1v1 Victini [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]
Victini is a good Pokemon in 1v1 because of its Fire typing and its access to V-create, allowing it to beat common threats such as Magearna, Mega Charizard Y, and Genesect. Fire is generally a good offensive type and V-create is a supremely powerful STAB move, allowing Victini to beat many of the omnipresent bulky Steel-types, like Celesteela and Mega Mawile. Defensively, Victini's resistance to Fairy-type STAB attacks from popular Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir allows it to beat them when it's running a physical set. It can also be quite versatile with its base 100 stats across the board and nice movepool that includes moves such as Blue Flare, Celebrate, Magic Coat, Will-O-Wisp, and Glaciate, allowing it to run a variety of viable sets to beat diverse threats. A Z-Celebrate set can also be used to beat threats to the Choice Band set like Mega Charizard X and Kommo-o. By running a mixed attacker set, Victini is able to beat Zeraora reliably. It is also able to viably run Taunt for some stall Pokemon like Type: Null and Mega Altaria. However, Victini lacks decent spammable boosting moves, only having Z-Celebrate, Power-Up Punch, and Work Up, and, as a result, competes with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Heatran, and Incineroar due to their ability to raise their damage output by using moves like Dragon Dance, Metal Sound, and Bulk Up. Furthermore, Victini's rather lacking offensive stats leave its coverage moves without much force behind them, meaning it loses to Pokemon that can withstand V-create and are too bulky for its coverage moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
V-create is Victini's strongest move by far, and it is used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela. It can also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Mew. Bolt Strike is used against Tapunium Z Tapu Fini and Heatran. It also is a powerful weapon against opposing Victini and can sometimes land an OHKO against Primarina. Flame Charge is used against Pokemon that will avoid fainting to V-create such as Magnezone, Flail Mega Pinsir, and Flail Mega Lopunny. It can also be used to outspeed SubSeed users like Jumpluff and Serperior. Zen Headbutt is used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur and Naganadel. Trick can shut down stall Pokemon that do not use Z-Crystals or Mega Stones like Type: Null and Pyukumuku, as well as give Victini a chance against Porygon2, albeit an unreliable one. It can also be used to force Deoxys-S into guessing games between using Taunt against Trick or Iron Defense against V-create.

Set Details
=========
240 HP and 4 Special Defense EVs are used to increase Victini's bulk, particularly for Modest Magnezone's Gigavolt Havoc, forcing it to try to paralyze Victini with regular Zap Cannon. Additionally, the 4 Special Defense EVs prevent a Special Attack Download boost for Pokemon like Genesect and Porygon2. The HP investment helps Victini survive physical attacks like Mega Lopunny's Fake Out followed by Giga Impact. 20 Speed EVs are used to outspeed base 60 Speed Pokemon, particularly Timid Magnezone. 244 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature alongside Choice Band are used to deal as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========
Victini should be sent in against Pokemon that can easily fall to V-create, such as Mega Gardevoir and Magearna, or against Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mew that cannot KO Victini even with the drop to its defenses. On the other hand, Victini fails to defeat foes that are too bulky to be beaten by V-create or resist it, forcing Victini to use its much weaker coverage moves and be overrun. Examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, and Dragonite. If V-create does not OHKO the foe and it is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses or can take advantage of the drop to its Speed, such as against Tapu Fini or Mega Venusaur, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt as appropriate. Use Flame Charge if the Speed boost will let Victini outspeed and KO the foe on the next turn, like against Substitute users such as Mega Pinsir, Serperior, and Mega Lopunny. The matchup against Substitute + Earthquake Mega Metagross is a coinflip, requiring Victini to use Flame Charge if Mega Metagross chooses to use Substitute and V-create if it does not use Substitute. Use Trick against stall Pokemon without a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type: Null and non-Z-Move Pyukumuku.

Team Options
========
Fast Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Z Zeraora and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Mega Slowbro. In return, Victini can take care of Pokemon like Mega Mawile, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur. Mold Breaker Outrage users like Choice Scarf Haxorus and Mega Gyarados can beat Dragon-types like Dragonite, Mega Charizard X, and Kommo-o. Victini can cover Pokemon like Magearna, Celesteela, and most Mega Metagross variants in return. Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Primarina and Tapu Fini can take care of Ground-types like Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. Synergistically, Victini can defeat Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Celebrate is required for this set to function, allowing Victini to boost up all of its stats with Z-Celebrate as well as raise Stored Power's Base Power to 120. Stored Power allows Victini to hit foes like Mega Charizard X, Kommo-o, and boosted Bulk Up Zeraora. V-create is also a must-have, sporting a huge 180 Base Power on top of STAB and an Attack boost from Z-Celebrate to beat threats that resist Stored Power like Gardevoir and Magearna, as well as Zeraora that has used Charge. Taunt allows Victini to shut down stall Pokemon and Substitute users that would otherwise wall it, such as Mega Altaria and Mega Audino. Alternatively, Hidden Power Ground can be run to beat Heatran as well as ease the Substitute + Earthquake Mega Metagross matchup.

Set Details
========
212 Special Attack EVs along with a Rash nature allow Victini to OHKO offensive Mega Charizard X after a Z-Celebrate boost, while 232 Speed EVs allow Victini to outspeed Adamant Choice Scarf Haxorus after a boost. 16 Attack and 48 HP EVs give Victini the best chances of simultaneously OHKOing a bulky Charge-boosted Zeraora with V-create, tanking two Outrages from specially defensive Mega Charizard X, and tanking specially defensive Kommo-o's Clangorous Soulblaze followed by Clanging Scales.

Usage Tips
========

Unfortunately, because of this set's lack of bulk investment, hard-hitting hyper offensive Pokemon, even if they're weak to Psychic or Fire, can threaten Victini and should be avoided. Victini is OHKOed by Naganadel, relies on damage rolls for taking out foes like Mega Lopunny, and gives a Special Attack Download boost to Genesect, causing offensive Choice Specs sets to have a favorable damage roll against Victini. The only times where Victini may not want to use Z-Celebrate immediately are during scenarios where it must consider using Taunt first in order to prevent a crucial status move. These two exceptions are against Mega Mawile and non-Occa Berry Taunt Whimsicott; both of them are coinflips. Against Mega Mawile, Victini must either use Taunt if Mega Mawile uses Swords Dance or use Z-Celebrate if Mega Mawile attacks immediately. Against Whimsicott, Victini must either use V-create immediately if Whimsicott uses Taunt or use its own Taunt if Whimsicott does not. Against Mega Charizard X, simply use Z-Celebrate followed by Stored Power, which will OHKO offensive sets and 2HKO Mega Charizard X if it is specially defensive; specially defensive Mega Charizard X will be both unable to outspeed Victini after a Dragon Dance and unable to 2HKO it with unboosted Outrage. Against Zeraora, after using Z-Celebrate turn one, act according to what move Zeraora uses. If Zeraora attacks immediately and does not get the small chance of KOing or uses Charge, use V-create for the OHKO. If it uses Bulk Up, use Stored Power. Even if Stored Power does not OHKO, Zeraora will be unable to KO Victini before another Stored Power KOes it.

Team Options
========

Fast Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Z Zeraora and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Mega Slowbro. In return, Victini can take care of Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur. Mold Breaker Outrage users, namely Choice Scarf Haxorus and Mega Gyarados, can beat Dragonite, one of the greatest threats in 1v1.

[SET]
name: Z-Psychic
move 1: Psychic
move 2: Blue Flare
move 3: Glaciate
move 4: Will-O-Wisp
item: Psychium Z
ability: Victory Star
nature: Modest
evs: 80 HP / 248 Def / 180 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Psychium Z powers Psychic up into Shattered Psyche, which is used most specifically for KOing Kommo-o, but also Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Mega Lopunny. It is the highest Base Power move on the set, so it is used to KO Pokemon like Donphan after Sturdy is broken. Blue Flare takes out Pokemon weak to Fire such as Magearna, Celesteela, Mega Metagross, and Serperior. Glaciate can slow down the opposing Pokemon while also dealing chip damage, which is useful against foes like offensive Mega Charizard X and slow or Choice Band Dragonite sets. It can also beat Zygarde most of the time. Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple physical attackers as well as do a little bit of chip damage to beat Donphan, Golem, and physical Dragonite.

Set Details
========

80 HP and 248 Defense EVs is are the most efficient way to tank both burned Golem's Tectonic Rage followed by Sucker Punch, as well as special Dragonite's Supersonic Skystrike followed by Extreme Speed. The extra 180 EVs are put into Special Attack with a Modest nature for maximized reliability in matchups reliant on damage rolls.

