Vikavolt is a strong offensive pivot and with its respectable bulk paired with a decent dual typing in Bug and Electric, it is able to check potent threats like Lucario, Doublade, and non-Stone Edge Cobalion. Vikavolt's high Special Attack stat allows it to be a powerful wallbreaker capable of breaking through its natural checks like Rhyperior and Gigalith over time. However, Vikavolt faces a lot of competition from other Electric-types like Toxtricity and Rotom-W that can fulfill its role as a wallbreaker better. Toxtricity is able to check the aforementioned Fighting-types by virtue of its typing and has a much better Speed tier that prevents it from being as easily taken advantage of by foes like Pangoro and Machamp. Volt Switch allows Vikavolt to pivot out against foes like Toxtricity and Assault Vest Copperajah that normally switch into it. Substitute helps give Vikavolt more opportunities to wallbreak, notably helping it break past foes like non-Rock Blast Rhyperior more easily. However, Vikavolt is still vulnerable to being revenge killed by Noivern thanks to its ability Infiltrator. Energy Ball is an option over Volt Switch to remove Rhyperior more easily as well as inflict more damage to foes like Gigalith and Rotom-W. The Speed investment allows Vikavolt to outspeed foes like Sylveon and Vileplume with the rest placed into HP to improve its ability to check foes like Cobalion.

Inteleon and Celebi appreciate Vikavolt being able to bring them in safely to remove foes like Rhyperior, Steelix, and Gigalith that Vikavolt can struggle to break through. They can also bring it in safely against foes like Gastrodon and Bronzong, which it can use as a free opportunity to set up a Substitute. Other pivots like Noivern and Choice Scarf Flygon can also bring Vikavolt in safely against bulky Water-types like Milotic, make up for its very underwhelming Speed tier, and can revenge kill the likes of Cobalion and Lucario to take the pressure off Vikavolt having to defensively check them. Noivern and Vikavolt also appreciate each other's ability to wear down their shared checks in Gigalith and Rhyperior. Entry hazards from partners like Cobalion, Roserade, and Celebi are appreciated to help wear down foes like Rhyperior into 2HKO range from Bug Buzz. In return, Vikavolt can invite in Rhyperior and Gigalith to give its teammates opportunities to wallbreak as well as pressure many of Cobalion's defensive responses in Doublade, Jellicent, and Golispod. Rhyperior and Gigalith make for great partners as they can check foes like Toxtricity and Noivern that can revenge kill Vikavolt and can also set up entry hazards to support Vikavolt too.

Substitute helps give Vikavolt more opportunities to wallbreak, notably helping it break past foes like non-Rock Blast Rhyperior more easily with not having to fear. idk what you're going for here but idt it's necessary anyway However, Vikavolt is still vulnerable to being revenge killed by Noivern thanks to its ability Infiltrator. The Speed investment allows Vikavolt to outspeed foes like Sylveon and Vileplume with the rest placed into HP to improve its ability to check foes like Cobalion.

consider an energy ball mention, it helps a ton w/ gigalith and rhyp in my (limited) experience and also eases the gastro mu a lot

In return, Vikavolt can invite in Rhyperior and Gigalith to give them its teammates (sounds like you're giving rhyp/giga opportunities which is rly confusing) opportunities to wallbreak as well as pressure many of Cobalion's defensive responses in Doublade, Jellicent, and Golispod. Rhyperior and Gigalith make for great partners as they can check foes like Toxtricity and Noivern that can revenge kill Vikavolt and can also set up entry hazards to support Vikavolt too.
