stealth Rock from Greninja while outspeeding max Speed Mega Mawile.
  • The rest is dumped into Defense to make it a worthwhile Mawile and Kartana check.
Usage Tips

  • Despite this, it's very capable of switching into a large number of attacks and shrugging them off. Mawile's Play Rough, Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech, Kartana's Leaf Blade and Magearna's Fleur Cannon are some examples.
  • However, Mega Venusaur is much more limited in recovery compared to defensive walls like Toxapex due to Synthesis low PP; it should not be brought in powerful attacks repeatedly as it can be overwhelmed.
  • For this reason, Mega Venusaur loves hazards not being on its side of the field. Try to remove them or limit them when Mega Venusuar is needed multiple times throughout the match. I think you can word this better. Something like "Because of this, Mega Venusaur should be wary of switching into hazards, and this is also why you should remove or limit hazards as much as possible" works.
  • Mega Venusaur should attempt to click Leech Seed and Sludge Bomb as often as possible, as those moves provide the greatest results, both immediately and long-term. Leech Seeding often will help both Mega Venusaur itself and its teammates, as it will allow Mega Venusaur to prolong its life without relying on Synthesis but also alleviate pressure from a teammate switching into Heatran or Tornadus-T, and Sludge Bomb poisoning Tornadus-T makes Mega Venusaur's life much easier.
  • Hidden Power Fire should be used on Mega Mawile, Magearna and Celesteela after they have already been Leech Seeded, as well as Ferrothorn and Kartana.
  • Synthesis should only be used when Mega Venusaur absolutely requires the instant healing burst, as it kills momentum for the user and has very limited use due to its low number of PP.
Team Options
========
  • Celesteela is arguably Mega Venusaur's most effective partner; it can switch into the aforementioned Psychic types and Flying types Mention the Psychic- and Flying-types in particular. As a general rule of thumb, try to not cross reference stuff throughout analyses. Mega Venusaur cannot deal with, while Venusaur itself deals with Pokemon Celesteela hates facing, such as Tangrowth and Zapdos. It also helps pressure their mutual checks, like Heatran, and alleviate pressure off each other being required to check Kartana or Tapu Bulu.
  • Tapu Fini is an excellent hazard remover, Heatran check and provides another Greninja-Ash check. Conversely, Mega Venusaur checks Grass types like Kartana and Electric types like Tapu Koko for it.
  • Tornadus-T is another great hazard remover for Mega Venusaur. It can also get Mega Venusaur in for free on Celesteela, Mega Mawile, Tapu Koko and Magearna, while both of them pressure Heatran.
  • Rotom-W can Defog for Mega Venusaur, switch into Heatran and Tornadus-T & pressure common checks like Toxapex. It also provides a secondary Water resist(albeit not a Greninja-Ash check).
  • Defensive Magearna variants can switch into and check Tornadus-T, Tapu Lele, Mega Alakazam and Greninja-Ash, helping Mega Venusaur perform its role easier. It also pressures Heatran and can bring Mega Venusaur in safely through Volt Switch. Specify "defensive" Magearna sets. Do you mean Heart Swap, Assault Vest, or maybe even bulky Calm Mind + Pain Split variants? What I'm trying to say is that it most likely is not immediately obvious to the reader.
  • Garchomp is a strong offensive Heatran check, a good Fire resist and can take advantage of Toxapex, Tapu Lele and Tornadus-T while providing Stealth Rock utility to the team.