Usage Tips
========

Use Glaciate if Victini can survive the current turn and will outspeed the foe on the next turn. This is useful if the foe already outspeeds Victini or is using a Speed-boosting move, like in the case of offensive Mega Charizard X or special Dragonite. Victini should use Will-O-Wisp against physical attackers it cannot KO before being KOed itself, especially if there is an ability to be broken like Dragonite's Multiscale or Donphan's Sturdy. Against Kommo-o, go for Shattered Psyche, which should always OHKO it as long as Victini is faster. This variant of Victini can be sent out into Donphan, Golem, and slow Dragonite sets as well as Choice Band Dragonite, which are generally unexpected matchups for a Victini to win. Keep in mind that Victini will not reliably beat a Dragonite that outspeeds it and will lose to Choice Scarf variants. If Donphan is running Bulldoze, Victini will have to anticipate it with Glaciate, although Bulldoze Donphan is not very common. Victini will also have to predict Mega Metagross's use of Substitute by using Blue Flare immediately rather than Will-O-Wisp.

Team Options
========

Fast Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Z Zeraora and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Mega Slowbro. In return, Victini will take care of Pokemon like Mega Mawile, Mega Venusaur, and Donphan. Fairy-type Pokemon like Mega Altaria and Mega Diancie can beat Dragon-types like Garchomp and Mega Charizard X as well as Dark-types like Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyaranitar. Victini can cover Pokemon like Magearna, Celesteela, and Mega Metagross in return. Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Primarina and Tapu Fini can take care of Ground-types like Mega Tyranitar, Krookodile, and Landorus-T. Synergistically, Victini can defeat Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana.

Moves
========

V-create is Victini’s strongest move by far, and it can be used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Celesteela, and Genesect or beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as offensive Mew and generally frail Pokemon such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, non-Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and Volcarona. Bolt Strike can be used against Water-types like Tapunium Z Tapu Fini and Greninja as well as Flying-types like Choice Scarf Togekiss. Zen Headbutt can be used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur, Nihilego, and Naganadel. Trick can shut down stall Pokemon that do not use Z-Crystals or Mega Stones like Type: Null, Kee Berry Mew, and Pyukumuku. It can also be used to force Deoxys-S into a coinflip between using Taunt against Trick or Iron Defense against V-create.

Set Details
=========

252 Attack EVs alongside an Adamant nature are used to deal as much damage as possible. 252 Speed EVs and Choice Scarf are used to outspeed as many foes as possible. A Jolly nature can also be used to outspeed +1 base 90 Speed Pokemon like Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z.

Usage Tips
========

Victini should be sent out against Pokemon that can easily fall to V-create such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, Magearna, and Volcarona. Choice Scarf Victini is also able to beat non-Choice Scarf Greninja with Bolt Strike. However, Victini fails to defeat foes that are too bulky to be beaten by V-create or resist it, such as Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, and Dragonite, forcing Victini to use its much weaker coverage moves and be overrun. V-create should be used against Pokemon that can be OHKOed by it, like Mega Gardevoir and Magearna. If V-create does not OHKO and the foe is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses, such as against Greninja and Nihilego, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt based on the foe's typing. Use Trick against stall Pokemon without a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone like Type: Null and Kee Berry Mew that do not want to be locked into a single move. However, when facing Mewnium Z Mew, Victini will need to use V-create instead. It is worth noting that this variant of Mew will often use Fake Out on the first turn, allowing Victini to use Trick on the first turn against any kind of Mew and reactively decide whether to use V-create or not. However, if the Mew user predicts this and does not use Fake Out, Victini will be locked into Trick and will be helpless. Victini will outspeed and OHKO non-Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and occasionally OHKO bulkier Normalium Z Porygon-Z variants. It will also only sometimes OHKO Bulk Up Outrage Zeraora and 2HKO Kommo-o. In the case of Kommo-o, the significant flinch chance of two Zen Headbutts can sometimes remedy this.

Team Options
========
Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Z Zeraora and Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro, while Victini can take care of Pokemon like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur. Mold Breaker Outrage users like Choice Scarf Haxorus and Mega Gyarados can beat Dragon-types like Dragonite, Mega Charizard X, and Garchomp. Victini can cover Pokemon like Magearna, Celesteela, and most Mega Metagross in return. Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Primarina and Tapu Fini can take care of Ground-types like Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. Synergistically, Victini can defeat Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========
A physical Psychium Z set with V-create / Bolt Strike / Zen Headbutt / Light Screen or Magic Coat can be run. Physical sets retain the ability to beat Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Mega Gardevoir, and Kommo-o. Magic Coat or Light Screen can also beat either variant of Tapu Fini, given that you predict Tapu Fini's set correctly, by using Z-Magic Coat or Light Screen against Waterium Z variants and directly using Bolt Strike against Tapunium Z variants. This Victini set can also beat Choice Specs Greninja with Z-Magic Coat followed by Bolt Strike or V-create depending on Greninja's move. Z-Light Screen can allow Victini to beat Heatran and Primarina most of the time. Both Z-Magic Coat and Z-Light Screen sets can also force Volcarona into mind games. An Icium Z set with Will-O-Wisp / Blue Flare / Taunt / Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon that are weak to Ice like Dragonite, Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Donphan. However, because this set will make Victini's STAB moves especially lackluster, it should only be used to lure in and beat Dragonite. Firium Z can be run to beat Aegislash without Victini having to run Substitute. It can also somewhat consistently beat Donphan with Z-Will-O-Wisp. A faster Choice Band set can be used to retain the offensive power of Choice Band while outspeeding Pokemon like Normalium Z Porygon-Z.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Rock- and Ground-types**: Pokemon such as Zygarde, Landorus-T, Mega Tyranitar, and Garchomp can all survive Victini's attacks and KO it with super effective STAB moves.

**Bulky Offense**: Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Incineroar, and Choice Scarf Dragonite resist V-create, are too bulky for Victini's much weaker coverage moves, and can defeat Victini with powerful STAB moves.

**Stall Mega Evolutions and Z-Move Users**: Mega Slowbro, Kyurem, and Psychium Z Deoxys-S can set up using boosting moves, then stall Victini out while whittling it down because of its lack of good boosting moves and their immunity to Trick.

**Aegislash**: King's Shield blocks V-create and prevents Victini from OHKOing Aegislash, which OHKOes Victini in return with Never-Ending Nightmare.

You don't have to run taunt

The Lele is a good point actually I will reallocate those
Max Speed Max SpA will get 2hko'd by V-Create
I can juggle between Magnezone and Timid Tapu Lele, but I gotta find out where the remainder will go :|

Edit: Ok so actually if I ev for Magnezone tanking timid Lele is no problem at all, and 248 hp is for Magnezone leaving me with 240 attack if I can find a better place to put EVs I will change it

[OVERVIEW]
  • Victini is a good Pokemon in 1v1 because of its versatility this statement serves no purpose, since its not backed up by anything and it barely gives any insight on the pokemon. Either remove it entirely or just state the reason its versatile and what it can beat
  • It is versatile because its 100 stats across the board are easy to play with and it has a nice movepool with V-Create, Bolt Strike, Blue Flare, Glaciate, and others Split this part in two bullet points, one where you mention how it can run either Bulky Offense or Hyper Offense, can run a large variety of items and can either be special or physical. The other where you mention its great movepool and coverage options.
  • Fire Typing is generally a good type and V-Create and Blue Flare are very powerful fire moves you should also mention Bolt Strike, Zen Headbutt and what these moves actually help beat
  • Its ability Victory Star decreases the chance of missing with moves like Bolt Strike, Blue Flare, and Will-O-Wisp
  • Victini lacks reliable boosting moves doesn't it get z celebrate and flame charge? and has competition with other Fire-types like Charizard and Heatran
  • Victini beats popular Pokemon like Magearna, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Gardevoir move this in the initial bullet point
  • Victini loses to Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar while this is true, you should add a general attribute of pokemon that beat it, like "Bulky Water- and Rock- types"
  • Mention Victini's low offensive stats, which is why it cant hit as hard as it'd want, its poor defensive typing and other things that generally hold it back from being in a higher tier

