[OVERVIEW]
Despite Vespiquen's considerable bulk and interesting movepool, it's Bug/Flying typing is terrible defensively, making it a sitting duck to the many Rock-types in the tier. It's defensive stat distribution doesn't complement it's typing because of this. What's more, it's poor speed doesn't do it any favours, and while other Bug/Flying types such as Scyther have a chance to attack before they are KOed, Vespiquen is threatened before even making a move. Additionally, it's low speed leaves it susceptible to taunt, negating it's ability to utilise any of the utility available to it.

[SET COMMENTS]
The idea behind this set is for Vespiquen to trap foes with Infestation, before badly poisoning them with Toxic and stalling them to death with the combined use of Heal Order and Defend Order. Vespiquen has a minor niche in it's ability to boost it's Defense and Special Defense while stalling the opponent, and can also PP stall the opponent due to Pressure. However, this strategy is performed better by multiple others, most notably Pyukumuku, who not only has better defenses than Vespiquen but also has a useful ability in Unaware, meaning it is not threatened by setup sweepers while stalling the opponent unlike Vespiquen.

It's defensive stat distribution doesn't complement it's typing because of this (what does this sentence even mean). What's more, it's poor speed doesn't do it any favours, and while other Bug/Flying types such as Scyther have a chance to attack before they are KOed, Vespiquen is threatened before even making a move. Additionally, it's low speed leaves it susceptible to taunt, negating it's ability to utilise any of the utility available to it (this should be brought up before its competition with other mons)(bring up its competition with trapper pyuku here).
