I'm not sure where you're getting with this as even though M-Sharpedo resists all of Crawdaunt's moves, MegaShark does jack shit to it:

Even with the more efficient spread, you'd really want some prior damage (like SR) to at least become a shaky check since MegaShark doesn't always 2HKO Crawdaunt from full (even less so if, for some readon, Crawdaunt hits MegaShark on the switch).

Cobalion, with its typing and naturally high physical bulk, can pivot into some physical attackers such as CB Crawdaunt at least once (only Crabhammer is a 2HKO) before retaliating with a life-ending (well, in the case of Crawdaunt, that is) Close Combat. Cobalion's ability Justified is also a nice attribute when facing Dark-type mons as their STAB moves, say Knock Off, will boost Cobalion's Attack stat, making it even more threatening to the opposing team.