Moves
========
  • V-Create is your highest damaging move by far, and it will dont think its my job to judge grammar but I don't like the use of "will", I'd rather you use the present be used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela. It will also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Mew
  • Bolt Strike will be used against Water-types like Primarina and Tapunium-Z Tapu Fini. It will also be used against Flying-types like Mega Charizard Y and Togekiss. It also is a powerful weapon against other Victini.
  • Flame Charge will be used against Pokemon that will somehow not faint to V-Create mention sturdy Pokemon in general and Pokemon that outspeed it. also your wording implies that flame charge is to be used after v-create, which is wrong. such as Magnezone assuming they do not Zap Cannon paralyze Victini and Flail Mega Pinsir or Lopunny
  • Zen Headbutt is a powerful STAB move that can be used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur and Naganadel
  • Brick Break will be used for Heatran if the move is only used for one Pokemon you should probably just add it to the Other Options section.
Set Details
=========
  • 240 Attack Adamant is used to maximize chances in damage rolls such as Bolt Strike against Bulky Primarina.
  • 248 HP is used to increase bulk, particularly for Modest Magnezone's Z-Zap Cannon, forcing them to try to paralyze with Zap Cannon eh, not really needed to mention that. Also add more examples of what it tanks
  • 20 Speed is to outspeed Base 60 Speed Pokemon, particularly Timid Magnezone. add that you outspeed base 110 like Jumpluff after one flame charge
Usage Tips
========
  • Mention what Pokemon to generally use Victini against, and what not, and add examples.
  • Mention who to use Zen Headbutt and Bolt Strike against.
  • V-Create should be used against Pokemon that can be OHKO'd by it or against Pokemon like Gardevoir you ohko gardevoir anyway or Tapu Lele that cannot faint Victini even with the drop to the defenses. add more examples of pokemon that get ohko'd
  • If V-Create does not OHKO and the opponent is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses, use a different move could be worded better, also provide some examples
  • Flame Charge is usually the best move against Substitute users, such as?
  • Substitute Earthquake Metagross with require Victini to use Flame Charge, but if they do not use Substitute Victini will need to V-Create
Team Options

Moves
=========
  • Psychic powers up into Shattered Psyche, most specifically for Kommo-o Z-Psychic is its main STAB offensive move, so if it only serves to beat one Pokemon you might as well use some other z move. Try to look for other Pokemon Psychium Z specifically beats
  • Blue Flare is fire coverage its second main STAB, which deals with Steel- and Grass-types such as Magearna, Mega Gardevoir Mega Gardevoir's Special Defense and speed lets it Calm Mind twice and OHKO you with Hyper Beam Mega Mawile, and Whimsicott.
  • Glaciate will slow down the opposing Pokemon while also dealing chip damage, useful against things like Kommo-o you already ohko it with z psychic, Magnezone, and Tapu Lele
  • Will-O-Wisp can be used to beat primarily Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Golem.
  • Taunt will beat Stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Type:Null, and Occa Berry Whimsicott
Set Details

  • 252 HP 80 Def Bold tanks Mega Lopunny's Fake Out to 200 BP Flail Flail 15.821% not a very relevant matchup, and besides don't you already run taunt for that? try to find
  • 252 HP also always tanks Modest Magnezone's Z-Zap Cannon (they have to zap cannon for 50% chance)
  • 20 Spe outspeeds base 60, particularly Magnezone (It also outspeeds Raikou not quite the best example after Glaciate)
  • 156 SpA is leftover to hit things like Kommo-o as hard as possible
Usage Tips
========
  • Again, bring up some general examples of Pokemon you would bring Victini against and why
  • Glaciate if you both can live the current turn and it will make you outspeed the next turn Name some examples
  • That means either they already outspeed you or they are using a speed boosting move either remove this entirely or move it in the upper bullet point, otherwise its redundant
  • Don't use Glaciate against Kommo-o, go for Shattered Psyche which should almost always kill
  • Name matchups Will-O-Wisp, Taunt and Blue Flare are useful for

  • Z-Celebrate can be used as pseudo setup in conjunction with Stored Power which help in beating Bulkier Pokemon like Meloetta (+1 140+ Atk Victini V-create vs. 248 HP / 132 Def Meloetta: 388-457 (96.2 - 113.3%) -- 75% chance to OHKO) Don't really need to add calcs, also add more examples, like what stored power beats
  • Choice Scarf with moves like Blue Flare, Psychic, Focus Blast, and Glaciate can be run to beat Faster Pokemon like Greninja, Durant, and Zeraora.
  • Icium with moves like Will-O-Wisp, Blue Flare, Taunt, and Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon like Dragonite, Zygarde, Landorus-Therian, and Mega Garchomp, which are 4x weak to Ice
  • Firium can be run to reliably beat King's Shield Aegislash (without Substitute) Aegislash doesnt really run Substitute
Checks and Counters
===================
**Bulky Offense** Mega Charizard X, Gyarados, Landorus-Therian, Tyranitar Victini can't break through these before it dies because of its lackluster offensive stats again, you could word this better (this goes for all checks and counters)

**Faster Hyper Offense** Greninja, Porygon Z, Garchomp, Diancie Victini's only alright speed leave it susceptible to faster, hard-hitting Pokemon

**Stall Boosting Moves** Altaria, Slowbro, Type: Null, Audino Victini lacks effective boosting moves and cannot match opposing boosts

**Aegislash in particular** King's Shield blocks V-Create and prevents Victini from OHKOing Aegislash before a Ghost-type attack OHKOes Victini dont put in particular cases, just general ones.

Overall factually correct, but the wording in most places is very lacking and difficult to understand. Also you tend to use too many particular cases instead of general ones, which ends up being confusing for new players. A general lack of examples all around is present as well.

Some of this I laugh at like "Mega Gardevoir, Zeraora beats Mega Gardevoir" (Trace Volt Absorb) but there's a lot of good stuff and questioning in here. Thank you, I appreciate it

[OVERVIEW]
  • Victini is a good Pokemon in 1v1 because of its versatility and can beat common threats such as Magearna, Mega Charizard Y, and Genesect
  • It is versatile because its 100 stats across the board are easy to play with and it has a nice movepool with such as V-Create, Bolt Strike, Blue Flare, Glaciate, and others, and others is lazy, bc it makes it seem like you're not including equally important moves allowing it to run a variety of viable sets to beat different threats
  • Fire is generally a good type both offensively and defensively and V-Create and Blue Flare are very powerful fire moves, allowing Victini to beat maby many of the omnipresent bulky Steel-types like Celesteela and Mega Mawile, and defensively resist popular Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir
  • Its ability Victory Star decreases the chance of missing with moves like Bolt Strike, Blue Flare, and Will-O-Wisp So this point is kinda pointless, bc Victini is the only Pokemon that can use Bolt Strike/Blue Flare, and you'd run these moves anyway without Victory Star.
  • Victini lacks reliable viable boosting moves it has z celebrate and has competition with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard and Heatran
  • Victini has rather lacking offensive stats, leaving it to instead rely on high base power moves Why/when is this a bad thing? You have average attack but great stabs, which you're saying evens each other out, doesn't seem like its worth mentioning unless it specifically detracts it against a particular matchup, or limits its evs in some way.
  • Victini loses to bulkier Pokemon with access to super effective moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar, because of Fire- and Psychic-type's weaknesses and its lackluster offensive stats I wouldn't rlly say this is the reason, as all of the examples Pokemon with even higher offensive stats can't beat.

Moves
========
  • V-Create is your highest damaging move by far, and it will be used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela. It will also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Mew normally i would tell u to include iron defense mew, but thats not run enough to be a realistic concern. so yeah.
  • Bolt Strike will be used against Water-types like Primarina 248+ Atk Choice Band Victini Bolt Strike vs. 236 HP / 236+ Def Primarina: 342-404 (95 - 112.2%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO and Tapunium-Z Tapu Fini. It will also be used against Flying-types that resist V-Create like Mega Charizard Y and Togekiss V-Create does more than Bolt Strike if they don't resist. . It also is a powerful weapon against other non-Choice Band Victini.
  • Flame Charge will be used against Pokemon that will somehow not faint to V-Create such as Magnezone assuming they do not Zap Cannon paralyze Victini and Flail Mega Pinsir or Mega Lopunny. Mention Jumpluff too
  • Zen Headbutt will be used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur and Naganadel
  • Brick Break will be used for Heatran lol no, Bolt Strike 2hkos. 248+ Atk Choice Band Victini Bolt Strike vs. 136 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 184-217 (51.5 - 60.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. Even against max HP, which isnt' rlly run, its a 90% chance. Probably remove this, unless theres another useful mon to run this for
  • Perhaps include Trick as a move mention to shut down Pokemon such as Type: Null.
Set Details
=========
  • 240 244 Attack Adamant is used to maximize chances in damage rolls such as Bolt Strike against Bulky Primarina. You can just say 'to do as much damage as possible', cause thats not a good reason at all
  • 248 240 HP and 4 SpD is used to increase bulk, particularly for Modest Magnezone's Z-Zap Cannon, forcing them to try to paralyze with Zap Cannon. List other mons the bulk helps with (because if its just Magnezone it would be better in SpD, also considering this is just a 50/50), as well as mention Genesect
  • 20 Speed is to outspeed Base 60 Speed Pokemon, particularly Timid Magnezone.
Usage Tips
========
  • V-Create should be used against Pokemon that can be OHKO'd by it, like Mega Gardevoir and Magearna or against Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir or Tapu Lele that cannot faint Victini even with the drop to the defenses
  • If V-Create does not OHKO and the opponent is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses, use a different move I can't even really explain how lacking this is. Definitely explain more about this, and separate usage into different points. When do you use Bolt Strike? When do you use Zen Headbutt? What mons should V Create be used for instead of the moves that hit super effectively because V Create does more anyway? When should you use the coverage move because V Create only 2hkos, and the stat drops matter?
  • Flame Charge is usually the best move against Substitute users such as list substitute users
  • Substitute Earthquake Mega Metagross is a 50/50, with requiring Victini to use Flame Charge if they choose to Substitute, but if they do not use Substitute Victini will need to V-Create combine this with the point above it
  • Mention trick.

