[OVERVIEW]
- Due to Vivillon's access to one of the strongest boosting moves in the game, Quiver Dance, it is able to perform as one of the tier's most potent setup sweepers.
- With access to Sleep Powder, Vivillon is able to take advantage of its foe by using them as setup bait after putting them to sleep.
- Moreover, Vivillon's primary ability, Compound Eyes, increases the low accuracy of Sleep Powder and Hurricane, which helps make both of these moves a lot more reliable.
- However, Vivillon is held back by both its typing, which provides Vivillon a crippling 4x weakness to Stealth Rock, and its poor bulk, causing it to be easily revenge killed by priority moves.
- Vivillon's base Speed is mediocre for an offensive Pokemon, causing it to rely on Quiver Dance boosts in order to outspeed key offensive threats such as Meloetta and Virizion.

Moves
========
- Quiver Dance is the crux of the set, allowing Vivillon to boost its Speed, Special Attack, and Special Defense.
- It is important to know that Vivillon will be able to outspeed a good amount of the tier's relevant Choice Scarf users such as Rotom-C, Hitmonlee, Emboar, and Vanilluxe after a single boost.
- Sleep Powder works in tandem with Compound Eyes, which provides Sleep Powder an accuracy of 97.
- Hurricane also synergizes with Compound Eyes, increasing its accuracy to 91, which helps provide Vivillon a fairly reliable way to hit decently hard without a boost.
- Substitute allows Vivillon to scout the opponent's next move, whether if it'd be switching out into a Pokemon to take Sleep Powder or just straight up attack Vivillon. Substitute also allows Vivillon to dodge status moves from Pokemon such as Whimsicott and priority attacks from Pokemon like Sneasel and Lycanroc-Midday.
- Energy Ball is vital coverage which allow Vivillon to deal with Pokemon that resist Hurricane such as Rhydon and Lanturn, as well as dealing more damage to Pokemon such as Jellicent and Slowking.
========
- The provided EV spread, along with a Timid nature, maximizes Vivillon's offensive capabilities as much as possible.
- Flyinium Z enables Vivillon to 2HKO common defensive checks such as Steelix, Specially Defensive Golbat, and Rhydon with a +1 Supersonic Skystrike followed up by a secondary attack.
- Focus Sash is an alternative to Flyinium-Z as it ensures Vivillon will be able to set up at least once if it is at full HP. For obvious reasons, do note run Substitute if you opt for Focus Sash since Substitute will cancel out the effects of Focus Sash.
- Compound Eyes is the only ability Vivillon should be running, as it drastically improves the accuracy of Hurricane and Sleep Powder, making these two moves a lot more reliable.