  • Deviating from the main set with Mega Venusaur is generally not advised.
  • Earthquake can be used over Hidden Power Fire if Magnezone is used alongside Mega Venusaur. What does Earthquake allow Mega Venusaur to hit?
  • Sleep Powder and Knock Off are both semi-viable alternatives to Leech Seed, however they are extremely fringe and should not be considered in the very vast majority of cases.
  • You should definitely mention Giga Drain, even if it's just to suggest that Mega Venusaur shouldn't run it pretty much ever.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Psychic types**: Although most Psychic types Mention them. can't directly switch into Mega Venusaur with the exception of Reuniclus, they can take advantage of it in order to break through doubles and U-turns or Volt Switches. Solid checks against them, both offensively and defensively, are entirely needed when using Mega Venusaur. The Checks and Counters section shouldn't talk about Mega Venusaur's teammates, it should purely focus on what can answer Mega Venusaur. Ofcourse, this can lead to some inspiring situations on what to use with Mega Venusaur, but that's generally what Team Options is for.

**Flying types**: Tornadus-T dislikes being poisoned by Sludge Bomb, however, due to Regenerator, it can get away with it and put pressure on the Mega Venusaur user. Gliscor completely walls Mega Venusaur and can use it as setup fodder.

**Strong Fire types**: Heatran, both Mega Charizards, Volcarona and even Victini can muscle through Venusaur despite Thick Fat.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar prevents Mega Venusaur's Synthesis from healing it any significant amount, rendering it significantly harder to use, can Pursuit it and doesn't fear Sludge Bomb.

**Toxapex**: While not being able to touch it directly outside of burning it with Scald, it completely walls it in return and has access to Regenerator, coming out of their exchange ahead quite comfortably.

I think you should add chip damage as a section because Mega Venusaur can be worn down relatively quickly. Alternatively you could maybe include it with Tyranitar.

Its Poison typing allows it to remove Toxic Spikes on entry, making it a valuable addition to Toxapex-weak teams.
Well it doesnt really help with toxapex weak teams, but rather tspikes weak teams. This can be confusing since you put pex in checks/counters, and gren is also a viable tspiker.

It is able to differentiate itself from Amoonguss with Thick Fat making it weak to fewer things,
I think you should specify that this helps it against coverage moves like ice beam from magearna and fire fang from mawile

Hidden Power Fire is required in order to beat Steel types like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Celesteela and Mega Scizor, as well as preventing Ferrothorn from getting free turns to use Spikes against Mega Venusaur.
No mention of Kart? I'd probably put it over celesteela or put steela in a seperate sentence with ferro since hp fire does 20 and youre just leech + synth pp waring

The Special Defense listed allows Venusaur to survive 2 Specs Dark Pulses after Stealth Rock from Greninja while outspeeding max Speed Mega Mawile.
You should say "EV spread listed" or smth to avoid confusion that spdef lets it outspeed mawile lol

The rest is dumped into Defense to make it a worthwhile Mawile and Kartana check
Maybe mention CB Bulu aswell since the nature + evs help it take banded edge after hazards

Garchomp is a strong offensive Heatran check, a good Fire resist and can take advantage of Toxapex, Tapu Lele and Tornadus-T while providing Stealth Rock utility to the team.
I think it can be a bit confusing when you say chomp takes advantage of lele. Specify which chomp variant and explain how it deals with them.

Earthquake can be used over Hidden Power Fire if Magnezone is used alongside Mega Venusaur as a different way of dealing with Mega Mawile and Magearna.
Heatran is pretty big too

**Psychic types**: Although most Psychic types like Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele can't directly switch into Mega Venusaur with the exception of Reuniclus, they can take advantage of it in order to break through doubles and U-turns or Volt Switches.
Reuni is hell for venu, I'd make a seperate sentence for it, mentioning that it ignores leech and sludge bomb poison

Is this BB Greninja before or after the transformation? If before, 252/68 is all you need. If after, even 252/252+ isn't guaranteed to avoid the 2HKO after SR.
252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 68 SpD Venusaur-Mega: 135-159 (37 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock (yes, I changed its spa in the calculator to 103)
252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Venusaur-Mega: 141-166 (38.7 - 45.6%) -- 14.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock (this is its spa after the transformation)

I'd tone down Venu's ability to check Kartana, Banded Smart Strike does a ton upon switch in, and Venu could end up in range due to the fact it is prone to getting chipped. +2 Z-Giga Impact blows it away. It checks Scarf and some SD sets much easier though.