Moves
=========
  • Psychichium Z powers Psychic up into Shattered Psyche, most specifically for Kommo-o, but also for Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Mega Lopunny
  • Blue Flare is fire coverage for Pokemon weak to fire such as Magearna, Celesteela, and Genesect, as well as Pokemon that resist Psychic like Mega Gardevoir sooo even with Laser Focus and Glaciate this set can't reliably beat bulky Mega Gardevoir. I'll put the calcs at the end bc its a lot and Tapu Lele
  • Glaciate can slow down the opposing Pokemon while also dealing chip damage, useful against things like Magnezone and Mega Gardevoir
  • Laser Focus can beat through Pokemon with special defense boosting moves, like Mega Gardevoir and Tapu Lele
  • Will-O-Wisp can be used to beat primarily Donphan and Golem with a 252 HP / 80 Def / 156 SpA / 20 Spe spread and a Bold Nature This just doesn't work. 252+ Atk burned Donphan Tectonic Rage (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Victini: 256-303 (63.3 - 75%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252+ Atk burned Donphan Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Victini: 144-169 (35.6 - 41.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO 156 SpA Victini Shattered Psyche (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Donphan: 330-388 (85.9 - 101%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after burn damage same odds with max HP Golem, tho u do beat speedy golem.
  • Taunt can beat Stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Type:Null, and 50/50 Occa Berry Whimsicott with a 96 HP / 212 Def / 200 SpA spread and a Bold Nature Why do you need this to run Taunt? This EV spread should be an OO
Mega Gardevoir:
+1 8 SpA Gardevoir-Mega Psyshock vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Victini: 101-119 (25 - 29.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
+1 8 SpA Pixilate Gardevoir-Mega Hyper Beam vs. 248 HP / 72+ SpD Victini: 191-225 (47.3 - 55.8%) -- 78.5% chance to 2HKO

168 SpA Victini Blue Flare vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Gardevoir-Mega on a critical hit: 192-226 (56.9 - 67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
168 SpA Victini Blue Flare vs. +1 240 HP / 0 SpD Gardevoir-Mega: 85-102 (25.2 - 30.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
Mega Gardevoir Calm Minds turn one. Victini Glaciates. Victini Blue Flares Turn two, Mega Gardevoir Psyshocks. Victini Laser Focus, Mega Gardevoir Psyshocks again. Victini Blue Flares again, critting, Mega Gardevoir hyper beams. 90.7-107.5 (rolls on Victini) whereas Mega Gardevoirs roll is 97.3-114.8. Not only is Victini not guaranteed, its more likely to lose to Mega Gardevoir than it will win.

Set Details
=========
  • Laser Focus 248 HP and 72 Special Defense always lives a +1 252 Special Attack Mega Gardevoir Psyshock to Hyper Beam This doesn't matter
  • 168 Special Attack allows Shattered Psyche to OHKOes Specially Defensive bulky Kommo-o
  • 20 Speed outspeeds base 60s like Magnezone
  • Will-o-Wisp 252 HP 80 Defense Bold tanks Mega Lopunny's Fake Out to 200 BP Flail
  • 252 HP also always tanks Modest Magnezone's Z-Zap Cannon (they have to zap cannon for 50% chance)
  • 156 Special Attack is to hit things like Kommo-o as hard as possible
  • 20 Speed outspeeds base 60, particularly Magnezone (It also outspeeds Raikou after Glaciate)
  • Taunt 96 HP tanks Specs Naganadel's Draco Meteor with 93.7% accuracy
  • 212 Defense tanks +1 252 Atk Adamant Mega Charizard X with 93.7% accuracy
  • 200 Special Attack is to hit as hard as possible against bulkier Mega Charizard X's, which is why the sacrifice in bulk is necessary
  • this all belongs in OO, also no one uses 252 adamant zard
Usage Tips
========
  • Glaciate if you both can live the current turn and it will make you outspeed the next turn. That means either they already outspeed you or they are using a speed boosting move
  • Don't use Glaciate against Kommo-o, go for Shattered Psyche which should almost always kill
  • Against Mega Gardevoir, Glaciate turn 1, then Blue Flare turn 2, then Laser Focus turn 3 to Blue Flare turn 4. This ensures that Mega Gardevoir will faint through its Calm Mind boosts. If Mega Gardevoir uses Taunt, just use Blue Flare until Mega Gardevoir faints
  • Usually the same process follows for Tapu Lele, but if the Tapu Lele is modest then Glaciate is unnecessary what if its modest speedy?
  • With the Taunt set, you will need to use Glaciate to Z-Psychic if the Mega Charizard X uses Outrage immediately and Z-Psychic to Psychic if they use Dragon Dance first remove this until we figure out Psychium EVs

  • Mention speedy Choice Band, to have the power of Choice Band and beat mons like normalium PZ
Checks and Counters
===================
**Bulky Offense**: Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, Landorus-Therian, Mega Tyranitar, Victini can't break through these before it dies because of its lackluster offensive stats again,

**Faster Hyper Offense**: Pokemon such as Greninja, Porygon Z, no since Scarf will beat these Garchomp, and Mega Diancie Victini's only alright average speed leave it susceptible to faster, hard-hitting Pokemon maybe change this to Ground- and Rock-type Pokemon

**Stall Boosting Moves**: Mega Altaria, Mega Slowbro, Type: Null trick/taunt wins, and Mega Audino Victini lacks effective boosting moves and cannot match opposing boosts

**Aegislash**: King's Shield blocks V-Create and prevents Victini from OHKOing Aegislash before a Ghost-type attack OHKOes Victini, as well as being able to live a Blue Flare from Specially offensive Victini, and OHKO with Never-Ending Nightmare.

Soooo physical Choice Scarf will be a main set uwu.

choice scarf allows Victini to beat: all Porygon Z, Greninja, Vivillon, Volcarona, Archeops, Durant, bulk up Zeraora, Raikou, Scarf Sawk, Mega Gengar, Nihilego, Keldeo, and sub users (offensive Mega Metagross, Jumpluff, Lopunny, Pinsir, Lucario, ) without Flame Charge, freeing up a move slot

Run basic bitch evs for scarf, 252 252 adamant, 4 in spdef for download, V create, Zen Headbutt, Bolt Strike, and Trick.

You also desperately need to fix Psychium. Idk if you created it, but it doesn't work, and neither do the alternative ev spreads, most of the time. You should maybe focus on beating Jolly Char x a bit more, and perhaps add more speed to more reliably beat speedy bulky kommo-o. Or, if possible, redo the set to reliably beat Mega Gardevoir. Start from fresh, pm me if you need help on discord.

