Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I'm going to for Leader Wallace's Dusk-mane Necrozma here because I have seen this thing put in work against opposing rays on Ladder matches in both AG and in Special.
I have since learned that Fling + King's Rock is a real set for bopping Mimikyu and Cloyster, so my vote is going to Ullar's Magearna. Trick Room in general is really nice against Ray, a Fairy type that can set it and doesn't automatically drop to a boosted attack is really cool. I would run it a little bulkier so Life Orb Ray doesn't KO with Espeed after you set Trick Room though. Just hope you don't run into Overheat sets!
Congratulations cant say! Your submission will be logged in the Archive! Victim of the Week 47 - Arceus-Normal
And continiuing the Special trend, it's time to cover another big threat, Arceus! Even though it can be any type, only Arceus-Normal will be covered this week. Arceus possesses incredible 120 base stats all around, and a wide movepool to support it, such as STAB Extreme Speed, Earthquake, Shadow Claw and Overheat.Normal Arceus, unlike its other formes, can hold items other than Plates or Z-Crystals, meaning it can hold boosting items, like a Life Orb or Silk Scarf, or increase its survivability with pinch berries, Chople Berry or Lum Berry. So, how do you deal with this mon?

Marshadow @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Spectral Thief
- Shadow Sneak
- Whatever
Worst case scenario (except Chople Berry):
252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 221-265 (97.3 - 116.7%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
Immune to Extreme Speed & naturally outspeeds Arceus. Chople Berry is really easy to wall because of the loss of damage output from such choice of an item. Unless Arceus does some stuff like Z-Safeguard, Marshadow will always take down Arceus with ease.
The EVs are the minimum needed to make Life Orb Espeed a 3HKO. As for Swords Dance, it remains a 2HKO with this spread, allowing you to redirect that force with Foul Play, which deals a hefty chunk. Leftovers is best for this build, but a pinch bery or rocky helmet will do jsut fine if your Special 'mon is the one who needs it most.
252+ Atk Silk Scarf Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 116 Def Mandibuzz: 75-88 (34.5 - 40.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 116 Def Mandibuzz: 79-95 (36.4 - 43.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252+ Atk Silk Scarf Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 116 Def Mandibuzz: 147-174 (67.7 - 80.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Mandibuzz Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 73-87 (37.4 - 44.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 0 Atk Mandibuzz Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 144-171 (73.8 - 87.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Finally, a perk of this is that it's immune to Breloom Spore shenanigans, and it doesn't take up your slot (*cough* Yveltal)!
I'll try my hand at physdef yveltal Actually, I'm gonna give up on Yveltal. It pretty much just does what Mandibuzz does but exchanges not taking up a Legendary slot and slightly less bulk for a more powerful Foul Play, which imo isn't worth it.
This was a set I used in the SM version of the format. Gengar is naturally faster and can trap Arceus and 2hko at worst with Focus Blast. If Arceus is already boosted, snipe it with Destiny Bond. The movers is flexible, Destiny Bond can be replaced by Will-O-Wisp or try a Perish Trap set with Disable.
Inspired by magsyy's finest RMT meme, this deoxys is perhaps one of the worst things to put on literally any team and it even takes your forbidden slot. It beats Arceus at +2 as it espeeds you, since it may or may not be scared of an Extremespeed of your own, despite the fact that it does like 19 at max. The non-max defense is so you take enough damage to dispose of an 252 HP Arceus with Counter alone.
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 84 HP / 212 Def Chilan Berry Deoxys: 115-135 (84.5 - 99.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
(Arceus at 252 HP has 227 HP, so counter will kill on a min roll).
The Speed nature and the Speed EVs are designed to take advantage of Deoxys's literal one thing about it that's good, its ability to outpace M-Gengar and Marshadow with a +speed nature.
Even though it's a Deo-N, it can actually hit the aforementioned things hard enough to 1-shot them. Consolation prize?
108 SpA Deoxys Psycho Boost vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Gengar-Mega: 254-300 (188.1 - 222.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
108 SpA Deoxys Psycho Boost vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marshadow: 264-312 (160 - 189%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Thunder Wave is there because if you cannot use a Psycho Boost, you may as well switch out; and if you''re sacking it you may as well get a bit of speed control if you can't damage the thing in front of you for whatever reason.
If you're curious if Ice Beam does literally anything to mray, it doesn't.
108 SpA Deoxys Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rayquaza-Mega in Strong Winds: 104-124 (57.7 - 68.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
108 SpA Deoxys Psycho Boost vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rayquaza-Mega: 120-142 (66.6 - 78.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
If you're curious if Grass Knot does literally anything to pdon, it doesn't.
108 SpA Deoxys Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Groudon-Primal: 76-90 (36.7 - 43.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
108 SpA Deoxys Psycho Boost vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Groudon-Primal: 133-157 (64.2 - 75.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
If you're curious if Dark Pulse can do some damage to Necrozma-Dawn... it does break the shadow shield?
108 SpA Deoxys Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dawn-Wings: 117-138 (68 - 80.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
I don't even know what could possibly be put in that slot. Taunt? To answer that question, I would have to answer what this mon is for and that's a truly impossible task. epic mhem

I do not play Battle Spot on Showdown but honestly I play enough Uber/AG based metagames to know there is no better option than Marshadow when it comes to dealing with Arceus-Normal.
Congratulations DawnManeDuskWings! Your submission will be logged in the Archive! Victim of the Week 48 - Mega Scizor
Up next we have the Pincer Pokemon, Scizor! Scizor has a fantastic typing in Steel/Bug, a great ability in Technician and a good movepool. Thanks to its typing, it can check the most popular Fairy-types in the meta, and other mons such as Porygon2 and Mega Metagross. So, how do you deal with this mon?