Amoonguss has other positives over Venu, like not using mega slot, Spore, and Black Sludge which are worth a mention imo.

i was talking about before and you're right, i somehow confused a simple spread like that. edited

as for Kart, i specifically say check instead of switch in so i'll just leave it as is.

ill also edit in Spore but mega slots really aren't all that important in sm. i'll mention the ability to hold an item though. thanks for the am

e: nvm that ill just edit in anyway doesnt lose me anything

Overview
More specifically, it is able to fully wall Mega Mawile, Tapu Bulu & Magearna and check Kartana and Tapu Koko very handily.
  • Wouldn't say fully wall Mega Mawile or Magearna. Mega Mawile player can Swords Dance a second time to +4 and if they win all the mind games they can beat it 1v1, It's a rare occasion but it's still something to note. As for Magearna, Calm Mind Pain Split variants just use Mega Venusaur as setup bait and Flash Cannon into Corkscrew Crash can also knock it out with really high rolls, but it's almost guaranteed after Stealth Rock. All I'm saying is, "fully wall" is a bit of an overstatement.

Synthesis, has a measly 8 PP, meaning Mega Venusaur cannot last deep into the late game without outside support, especially since Mega Venusaur can be forced into awkward situations where it is forced to click it.
  • Would also mention vulnerability to weather, rain being up makes it a terrible Kartana check (also HP Fire isn't even guaranteed at full lmfao). And Tyranitar teams can be annoying too.

Moves
Leech Seed allows Mega Venusaur to keep itself healthy throughout the game without relying on Synthesis's small amount of PP. It works great on forced switches, allowing Mega Venusaur to gradually chip its checks and not be entirely passive while healing, helping its teammates in the process.
  • Mention how it helps against Mega Mawile too, because two Hidden Power Fire only have a measly 9.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock.

Those are all my suggestions, great analysis talah :)

Mega Venusaur appreciates being brought in safely through doubles and U-turns/Volt Switches in order to threaten the opposition with Leech Seeds and Sludge Bombs. Despite this, it's very capable of switching into a large number of attacks and shrugging them off. Mawile's Play Rough, Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech, Kartana's Leaf Blade and Magearna's Fleur Cannon are some examples.
This sets the wrong tone imo. Putting its offensive presence before defensive abilities in usage tips makes it sound like you're saying "this mon is a good offensive presence - but it can be used defensively too", when it should be the other way around.
Also you have a bullet in c&c for Psychic-types and a separate one for Reuniclus - these should probably be merged, especially considering Reuniclus is already mentioned in Psychic-types.
I'd add a sentence at the beginning of Team Options mentioning the types of teams Venu fits on and why.
Credits need filling in too - here u go

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Venusaur's strong great physical and special bulk on both sides, key resistances to prominent types like Water, Electric, Grass, (AC) and Fairy, as well as its and ability in Thick Fat taking to take away two weaknesses renders render it a great defensive check to a number of the best Pokemon in the tier. More specifically, it is able to switch into and beat almost every variant of Mega Mawile, Tapu Bulu, (AC) and Magearna and check Kartana and Tapu Koko very handily. It can also take advantage of a lot of more passive defensive Pokemon, such as Ferrothorn, Tapu Fini and Tangrowth. Mega Venusaur's Poison typing allows it to remove Toxic Spikes on entry, making it a valuable addition to teams weak to them. It is able to differentiate itself from Amoonguss with Thick Fat, (AC) making it able which enables it to take things like Ice Beam from Magearna and Fire Fang from Mega Mawile comfortably, much bigger immediate bulk, (AC) and significantly better offensive presence. However, Amoonguss still has access to Regenerator, can hold an item, (AC) and doesn't take up the team's Mega slot, giving it a decent niche over Mega Venusaur. Despite all Mega Venusaur offers, it suffers from a few glaring flaws keeping it from being truly great. While it is a good Water-type answer resist, it is not a reliable Choice Specs Greninja switch-in on its own, as Dark Pulse does too much for Mega Venusaur to check it consistently; as such, thus, it requires a different one besides itself. While Mega Venusaur's typing is fantastic defensively, wallbreakers that can abuse exploit said typing like Tornadus-T, Mega Alakazam, (AC) and Tapu Lele pose a huge threat to it. Furthermore, its main form of reliable recovery, Synthesis, has a measly 8 PP, meaning Mega Venusaur cannot last deep into the late-game (AH) without outside support, especially since Mega Venusaur it can be forced into awkward situations where it is forced to click it use it more often than it'd like. (or w/e, less casual) Its recovery is also weakened down lowered to 33% healing by both rain and sand, reducing its otherwise high effectiveness against those archetypes.