Tag me when this is implemented, when you add scarf, and when psychium is fixed

edit: also legit curious where u got the psychium evs from

  • Specially offensive Choice Scarf with moves like Blue Flare, Psychic, Focus Blast, and Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon like Greninja, Durant, and Zeraora Physical scarf is better, list examples of what special scarf can do that physical cannot
  • Icium with moves like Will-O-Wisp, Blue Flare, Taunt, and Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon like Dragonite, Zygarde, Landorus-Therian, and Donphan that are weak to Ice
  • Firium can be run to beat Aegislash without Victini having to run Substitute
  • Mention speedy Choice Band, to have the power of Choice Band and beat mons like normalium PZ
Checks and Counters
===================

Tag me when this is implemented, when you add scarf, and when psychium is fixed

edit: also legit curious where u got the psychium evs from
Ok I'm ready

  • Victini is a good Pokemon in 1v1 because of its versatility and can beat common threats such as Magearna, Mega Charizard Y, and Genesect
  • It is versatile because its 100 stats across the board are easy to play with and it has a nice movepool including moves such as V-create, Bolt Strike, and Zen Headbutt allowing it to run a variety of viable sets to beat different threats
  • Fire is generally a good type both offensively and defensively uh rlly? being weak to edgequake and bulky waters sucks. Maybe just clarify it allows you to resist steel and fairy type attacks, which are meta. and V-create is a supremely powerful fire move, allowing Victini to beat many of the omnipresent bulky Steel-types like Celesteela and Mega Mawile, and defensively resist popular Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir
  • Victini lacks viable spammable boosting moves and has competition with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard and Heatran why? what can they do that Victini cannot
  • Victini has rather lacking offensive stats, leaving it to stuck between wanting to put EVs in both offense and defense
  • Victini loses to bulkier Pokemon with access to super effective moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar, because of Fire- and Psychic-type's weaknesses and its lackluster offensive stats

Moves
========
  • V-Create is your highest damaging move by far, and it will be used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela. It will also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and offensive Mew
  • Bolt Strike will be used against Tapunium-Z Tapu Fini and Heatran. It also is a powerful weapon against non-Choice Band Victini.
  • Flame Charge will be used against Pokemon that will somehow not faint to V-Create such as Magnezone assuming they do not Zap Cannon paralyze Victini and Flail Mega Pinsir or Mega Lopunny. It can also be used to outspeed Jumpluff.
  • Zen Headbutt will be used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur and Naganadel
  • Trick can shut down Pokemon like Type:Null and Pyukumuku
Set Details
=========
  • 244 Attack Adamant, alongside a Choice Band, is used to deal as much damage as possible make this last then, if it has no specific purpose
  • 240 HP and 4 Special Defense is used to increase bulk, particularly for Modest Magnezone's Z-Zap Cannon, forcing them to try to paralyze with Zap Cannon. Additionally the 4 Special Defense prevents a Special Attack Download boost from Pokemon like Genesect and Porygon2. HP is run rather than just Special Defense for physical attacks like Mega Lopunny's Fake Out to Giga Impact
  • 20 Speed is to outspeed Base 60 Speed Pokemon, particularly Timid Magnezone.
Usage Tips
========
  • V-Create should be used against Pokemon that can be OHKO'd by it, like Mega Gardevoir and Magearna, or against Pokemon like Tapu Lele that cannot faint Victini even with the drop to the defenses
  • If V-Create does not OHKO and the opponent is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt based on typing, such as against Tapu Fini and Mega Venusaur, or Flame Charge if the speed will let you win. Flame Charge is usually the best move against Substitute users such as Substitute Earthquake Mega Metagross which is a 50/50, requiring Victini to use Flame Charge if they choose to Substitute, but if they do not use Substitute Victini will need to V-Create
  • Use Trick against stall Pokemon that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type: Null or Pykumuku
Team Options
========
  • Fast Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Zeraora and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Mega Slowbro. In return Victini will take care of Pokemon like Mega Mawile, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur.
  • Mold Breaker Outrage users like Choice Scarf Haxorus and Mega Gyarados can beat Dragon-types like Dragonite, Mega Charizard X, and Kommo-o. In return Victini will take care of Pokemon like Magearna, Celesteela, and most Mega Metagross.
  • Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Primarina and Tapu Fini can take care of Ground-types like Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-Therian. In return Victini will take care of Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana

It will also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Offensive Mew, and generally frail Pokemon such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Volcarona the examples are technically fine but I would use different Pokemon from Band, so as to differentiate from what Choice Scarf can do. Pokemon like Porygon Z, Volcarona, and Bulk Up Zeraora could be used (although I see volcarona is already there)
  • Bolt Strike will be used against Water-types like Tapunium-Z Tapu Fini and Greninja, as well as Flying-types like Choice Scarf Togekiss

  • Use Trick against stall Pokemon that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type:Null and Kee Berry Mew.
  • In the case of Mew you will need to V-Create against Mewnium variants and Trick against Kee Berry variants. It is worth noting that Mewnium Mew will often use Fake Out on the first turn, allowing Victini to use Trick on the first turn against any kind of Mew, and then reactively V-create or not depending on if Mew has used Fake Out. However, if the Mew user predicts this and does not use Fake Out, Victini will be locked into Trick and helpless.
  • Victini will outspeed and OHKO non-timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and occasionally OHKO bulkier Normalium Z Porygon-Z. It will also only sometimes OHKO Bulk Up Outrage Zeraora and 2HKO Kommo-o

  • Psychium Z either can be run to reliably beat Kommo-o. Physical retains the ability to beat Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Gardevoir, and Heatran, while special with Will-O-Wisp can potentially beat Donphan and non-specially defensive Mega Charizard X
  • Z-Celebrate can be used as setup in conjunction with Stored Power which helps in beating Z-Celebrate Meloetta and Bulldoze Mega Altaria. However, it will lose out on Blue Flare, as it is incompatible with Celebrate

**Bulky Offense**: Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, and Dragonite resist V-Create and are too bulky for Victini's much weaker coverage moves while being able to use effective STAB to defeat Victini

**Stall Boosting Moves**: Mega Altaria, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Audino can set up using boosting moves then stall out of whittle down Victini because of its lack of good boosting moves

**Aegislash**: King's Shield blocks V-Create and prevents Victini from OHKOing and OHKOes Victini with Never-Ending Nightmare.

Comments in Bold. I can't give this a pass just yet because one of these sets is still in bullet points; write that up and tag me, and I'll do another quick lookover of that set for 3/3.
[OVERVIEW]
Victini is a good Pokemon in 1v1 because of its Fire typing and its access to V-create, allowing it to beat common threats such as Magearna, Mega Charizard Y, and Genesect. Fire is generally a good offensive type and V-create is a supremely powerful Fire-type move, allowing Victini to beat many of the omnipresent bulky Steel-types, like Celesteela and Mega Mawile. Defensively, Victini's resistance to popular Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir allow it to win these matchups. It can also be quite versatile because of its base 100 stats across the board, and because it has a nice movepool including moves such as Blue Flare, Celebrate, Magic Coat, Will-O-Wisp, and Glaciate, allowing it to run a variety of viable other option sets to beat diverse threats. However, Victini lacks viable spammable boosting moves, only having Celebrate and Work Up, and has competition with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and Heatran due to their ability to raise their damage output by using moves like Dragon Dance, Flame Charge, Metal Sound, and Rock Tomb, while Victini is often stuck with V-create. Most of those don't boost damage output. You're combinign two related ideas; Rock Tomb and Flame Charge, with boost relative speed, and Metal Sound and DD, which boost damage. I'd advise cutting the speed point, because, well, Victini gets Flame Charge, Celebrate, and Glaciate, and just focus on how WU and PuP are shitty ways to boost damage relative to DD and Metal Sound. Furthermore, Victini has rather lacking offensive stats, leaving its coverage moves without very much force behind them. Victini loses to bulkier Pokemon with access to super effective moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar, because of Fire- and Psychic-types' weaknesses and its lackluster offensive stats. It losing to mega slowbro has nothing to do with being weak to water and everything to do with slowbro being bulky enough to just iron defense or slack off on CB bolt strike.

Moves
========
V-Create is Victini's highest damaging move by far, and it is used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela. It will also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Mew. Bolt Strike is used against Tapunium-Z Tapu Fini and Heatran. It also is a powerful weapon against non-Choice Band Victini, and can sometimes land an OHKO against Primarina. Flame Charge is used against Pokemon that will somehow not faint to V-Create such as Magnezone and Flail Mega Pinsir or Mega Lopunny. It can also be used to outspeed subseeders like Jumpluff and Serperior. Zen Headbutt is used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur and Naganadel. Trick can shut down stall Pokemon that do not use Z-Crystals or Mega Stones like Type:Null and Pyukumuku. Porygon 2 is a fair bit more relevant than Pyukumuku, especially since pyuku can full well run zmove, and Trick is what gives you a chance to win rather than them recovering twice and then foul playing.

Set Details
=========
240 HP and 4 Special Defense is used to increase bulk, particularly for Modest Magnezone's Z-Zap Cannon, forcing them to try to paralyze with Zap Cannon. Additionally the 4 Special Defense prevents a Special Attack Download boost from Pokemon like Genesect and Porygon2. HP is run rather than just Special Defense for physical attacks like Mega Lopunny's Fake Out to Giga Impact. 20 Speed is to outspeed Base 60 Speed Pokemon, particularly Timid Magnezone. 244 Attack Adamant, alongside a Choice Band, is used to deal as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========
Victini should be sent against Pokemon that can easily fall to V-create such as Mega Gardevoir and Magearna, or against Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mew that cannot faint Victini even with the drop to the defenses. On the other hand, Victini fails to defeat foes that are too bulky to be beaten by V-create or resist it, forcing Victini to use its much weaker coverage moves and be overrun. Examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, and Dragonite. If V-Create does not OHKO and the opponent is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses or can take advantage of the drop to speed, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt based on typing, such as against Tapu Fini and Mega Venusaur. Use Flame Charge if the speed will let you win. Flame Charge is also usually the best move against Substitute users such as Substitute Earthquake Mega Metagross which is a 50/50, requiring Victini to use Flame Charge if they choose to Substitute, but if they do not use Substitute Victini will need to V-Create. Mention that this is due to rock tomb, and / or list other examples like puff and lopp. Use Trick against stall Pokemon without a z-crystal or mega stone that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type: Null or Pykumuku.

