Just got the confirmation from Pokémon for turning in my documents for the travel pack, I got an e-mail today regarding my flight, it looks like I'll be arriving Indy on Friday, at 2:20 pm.

By the size of the regionals and the fact that Nats is open, when should I get there??

Yes you still have to register. Otherwise they have no idea if you'll be playing or not.

Update from TPCi Support Staff: "I can confirm that both US and Canada Nationals are open to *all* players, regardless of nationality."

This refers to VGC only, not the TCG. This stays consistent with previous years as well as the European Nationals.

The chances of me actually playing this are just getting slimmer and slimmer, I think I'll be going for the food, people and socialising etc. All that good stuff. It doesn't matter to me though, I hold a FL residency so I'd play regardless of region lock, if I had a team.

Unfortunantly, I won't be able to make Pre-Registration. I have a baseball tournament ending earlier that day, and I'll be leaving at 6, so I have no chance. Guess General Registration will be my only shot. :(

Wow, last year I was at the beginning of the pre-registration line by accident, they started really early, everyone seems to be getting there Thursday. Hope to meet alot of new people. :D

Yeah. June 29th is only for TCG Day 1 and per-registration for VGC, there's no actual competing. June 30th is for all the swiss matches and most likely Top Cut up to 16, and then Sunday will probably be Top 16 onwards.

Split into two flights
8/9 Rounds of Swiss depending on number of people who show up
Top 32 from each flight continue
This Top 64 plays two best two out of three single elimination rounds to get to top 16

Top 16 plays 4 single elimination rounds to get to one winner

Probably but my guess is they'll be switching top 64 and t16's format around. Top64 might just be single elim because lets just say 8-9 rounds is gonna take alot of time and to have best two out of 3 right after can take a maximum of 45 mins a round(even if its only two rounds)

Sunday seems more likely for a best 2 out of 3 imo.

Time is really not a concern. Every year, I've seen TCG run to 11-12pm sometimes later, so I wouldn't really count it out.

ok i wanted to first make sure, with a 100% certainty that i could attend this event, before saying the following: Aaron go ahead and add my name to the list of attendees, right under the "awesome" list.

Arrival:
I'll be in the city of Indianapolis on thursday, between 10 and 11 AM. I dont know what i'll be doing all Thursday, other than enjoying the city and taking a moment to realize its my 3rd time there. I think i've slowly began to fall in love with that city. i cannot wait to explore the places i've come to like, especially the restaurants. other than that, i'll probably also be giving people big hugs throughout the day as they come in

Departure:
I'm leaving on Monday, yep, so i'll be there from thursday-monday. my Flight isn't until 5:12 pm, so i wont have to leave until around 3:15 pm, that should be more than enough time to get all the last minute hang outs and teary goodbyes in, and visit my favorite places one last time

Probably arriving at the Convention Center an hour before prereg.


So I'll have some time to kill before prereg, not sure what I'll do. (If you have any suggestions PM me, preferably not too far away though).

I am going to be getting to Indy at around 1 i think. My hotel is only a block or two from the convention center so I should be able to just walk and make it for pre-registration.

Also, going to leave late sunday (7-8pm). Can't wait to meet everybody there!