Leech Seed allows Mega Venusaur to keep itself healthy throughout the game without relying on Synthesis's small amount of PP. It works great on forced switches, allowing Mega Venusaur to beat Mega Mawile and Magearna with a lot more ease, gradually chip its checks, (AC) and not be avoid being entirely passive while healing, helping its teammates in the process. It Mega Venusaur is also able to deter the Grass-types (AH) that would be able to absorb it otherwise thanks to Sludge Bomb and Hidden Power Fire. Sludge Bomb is its strongest option against the Fairy-types (AH) it checks so well, like Clefable and the Tapus Island Guardians. Its 30% chance of poisoning also disrupts checks like Tornadus-T and Tyranitar. Hidden Power Fire is required in order to beat Steel-types (AH) like Mega Mawile, Magearna, Celesteela, Kartana, and Mega Scizor, as well as preventing and prevent Ferrothorn from getting free turns to use set up Spikes against Mega Venusaur.

Chlorophyll is chosen pre-Mega Evolving in as the pre-Mega ability for the rare case of sun being present, as Overgrow is entirely useless; this set does not carry a Grass-type move. The EV spread listed allows Venusaur to survive two Specs Dark Pulses after Stealth Rock from Choice Specs Greninja after Stealth Rock while outspeeding maximum Speed Mega Mawile. The rest is dumped into Defense to make it a worthwhile Mega Mawile, Kartana, (AC) and Tapu Bulu check.

Mega Venusaur appreciates being brought in safely through doubles and U-turns/Volt Switches U-turn or Volt Switch in order to threaten the opposition with Leech Seeds and Sludge Bombs. Despite this, it's very capable of switching into a large number of attacks and shrugging them off, such as Mega Mawile's Play Rough, Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech, Kartana's Leaf Blade, (AC) and Magearna's Fleur Cannon are some examples. However, Mega Venusaur is much more limited in recovery compared to defensive walls like Toxapex due to Synthesis's low PP; it should not be brought in on powerful attacks repeatedly, (AC) as it can be overwhelmed. For this reason, Mega Venusaur should be wary of switching into entry hazards, (AC) and accordingly, should try to limit or remove them as much as possible. Mega Venusaur should attempt to click Leech Seed and Sludge Bomb as often as possible, as those moves provide the greatest results, both immediately and long-term. Using Leech Seeding often will help both Mega Venusaur itself and its teammates, as it will allow Mega Venusaur to prolong its life without relying on Synthesis but also alleviate pressure from for a teammate switching into Heatran or Tornadus-T, and Sludge Bomb poisoning Tornadus-T makes Mega Venusaur's life much easier. Hidden Power Fire should be used on Mega Mawile, Magearna, (AC) and Celesteela after they have already been hit with Leech Seeded, as well as on Ferrothorn and Kartana. Synthesis should only be used when Mega Venusaur absolutely requires the instant healing burst, as it kills momentum for the user and has very limited use due to its low number of PP.