Team Options
========
Fast Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Zeraora and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Mega Slowbro. Mold Breaker Outrage users like Choice Scarf Haxorus and Mega Gyarados can beat Dragon-types like Dragonite, Mega Charizard X, and Kommo-o. In return Victini will take care of Pokemon like Magearna, Celesteela, and most Mega Metagross. Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Primarina and Tapu Fini can take care of Ground-types like Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-Therian. • Psychium Z powers Psychic up into Shattered Psyche, most specifically for Kommo-o, but also for Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Mega Lopunny. It is the highest base power move on the set, so it is used to KO Pokemon like Donphan once sturdy is broken
  • Blue Flare is fire coverage for Pokemon weak to fire such as Magearna, Celesteela, Metagross, and Serperior
  • Glaciate can slow down the opposing Pokemon while also dealing chip damage, useful against things like Magnezone, Offensive Mega Charizard X, and Slow Dragonite (as well as banded Dragonite)
  • Will-O-Wisp can be used to halve opposing Pokemon's attack as well as do a little bit of chip damage to beat primarily Donphan, Golem, and Slow Physical Dragonite

  • 80 HP and 248 Def is the most efficient way to tank both Burned Golem's Tectonic Rage to Sucker Punch and Standard Special Dragonite's Supersonic Skytrike to Extreme Speed
  • 20 Speed outspeeds base 60s, specifically Magnezone
  • Modest nature and the extra 160 EVs are put into Special Attack for maximized reliability in matchups such as Dragonite and Mega Metagross This bullet doesn't mean anything as it stands. Just say to maximise its damage output or secure additional KOe.

Usage Tips
========
  • Glaciate if you both can live the current turn and it will make you outspeed the next turn. That means either they already outspeed you or they are using a speed boosting move Any examples? For instance, this makes sense for pokemon like Sawk.
  • Victini should use Will-O-Wisp against physical attackers it can not KO before being KOd itself, especially if there is an ability to be broken like Dragonite's Multiscale and Donphan's Sturdy
  • Against Kommo-o, go for Shattered Psyche which should always OHKO as long a Victini is faster
  • This form of Victini can be sent out into Donphan, Golem, and Slow Dragonite as well as Choice Band Dragonite, which is generally unexpected for a Victini to beat
  • Victini will have to use Will-O-Wisp against Physical Dragonite and Glaciate immediately against Special Dragonite or Choice Band Dragonite. Keep in mind that Victini will not reliably beat a Dragonite that outspeeds it, and will lose to Choice Scarf variants
  • Victini will have to predict a Bulldoze from Donphan with Glaciate
  • Victini will have to predict Mega Metagross's Substitute, using either Will-O-Wisp first or Blue Flare immediately

V-Create is your highest damaging move by far, and it will be used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Celesteela, and Genesect. It will also be used to beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as Offensive Mew, and generally frail Pokemon such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, non-Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Volcarona. Bolt Strike will be used against Water-types like Tapunium-Z Tapu Fini and Greninja, as well as Flying-types like Choice Scarf Togekiss. Zen Headbutt will be used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur, Nihilego, and Naganadel. Trick can shut down stall Pokemon that do not use Z-Crystals or Mega Stones like Type:Null, Kee Berry Mew, and Pyukumuku.

Usage Tips
========
Victini should be sent against Pokemon that can easily fall to V-create such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, Magearna, and Volcarona. Choice Scarf Victini is also able to beat non-Choice Scarf Greninja with Bolt Strike. Victini fails to defeat foes that are too bulky to be beaten by V-create or resist it, forcing Victini to use its much weaker coverage moves and be overrun. Examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, and Dragonite. V-Create should be used against Pokemon that can be OHKO'd by it, like Mega Gardevoir and Magearna. If V-Create does not OHKO and the opponent is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt based on typing, such as against Greninja and Nihilego. Use Trick against stall Pokemon that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type:Null and Kee Berry Mew. In the case of Mew you will need to V-Create against Mewnium variants and Trick against Kee Berry variants. It is worth noting that Mewnium Mew will often use Fake Out on the first turn, allowing Victini to use Trick on the first turn against any kind of Mew, and then reactively deciding to use V-create or not depending on if Mew has used Fake Out. However, if the Mew user predicts this and does not use Fake Out, Victini will be locked into Trick and will be helpless. Victini will outspeed and OHKO non-timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and occasionally OHKO bulkier Normalium Z Porygon-Z. It will also only sometimes OHKO Bulk Up Outrage Zeraora and 2HKO Kommo-o. In the case of Kommo-o, the 36% flinch chance on 2 Zen Headbutts can sometimes remedy this.

Psychium Z either can be run to reliably beat Kommo-o. Either physical with moves like V-create, Bolt Strike, Zen Headbutt, and Light Screen or Magic Coat, or special with moves like Psychic, Blue Flare, Glaciate, and Will-O-Wisp can be run. The second one is a main set and doesn't need to be here. Physical retains the ability to beat Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir, while special with Will-O-Wisp can potentially beat Donphan and non-specially defensive Mega Charizard X. Ditto here Magic Coat and Light Screen can also beat either variant of Tapu Fini given that you predict the set correctly, using Z-Magic Coat against Waterium and directly to Bolt Strike against Tapunium. It can also beat Choice Specs Greninja with Z-Magic Coat then using Bolt-Strike or V-create depending on Greninja's move, and Volcarona reliably. Z-Light Screen can beat Heatran and Primarina most of the time. Z-Celebrate can be used as setup in conjunction with Stored Power which helps in beating Z-Celebrate Meloetta and Bulldoze Mega Altaria. However, it will lose out on Blue Flare, as it is incompatible with Celebrate. Icium Z with moves like Will-O-Wisp, Blue Flare, Taunt, and Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon like Dragonite, Zygarde, Landorus-Therian, and Donphan that are weak to Ice. Firium Z can be run to beat Aegislash without Victini having to run Substitute. It can also somewhat consistently beat Donphan with Z-Will-O-Wisp. Fast Choice Band can be used to retain the offensive power of Choice Band while outspeeding Pokemon like Normalium Porygon-Z.

Checks and Counters

**Rock- or Ground-types**: Pokemon such as Zygarde, Landorus-T, Mega Tyranitar, Garchomp, Donphan, and Crustle can all survive Victini's attacks and KO Victini with super effective STAB moves

**Bulky Offense**: Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, and Dragonite resist V-Create and are too bulky for Victini's much weaker coverage moves while being able to use effective STAB to defeat Victini

**Stall Megas and Z-Move users**: Mega Altaria, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Audino can set up using boosting moves then stall out while whittling down Victini because of its lack of good boosting moves and are immune to Trick. These are all megas. Give some examples of Z-Move users, like deo-s

**Aegislash**: King's Shield blocks V-Create and prevents Victini from OHKOing and OHKOes Victini with Never-Ending Nightmare.

Eriey there's no real excuse on this, I thought i posted this a while back but I just came over and it looks like it was still in my saved drafts, my apologies.

The updated section has some awkward phrasings but the content is fine. 3/3? Or 4/4, if you count this as two checks, whichever.

However, Victini lacks viable (i’d personally change this word or the “viable” before, sounds weird to me when i read it twice in a row) spammable boosting moves, only having Celebrate, Power-Up Punch, and Work Up, and has competition with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Heatran, and Incineroar due to their ability to raise their damage output by using moves like Dragon Dance, Metal Sound, and Bulk Up. Furthermore, Victini has rather lacking offensive stats, leaving its coverage moves without very much force behind them. Victini loses to Pokemon that can withstand V-Create and are too bulky for its coverage moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar, because of Fire- and Psychic-types' weaknessesthe weaknesses of its Fire / Psychic typing and Victini's lackluster offensive stats.

