Venusaur [QC 0/3]

[OVERVIEW]

* Its ability Chlorophyll means it is deadly in Sun because of its decent bulk, decent special attack and wide movepool coupled with extremely high speed
* Has decent typing which allows it to check common waters and faries, but leaves it vulnerable to steels, fire types, Psychic-types and Poison-types.
* Suffers from 4MSS, doesn't have space for all the moves it would like to run like sleep powder and synthesis.
* Heavily relies on sun.
* Because its special attack is far from exceptional and it is usually used with a life orb, Venusaur is easily worn out if used early in the game.
* Weather ball is incompatible with chlorophyll.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Growth boosts venasaur's decent special attack to make it hit very hard in sun.
* Giga Drain is Venasaur's most spammable move and makes it harder to revenge kill once sun fades or through priority. It also negates life orb recoil.
* Sludge Bomb is has the highest neutral damage output and can beat fairy types.
* Hidden Power Fire is used to beat Steel-types.
* Sleep Powder can cripple and gives Venusaur better setup opportunities.

Set Details
=========
* Life orb offers some consistent power.
* The given EV spread allows Venusaur to speed tie with other Venusaur in sun and outspeed all relevant scarfers besides those with base 108 speed and above, while maximising damage output.
* Chlorophyll doubles Venusaur's speed in sun, making is a very potent sweeper.

Usage Tips
========

* Sun is necessary for venusaur to sweep and getting as much damage done in the turns of sun is vital.
* Venusaur should be used mid to late game when its main counters have fainted and foes have been weakened.
* Setting up growth is very important, because its special attack isn't that great for a sweeper.

Team Options
========

* Torkoal and ninetales offer Sun support to activate Chlorophyll.
* A slow U-turn or volt switch are good ways to get Venusaur into battle healthy.
* Because it struggles with Poison and Fire-types, ground types are good partners.
* If running Sleep Powder, Magneton is a useful partner to dispose of Steel-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Z- celebrate is a decent option but it can only be used once and doesn't boost special attack enough.
* Solar beam seems attractive with its massive damage and accuracy in sun but it makes venusaur even more vunerable outside of sun.
* Poisonium z and black sludge are both decent options for an item. Poisonium z can help it in bad matchups where Poison is neutral, whereas black sludge provides durability. Both lack the consistent power of a life orb, however.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Hail and sand setters** Hippowdon, gigalith, ninetales-a can set sand and hail respectively so venusaur loses momentum. however, none can switch in safely.

**Fire and psychic-types** Both can threaten venusaur with super effective damage and venasaur can't do too much in return without boosts.

**Revenge killers** Once sun has expired, it is often weakened, leaving is vulnerable to revenge killers. It also has an unfavourable type matchup against a lot of common revenge killers.

**Priority** Strong priority like scizor's bullet punch and bisharp's sucker punch can massively dent venusaur.

not QC just some quick grammar stuff.

Pokemon names should be capitalized
Abilities should be capitalized
Hyphen in-between types (Ex: Psychic-types)
Capitalize the moves (Ex: Hidden Power Fire instead of Hidden power fire)

Made a few changes to the analysis:
Removed Sleep Powder from other options, added it to moves.
Mentioned Magneton as a partner.
Mentioned weather ball is incompatible with chlorophyll.

It mentions that Venusaur is slower than scarfed base 110s under sun, but with max speed and a Modest nature, Venusaur is actually slower than scarfed base 108s (keldeo) under sun too. This is worth mentioning because Keldeo is quite a common scarfer, even if it can't do much to Venusaur.

I would also rework the point about Poison types in C&C. It mentions that Poison types resist Venusaur's STAB combination and aren't weak to HP Fire, but that's not entirely true as there are some Poison types that don't resist Venusaur's STAB (Amoonguss, Tentacruel, Nidoking).