Team Options
========
Celesteela is arguably Mega Venusaur's most effective partner; it can switch into Pokemon Mega Venusaur cannot deal with, such as Tornadus-T, Mega Alakazam, (AC) and Tapu Lele while Venusaur itself deals with Pokemon Celesteela hates facing, such as Tangrowth and Zapdos. It also helps pressure their mutual checks, like Heatran, and alleviate pressure off each other being required to check Mega Venusaur for checking Kartana or Tapu Bulu. Tapu Fini is an excellent entry hazard remover (RC) and Heatran check and provides another Greninja-Ash check. Conversely, Mega Venusaur checks Grass-types (AH) like Kartana and Electric-types (AH) like Tapu Koko for it. Tornadus-T is another great hazard remover for Mega Venusaur. It can also get Mega Venusaur in for free on Celesteela, Mega Mawile, Tapu Koko, (AC) and Magearna, while both of them (who are these? if Venu is the other one then that's not super intuitive bc you just listed Heatran as a Venu check) pressure Heatran. Rotom-W can Defog for Mega Venusaur, switch into Heatran and Tornadus-T, and pressure common checks like Toxapex. It also provides a secondary Water-type answer resist (albeit not an Ash-Greninja-Ash check). Defensive Magearna variants like Assault Vest and Heart Swap can switch into and check Tornadus-T, Tapu Lele, Mega Alakazam, (AC) and Ash-Greninja-Ash, helping Mega Venusaur perform its role easier more easily. It They also pressures pressure Heatran and can bring Mega Venusaur in safely through Volt Switch. Swords Dance Garchomp is a strong Heatran check (RC) and a good Fire-type answer resist and can take advantage of Toxapex, Tapu Lele, (AC) and Tornadus-T while providing Stealth Rock utility to the team.

Other Options
=============

Deviating from the main set with Mega Venusaur is generally not advised; (SC) however, some alternatives are available if absolutely required. Earthquake can be used over Hidden Power Fire if Magnezone is used alongside Mega Venusaur as a different way of dealing with Mega Mawile and Magearna along with hitting Heatran. Giga Drain is Mega Venusaur's best option for an offensive Grass-type (AH) STAB attack, but nonetheless it doesn't function nearly as effectively as other options and should be avoided unless absolutely needed. Sleep Powder and Knock Off are both semi-viable alternatives to Leech Seed; (SC) however, (AC) they are extremely fringe and should not be considered in the very vast majority of cases.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Psychic-types**: (AH) Although most Psychic-types (AH) like Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele can't directly switch into Mega Venusaur with the exception of Reuniclus, they can take advantage of it in order to break after getting in through double switches and U-turns or Volt Switches.

**Flying-types**: (AH) Tornadus-T dislikes being poisoned by Sludge Bomb; (SC) however, due to Regenerator, it can get away with it and put pressure on the Mega Venusaur user. Gliscor completely walls Mega Venusaur and can use it as setup fodder.

**Strong Fire-types**: (AH) Heatran, both Mega Charizard Mega Evolutions, Volcarona, (AC) and even Victini can muscle through Venusaur despite Thick Fat.

**Chip Damage**: Due to the its lack of consistent long-term (AH) healing, Mega Venusaur is quite prone to being chipped down, especially through entry hazards, and can be put into scenarios where it can no longer check what it's supposed to.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar prevents Mega Venusaur's Synthesis from healing it any significant amount, rendering it significantly harder to use, can Pursuit trap it, (AC) and doesn't fear Sludge Bomb.

**Reuniclus**: Reuniclus is able to ignore Leech Seed and Sludge Bomb poisoning thanks to Magic Guard while taking insignificant damage from the latter, (AC) and as such meaning it can freely use Mega Venusaur as setup fodder.

**Toxapex**: While not being able to touch it directly outside of burning it with Scald, it Toxapex completely walls it in return Mega Venusaur and has access to Regenerator, coming out of their exchange ahead quite comfortably.

Noticed this while reading through the analysis. This should be 25% I believe.