Blue Flare is fire coverage for Pokemon weak to fireFire such as Magearna, Celesteela, Metagross, and Serperior. It can also beat Zygarde most of the time. The matchup against Substitute + Earthquake Mega Metagross is a 50/50 coinflip, requiring Victini to use Flame Charge if it chooses to use Substitute, but if it does not use Substitute, (AC) Victini will need to use V-create. 212 Special Attack EVs along with a Rash nature allow Victini to OHKO offensive Mega Charizard X after a Z-Celebrate boost, (comma) while 232 Speed EVs allow Victini to outspeed Adamant Choice Scarf Haxorus after a Celebrate boost. 16 Attack and 48 HP are optimized leftover EVs that give Victini the best chances for simultaneously OHKOing a bulky Charge-boosted Zeraora that has used Charge with V-create, tanking two Outrages from specially defensive Mega Charizard X Outrages, and tanking specially defensive Kommo-o's Clangorous Soulblaze to followed by Clanging Scales.

Usage Tips

Unfortunately, because of the this set's lack of bulk investment, hard-hitting hyper(space)offensive Pokemon, even if they're weak to Psychic or Fire, can threaten Victini and should be avoided. Victini is OHKOed by Naganadel, relies on damage rolls for things taking out foes like Mega Lopunny, and gives a Special Attack Download boost to Genesect, causing Victini to have an unfavorable damage roll against offensive Choice Specs Genesect sets. The only time where Victini would not want to use Z-Celebrate immediately is during scenarios where it must consider using Taunt first in order to prevent a crucial status move. These two exceptions are against Mega Mawile and non-Occa Berry Taunt Whimsicott; (SC) both are 50/50s coinflips. Against Mega Mawile, Victini must either use Taunt if Mega Mawile uses Swords Dance or use Z-Celebrate if Mega Mawile attacks immediately. Against Whimsicott, Victini must either use V-create immediately if Whimsicott uses Taunt or use its own Taunt if otherwise not. Against Mega Charizard X, simply use Z-Celebrate into followed by Stored Power, OHKOing offensive sets and 2HKOing it using it again if it is specially defensive; (SC) If it is an Offensive Charizard, then Stored Power will OHKO. If it is a specially defensive Mega Charizard X, then it will be both unable to outspeed Victini after a Dragon Dance and unable to 2HKO it with unboosted Outrage, letting Victini use Stored Power a second time for the KO. Against Zeraora, after using Z-Celebrate turn one where Victini should use Z-Celebrate, act according to what move Zeraora uses. If Zeraora attacks immediately and does not get the small chance of KO'ing KOing or uses Charge, then use V-Create for the OHKO. If it uses Bulk Up, then use Stored Power. Even if Stored Power does not OHKO, Zeraora will be unable to KO Victini before another Stored Power KOs KOes it.

Psychium Z powers Psychic up into Shattered Psyche, most specifically for KOing Kommo-o, but also for Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Mega Lopunny. It is the highest base power move on the set, so it is used to KO Pokemon like Donphan after Sturdy is broken. Blue Flare is fire coverage for takes out Pokemon weak to Fire such as Magearna, Celesteela, (Mega?) Metagross, and Serperior. Glaciate can slow down the opposing Pokemon while also dealing chip damage, which is useful against foes like offensive Mega Charizard X and slow or Choice Band Dragonite sets. It can also beat Zygarde most of the time. Will-O-Wisp can be used to halve the opposing Pokemon's Attack cripple physical attackers as well as do a little bit of chip damage to beat Donphan, Golem, and physically attacking Dragonite.

80 HP and 248 Defense EVs is the most efficient way to tank both burned Golem's Tectonic Rage followed by Sucker Punch, as well as specially attacking Dragonite's Supersonic Skytrike Skystrike followed by Extreme Speed. The extra 180 EVs are put into Special Attack with a Modest nature for maximized reliability in matchups reliant on damage rolls.

Usage Tips
========

Use Glaciate if Victini can survive the current turn and will outspeed the foe on the next turn. This is useful if the foe already outspeeds Victini or is using a Speed-boosting (AH) move, like offensive Mega Charizard X or special Dragonite. Victini should use Will-O-Wisp against physical attackers it cannot KO before being KOed itself, especially if there is an ability to be broken like Dragonite's Multiscale or Donphan's Sturdy. Against Kommo-o, go for Shattered Psyche, (AC) which should always OHKO it as long as Victini is faster. This form variant of Victini can be sent out into Donphan, Golem, and slow Dragonite sets as well as Choice Band Dragonite, which are generally unexpected matchups for a Victini to win. Keep in mind that Victini will not reliably beat a Dragonite that outspeeds it (RC) and will lose to Choice Scarf variants. If Donphan is running Bulldoze, Victini will have to predict a Bulldoze from Donphan anticipate it with Glaciate, although Bulldoze Donphan is not very common. Victini will also have to predict Mega Metagross's Substitute, using either Will-O-Wisp first or Blue Flare immediately rather than Will-O-Wisp if Mega Metagross uses Substitute.

V-create is Victini’s highest damaging strongest move by far, and it can be used to burst Steel-types like Magearna, Celesteela, and Genesect. It can also be used to or beat Pokemon that are unable to effectively hit Victini such as offensive Mew and generally frail Pokemon such as Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, non-Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and Volcarona. Bolt Strike can be used against Water-types like Tapunium Z Tapu Fini and Greninja (RC) as well as Flying-types like Choice Scarf Togekiss. Usage Tips
========

Examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, and Dragonite. V-create should be used against Pokemon that can be OHKOed by it, like Mega Gardevoir and Magearna. If V-create does not OHKO and the foe is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt based on typing, such as against Greninja and Nihilego, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt based on typing. Use Trick against stall Pokemon without a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type:(space)Null and Kee Berry Mew. In the case of However, when facing Mewnium Z Mew, (AC) you will need to use V-create against Mewnium Z variants and Trick against Kee Berry variants instead. It is worth noting that Mewnium Z Mew this variant will often use Fake Out on the first turn, allowing Victini to use Trick on the first turn against any kind of Mew (RC) and then reactively deciding decided whether to use V-create or not depending on if Mew has used Fake Out. However, if the Mew user predicts this and does not use Fake Out, Victini will be locked into Trick and will be helpless. Victini will outspeed and OHKO non-Timid Choice Scarf Porygon-Z (RC) and occasionally OHKO bulkier Normalium Z Porygon-Z. It will also only sometimes OHKO Bulk Up Outrage Zeraora and 2HKO Kommo-o. In the case of Kommo-o, the 36% flinch chance of two Zen Headbutts can sometimes remedy this.

Other Options
========
A physical Psychium Z set with moves like V-create, Bolt Strike, Zen Headbutt, and Light Screen or Magic Coat can be run. Physical sets retains the ability to beat Pokemon like Tapu Lele, (AC) and Mega Gardevoir, as well as still beating and Kommo-o. Magic Coat and Light Screen can also beat either variant of Tapu Fini given that you predict the set correctly, using Z-Magic Coat or Light Screen against Waterium Z variants and directly using Bolt Strike against Tapunium Z variants. It This Victini set can also beat Choice Specs Greninja with Z-Magic Coat and then using followed by Bolt Strike or V-create depending on Greninja's move. Z-Light Screen can allow Victini to beat Heatran and Primarina most of the time. Both Z-Magic Coat and Z-Light Screen sets can also 50/50 force Volcarona into mind games. An Icium Z set with moves like Will-O-Wisp, Blue Flare, Taunt, and Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon that are weak to Ice like Dragonite, Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Donphan that are weak to Ice. However, because this will make its Victini's STAB moves especially lackluster, this set should only be used to lure Dragonite.

===================
**Rock- or Ground-types**: Pokemon such as Zygarde, Landorus-T, Mega Tyranitar, and Garchomp can all survive Victini's attacks and KO Victini it with super effective STAB moves.

**Bulky Offense**: Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados, Krookodile, and Incineroar resist V-create, (krook doesn't) (AC) and are too bulky for Victini's much weaker coverage moves, (AC) while being able to use and can defeat Victini with super effective STAB moves to defeat Victini.

**Stall Megas Pokemon Evolutions and Z-Move users**: Mega Slowbro, Kyurem, and Psychium Z Deoxys-S can set up using boosting moves, then stall Victini out while whittling it down because of its lack of good boosting moves and their immunity to Trick.

**Aegislash**: King's Shield blocks V-create and prevents Victini from OHKOing Aegislash, and Aegislash which OHKOes Victini in return with Never-Ending Nightmare.

[OVERVIEW]
Victini is a good Pokemon in 1v1 because of its Fire typing and its access to V-create, allowing it to beat common threats such as Magearna, Mega Charizard Y, and Genesect. Fire is generally a good offensive type, (AC) and V-create is a supremely powerful Fire-type STAB move, allowing Victini to beat many of the omnipresent bulky Steel-types, like Celesteela and Mega Mawile. Defensively, Victini's resistance to Fairy-type STAB attacks from popular Fairy-types Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir allow it to win these matchups provided that it is allows it to beat them when running a physical set. It can also be quite versatile, with because of its base 100 stats across the board (RC) and because it has a nice movepool including that includes moves such as Blue Flare, Celebrate, Magic Coat, Will-O-Wisp, and Glaciate, it can allowing it to run a variety of viable sets to beat diverse threats. However, Victini lacks decent spammable boosting moves, only having Z-Celebrate, Power-Up Punch, and Work Up, and as a result has competition with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Heatran, and Incineroar due to their ability to raise their damage output by using moves like Dragon Dance, Metal Sound, and Bulk Up. Furthermore, Victini's has rather lacking offensive stats, leaving leave its coverage moves without much force behind them, (comma) Victini meaning it loses to Pokemon that can withstand V-create and are too bulky for its coverage moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar, because of the weaknesses of its Fire / Psychic typing and Victini's lackluster offensive stats.

Zen Headbutt can be used against Poison-types like Mega Venusaur, Nihilego, and Naganadel. Trick can shut down stall Pokemon that do not use Z-Crystals or Mega Stones like Type:(space)Null, Kee Berry Mew, and Pyukumuku. It can also be used to 50/50 Deoxys-Speed, force Deoxys-S into a coinflip between using Trick against Iron Defense and V-create against Taunt.

Usage Tips
========

In return, (AC) Victini will take care of out Pokemon like Magearna, Celesteela, and most Mega Metagross. Bulky Water-type Pokemon like Primarina and Tapu Fini can take care of Ground-types like Donphan, Zygarde, and Landorus-Therian.

===================

It can also be quite versatile (RC) with its base 100 stats across the board and nice movepool that includes moves such as Blue Flare, Celebrate, Magic Coat, Will-O-Wisp, and Glaciate, (AC) allowing it to run a variety of viable sets to beat diverse threats. However, Victini lacks decent spammable boosting moves, only having Z-Celebrate, Power-Up Punch, and Work Up, and, (AC) as a result, (AC) has competition competes with other Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Heatran, and Incineroar due to their ability to raise their damage output by using moves like Dragon Dance, Metal Sound, and Bulk Up. Furthermore, Victini's rather lacking offensive stats leave its coverage moves without much force behind them, meaning it loses to Pokemon that can withstand V-create and are too bulky for its coverage moves, like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Tyranitar.

V-create is also a must-have, sporting a huge 180 Base Power on top of STAB and an Attack boost from Z-Celebrate to beat threats that resist Stored Power like Gardevoir and Magearna, as well as a Zeraora that has used Charge.

Set Details
========
212 Special Attack EVs along with a Rash nature allow Victini to OHKO offensive Mega Charizard X after a Z-Celebrate boost, while 232 Speed EVs allow Victini to outspeed Adamant Choice Scarf Haxorus after a boost. 16 Attack and 48 HP EVs give Victini the best chances for of simultaneously OHKOing a bulky Charge-boosted Zeraora with V-create, tanking two Outrages from specially defensive Mega Charizard X, and tanking specially defensive Kommo-o's Clangorous Soulblaze followed by Clanging Scales.

Usage Tips
========

Unfortunately, because of this set's lack of bulk investment, hard-hitting hyper offensive Pokemon, even if they're weak to Psychic or Fire, can threaten Victini and should be avoided. Victini is OHKOed by Naganadel, relies on damage rolls for taking out foes like Mega Lopunny, and gives a Special Attack Download boost to Genesect, causing Victini offensive Choice Specs sets to have an unfavorable damage roll against offensive Choice Specs sets Victini. The only times where Victini would may not want to use Z-Celebrate immediately is are during scenarios where it must consider using Taunt first in order to prevent a crucial status move. Against Mega Charizard X, simply use Z-Celebrate followed by Stored Power, which will OHKOing offensive sets and 2HKOing it Mega Charizard X if it is specially defensive; (fix spacing)specially defensive Mega Charizard X will be both unable to outspeed Victini after a Dragon Dance and unable to 2HKO it with unboosted Outrage.

Psychium Z powers Psychic up into Shattered Psyche, which is used most specifically for KOing Kommo-o, but also for Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Mega Lopunny. Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple physical attackers as well as do a little bit of chip damage to beat Donphan, Golem, and physically attacking physical Dragonite.

Set Details
========

80 HP and 248 Defense EVs is are the most efficient way to tank both burned Golem's Tectonic Rage followed by Sucker Punch, as well as specially attacking special Dragonite's Supersonic Skystrike followed by Extreme Speed. The extra 180 EVs are put into Special Attack with a Modest nature for maximized reliability in matchups reliant on damage rolls.

Usage Tips
========

Victini will also have to predict Mega Metagross's use of Substitute (RC) by using Blue Flare immediately rather than Will-O-Wisp if Mega Metagross uses Substitute (repetition).

If V-create does not OHKO the foe and it is able to OHKO Victini after the drop to its defenses or can take advantage of the drop to its Speed, such as against Tapu Fini and or Mega Venusaur, use Bolt Strike or Zen Headbutt as appropriate. Use Flame Charge if the Speed boost will let Victini outspeed and KO the foe on the next turn, like against Substitute users such as Mega Pinsir, Serperior, and Mega Lopunny. The matchup against Substitute + Earthquake Mega Metagross is a coinflip, requiring Victini to use Flame Charge if it Mega Metagross chooses to use Substitute, but and V-create if it does not use Substitute, Victini will need to use V-create. Use Trick against stall Pokemon without a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type: Null or and non-Z-Move Pyukumuku.

Moves

Celebrate is required for this set to function, allowing Victini to boost up all of its stats with Z-Celebrate as well as raise Stored Power's Base Power to 120. Stored Power allows Victini to hit foes like Mega Charizard X, Kommo-o, and boosted Bulk Up Zeraora. V-create is also a must-have, sporting a huge 180 Base Power on top of STAB and an Attack boost from Z-Celebrate to beat threats that resist Stored Power like Gardevoir and Magearna, as well as a Zeraora that has used Charge.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Fast Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Z Zeraora and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Mega Slowbro. In return, Victini will can take care of Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur. Mold Breaker Outrage users, namely Choice Scarf Haxorus and Mega Gyarados, can beat Dragonite, one of the greatest threats in 1v1.

Moves
========

Psychium Z powers Psychic up into Shattered Psyche, which is used most specifically for KOing Kommo-o, but also for Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Mega Lopunny. Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple physical attackers as well as do a little bit of chip damage to beat Donphan, Golem, and physically attacking physical Dragonite.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Victini will also have to predict Mega Metagross's use of Substitute (RC) by using Blue Flare immediately rather than Will-O-Wisp if Mega Metagross uses Substitute (repetition).

Moves
========

It can also be used to force Deoxys-S into a coinflip between using Trick against Iron Defense and V-create against Taunt Taunt against Trick or Iron Defense against V-create (see earlier comment).

Set Details
=========

Usage Tips
========

Use Trick against stall Pokemon without a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone like Type: Null and Kee Berry Mew (moved; ambiguity) that do not want to be locked into a single move like Type: Null and Kee Berry Mew. However, when facing Mewnium Z Mew, you Victini will need to use V-create instead. It is worth noting that this variant of Mew will often use Fake Out on the first turn, allowing Victini to use Trick on the first turn against any kind of Mew and reactively decided whether to use V-create or not. In the case of Kommo-o, the 36% significant (too detailed) flinch chance of two Zen Headbutts can sometimes remedy this.

Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon like Electrium Z Zeraora and Tapu Bulu can beat Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro, (AC) while Victini can take care of Pokemon like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur. Other Options
========
A physical Psychium Z set with moves like V-create / Bolt Strike / Zen Headbutt / Light Screen or Magic Coat can be run. Physical sets retains the ability to beat Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Mega Gardevoir, and Kommo-o. Magic Coat and or Light Screen can also beat either variant of Tapu Fini, (AC) given that you predict the Tapu Fini's set correctly, by using Z-Magic Coat or Light Screen against Waterium Z variants and directly using Bolt Strike against Tapunium Z variants. An Icium Z set with moves like Will-O-Wisp / Blue Flare / Taunt / Glaciate can be run to beat Pokemon that are weak to Ice like Dragonite, Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Donphan. However, because this set will make Victini's STAB moves especially lackluster, this set it should only be used to lure in and beat Dragonite.

===================
**Rock- or and Ground-types**: Pokemon such as Zygarde, Landorus-T, Mega Tyranitar, and Garchomp can all survive Victini's attacks and KO it with super effective STAB moves.
